A fight between a NY Jets fan and Buffalo Bills fan at MetLife Stadium this weekend ended in a savage knockout ... with the Bills fan slumping into his seat after being knocked unconscious.
TMZ Sports has the shocking footage -- which shows the two men tussling in the stands during the 2nd half of the Bills vs. Jets matchup ... right after the Bills started pulling away.
You can see the Jets fan take a swing -- and he connects right to the head of the Bills fan ... and the guy immediately is out cold.
According to witnesses, the Jets fan left the scene before security arrived.
One witness tells TMZ Sports, "The Bills fan had been shooting his mouth off before the fight and the Jets fans took exception."
You can see the Bills fan being tended to by other fans -- including another man in a Jets jersey.
We spoke to the NJ State Police who tell us ... the Jets fan was apprehended as he fled the scene and was arrested and charged with simple assault.
We're told ... at the scene, it did not appear the Bills fan suffered "serious injury."
The State Police also tell us they have "very good footage" of the entire incident from their state-of-the-art surveillance system -- and warn others, "Anyone would be a fool to commit a crime inside MetLife Stadium."
Terry Pegula's a Loser
I Could've Saved The Bills!

Donald Trump is taking aim at the new Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula ... saying he's a LOSER who won't lead his team to a title.
Trump was in the running to buy the team, but was ultimately outbid by Pegula -- and this morning, Donald is saying the whole thing was a blessing in disguise.
"Even though I refused to pay a ridiculous price for the Buffalo Bills, I would have produced a winner. Now that won’t happen," Trump tweeted.
Trump added, "The people of Buffalo should be happy Terry Pegula got the team but I hope he does better w/the Bills than he has w/the Sabres. Good luck!"
Of course, Trump's referring to the Buffalo Sabres -- which Pegula also owns -- a team that flat out sucked over that past couple of seasons.
Trump concluded with a parting shot at the NFL -- "The @nfl games are so boring now that actually, I’m glad I didn’t get the Bills. Boring games, too many flags, too soft!"

Check out the new Bills owner on his way to watch his new team take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
Cool that he's dressing like a fan ... or is he trying too hard?
Not Upset I Didn't Get The Bills
... Bad Investment Anyway
10/9/2014 7:07 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Donald Trump tells TMZ Sports ... he's not upset that he wasn't able to strike a deal to buy the Buffalo Bills -- because it would have been a bad investment anyway.
Trump was one of the big names in the hunt for the NFL team -- which ultimately sold to business mogul Terry Pegula for $1.4 BILLION.
But when we asked Trump about the situation Wednesday night, he didn't seem bothered by it at all ... telling us he didn't think it was a great financial move anyway.
As for whether Trump makes a run at another NFL team in the future -- guess we'll have to wait and see.
I'll CONSIDER Buying the Buffalo Bills
4/1/2014 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
The Buffalo Bills could have a new owner -- one Donald J. Trump -- who says he's been contacted about buying a piece of the team and will "take a look at it."
Trump was on WBEN radio in Buffalo, NY when they asked him about taking over the NFL team now that longtime owner Ralph Wilson has passed away.
"People have actually talked to me about the Bills. I mean, the group of people called me -- would I be interested in investing, and I'll take a look at it. I mean, I look at a lot of things. I'll take a look at it."
When asked if he would move the team out of Buffalo, Trump said ... "If it were me I'd keep the team in Buffalo. I think it's something that is really vital to the area. It would be catastrophic, in my opinion, if Buffalo lost the Buffalo Bills."
