Well, this is awkward ... Matt Barnes cracking a marriage joke directed at his wife just weeks before they split up -- but it was all scripted for a movie scene they were doing together ... and TMZ Sports has the footage.

Just a few months ago, Matt and Gloria Govan got together to film a cameo in the upcoming movie "Chocolate City" ... all about the life of a black male exotic dancer.

During the scene, Matt plays a guy who's at a female strip club with his buddies ... and Gloria plays their sassy hot waitress.

The two sides exchange quips -- and Matt eventually fires off a barb at Gloria ... saying, "With that attitude you ain't never getting married."

Yeesh.

As we previously reported, Matt and Gloria separated a short time later ... and now it seems their headed for divorce.

Nick Cannon is all heart broken over his divorce from Mariah Carey -- and by heart broken we mean partying his face off in Vegas. He celebrated his birthday by nearly getting overwhelmed by a pack of snow bunnies. Watch ... it will make sense.

See, divorce is hard for Nick … not to like.

L.A. Clippers star Matt Barnes has separated from his reality star wife Gloria Govan ... TMZ Sports has learned -- and sources close to the couple tell us it's all over "trust issues."

Barnes and Govan were married back in 2012 -- and have 5-year-old twin boys together.

Sources connected to the couple tell us Matt and "Basketball Wives: LA" star Gloria have been separated for about 6 weeks.

We're told they're still technically living in the same house -- but it's just temporary and it's just a matter of time before one of them moves out and they start the divorce process.

Maybe one of the biggest signs things were going south ... Matt hasn't posted a picture of Gloria on Instagram in months. And we haven't been able to find a picture of Gloria wearing her wedding ring since late-August.

Famous exes Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak went out for dinner Sunday night in Hollywood ...which wouldn't be a big deal -- they're still friends and co-workers -- except that she just told the world B.J.'s her dream guy. Sooo ... reuniting?

Our photog saw them at Katsuya, but neither wanted to talk. They did drive off together though.

The former "Office" co-stars dated ten years ago, and Kaling recently told Howard Stern she was heartbroken when he called it off ... and would have married him, had he asked.

They've remained good friends since the break-up -- and B.J. has been an executive producer on "The Mindy Project." But does her revelation turn friendly dinners into awkward ones? BJ's already called their relationship "complicated."

Jennifer Lopez is all about her ex-boyfriends this week ... first she hung out with Diddy at a nightclub -- then she checked out her ex-fiance Ben Affleck's hit movie, and offered some strange proof.

Lopez went to see "Gone Girl" Saturday night ... which we know because she posted a pic of her feet up in the theater with the caption, "#GONEGIRL." Weird, but maybe her booty isn't the only thing fans dig.

As we previously reported ... the doggie argument got so bad Ray J's security had to step in and break it up. Ray J won the battle, but the war is still up for grabs.

Princess says their 3 other Malteses shouldn't have to go through a break up as well ... they are heartsick and visitation won't work because things are so acrimonious.

Ray J and girlfriend Princess Love broke up Thursday night and things went nuclear when she tried to leave with their dog Boogotti ... and a huge custody battle for the pup is now underway.

According to our sources, when the "Love & Hip Hop" stars called it quits, Ray offered to leave while she packed her belongings. But we're told when she started to pack up Boogotti's things, Ray J went off.

Our sources say the two went at it over the three-pound Maltese puppy, to the point where Ray J's security had to step in.

We're told Ray J's security guard eventually got hold of Boogotti and the dog is with Ray J now ... but our sources also say Ray J knows this won't be the the end of the battle.

Princess Love took the fight to Instagram and posted an old photo of her with Floyd Mayweather.

Iggy Azalea is fighting back hard against her ex boyfriend -- saying she's not gonna let the 6-month fling take her for everything she's worth .. or even half.

We broke the story ... her ex-bf Hefe Wine is filing for divorce, claiming they've been common law married since 2008 -- which would entitle him to half the money she made over that time. But today in Nashville, Iggy said Hefe's got the facts all wrong about this so-called "marriage."

Iggy added ... she can see right through Hefe and knows his true intentions. Just watch her call him out for it in this clip.

Robin Thicke tried and tried hard to save his marriage, but it didn't work. TMZ has learned Paula Patton has filed for divorce ... and as for the most important asset in the marriage ... she wants joint custody.

Paula cites the usual ... irreconcilable differences.

She wants joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son Julian.

The divorce was filed in L.A., so there will be no issues over whether Robin may have strayed. It's irrelevant.

We're also told the divorce is "harmonious," and there are no real issues that will cause a conflict.

Paula says the date of separation was February 21.

Stephen Collins is a lowlife who is deflecting his confessed child molestation by falsely accusing his wife of offering to cover up his misdeeds for a hefty price ... this according to her lawyer.

Faye Grant's attorney, Larry Ginsberg, tells TMZ, Collins' lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has defamed Grant by accusing her of extortion. Kaplan says Grant held the audio over Collins' head for a price.

Ginsberg says Grant did not peddle the audiotape to the media ... rather she gave it to both the NYPD and the LAPD 2 years ago after he refused to get help for pedophilia.

And contrary to Kaplan's claim Grant wanted to fleece Collins out of his entire fortune ... Ginsberg says, "Faye never asked to receive more than the 50% of the community property to which she is entitled."

As for the extortion claim ... Ginsberg says absolutely not true. He does say Grant requested he create a trust fund for their daughter and make a contribution to a charitable organization benefiting sexually abused kids, but Ginsberg says it's outrageous to call that extortion.

Stephen Collins' lawyer is putting his client's estranged wife Faye Grant on blast, claiming she has been trying to use the audiotape for years to extort money out of the actor.

Collins' lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, tells TMZ, "Over the course of my representation of Stephen in the divorce case, Faye has repeatedly threatened to give this audiotape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled."

Kaplan goes on, "When these demands were rebuffed, Faye attempted -- without success -- to peddle the tape in numerous ways to numerous different people. It appears that she has finally found an audience for this tape -- not surprisingly, on the eve of the trial in the divorce case where, again, she is seeking millions of dollars more than that to which she is legally entitled."

Kaplan then says he'd like to address the audio confession but can't, saying, "Though we would like to address the tape itself, the circumstances dictate that we must regrettably refrain from doing so at this time."

And a source close to Collins says the incidents on the audiotape occurred between 20 and 40 years ago.

Michael Strahan punched his ticket Monday night for the SMOKE SHOW ... as in the ridiculously hot chick he was out with in New York City.

Strahan was in full swag mode -- stepping out of his Bentley -- with a brunette AND a blonde, but as the group strolls into the Mercer Hotel, it's pretty obvious the brunette is THE CHICK ... and the blonde is just the friend.

TMZ has learned the brunette is Marianna Hewitt -- an Internet makeup blog host and former beauty queen -- and in the vid you see her start to hold Michael's arm (like a gf would) ... but then quickly stop herself.

We're told it's nothing serious though ... at most just a date. For now. This would be Michael's first public relationship since he and Nicole Murphy broke off their engagement.

Mariah Carey may have just fired her first shot at Nick Cannon ... singing, "I know you cheated, motherf***er."

Mariah was in Tokyo ... singing Billie Holiday's "Don't Explain," a song about a cheating lover.

Listen closely ... right around 7 seconds in, it sounds like she changes the lyrics from "And I know you cheat/Right or wrong, don't matter" to "I know you cheated motherf***er."

Turns out Nick Cannon may have been a decoy for Amber Rose ... because it seems the real Nick of her desire is Simmons.

Yep, you heard it right. The son of rock god Gene Simmons has just scored the rebound of the year.

Our spies at Playhouse in Hollywood caught Amber and Nick grinding it out ... leaving the club arm-in-arm.

There were signs ... you may remember last week they went to a restaurant together but there was no overt signs of affection.

So Amber's jam is a 6-foot-7 white dude who probably has a big tongue.

Nick Cannon will be divorcing Mariah Carey ... yet he's turned her into Jesus Christ.

Cannon was at Playhouse in Hollywood Thursday night to celebrate his birthday. As celebs are known to do, Nick took off his shirt at one point and revealed the massive new ink.

It's hard to make out the details from the photo, but our Nick sources say the tattoo shows Jesus on the cross with angel wings coming off the end the cross.

And in the smoke department ... Amber Rose was there.
