Brad Pitt has just set the stage for a custody war ... asking for joint custody of the 6 kids he shares with Angelina Jolie ... TMZ has learned.

Brad answered Angelina's divorce petition and squarely takes issue with her request for sole physical custody of the kids. She wanted Brad to only have visitation.

TMZ broke the story, Angelina checked the box for sole custody after Brad allegedly struck Maddox on a private jet.

FYI ... California judges favor joint custody, unless it would be harmful to the kids.

Neither Brad nor Angelina mention spousal or child support.

Brad gives the same separation date as Angelina ... Sept. 15th.

Jermaine Jackson's estranged wife is making a list -- and checking it twice, we're sure -- to make sure she gets half their stuff, and she's especially eyeing two fancy Michael Jackson paintings.

Halima Rashid's divorce docs include a list of assets the couple amassed during 11 years of marriage. There's little stuff, like an Apple TV receiver and flower pots, and plenty of big ticket items too ... like the MJ portraits, entitled "Abstract" and "Sofa."

She doesn't include the current value of the paintings, but only because she hasn't had them appraised yet. As for vehicles -- she says their Ferrari and Jeep are worth about $133k, and she wants her cut.

Dakota Fanning will not be a (grown) child of divorce after all ... her pops just yanked his divorce docs.

Dakota's father, Steven Fanning, is dismissing his divorce petition from Heather, his wife of almost 27 years.

Sources connected with the family tell us Steven and Heather will try to work their differences out. They do not want to give up on the marriage.

We broke the story ... Steven filed for the split late last week, citing irreconcilable differences. He did not ask for spousal support from Heather, and custody of the kids wasn't going to be an issue since both Dakota and her sister, Elle, are adults.

Phaedra Parks says she's officially a single woman -- her divorce from Apollo Nida is now final.

The 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star appeared on "Raq Rants" (on our YouTube channel) and delivered the news. The prominent attorney had been married to Apollo since 2009.

He's currently serving an 8 year prison sentence for cashing stolen checks and laundering more than $2 million.

Phaedra talked about missing the man she's known since childhood -- and whether there's a chance they'll get back together down the road.

Apollo's reaction? His camp told us if the divorce is truly finalized, it's news to him.

Larsa Pippen made a tearful 911 call -- just 3 days after she placed a very similar call to police -- and said Scottie had "gotten crazy again."

The NBA legend's wife called Fort Lauderdale PD on Oct. 4, and this time she was more defiant and insisted police come to their home because he was breaking things.

As we reported ... her first 911 call was made as Scottie stood next to Larsa, telling her to cancel the call for help. The second time around, Larsa is by herself, crying and providing details about the alleged incident.

Scottie Pippen's wife tearfully told a 911 dispatcher her husband was getting aggressive, but he was doing everything he could to call off the cavalry.

We obtained audio of the 911 call made October 1st -- the first time cops responded to the Pippen's Florida home. Later that month, Scottie filed for divorce.

It's unclear what the argument was over, but as we reported Larsa had been hanging with Future and it appears it was a source of conflict.

Mariah Carey's timing is worse than a Jewish dance troupe's ... her divorce from Nick Cannon became final after years of waiting ... just days before her relationship with James Packer exploded.

TMZ broke the story, Mariah was trying for more than a year to get Nick off the dime and sign divorce papers. She's wanted to get married to billionaire James Packer for months, but the divorce made it a non-starter.

We've learned at the end of the summer, right before Mariah and James boarded a yacht in Greece, Nick signed the docs and the divorce was a done deal, clearing the way for a wedding day. That plan was shattered onboard the boat, when James allegedly had a bad incident with Mariah's assistant.

As for the divorce, we're told Nick and Mariah agreed on joint custody of their 5-year-old twins. Neither gets child support.

We're also told the prenup made a property settlement easy ... she gets what she earned during the marriage, and he keeps what he earned.

Nick Cannon's answer to questions about Mariah Carey, divorce and/or James Packer ... is Ike Turner.

We got Nick outside the Halloween party at Vandal in NYC, and of course, he got a heavy dose of Mariah. Makes sense ... as we reported, their divorce was just finalized, and now she's in the middle of cutting all ties with Packer.

Raiders star Donald Penn's wife is calling quits on their marriage ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported ... Donald's wife, Dominique Penn, BLASTED the star lineman over social media earlier this month after he allegedly knocked up a reality TV star.

At the time, Dominique vowed to stick by Donald's side ... but something clearly changed ... 'cause only days after calling out her husband and his alleged baby mama, Dominique filed for divorce in L.A.

In court docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, Dominique -- married to Donald since June 2012 -- lists "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

In the docs -- filed on October 20th -- she asks for spousal support and joint custody of their 3 kids.

We reached out to Donald's rep ... who had no comment.

Slash's ex says his claim they were never married is an absolutely humiliating joke to her and their kids.

Perla Ferrar was out in Beverly Hills when she reacted to the story we broke -- that Slash says they were never husband and wife because Perla hadn't divorced her first husband.

She tells us the Guns N' Roses rocker should have fresh memories of their marriages. Either the first one OR the second!

Slash is playing hardball in his divorce ... we've learned he wants a judge to say he was NEVER married to Perla with the endgame of shutting down her request for a cut of his massive fortune, but he's got a major uphill battle on his hands.

Turns out ... when Perla married Slash in 2001, she was still married to another dude, so Slash thinks she's a bigamist who had no right to share in his earnings during their 13-year marriage.

Here's what we know. Perla married a guy named Carlos Marty back in '93, but it only lasted a month. She got divorced, or so she thought. Turns out, the necessary forms for a final judgment were never properly filed.

Perla assumed she was a single lady when she tied the knot with Slash, and he assumed the same. Years later, the couple tried to get dual citizenship for their son, Cash, and during a document search they discovered she was not properly divorced.

Perla claims the couple then hired a real lawyer in 2009 and he got a judge to finalize her divorce from Carlos and hizzoner made it retroactive to 1994 ... something a judge has the power to do under these circumstances.

But now things aren't so nice, and Slash contends Perla's divorce was never final so he was NEVER married to her. As such, he wants to slam the door shut on her claim to half the earnings he accumulated during the marriage ... which totals in the 10s of millions of dollars.

We did some checking, and there's a law about "putative spouses" ... that means if 2 people have a reasonable belief they're married but there's some irregularity in the documents, a judge can still treat them as married and divide their earnings so each still gets half.

Advantage: Perla.

Ricky Schroder responded to his wife Andrea's divorce the ol' fashioned way ... with pen and paper.

Ricky did NOT have a lawyer file his answer to his wife's divorce ... he did it himself.

The actor is fine handing over physical custody to Andrea. They have 4 kids but only one, 15-year-old Faith, is a minor. Faith's been living with Andrea in Malibu since June, when the couple separated.

Not that this would ever happen ... but Ricky concedes he won't go after Andrea for spousal support.

Andrea filed for divorce in September, weeks shy of their 24th wedding anniversary.

Molly Parker's husband is ending their marriage, but he really took his sweet time doing so.

The "House of Cards" actress married Benedict Matthew Bissonnette in 2002, and he says they separated 7 years later in 2009. Now -- after another 7 years -- he got around to filing for divorce.

Benedict cited irreconcilable differences, but it's been so long you gotta wonder if he remembers the exact nature of the differences.

The good news -- everything seems super cordial. Bissonnette's filing for joint custody of their 10-year-old son and doesn't want either to pay the other spousal support. He also says there are no assets to split.

If only Frank Underwood was this easy to work with.

Keshia Knight Pulliam claims her estranged husband, Ed Hartwell, won't take a paternity test and she wants him locked up for it.

Pulliam just filed new docs saying she's already submitted her court ordered DNA sample ... but Ed missed the deadline. She wants a judge to find him in contempt, and lock him up until he hands over his sample.

That's not all ... Keshia wants Ed to register all his guns solely under his own name. They previously had weapons registered together, but Keshia wants to cut ties due to what she calls Ed's uncontrollable temper.

Dakota Fanning's mom and dad are done after almost 27 years ... TMZ has learned.

Dakota's dad, Steven Fanning, just filed for divorce from his wife, Heather, citing irreconcilable differences. Their kids are both of age, so child support isn't an issue -- Dakota's 22, Elle is 18.

As for spousal support, it's as a bit of a mystery ... Steve didn't check any boxes asking for support from Heather.
