Brooke Mueller Headed Back to Rehab

Published | Updated

Sources tell TMZ Brooke Mueller has fallen off the wagon again and she is telling people she's checking into a rehab facility for 30 days.

Sources say Brooke has been receiving ongoing treatment for substance abuse at her home, but it has not prevented her from slipping, and the signs have been noticeable for those who have recently come in contact with her.

Brooke has been in rehab multiple times for drug and alcohol abuse.

UPDATE: Brooke's rep, Elliot Mintz, tells TMZ, "What we are really talking about is not rehab ... Brooke is receiving professional help in the area of stress management."

Mintz adds, "She recognized that it would be in her best interest to deal with personal issues involving stress that have the potential for challenging her sobriety. By seeking proper guidance, she will be able to continue to resist returning to old behavior patterns."

Shauna's Pre-Rehab Party -- No Booze, No Bra

Published | Updated

Just hours before entering "Celebrity Rehab" -- Shauna Sand hit the club scene in Hollywood last night for one last half-naked hurrah.

On her way out of one of the clubs, we asked Shauna why she's seeking Dr. Drew's help ... and her answer ... was almost as transparent as her dress.

Pointer Sister Set for 'Celebrity Rehab'

Published | Updated

TMZ has learned Bonnie Pointer -- from the Pointer Sisters -- is the newest star to join the cast of "Celebrity Rehab."

The 59-year-old singer has a storied history of drug abuse -- we'll see if Dr. Drew Pinsky can help out.

Pointer will join Shauna Sand, Tila Tequila and bunch of other people you may or may not care about who have already signed on to the show.

'Celebrity Rehab' in Talks with Liza Minnelli

Published | Updated

TMZ has learned "Celebrity Rehab" is setting its sights on Liza Minnelli to headline its new season.

As we first reported, the show was put on ice yesterday because it didn't have the star power it needed to launch the season.

We're told the parties have been negotiating but no deal has been struck. Insiders say the figure being negotiated is "in the $500,000 universe."

We spoke with Liza, who says she has "no interest" in doing the show. But we're told negotiations continue.

Minnelli reportedly said in 2004 she went back into rehab for alcohol addiction.

We've previously reported the names of several other new cast members, including Tila Tequila and Jason Wahler.

We're told the show could begin shooting as early as Friday.

'Celeb Rehab' Postponed -- We Got No Big Drunks

Published | Updated

It should be easier than finding oil in the Gulf ... but "Celebrity Rehab" has been put on ice because they just can't find a big star with a big problem.

Sources connected with the show tell TMZ producers of "Celeb Rehab" can't fill the roster for the new season, which was supposed to start shooting today.

As we first reported, Tila Tequila and Jason Wahler signed on, but there are still holes in the roster. Most important ... we're told there isn't a big headliner.

Our sources say producers offered Lindsay Lohan $1 million and her own show, but LiLo turned them down. We're thinking a good move on Lindsay's part.

Platinum Rapper On Board for 'Celebrity Rehab'

Published | Updated

TMZ has learned Celebrity Rehab is all set to add another star to its cast -- "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony" rapper Bizzy Bone.

We're told Bizzy - real name Byron McCane -- wants to seek treatment for an addiction to marijuana and alcohol.

As we've previously reported, the producers behind the VH1reality show starring Dr. Drew have been on a mission to lock down a cast -- and fast ... or else the show could be in danger.

If the show survives -- Bizzy could join Tila Tequila and Jason Wahler inside the rehab facility.

'Celebrity Rehab' Targets Another Star

Published | Updated

TMZ has learned the people behind "Celebrity Rehab" are closing in on another cast member for the show -- former "Laguna Beach" star Jason Wahler.

Wahler certainly has the prerequisites for the show -- he's been arrested several times in alcohol-related incidents .. like this, this, this, this, and this.

We're told no deal has been signed yet -- but the two sides are getting very close to an agreement.

As TMZ first reported, the VH1 show starring Dr. Drew Pinsky has already locked up Tila Tequila -- but they're still scrambling to fill the rest of the cast.

Tila Tequila: I Have a Problem with Pills

Published | Updated

Tila Tequila has finally revealed why she's agreed to do "Celebrity Rehab" -- besides the obvious face time -- and it all has to do with her penchant for prescription pills.

Tila just took to her blog to say, "I finally admitted to myself that I cannot rely on taking prescription pills everyday for the rest of my life!"

In another classy move, Tila added, "I must not be another Lindsay Lohan" -- but a few paragraphs later, she suggests that LiLo join her on "Celebrity Rehab."

As we previously reported, the show might not go on ... unless producers can lock down a few more celebrities ASAP.

Tila Tequila to Enter 'Celebrity Rehab'

Published | Updated

Tila Tequila is finally seeking professional help -- TMZ has confirmed through multiple sources that the bisexual reality star has committed to do the next season of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab" ... if it doesn't get canceled first.

It's unclear what personal demon Tila will try to conquer with the help of Dr. Drew -- but it certainly won't be her addiction to attention.

But there's one major catch -- as we previously reported -- VH1 is having problems finding other "celebrities" to rehabilitate ... and if they don't find a cast quick, the show could be killed.

So far, no word on who else the show has its sights set on.

Michael Lohan Back In L.A. to Make Plea

Published | Updated

At least one Lohan has made it back to L.A. in time for Lindsay's DUI hearing -- Michael Lohan.

Michael -- who flew in to LAX last night -- claims he still plans to attend Lindsay's hearing tomorrow ... and will try to beg the judge to order his daughter into rehab.

And last night, Michael reaffirmed that if the judge won't let him speak in court -- he'll make his plea outside ... after the hearing ... to anyone willing to listen.

'Celebrity Rehab' Lacking Celebrities

Published | Updated

There is no shortage of celebrities that need rehabilitation -- but the VH1 show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" can't get any of them to star on the show next season.

Sources close to the production tell TMZ they have struck out left and right trying to find A, B, or even C-list celebs for the show. As we first reported, they had their eyes on Lindsay Lohan and Heather Locklear, to name a few, but were quickly shot down.

The show was able to get a tentative commitment from a few D and F-listers, but our sources say the network rejected them.

We're told there was a deadline last Friday to lock down the cast, but since they don't have ANYONE signed on ... the deadline was extended to Wednesday.

One thing is clear -- no cast, no show.

Michael's Rehab Plan for Lindsay: Get Medieval

Published | Updated

Lindsay Lohan's life is hardly a fairy tale, but her father's rehab plan for her is straight out of Brothers Grimm -- because it involves locking her in a lavish castle in the middle of ... Long Island.

As we first reported, Michael Lohan asked the judge in Lindsay's DUI case to send LiLo to inpatient rehab in lieu of sending her to jail for missing alcohol education classes ... and the place Michael suggested to send her is the very pricey Oheka Castle.

Only two problems: First, the castle isn't a rehab facility, it's a lavish hotel and resort where celebs like Kevin Jonas get married.

Second, a rep for Oheka tells TMZ it would cost $10,000 a day to rent the top section of the castle -- the only part that's isolated enough to serve as a rehab getaway.

That's a little steep for Lindsay these days, but Michael claims, "several family members have come forward" to help pay for Lindsay's treatment. He's also hoping the castle's owner will give him a friends and family discount.

Once upon a time, indeed.

Judge to DMX: No 'Celebrity Rehab' for You!

Published | Updated

A judge has denied rapper DMX's request to leave the state so he can be a part of Dr. Drew Pinsky's "Celebrity Rehab" -- which, considering the doc's track record, is probably a good thing.

X is currently in jail in Arizona for violating his probation. Dr. Drew offered to treat DMX at his rehab clinic in California -- and tape the rapper's progress for the show, of course -- but on Tuesday an Arizona judge shot down X's request to hop the border so he could enroll.

According to a rep for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona, the judge rejected the rapper's petition for one reason -- he's already doing really well in the Arizona court-appointed substance abuse program, which ends early in July.

After that, the judge says, DMX can pursue treatment at Dr. Drew's facility -- but by then, taping will already have begun for "Celeb Rehab" and X will have missed his chance.

'Celebrity Rehab' Wants a Piece of DMX

Published | Updated

DMX is the #1 draft pick to appear on the next season of "Celebrity Rehab" -- that is, if the rehab people can somehow find a way to keep him from being locked up.

DMX's attorney, Gary Jenkins, tells TMZ reps for "Rehab" contacted him after X was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly violating his probation by using drugs.

Jenkins says the "Rehab" team is considering sending someone to DMX's next court hearing to speak with the judge -- just like Dr. Drew did with Jessica Sierra from "American Idol" -- to try and get X placed in their care instead of being locked up.

The rapper is currently being held on no bond and is expected back in court March 16.

Our sources say the 3-minute conversation ended with Corey saying, "I do not need help."

We're also told the casting producers spoke with Corey's mom last October at an autograph convention, pitching the show.
