Dez Bryant I Want to Be a Cowboy for Life
Dez Bryant tells TMZ Sports ... he would NEVER consider playing for another team in the NFC East -- because he wants to spend the rest of his NFL career on the Dallas Cowboys!!!
The wide receiver was ballin' it up at the Gridiron Celebrity Hoops charity event in Harlem yesterday when he told us straight up ... he doesn't even WANNA THINK about playing for another squad.
"I don't even think about leaving Dallas ... I'm Dallas forever. It's gonna stay that way."
We also asked him to name the best owner in the NFL -- let's just say he gave the right answer if he wants to stay in Big D.
Kenyon Martin Cowboys Will Win the Super Bowl (Update: No They Won't)
NBA star Kenyon Martin has picked a longshot to win the Super Bowl ... a reaaaaal longshot.
Martin was leaving a shoe store in Harlem last night when we asked for his pick to win the big game -- his answer? THE COWBOYS!!!
Obviously, there's a bit of a problem with that pick ... since, you know, they're not exactly playing.
But hey, ya gotta respect the enthusiasm.
Brooke Hogan Calls Off Engagement With NFL Boyfriend
Eat your vitamins and say your prayers brothers ... 'cause TMZ has learned Brooke Hogan is officially single again.
Sources close to Brooke tell us Hulk's daughter ended her engagement to Dallas Cowboys center Phil Costa a few weeks ago ... after he proposed in Vegas back in June.
We're told Brooke realized things had moved way too fast, too soon ... so she decided to call it quits and focus on her music -- before making things official forever.
Our sources say Hogan recently moved back to L.A. to put the finishing touches on her new album ... and she wanted to be closer to Momma Hogan.
Brooke posted this ringless photo a few days ago.
Looks like she won't have much trouble finding a rebound dude.

NFL Star Major Wright Sued Over Giant African Diamonds
NFL star Major Wright just got into serious heat over his side hustle -- AFRICAN DIAMONDS -- and now he's being chased down by a couple of scary loan sharks.
Here's the short of it ... when he's not playing ball, Wright operates a diamond trading company called TDW Diamonds, and allegedly borrowed $75,000 last year in order to purchase raw South African diamonds (ranging from 21-31.5 carats).
Problem is ... the lenders are saying they still haven't been repaid, and the interest rate is borderline mafia-level.
According to their lawsuit, lenders Jimmy Michel and Marc Geffrard claim Wright promised to repay the loan PLUS 100% interest by March 2012 ... a total of $150,000 ... but that never happened.
It's now been more than a year and Michel and Geffrard say they still haven't been paid. They're suing for the full $150,000 plus even more interest.
P.S. -- the loan sharks are gonna get screwed because under Florida law, if anyone charges more than 18 percent on a loan, they forfeit their right to collect any interest at all. So, by (allegedly) signing a dumb contract, the two footballers may have outsmarted the sharks in the end.
Calls to Wright weren't returned.

Troy Aikman Drops Millions On 2nd Home In 3 Months
Ex-Dallas Cowboys QB Troy Aikman needs just one more home in Dallas ... then he'll have one for each of his Super Bowl trophies ... cuz dude just dropped millions on ANOTHER swanky new mansion ... TMZ has learned.
The Fox Sports commentator paid $4.3 million for a 5-bedroom red brick home overlooking Turtle Creek Lake in the Highland Park area. One of the main selling points -- according to the listing -- DUCKS in the backyard. Obviously he's never had ducks in the backyard ... because they crap everywhere.
The neighborhood must be great ... because this is the 2nd crib he's bought there in the last 3 months --- in July, Aikman spent $4.25 million for a 10,000 sq. foot house not far away.
We're no mathematicians ... but that's almost $9 million dollars in new real estate. Money shouldn't be an issue, though -- Aikman made more than $11 mil on the sale of his last home 2 years ago.

Cowboys Players Sued Our Son Almost Drowned And It's Your Fault
Three Dallas Cowboys stars are personally responsible for a boy nearly drowning at a football camp this summer -- at least according to the kid's parents who are now suing for at least a MILLION BUCKS.
The parents of 13-year-old James Jackson Jr. filed the suit against Miles Austin, Anthony Spencer, and Brandon Carr ... claiming it's their fault James nearly drowned during a football camp held at the University of North Texas, and bearing Spencer's name.
The boy reportedly sank to the bottom of a pool -- while there were roughly 125 other kids in the water -- and had to be pulled out, given CPR, and taken to a nearby hospital.
Now his parents are pointing the finger at the players and the company that organized the camp -- claiming it was their responsibility to hire better lifeguards, and make sure the pool was safe for swimmers.
The lawsuit doesn't specify the boy's injuries, but says he suffered mental anguish, disfigurement, and physical impairment.
We called Cowboys HQ for comment ... so far, no word back.

Harvey Levin Picks NFL Winner 'Football Is a Theatrical Sport'
It's that time of the year ... THE NFL IS BACK ... which means it's time for our resident sports expert Harvey Levin to start picking winners!!!!
First up, The New York Giants vs. the Dallas Cowboys!!!
And heeeeeeeeere we go!!
Evan: Who ya got ... New York or Dallas?
Harvey: Wait, the Giants or the Jets?
Evan: I already told you the Giants
Harvey: Oh right. Well, given that it's the Giants I'm definitely going with the Giants.
Evan: Why?
Harvey: Because I think Steve Tisch is awesome and I think the fact that he has 2 Super Bowl rings makes me as confident as Sully flying an airplane ... and I loved 'Forrest Gump.'
Evan: But Jerry Jones has 3 Super Bowl rings
Harvey: But he doesn't have an Oscar ... and that's gotta count for something.
Evan: In football?
Harvey: Sure. Football is a theatrical sport. Just watch what they do in the endzone.
Evan: Who's gonna have a better game ... Tony Romo or Eli Manning?
Harvey: I like 'em both ... but I gotta go with Eli because he's got such pressure now to do well because of what his brother did on Thursday. Not that he's gonna get 7 tds, but I could see 4.
Evan: What about Romo?
Harvey: He's good too.

Jerry Jones Cowboys Are Winning the Super Bowl ... Period.
There's confidence. There's overconfidence. Then there's Jerry Jones ... who made it clear, the Dallas Cowboys are WINNING the Super Bowl this year. Period.
The Cowboys owner was leaving Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills last night when he told us how it's gonna be in 2013 ... SB or bust.
The Cowboys haven't looked too shabby in their first two pre-season games -- with Dez Bryant looking especially beastly.
But do they have what it takes to go all the way this year? Or will Tony Romo find yet another way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory?
God, we love football.

Michael Crabtree I'm the 'Future of the NFL'
Michael Crabtree's ego has fully recovered from that huge blown call that cost him the Super Bowl -- because he now boldly predicts ... he is the FUTURE OF THE NFL!
The funniest part is ... we weren't even talking about him when he said it.
Here's the scene: the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver was leaving BOA Steakhouse with Dallas Cowboys stud receiver Dez Bryant last night -- and we asked the young stars about NFL rule changes intended to protect players from head injuries.
Neither guy replied ... so we moved on to another topic.
Now, let's play this like "Jeopardy."
Crabtree's answer is ... "You ever seen the future of the NFL? The 2 hottest receivers in the game?"
So, what is the question?
Hint: it has NOTHING to do with Crabtree's or Bryant's talents ... but it IS a hot topic in the NFL.

Dallas Cowboys Player Dies in Car Wreck Teammate Arrested
Jerry Brown, a linebacker on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad, died early this morning in a single-car accident -- and his teammate, Josh Brent, was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter.
According to police, Brent (see above) was driving at a high rate of speed at around 2:20 AM when his car "hit the outside curb," flipped over and came to rest in the middle of the road.
When cops came to the scene, Brent was dragging Brown away from the vehicle ... which had come to rest upside down and was on fire. Brown was unresponsive and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Officers at the scene suspected alcohol to be a factor, so they gave Brent a field sobriety test, which he failed. His blood was later drawn at the hospital to determine his blood alcohol level. Those results are not yet known.
Brent was arrested by Irving PD and booked on a second degree felony charge at 4:14 AM and is being held without bail.
Brent pled guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge while in college ... where he and Brown were teammates.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones released a statement today, saying, "We are deeply saddened by the news of this accident and the passing of Jerry Brown. At this time, our hearts and prayers and deepest sympathies are with the members of Jerry’s family and all of those who knew him and loved him."
The incident comes just one week after Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend and then himself.
Judge to Dez Bryant I'll Dismiss the Domestic Violence Charge, IF ...
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will be completely off the hook in his domestic violence case ... but only if he can manage to stay out of trouble for one full year.
As we previously reported, Bryant was arrested back in July for allegedly attacking his mother inside of her Texas home.
But according to Bryant's attorney -- who also happens to be a state senator -- the charge against Dez will be dismissed if the NFL star completes court-ordered counseling sessions and doesn't get charged with a crime for one entire year.
How 'bout dem Cowboys ... lawyers.

Troy Aikman's Ex I Wasn't Drunk I Was Lost
The ex-wife of Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman insists she did nothing wrong when she was arrested this week ... claiming she was just lost when cops found her in a high school parking lot.
As TMZ first reported, Rhonda Aikman was busted on Monday morning for public intoxication after cops found her in a parked car, saying she was slurring her words when she talked and had little control over her body movement.
Aikman's lawyer, Larry Friedman, tells TMZ that Rhonda was lost, the result of bad directions, and was simply waiting for a friend to come and show her the right way. Friedman says, "When the policemen approached her, she reacted the way any of us would have reacted if we were approached from behind by two large men dressed in black. Rhonda was frightened and probably did not appear to be her usual friendly self."
Friedman says Aikman is under a doctor's care and had a rightful prescription for the medication cops found. Friedman adds, "She did nothing wrong and did not break any laws. She is sorry about all the fuss and intends to continue to dedicate her time to helping people in need in North Texas."
