Katherine Jackson Won't Appear Against Nephew in Court
Katherine Jackson will be a no-show Tuesday in a case that has become a family war over control of Michael Jackson's estate.
Katherine has filed for a permanent restraining order against her nephew, Trent Jackson, who has been caring for her since Michael died in 2009. The matriarch filed a declaration saying she thinks Trent has stolen from her and committed elder abuse against her, something Trent has strongly denied.
Katherine is in London, where she's been for months. She has not been seen but some of her kids say she's scared to come back to the U.S. because she's afraid of Trent.
Trent says Katherine's being manipulated by Jermaine and some of her other kids, adding the kids made the stories up and Katherine may not have even signed the declaration.
Trent points to a crazy incident in 2012, where Jermaine and some of the other kids took her to Arizona. At the time Paris went nuclear, saying the her grandma had essentially been kidnapped.
The judge has indicated he may boot the case if Katherine doesn't show, so we'll know at 1:30 PM PDT Tuesday.
Stay tuned.

Carrie Fisher Gary The Dog Gets A New Forever Home But Not With Billie
Carrie Fisher's beloved French bulldog, Gary, was supposed to live with Billie Lourd after Carrie's passing, but it turns out that's NOT the case.
We've learned Carrie's assistant, Corby McCoin, took Gary almost immediately and is now the outright owner.
Days after the actress died in December, Carrie's family said Billie would get the dog for several reasons ... not the least of which was that Gary was best friends with Billie's bulldog, Tina.
As for why things changed, as everyone knows Gary was Carrie's constant companion, and Corby was a fixture in Carrie's life ... always around the dog. It ultimately made more sense for Gary to live with the person -- not the dog -- with whom he felt a connection.
We're told Corby's not cashing in by taking Gary ... she just feels taking Gary is the right thing to do.

UCLA Hoops Parents Divided on LaVar Ball
How did LaVar Ball's antics go over with the other parents of UCLA players? Some loved him. Some hated him.
We spoke with some parents of Bruins basketball players who were on the 2017 squad with Lonzo Ball ... and it's clear, LaVar was just as polarizing in the family section as he is with the general public.
One parent told us they were sick and tired of LaVar by the end of the season -- "I would never do what he’s doing. He’s making it about himself. It’s like he’s trying to take the spotlight from his sons."
The parent added, "Lonzo is a great player. He didn’t need his dad to say all these things to make headlines. He’s a good enough player to let his game do the talking."
The parent told us LaVar was like a running joke in the stands. Parents would roll their eyes with every crazy comment he made.
Another parent saw things a lot differently ... telling us, "Was LaVar a distraction? Absolutely not."
"Parents acting like [LaVar] and the way he went about it is nothing new. It's part of the dynamic of athletics."
One thing all the parents told us ... they LOVED Lonzo. Seriously, we haven't spoken with one person involved with the UCLA program who had one negative thing to say about the guy.

Katherine Jackson Tells Judge, Trent's So Bad I'm Hiding Out in London
Katherine Jackson -- or someone claiming to be Katherine Jackson -- has doubled down in the family war, claiming again Michael's cousin, Trent, has been stealing from and bullying the matriarch.
Katherine has been MIA for months after allegedly leveling claims Trent has pilfered $40k out of her bank account and manipulated her into buying him a Cadillac. She's also claimed elder abuse.
Trent has said it's all BS ... that Katherine isn't really driving this, but rather it's Jermaine and some of her other kids in order to get control of MJ's Estate.
In the new declaration -- obtained by TMZ -- Katherine says she's in London because she's scared to come home for fear Trent will now seek revenge on her. She says she's now filled with stress and anxiety, and she's now taking new meds to cope.
Katherine also says she's had meeting with social workers from Adult Protective Services and they will vouch for the authenticity of her claims.
The judge in the case is deciding whether he'll require Katherine's presence in court for the case against Trent to go forward.

Austin Rivers On LeBron's Kids: I Got Crap for Famous Dad Too ... Didn't Faze Me!
LaVar Ball could be right in his analysis of LeBron James' kids -- 'cause Austin Rivers says he's been "getting s**t" for being Doc Rivers' son since he was 6 ... but it never fazed him.
We got Austin leaving Catch in L.A. where he APPLAUDED James for clapping back at LaVar -- who recently said Bron's kids could get crap from other kids just because he has a famous father.
LeBron told LaVar to NEVER talk about his kids ever again.
But when we asked Rivers what it was like for him growing up with an NBA star for a dad ... this was his response:
"I've been getting that since I was 6 years old just for being the son of Doc. I've been getting s**t since I was a kid ... and it's never fazed me. I'm here now and I'm only getting started."
Translation -- Rivers says the haters only motivated him to be better ... and it sounds like they still do.
He then got into a $250k Mercedes G-Wagon and drove away.
