NY Knicks Charles Oakley Is LYING ... Dozens Witnessed 'Abusive Behavior'

Published | Updated

The NY Knicks say Charles Oakley is LYING THROUGH HIS TEETH -- claiming "dozens" of Knicks staff, security and NYPD cops witnessed his "abusive behavior" before he was kicked out of MSG.

The Knicks just issued a new statement in the wake of Oakley's media blitz in which he denied any and all wrongdoing in the Wednesday night incident. The Knicks are calling BS.

"There are dozens of security staff, employees and NYPD that witnessed Oakley's abusive behavior."

"It started when he entered the building and continued until he was arrested and left the building. Every single statement we have received is consistent in describing his actions."

"Everything [Oakley] said since the incident is pure fiction."

Charles Oakley's Ex-Teammate I Would've Fought With Him

Published | Updated

One of Charles Oakley's toughest ex-teammates says he 100% has Oak's back ... telling TMZ Sports had he been with Oakley in the Big Apple Wednesday night there would've been TWO former Knicks in jail.

We talked to Chris Childs ... who played with Oakley on the Knicks teams of the mid-'90s ... and he told us the situation is a disgrace, but he definitely sides with Charles' contention that he did nothing wrong.

"He's never once lied to me. Whatever way he says it happened, I have to believe him."

How committed to Oakley's is he? He told us had he been in the Garden with Oakley last night, he would have certainly had his back PHYSICALLY.

"It's the teammate in me. If I was there, I'd be in jail too."

Childs says he's reached out to Oakley and is waiting for a call back, but that the incident itself is just another example of how far the Knicks have fallen.

"We used to be known for Willis Reed running out of the tunnel, now it's about dragging Oak into it. Our franchise is so broken down, it's sad to see."

BTW -- If you're in an NBA foxhole, the guy you want with you is definitely Childs, just ask Kobe Bryant.

AA SCREWED ME BAD

Jason Derulo wants an American Airlines pilot fired ... for allegedly cussing him out and triggering an ugly mob scene on a flight.

We got Jason early Thursday morning at LAX, and he was still hot as fish grease over an incident in Miami. As we reported, Jason and his crew of 7 arrived too late to check their 19 bags, so they left one guy behind who tried checking them on a later flight. Just as Jason's plane left the gate, the guy they left behind called and said AA was charging them $6k for excess baggage.

Jason demanded to go back to the gate, and he tells us the pilot went on the intercom, blamed the delay on him and when the plane reached the gate he says the pilot screamed, "I want these motherf*****s off my plane right now!"

I BELIEVE IN THE SYSTEM

The Game's plea deal for punching a cop has a huge silver lining as far as he's concerned, and that's finally getting some time with a shrink.

Game tells us he was positive he'd be doing time for socking the off-duty officer -- so the 3 years probation and 26 anger management classes was a huge relief.

He's definitely got a glass half full mentality on the case, especially when he started talking about therapy, which he somehow managed to equate to getting braces.

Classic Game.

Rich Homie Quan's paying a big chunk of money to a security guard for allegedly socking him in the face and taking off in a speedboat ... even though he still denies the attack.

Quan settled the lawsuit for $60k on Tuesday. The bouncer's attorneys, Eric and Josh Hertz, tell TMZ ... "That's one expensive punch and hopefully it'll send a message -- to not just celebrities, but regular people -- you can't go around punching people."

As we previously reported ... the security guard at LIV nightclub in Miami claimed RHQ beat him senseless after he turned him away from a VIP entrance.

Despite settling the case, RHQ's laywer, Ricardo Corona, says they're confident they would have won at trial -- and cutting a $60,000 check was simply a business decision.

BEFORE THE PUNCH

Danielle says the other woman put her hands on her mom's throat, and that's why she had to "cold-cock" the impatient passenger.

After Danielle uncorked the punch, the woman made a citizen's arrest. A short time later police arrived and took all 3 off the plane. We're told no one wanted to press charges so there were no arrests, and everyone involved decided their lawyers would handle it from here.

Watch the video (below). You'll hear the woman who was punched lashing out at Danielle, calling her a "w***er." You also hear the woman spit toward Danielle and her mom.
