Street artist Retna claims his fight with Brittny Gastineau was mutual ... but TMZ has learned he's had other alleged incidents of violence ... with 3 restraining orders over 2 separate attacks.

As TMZ first reported, Gastineau claims her black eye is the remaining visible sign of a viscious attack in a West Hollywood hotel room 2 weeks ago. Retna's lawyer claims Gastineau started the whole thing and Retna was defenseless -- recovering from knee surgery.

But Retna was accused of 2 other violent confrontations in the past 2 years. In late 2012, he was charged with 3 counts of battery after allegedly going ballistic on the employees at an art gallery in L.A.

According to one of the victims, Retna punched two of the employees in the head (one of them he hit so hard it broke the pencil in his ear) ... then left the store ... only to come back later and hit a third.

The case never went to trial -- but Retna was ordered to stay away from the gallery.

Then in July of 2013, Retna allegedly harassed 2 other art gallery employees ... According to the restraining order, Retna ripped and destroyed paintings with knives and beer bottles.

One of the employees claimed Retna tried to strangle him and made crazy threats, including this: "Next time I see you I'm going to take your TONGUE out of your mouth n wrap it around your nexk and staple ur ass to the backboard n charge the kids in the neighborhood 25 cents. To throw rocks at ur some n stone u to death. Booyah."

The hotel room where Brittny Gastineau was brutally attacked by a famous street artist was a bloody mess the morning after the violence ... and TMZ has obtained pictures of the horrifying scene.

Blood was smeared on a bathroom door, on bed sheets, furniture and the floor. There was also broken glass, along with bottles of booze and beer scattered around the room.

As we previously reported -- Brittny says she was attacked by graffiti artist, Marquis Lewis. Lewis' attorney claims it was mutual combat during an argument ... and he was also injured.

Sources in the hotel tell us ... guests heard a lot of door slamming, cursing, and breaking glass. We're told the blood trail continued into the hallway and elevator.

The man who allegedly viciously attacked Brittny Gastineau was himself badly injured during their altercation ... and his lawyer tells TMZ it was a case of mutual combat.

Marquis Lewis -- a famous street artist who goes by the name Retna -- was dating Brittny. He had checked into the London Hotel in West Hollywood a week ago Monday to recuperate from major knee surgery -- surgery that had just been performed.

Retna's lawyer, Michael Goldstein, tells TMZ ... Brittny came to visit a week ago Tuesday night and they got into a major argument.

Goldstein says his client was almost defenseless from the physical attack because he was unable to walk without crutches. We're told there was lots of swinging, and in the end Retna was also seriously injured -- his face and eye were swollen, his painting hand was injured and his ear was cut up.

Goldstein says, "Retna was not the aggressor." That said, Goldstein tells TMZ his client harbors no ill will, calling Brittny "sweet." He says, "They're cool with each other."

Goldstein says Retna and Brittny are in the process of settling their differences and he's surprised Brittny made a spectacle last night at paparazzi-riddled restaurants.

It's bad enough The Game famously beat down 40 Glocc on video -- but now he's verbally slapping the guy around ... claiming 40 is only suing him to extend his 15 minutes of fame, and soak up Game's shine.

40 Glocc filed the lawsuit after Game humiliated him 2 years ago by beating the crap out of him, recording it, and posting it on YouTube. Now, Game says -- in new docs obtained by TMZ -- he was acting in self-defense during the fight and only started punching after 40 pulled a gun.

40 has claimed Game pulled a gun, though neither is seen with a firearm in the video.

In the docs, Game throws a few jabs -- for instance ... he has Grammy nominations and a TV show, and 40 does not. He also points out his 1.1 million Twitter followers compared to 40 Glocc's measly 53,000.

Best of all ... Game claims the whole lawsuit is part of Mr. Glocc's "gangster agenda to profit from threats, intimidation and taunts" -- said the guy who made 40 Glocc cower in fear during that infamous ass whoopin'.

Whatever happens in court -- the awesome video will live forever.

"Notorious" actor Jamal Woolard used both hands to choke his wife because he didn't like the way she was talking to their daughter ... according to the police report and 911 call obtained by TMZ.

We broke the story ... Woolard -- who played Biggie Smalls -- was arrested Saturday night by police in Snellville, GA after Woolard's stepson called 911 to report a family disturbance.

The 15-year-old boy told the 911 operator, "My stepdad, he hit my mom and he's acting crazy." At one point you can hear him yell at Woolard ... "You're going to jail!"

Woolard's wife, Alisha, told police her husband began screaming at her after she had scolded their daughter ... claiming he grabbed her by the throat, slammed her against the wall and told her, "Get the f*** off of my daughter."

According to police, the stepson said he heard his mom "making choking sounds" and confronted Woolard saying, "F*** you n****, I'm tired of you disrespecting my mom."

Police say when they arrived, they found broken furniture strewn about the house. Woolard told them he's very protective of his daughter because he loves her more than his wife.

The guy who played Notorious B.I.G. got busted this weekend for an alleged domestic violence incident in front of his stepson ... TMZ has learned.

Jamal Woolard was arrested Saturday night in Gwinnett County, GA after police responded to a call about a domestic dispute.

According to law enforcement sources ... Woolard's 15-year-old stepson made the call to cops ... and said, "Dad hit Mom." We're told Woolard's wife told the boy to make the call.

38-year-old Woolard -- who played Biggie Smalls in the 2009 biopic "Notorious" -- was booked for battery, cruelty to children, and simple assault.

Master P's youth basketball game got straight up WWE ... when a fight broke out on the court and someone in the crowd got HIT WITH A STEEL CHAIR ... and TMZ Sports has the insane footage.

Sean Kingston allegedly orchestrated the beating of a Hollywood club promoter in a dispute over his appearance fee ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, Kingston was contracted to host and perform at Avalon in Hollywood Wednesday night, alongside Carmen Electra and The Jazmin Sisters. We're told Kingston was to be paid $11,000 for the event, and received half up front.

But our sources say the promoter was upset Kingston didn't hype the gig enough on social media -- and showed up 3 hours late last night. We're told when he did arrive, he had his own security and 4-5 friends ... and immediately started harassing the promoter for the rest of his pay.

When the promoter refused, he tells TMZ Kingston ordered his boys to pin him against a wall ... allegedly jacking his watch, his iPhone and a few grand in cash.

Cops were called to the scene, but no arrests were made. Police confirm the victim told them Kingston orchestrated the attack over money.

Girrrrl ... the dollar store manager who got famous on the Internet for spraying Febreze in the face of an alleged shoplifter ... is now famously unemployed -- TMZ has learned the guy got fired.

The video is damn entertaining -- Gavyn Edlinger, the manager at Family Dollar in Saginaw, Mich. confronted a few alleged shoplifters (one of whom was pregnant) in the parking lot last week. It quickly turned into screaming, yelling, the Febreze spray and this classic line -- "Bitch, what I want you to do is do something. I will whoop yo' ass!"

Gavyn tells TMZ he was canned six days after the confrontation -- and it probably didn't help that it blew up on the web.

Edlinger called the incident an unfortunate scene and claims the mother of one of the girls in the video called the store to apologize. He says he tried to have the video taken down, but when the guy refused ... he decided to just own it.

Should look good on his resumé.

T.I. says the beef between him and Floyd Mayweather is over -- and if you think he's going to spill any details about what went down between them ... think again.

The rapper was out in NYC on Monday with a few friends when our photog hit him with a barrage of questions about his recent fight with Floyd ... but T.I. insisted things were all good now.

As for why he wouldn't spill any details about the actual fight, T.I. explained, "He may be used to talking after his fights ... where I'm from, we don't talk after ours."

Comedian Mike Epps allegedly took part in beating down a comic in Atlanta who reportedly cracked a few jokes mocking the Kevin Hart/Epps "feud" ... TMZ has learned.

Atlanta Police is investigating an alleged fight that went down Saturday night at the Uptown Comedy Corner. The alleged victim, Lavar Walker, told police someone told him that Epps was waiting outside the club to speak to him.

When Walker got outside, he told police he was struck in the face by Epps ... and then attacked by Epps and two other men. Walker was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment (see his injuries below).

A rep for the Atlanta PD tells TMZ ... thus far, no arrest warrants have been issued.

We reached out to a rep for Epps for comment ... so far, no word back.

11:00 AM PT -- Camille's lawyer tells TMZ, "We are delighted that he filed a lawsuit because we are already in the process of filing a civil lawsuit against him to pay for the damage he has caused. We look forward to court, where we will introduce forensic evidence clearly establishing his liability. It is surprising that someone who committed an assault would actually sue the victim."

Camille Grammer's ex-boyfriend thinks she should write reality TV -- because the "assault" she concocted and then accused him of last year was worthy of an episode of "Real Housewives."

Dimitri Charalambopoulos has filed a lawsuit against Camille, accusing her of bold-faced lying over a blowout fight they allegedly had last year.

You'll recall, Camille claimed Dimitri beat her to a pulp in a Houston hotel room and even ripped out her hair.

But according to Dimitri's lawsuit -- filed by his attorney, Guy Fisher -- there was no fight. He claims she baselessly accused him of cheating and he immediately left the hotel room ... at which point Camille faked the entire melee, smudging her make-up and even pulling hair from her hairbrush to scatter around the room.

And under the category "salt in the wound" ... Dimitri claims she made her bogus claims after he cared for her post cancer surgery, doing everything from helping her shower to "draining her catheter bag."

Sources tell us ... Dimitri thinks it's the most fantasy filled novelesque manner that the screenwriters for 'Housewives of Beverly Hills' would envy.

As we reported, the felony assault charges that followed were dismissed this week due to lack of evidence. Dimitri insists the damage is done ... his life has been devastated by Camille's lies.

The woman who caught a beating at the hands of Columbus Short's estranged wife now wants to press criminal charges ... TMZ has learned.

As TMZ first reported, Short's wife, Tanee McCall, went BALLISTIC and attacked Short's friend, Tilly Key, back in February when Key showed up at Short's house to help him move out. For some reason, Short recorded the whole thing.

Now law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Key showed up at the Lost Hills Sheriff Station Thursday and filed a battery report against McCall. We're told police will interview Columbus and Tanee.

We're told Key has been getting a lot of random phone calls lately and noticed lots of random accounts on Twitter have started following her. She panicked, and filed the police report.

Key even got into it with McCall this week online ... after McCall favorited a tweet of Key's, to which Key responded, "Stay away from me... I have 2 years to press charges. You already told me 'I'm gonna slit your throat, I'm gonna kill you, gonna break your neck' that's enough already."

The guy who attacked Brad Pitt on the red carpet last night violated a cardinal rule of fighting -- never hit a guy with glasses ... especially when he's surrounded by a team of security goons.

TMZ broke the story ... Ukrainian troublemaker Vitalii Sediuk lunged at Pitt at the "Maleficent" premiere ... hitting him in the face and breaking the designer sunglasses he was wearing. Sediuk was immediately subdued ... and hauled off to jail.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Brad wasn't hurt in the attack -- just stunned -- but a temporary emergency restraining order is now in place ... ordering Sediuk to stay at least 500 feet way from Pitt for the next 5 days.

We're told the case has been sent to the L.A. City Attorney for possible prosecution.

9:10 AM PT -- Danielle's attorney Patty Glaser is now responding, telling TMZ, "Mr. Patric's reprehensible physical abuse and anti-Semitic remarks date back as far as 2005. Unfortunately, victims of domestic violence ask themselves all the time why they maintained relationships with the abuser and when they realize what happened no longer tolerate it."

She adds, "The fact that the domestic violence restraining order was issued after a family court judge heard Ms. Schreiber's and Mr. Patric's testimony speaks for itself."

Jason Patric repeatedly called his baby mama "Jew c**t" and "Ms. Jew Lawyer" ... this according to the baby mama herself.

You probably know ... Jason has made a cause celeb out of the fact that a quirk in the law prohibited him from having a relationship with son -- Gus, now 4, was born via in vitro fertilization with the help of a doctor ... and under California law since Jason wasn't married to the mother he had no right.

Jason appealed for public sympathy and enlisted the help of a number of celebs. An appeals court has just given him a shot at winning some custody.

But baby mama Danielle Schreiber sees Jason as anything BUT sympathetic. In legal docs filed with the court and reviewed by TMZ ... she claims Jason was a monster, slamming her head into a wall and hitting her in the face with a telephone receiver.

And she says he was awful to her, regularly referring to her as ""Jew C**t" and "Ms. C**t Schreiber." She says Jason's anti-Semitism continued when he went to their son's preschool, and in front of everyone ... called her "Ms. Jew Lawyer" and "Ms. Jew Schreiber." She says he also accused her of being "c**tish" -- in front of everyone.

Schreiber got a restraining order in November, prohibiting him from contacting or harassing her.

For Patric's part, his lawyer, Fred Silberberg, calls the allegations "categorically untrue." He tells us, "These disclosures are a last gasp attempt at disparaging Gus’ father ... [They] are desperate comments from a desperate woman."

The lawyer adds, "If Ms. Schreiber is telling the truth, which she is not, then she should explain how it is that she chose to have a child with Mr. Patric, why she engaged in years of fertility treatments with him, lived with mr. Patric ... [and] maintained a relationship with [him] for over 10 years."

Brad Pitt was the target of a crazed man who jumped a barrier and made contact with the actor while he walked a red carpet..

Pitt was at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood for the premiere of wife Angelina Jolie's new Disney flick "Maleficent" ... when a man suddenly jumped the fence and ran up to the actor while he was walking down the red carpet.

We're told the man actually made contact with Pitt's face before being nabbed by cops. It's unclear what the man's intentions were.

Law enforcement sources tell us the man was arrested by LAPD and booked for misdemeanor battery.

9:45 PM PT -- The whacked out fan turned out to be the moron Ukranian reporter, Vitalii Sediuk, who also got slapped for trying to kiss Will Smith, was arrested after he crashed the Grammys, and once got a face full of Leonardo DiCaprio's crotch.
