Angelina Jolie put down thousands of dollars on the last typewriter Ernest Hemingway used before killing himself ... a $250,000 wedding gift for Brad Pitt ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected with the couple tell us ... Angelina's agent got in touch with L.A. Police Commission President Steve Soboroff, who has an unbelievable typewriter collection, including Hemingway's 1926 Underwood.

Get this ... Hemingway used the typewriter for his works in the late 1930s, and "For Whom the Bell Tolls" was published in 1940.

We're told Jolie initially wanted to buy his Tennessee Williams typewriter but he wouldn't sell it. So then the agent asked if Soboroff would sell one of the 2 Hemingway typewriters he owned ... they offered a quarter of a million bucks and it was an offer he couldn't refuse.

We're told this summer the agent sent a deposit check from Angelina's production company -- Chivan Productions -- for $11,000, but at some point she had a change of heart and cancelled the deal. She didn't even ask for the money back, but we're told the check was returned.

It ain't bad being Dez Bryant ... 'cause the Dallas Cowboys superstar just got a SWAGGED out luxury watch worth $61k ... and it was FREE!!

Here's what we know ... Bryant is now a brand-ambassador for Hublot -- and the CEO of the company is so pumped about their partnership, he met up with Dez in London to personally gift him with one of the sickest watches they make.

It's called the "Hublot Big Bang Unico King Gold Pave" -- made with 18 karat King gold (gold blended with platinum and copper) and encrusted with more than 300 DIAMONDS!!

The timing's fitting ... as we previously reported, Dez signed with Roc Nation Sports earlier this week ... and Hublot is super popular with celebs like Jay-Z.

An enormous family fight has erupted over 2 of the most iconic TV theme songs in HISTORY.

A dude named Earle Hagen wrote the opens for "The Andy Griffith Show" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show." It doesn't matter how old you are ... you know these songs.

Hagen died in 2008, but the royalties keep streaming in. The 2 songs have netted $390,402 since 2011 ... not bad for compositions from shows that aired in the early 60's.

Here's the rub. BMI has collected the money and is required to cut a check to the rightful survivor ... Hagen's widow -- his second wife of 3 years -- and kids are in a fight for the loot.

So BMI wants a judge to decide who should get paid.

Kurt Busch's ex girlfriend only delayed reporting an alleged domestic assault because she wanted to protect his image ... and desperately wanted him to get professional help for anger issues.

TMZ Sports spoke to a source very close to Patricia Driscoll ... who explained why Driscoll waited six weeks to go to police with allegations the NASCAR driver choked her after a September race in Dover, Delaware.

According to the source ... Driscoll claims Kurt frequently flew off the handle, and she told him she would NOT go to cops if he got anger management counseling. We're also told she knew filing a police report meant the incident would go public ...which she wanted to avoid for his sake.

We broke the story ... Busch denies attacking Patricia, and sources close to him say Driscoll's attorney contacted Kurt's lawyer to negotiate a financial settlement.

Our Driscoll sources say that's BS, because Patricia is independently wealthy and doesn't need cash from Kurt.

Amanda Bynes has a plan ... she wants to sling drinks.

Sources connected to Amanda tell TMZ ... she wants "a normal life," and she believes working in a bar would achieve that goal.

Amanda says she's well aware of the obvious impediment -- she attracts so much attention it would be hard to function as a bartender.

As for why Amanda is even thinking of getting a job ... she desperately needs money. She doesn't have access to her $5.7 million fortune because of her conservatorship, and only gets between $50 and $100 a day. As for what she wants to do with the money, aside from getting an apartment, she wants plastic surgery because she thinks she's ugly.

We know 2 people from The Canyon Treatment Center -- where Amanda went for rehab -- have reached out to her and offered her a place to stay.

Vince Neil and ex-NBA baller Chris Herren know far too much about drug and and alcohol addiction, but found a way to put their experiences to good use ... for a NJ rehab center.

Sources tell us the Mötley Crüe front man and Herren were instrumental in raising more than $100K for Turning Point ... a drug and alcohol rehab facility that hosted a big charity gala last month.

Herren -- who documented his battle with drugs in his book "Basketball Junkie" -- was guest of honor at the gala ... and talked about how he overcame addiction.

We're told Neil helped raise cash by donating a pair of floor seats and backstage passes for the Crüe's final concert in NYC ... which were auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Vince didn't perform at the gala, but he did introduce the band Going Dark and some up and coming local rockers.

We're also told the parents have made arrangements to transfer power over financial matters to another person ... presumably a money manager.

The parents are leaving California and will move to Texas to be closer to their older daughter.

Both parents are saying they know they've struck out with Amanda and don't have what it takes to effectively control her. They're hoping once someone else controls Amanda's finances, she'll stop lashing out at them and they can have a relationship ... even though it will be long distance.

Yung Berg flew into a drunken rage that ended with his GF allegedly getting choked ... all because his credit card was declined.

According to sources close to Yung's GF, Masika Tucker ... after a booze-filled night at the "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" reunion show in NYC, Berg went to pay his bill, but the card was over the limit.

Yung stormed out, went to his hotel and Masika followed. She told him she paid the bill and schooled him for leaving her ... and he reacted by grabbing her by the neck, throwing her on the bed and pulling her out of the room by her hair.

Yung then allegedly continued his assault by choking her out.

TMZ broke the story ... Yung was arrested for "obstruction of breathing."

Masika is already jumping to Yung's defense, saying it's totally out of character for him ... and she blames it all on alcohol.

Warren Sapp was test driving a $300K Rolls-Royce Wraith this morning ... but don't worry, the ex-bankrupt, ex-NFL star did NOT drive it off the lot.

Beyonce's kisses have gotten her sued.

A background singer named Ahmad Javon Lane claims he wrote a song called "XOXO" and shared it with another singer who does background vocals for Beyonce.

It's a short story. He says in his lawsuit the song ended up in Beyonce's hands and she ripped him off with what he says is a copycat song, "XO."

He wants at least $3 million.

Gotta say ... we don't hear it, but you decide.

Jay Z, Kanye West and Frank Ocean shamelessly stole a song from a guy who was peddling his CDs outside their hotel ... so the street peddler claims in a new, somewhat bizarre federal lawsuit.

Joel Mac says he was outside the Mercer Hotel in SoHo a few years back ... at the same time the famous trio was recording Jay Z's "Watch the Throne" album. Jay, Kanye and Frank had rented a bunch of rooms in the hotel and actually recorded part of the album there.

So Mac says in a new federal lawsuit -- obtained by TMZ -- a guy named Mike Dean bought one of his CDs in front of the hotel, and the next thing he knew his song -- Made in America -- was cut 11 on the album. Jay Z's song is also called Made in America, and gotta say ... they sound similar.

And the plot thickens ... Mike Dean is one of the producers of the album.

Mac had filed a similar case in New York State court a few months ago, but now he's gone federal.

Mac wants Jay, Kanye and Frank to pay him a cut of the profits.

Amanda Bynes is a vagabond ... crashing wherever she can, and she's pleading with her parents to dole out enough money so she can get a place of her own.

Amanda is living off of gift cards courtesy of her parents -- between $50 and $100 a day. She clearly can't put down first and last month's rent for a place to live, and as a result she's calling on friends and former associates for help.

Amanda has been staying with 3 girls in a West Hollywood apartment for the last few days ... one of whom is her hair stylist. But that's not a long-term solution for her.

Amanda's parents hold the key, but our sources say they are "burned out" and don't have the energy for Amanda to move back in. Although her parents understand Amanda's anger -- after they tricked her into getting involuntarily committed at a psych hospital -- they are hurt by Amanda's public displays of anger toward them.

Amanda seems to realize she needs her parents on her side, so she's been deleting some of the inflammatory tweets, hoping to open the bank vault.

Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora are huge stars, but based on a new Vegas offer they're not getting their due respect.

The "Black Widow" singers have been courted to perform 2 shows at Planet Hollywood ... for $200K per show, and that's for both.

Taking home $100K apiece doesn't sound bad for a night's work, but compared to what Britney and Celine Dion pull in -- around $475K each -- it's chump change.

Amanda Bynes is paying her bills off of American Express gift cards ... courtesy of her parents ... TMZ has learned.

Since Amanda's release from a psych hospital last week ... she's been roaming West Hollywood, eating out and going to hotels.

Our sources say Amanda's parents are giving her gift cards -- usually in the amount of $50. We're told on some days her parents will give her up to $100 if she needs the cash.

Amanda has no access to her money ... her parents have control under their temporary conservatorship. The money they're giving her is for living expenses.

The parents deliver the money to Amanda's court-appointed lawyer, who gives her the cards.
