Maria made the announcement on Twitter moments ago, claiming her son was "going to be fine."

As we previously reported, Chris spent days in the ICU following the accident in Malibu -- where he was treated for multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung.

No word on what caused the reaction -- but he didn't seem too worried about the situation as he casually strolled out of the hospital soon after with his girlfriend Diane Kruger by his side.

Maria told the operator, "He can't move off the beach ... maybe like a broken ribs or something like that."

She explained, "It's my son ... he's awake and breathing .... he just can't move. He's having trouble breathing."

Christopher suffered multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung as a result of the accident in Malibu. We're told Christopher's condition has now been upgraded and he will be OK .

We're told Maria has constantly been at Chris' side. And Arnold has been a regular visitor as well. We're told in spite of the divorce, the entire family has come together as a unit in dealing with Christopher's accident.

Maria has had an incredibly tough year ... and an extremely rough week.

UPDATE: Arnold just stopped by the hospital to check up on Christopher ... with his daughter Christina in tow. Maria arrived on her own soon after.

Sarah Schnare claims last April she was standing next to a car driven by Sam Magid -- a guy who invests in projects involving comic books that are turned into movies. According to the lawsuit, Sarah was standing at the passenger window of Sam's Mercedes jeep when the vehicle moved, knocking her to the ground.

But it gets worse. Sarah claims when she was on the ground, the jeep ran over her right foot, breaking 6 bones.

Sarah tells TMZ ... she hasn't been able to work on Ryan's radio show since April. Her employer is not Ryan, it's Clear Channel, and the company put her on unpaid leave.

Sarah -- who worked on "Larry King Live" before moving on to Ryan -- says Sam's insurance company refuses to front her any money for the multiple surgeries, lost wages and other expenses she's had to incur as a result of the injuries.

There was a buzz on the Internet Lee was taken ill, but Lee just told Harvey it's all B.S. He's all over the convention.

According to the AP, several people tried to drive the animal back towards a nearby wildlife sanctuary ... but the leopard turned aggressive and pounced on some of the men.

Villagers reportedly used knives, stones and batons to strike the animal -- and eventually shot it with a tranquilizer gun.

64-year-old Ryan -- who currently serves as President of the Texas Rangers -- was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning, after experiencing discomfort in his chest.

The Texas Rangers released a statement -- saying the pitching great will undergo tests today for a "recurrence of the heart condition which he has previously experienced."

Emergency vehicles rushed to the scene at the Ottawa Bluesfest -- where one man was reportedly treated for life-threatening injuries. Local news outlets are saying part of the stage broke off and pierced the man's stomach.

As for Cheap Trick, the band had been playing for roughly 20 minutes when the winds came blowing in HARD ... and the band decided to leave the stage ... just in the nick of time.

Moments later, the stage came crashing down ... the band says all of the members escaped unharmed.

According to our sources, Lamar was being driven by a car service yesterday in Queens when the car struck a motorcyclist and a 15-year-old boy. Lamar was not injured -- but we're told he was particularly upset by the accident (and even crying afterward) since he was already in town for his cousin's funeral.

We were originally told Khloe was in the car with Lamar, but that was not the case. According to our sources, Khloe is in NYC with Lamar but was not with him at the time.

According to MediaTakeOut.com, which first reported the story, the motorcyclist and the 15-year-old boy were both seriously injured.

Filming had finished for the night when the car -- a production vehicle being driven by a producer for the show -- struck a 61-year-old man. A police spokeswoman told the Vancouver Sun the man was taken to a nearby hospital, but died a short time later.

Andrew Burnstein -- President of Castlewood Productions, which produces the show -- tells TMZ, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his friends and hisfamily. My heart also goes out to the driver of the vehicle, a member ofour technical staff, who is shaken and devastated by this tragicaccident, as is our entire team."

It all went down Thursday morning on the College of the Canyons campus in north L.A. -- several stuntmen were supposed to rappel from a hovering helicopter ... but one man lost control of his harness, and SLAMMED into the ground.

Sources connected with production tell TMZ, paramedics rushed to the scene and treated the stuntman for a broken ankle ... before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

The commercial features NBA stars Amar'e Stoudemire, Blake Griffin, Rajon Rondo, and Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. The men on the helicopter are the athletes' stunt doubles ... and the guy who was injured was standing in for Stoudemire.

Lange dropped the Dan Patrick Show a line this morning, claiming, "Howard called me a bunch of times when i was going through the hardest parts of my ordeal ... he called me when I was in the psych ward once."

As we previously reported, Lange disappeared from the Stern show in January 2010 to deal with a private medical condition.

Lange claims he'd do anything to get back on the Stern show -- telling DP, "I would vacuum the studio. I would do anything they wanted ... I would do it in a heartbeat."

Ricky tells us ... his foot had been killing him non-stop since the fight outside Playhouse on June 26th -- but he didn't get it checked out until last week ... when the swelling got severe.

Ricky says doctors informed him he had broken one of the bones in the middle of his foot -- known as metatarsal bones -- and gave him crutches to hobble around on.

Ricky says he's thinking about suing the bouncer.

TMZ broke the story ... Nicki and Samuels were arguing at a hotel pool in Dallas Monday night and took it upstairs to the room.

According to the police report, Nicki followed Samuels up to the room they were sharing, to make sure he didn't take any of her stuff. Nicki was in the room looking into her suitcase, which had some of Samuels' belongings, when she says he "grabbed the suitcase and as he was picking it up, he shoved the suitcase across [Nicki's] chin and lower lip."

The police report goes on: "[Nicki's] teeth struck the inside of her lower lip, causing the inside of the lower lip to cut and start to bleed."

TMZ has learned ... Minaj was hanging out at the pool at the fancy Palomar Hotel when she got into a very intense verbal spat with an unidentified man she was staying with.

Nicki told a hotel employee to call police ... while the man went to their hotel room. Nicki followed soon after.

When cops and paramedics arrived, Nicki told authorities their poolside fight continued inside of their room ... and the man hit her in her lower lip.

The man had already left the scene when cops arrived ... but Nicki insisted she did NOT want to press charges. Nicki also claimed she was NOT in a relationship with the alleged attacker.

Cops tell us an incident report was taken ... but no charges will be filed per Nicki's request.
