If you've ever made fun of Bono for wearing sunglasses inside, prepare to feel like an ass -- because the singer just revealed the only reason he's been doing it for 2 decades is because he has glaucoma.

During a recent taping of the "Graham Norton Show" Bono said he's been suffering from the condition for 20 years ... and finally felt it was time to come out with his eye condition.

Bono said he's been getting treatments and will be fine, adding ... "You're not going to get this out of your head now and you will be saying, 'Ah, poor old blind Bono.'"

Still no excuse for putting U2's new album on the cloud though.

Boxing legend Leon Spinks was taken down after going a few round with some chicken wings ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We broke the story ... Spinks is currently hospitalized in Nevada -- and now, we've learned Leon's medical problems can all be traced back to a chicken wing meal gone bad.

Leon's attorney tells us Spinks is known to his friends as the "Chicken Wing King" -- and during a recent meal, accidentally swallowed a bone ... which got stuck in his intestine.

Spinks has undergone two surgical procedures so far -- with a 3rd scheduled for later today. We're told Leon is conscious and on the mend.

We're also told ... Leon's current wife Brenda is adamant she has power of attorney over Leon -- despite a claim to the contrary by Leon's ex-wife Betty.

As we previously reported, Betty says Leon empowered her to call the shots regarding his health after they divorced back in 2004.

But Leon's attorney tells us, "Brenda and Leon have a power of attorney agreement. Betty's power of attorney was expressly revoked by Leon."

Pretty cool moment from Ellen DeGeneres -- when she hooked up Cincinnati Bengals player Devon Still with a $10,000 DONATION to help his 4-year-old daughter in her fight against cancer.

Still's story has captivated the nation -- his daughter Leah was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma stage 4 cancer in June, and doctors have told her father she has about a 50% chance of survival. Still says she's fighting like hell.

The Bengals announced proceeds of his #75 jersey sales would be used to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer research ... and so far, more than $1 million has been raised.

But Ellen wasn't just wearing his jersey when Still appeared on her show Friday -- she also hooked the NFL player up with a $10k donation to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia ... where his daughter Leah is being treated.

There's more ... Ellen also said she'll be getting celebs to sign her jersey which she plans to auction off to raise even more money for Leah's fight.

Two strippers won't be hitting up the champagne room for the next 21 days because they're in Ebola quarantine ... but once they get out, would you still let them rub their junk on your lap?

Texas flop jockeys Axl Goode and Taylor Cole say they sat 3-feet from Ebola patient, nurse Amber Vinson -- during a flight from Cleveland to Dallas on Monday -- so they called the CDC.

The buffed out strippers were on hold for 81 minutes before they finally got an official on the line. After that, they were placed on a 21 day voluntary quarantine.

Someone did something wrong in the medical procedure that led to Joan Rivers' death ... this according to one source involved in the investigation.

The Medical Examiner has said the death was the result of a therapeutic, predictable complication. Sources tell us ... the complication did NOT involve the Propofol administered to Joan. The complication was the result of the procedure itself.

The source connected to the investigation tells TMZ ... the procedure was actually completed when Joan suffered brain damage from a lack of oxygen.

Our source says there were no "underlying causes or contributing factors" involving Joan's health, and it appears someone was at fault. There's still an investigation and a big issue is whether her oxygen levels were being properly monitored.

We're told people in Joan's life have keyed in on the word "predictable" ... they think it could be a focal point in a possible malpractice action because predictable could also mean preventable.

War Machine tried to kill himself in his Las Vegas jail cell this week ... but his attempt was foiled by a corrections officer.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Tuesday night around 9:30 an officer was walking by War Machine's cell in Clark County Jail. The officer saw him sitting on the ground with his feet up on the bunk bed. When the officer called to him he was unresponsive.

The officer went into the cell and found the ex-MMA fighter had a piece of linen around his neck which was tied to the leg of the bed -- and his face was purple. The officer cut the linen, removed it ... and we're told War Machine's breathing became less strained and he attempted to speak.

He's currently in a medical isolation cell on suicide watch. We're told officers found what appeared to be suicide notes in the cell.

War Machine is in jail awaiting trial for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, porn star Christy Mack, and her friend Corey Thomas.

War Machine's attorney tells us one of the letters found in the cell was written to Christy.

The star of VH1's "Real Chance of Love" has suffered a major setback in his battle with cancer -- it's spreading and doctors put him back on chemotherapy.

Real's cancer has worsened in his liver and lungs ... according to his brother, Chance, who also tells us Real just had surgery to implant a port that will administer the chemo.

Chance says because the tumors in Real's lungs have grown ... doctors have cut him off from smoking medical marijuana for pain management.

As we reported ... Real's health had been improving. But his bro tells us all the recent bad news hasn't dampened Real's positive outlook. He even posted an update on Instagram after his latest surgery.

Muhammad Ali is sick ... but he's alive ... so says the Champ's daughter Laila Ali.

"He's good," Laila said at LAX on Thursday ... "Rumors about [his health] every year come out."

The latest rumors were spawned from an interview Muhammad's brother gave at a screening of "I Am Ali" last week -- where he reportedly said the 72-year-old icon is in bad shape and housebound.

But Laila says there has NOT been a drastic change in her father's condition recently -- explaining, "He is sick, but he's alive."

FYI -- Muhammad was diagnosed with Parkinson's syndrome in 1984 and his health has been in a steady decline ever since.

As we previously reported, Ali hung out with boxing champ Andre Berto back in April -- and Berto told us he was alert, intelligent and rooting for Kentucky to win the NCAA tourney.

Joan Rivers died because she went into hypoxic arrest during her throat procedure ... cutting off oxygen to her brain -- but the medical examiner is calling it a "predictable complication."

The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner released its findings today, revealing that Joan was sedated with Propofol during the procedure.

The investigation also revealed Joan had the procedure to evaluate changes in her voice and to deal with acid reflux.

Joan suffered brain damage due to lack of oxygen.

As for the "predictable complication" ... it appears the Examiner is saying her cause of death is simply a risk associated with either anesthesia, the procedure, or both.

NBC Medical Correspondent Nancy Snyderman caused a maid to get fired ... and it's all because Nancy violated her Ebola quarantine by taking a drive to a local restaurant.

Turns out the chef at The Peasant Grill near Princeton, NJ -- where Nancy went last week to grab some grub -- is the brother of Vilma (she asked us not to use her last name), who works as a maid in town.

After TMZ and other media reported Nancy's breach ... people in the town panicked. They were concerned because Nancy and her crew were all in contact with a cameraman who contracted Ebola, and one of the guys in the quarantined crew went inside the restaurant to pick up food.

We've learned 2 homeowners who had been using Vilma for years freaked out because they feared her brother might have exposed her to the virus. So the 2 homeowners told Vilma she could no longer work with them ... until further notice.

Local health officials say they investigated and there is no risk anyone who was in the restaurant would contract Ebola. But clearly not everyone believes them.

Snyderman has never accepted personal responsibility, blaming the crew for the quarantine violation, even though she was right there in her Mercedes at the restaurant...

A New York businessman is one of the first people to capitalize on the Ebola scare ... and he's making a fortune.

Todd Spinelli tells TMZ ... he developed a dietary supplement in the form of a wafer. He says the supplement prevents healthy cells from breaking down, which keeps them in the body longer than normal. Spinelli claims as a result ... the wafer can help boost the immune system to protect it from contracting diseases, including Ebola.

Spinelli says he trademarked the product -- called Ebola-C -- and went to market on October 1. It is NOT FDA approved, but he says there is a doctor on staff who gives it the A-Okay.

Spinelli claims he's selling up to 14,000 a day at $34.95.

As for what's in Ebola-C ... the C should give it away, because each serving delivers 554% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C.

It is unclear to us if there's any similarity to Flintstones Chewables.

Leon Spinks' ex-wife says the boxer gave her FULL CONTROL over his medical decisions after they divorced in 2004 -- and if his condition deteriorates she should be the one to call the shots ... not his current wife.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... 61-year-old Spinks is hospitalized in Nevada following complications from a recent surgical procedure. Leon's current wife Brenda says he's on the road to recovery.

But Leon's ex Betty -- who was married to Spinks for 16 years -- says Leon hammered out an agreement in their divorce stating that SHE has been empowered to make decisions on his behalf should be become unable to do so himself.

"I have power of attorney and guardianship," Betty says. "Leon's care should be my decision."

Leon married his current wife in 2011 -- but Betty says that doesn't matter when it comes to Power of Attorney ... she still believes she's legally entitled to be in control.

We looked into Nevada law ... which says that Betty's P.O.A. can be revoked IF Leon entered a new agreement with his new wife.

Just legally marrying someone does NOT automatically vest that person with P.O.A. ... so Leon would have had to have entered a brand new agreement with Brenda.

We reached out to Brenda to find out if such an agreement exits -- but so far, haven't heard back.

Keyshia Cole knows how to brawl -- punching, scratching and pulling hair like a champ -- according to the woman who claims Cole attacked her last month during a jealous rage.

Sabrina Mercadel filed court docs accusing Cole of punching her in the face, slashing her with fingernails and throwing objects at her. Mercadel says her neck and back were hurt -- and her finger was so badly damaged ... it might be useless for good.

TMZ broke the story ... sources say Cole went nuclear when she found Mercadel at an early morning party in the penthouse of Cash Money CEO Birdman -- Cole's rumored bf at the time. For her part, Mercadel says in the docs she was just "visiting a friend." Sources at the party tell us there was no banging going down.

NBC's leading Ebola reporter Dr. Nancy Snyderman blamed her crew more than herself for violating a quarantine after they were potentially exposed to the virus. Yeah, she kinda threw 'em under the bus.

But her co-worker Matt Lauer was willing to call it like it is -- and Nance ... ya done messed up!

Dogs and cats are NOT capable of contracting Ebola ... and are NOT screened on flights to the U.S. from Africa because there's no evidence they can develop the disease ... TMZ has learned.

According to the Centers for Disease Control ... there is NO evidence dogs and cats can either develop or transmit Ebola ... therefore, there's no reason for airlines to either screen or quarantine them.

Several airlines tell us ... they don't control screening. It's determined by the CDC and various health departments.

Bentley, the dog owned by the Dallas nurse who contracted Ebola, has been quarantined by Dallas Animal Services ... and that set off a panic. Based on what we're told, the pooch is not at risk.
