Buff Art Buffs

Published | Updated

The most buff couple in Hollywood hit Julian's art gallery at La Cienega and 3rd Street for the opening of a new photography exhibit. They were so focused on the work adorning the walls that they forgot their primary task - making sure the paparazzi don't photograph them.

When the super-couple finally noticed the photogs outside they moved away into another part of the gallery.

Less shy were father and son James and Scott Caan, who both seemed to enjoy examining the art.

Not surprisingly, the most willing to be photographed celeb was Kim Stewart, who appeared to spend more time hanging out by the big front window than checking out the rest of the exhibit.

Depp and Bloom - Back in the Water

Published | Updated

After cleaning up at the Teen Choice Awards, Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates headed back to the Black Pearl after a summer hiatus from filming "Pirates of the Caribbean 3."

The cast of next year's sure-to-be box office hit are now back on the ship off the coast of Palos Verdes, Calif.

After filming wrapped for the day on Tuesday evening, Orlando Bloom made a quick escape by jumping in his car and heading out. While Johnny Depp, on the other hand, found time to say hi and take pictures with the dozens of fans waiting to see the actor through a chain link fence that borders the set.

It's pretty clear why Depp walked away with the two Choice Movie Actor awards on Sunday night in both the comedy and drama/action categories. On- and off the screen- Johnny seems to be everyone's favorite movie star.

Celebs Descend Onto Sunset Blvd.

Published | Updated

TMZ's cameras and our own Josh Levine were putting in overtime yesterday as they were all over the place catching all the action going down in Tinseltown.

Our first stop was the ever-so-popular lunch spot The Ivy, where we ran into a couple of A-list women. Melanie Griffith and Sharon Stone were spotted exiting the trendy joint, but not before stopping for what seemed to be an awkward moment, you be the judge. The two paparazzi veterans seem to know what they're doing when it comes to cameras pointed in their direction.

Lance Bass' First Gay Date

Published | Updated

Newly out and proud former *NSYNC singer Lance Bass revealed to Us Weekly that he recently enjoyed his first real date with his boyfriend Reichen Lehmkuhl. "He took me out to a really nice dinner the other night at the Hotel Bel-Air," said Bass.

On Saturday, Lance and Reichen enjoyed another date, albeit a less romantic one, at the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge in the Hamptons. And Reichen had nothing but nice things to say about Bass. Reichen gushed "I have the most beautiful boyfriend in the world."

Reichen, a former captain in the Air Force and winner of CBS' "Amazing Race," also has a new book coming out entitled "Here's What We'll Say," which deals with his experiences as a gay man in the U.S. military.

Now that the not-so-ambiguously-gay duo has gone public with their relationship, they can look forward to many more romantic nights on the town. And fret not because here at TMZ we will ask and we will tell!

You Are Now Flying Air Lachey

Published | Updated

Turns out we're all the same when we hit the airport. Super-hot celeb couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo flew out of LAX and were faced with the same extensive security screening as the rest of us.

The pair waited in that annoying metal detector line -- Vanessa had to take off her shoes. Still, Vanessa had more smiles than we usually do at the airport. Maybe flying around with Nick by your side is enough to cheer a girl up.

It didn't look like either of them were pulled aside for extra attention from the security staff, even though Nick was looking pretty tough in bad-ass sunglasses and camo pants.

They must have known Nick was no threat. The most dangerous liquids that sensitive man carries these days are his tears.

Boyz ON the Hood

Nicole Richie's friends have devised some creative ways to shield her from photographers. Sunday night, one pal leaped onto the hood of her black SUV and used his arms and legs to block the windshield.

He didn't do such a hot job, since we could clearly see Nicole laughing inside. But it was all in good fun -- Richie even snapped a photo of her view from the driver's seat.

Lohan Saves a Jackass

Published | Updated

It was Lindsay Lohan to the rescue last night, after "Jackass" star Steve-O was told he was a persona non grata at popular Hollywood hangout Hyde. When bouncers refused to admit the daredevil past the exclusive velvet rope, Steve-O did what any huge star would do. He name dropped, saying "I'm supposed to meet Lindsay Lohan here!" Apparently, the bouncers weren't amused.

After management instructed him to hit the road, Steve-O began texting Lohan, begging for her to help with the situation.

Before the club drama even began, Steve-O gave a staunch defense of Lohan for TMZ's cameras, blasting Paris Hilton and Brandon Davis for their infamous anti-Lindsay rant.

"You know what's disgusting to me is that f*&%-ing billionaire brat, because how much money has he ever made on his own... zero!"

Lohan eventually arrived, entourage in tow, where she only had to whisper a few words to management before pulling Steve-O into the club.
