GRAB 'EM BY THE ...

Sharon Osbourne's got a borderline inappropriate suggestion for President Trump's border wall that, if implemented, would probably entice more people to climb over -- on BOTH sides!

We got Sharon leaving Craig's Tuesday night in WeHo and wanted to get her take on Trump's wall-shopping trip outside San Diego. As we reported, the Prez checked out some wall, and at a news conference he called Mexicans "incredible climbers." Classic 45, right?

Sharon at first scoffed at the question, but then dug into it ... and wanted to know if Trump was adding a, shall we say, special touch to wall models he perused. She was joking, but something tells us POTUS would give her idea some thought.

Later, Sharon was leaving Delilah when she REALLY went for Trump's jugular.

Jose Altuve I Didn't Mad Dog Trump!!! ... 'I Was Just Listening'

Published | Updated

Jose Altuve INSISTS he wasn't angrily staring through Donald Trump's soul at the White House on Monday -- he just has resting angry face.

The photo of Altuve went viral ... showing the Houston Astros star with the ultimate mean mug while standing behind Trump during the ceremony to honor the World Series champs.

But on Tuesday, Altuve spoke with reporters and insisted he was NOT trying to disrespect the President.

"The president was talking ... what do you want me to do?" Altuve said.

"I was just standing there listening. It was an honor to be there. If I didn't want to go, I just wouldn't go."

"I'm behind the president ... probably one of the most important guys in the world. I can't be laughing or doing stupid things while he's talking. I need to listen."

Donald Trump Justin Verlander's My Golf Bro!!

Published | Updated

Who needs Tom Brady ... when you got Justin Verlander!!

Donald Trump just gushed about his friendship with a World Series champ during the Houston Astros visit to the White House ... while also dropping some humble brags about himself (duh).

"So, I know Justin. Justin's a friend of mine," Trump said while noting they play golf together.

"I'm a pretty long hitter," Trump bragged ... "[but] this guy, he is a monster!"

"And he said he's a -2 or a -3 handicap, but believe me, he's much better than that. He's about a +2 or +3. but we love playing and it was really great."

Trump also had some words for Jose Altuve ("you're taller than I thought!") and World Series MVP George Springer before reminding everyone he also played in high school!

He also assured the team the country's doing "fantastically well" under his leadership.

Note: Two players who weren't at the ceremony ... Carlos Correa and Carlos Beltran -- both of whom are from Puerto Rico.

Houston Astros Visiting Trump's White House ... After Warriors' Snub

THE ASTROS HAVE LANDED

Justin Verlander and his Houston Astros teammates arrived in D.C. to visit President Trump at the White House ... just weeks after Trump and the Golden State Warriors turned each other down.

TMZ Sports just spotted Jose Altuve, Dallas Keuchel and World Series MVP George Springer -- along with a bunch of other players -- walking up to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave ... with the trophy being carried in right behind!

Visiting the White House has become a polarizing issue with pro athletes. Tom Brady skipped the White House last year after a falling out with President Trump.

Just a few weeks ago, several members of the Philadelphia Eagles -- including Chris Long and Malcolm Jenkins -- said they would NOT visit the White House to celebrate the Super Bowl because they don't agree with Trump's politics.

Of course, the Warriors spoke out strongly against Trump and decided as a team to boycott Trump's White House. Trump rescinded their invite as well.

As for the Astros ... they're clearly down for the ceremony.

Ex-Trump Campaign Adviser They Didn't Lock Up Hillary They Ain't Gonna Lock Me Up

Published | Updated

Ex-Trump campaign adviser Sam Nunberg isn't the least bit worried about getting locked up because Hillary Clinton's still free after her email scandal.

We got Nunberg out in NYC Monday night after his banner day of TV meltdowns -- calling the Prez an "idiot," calling his press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a "fat slob" ... and insisting he'll ignore Robert Mueller's grand jury subpoena in the Russia investigation.

Nunberg told us he's not worried about getting locked up, and compared his situation to Hillary's. He also had prison predictions for Gen. Michael Flynn and Jared Kushner -- and dropped some intel about Vladimir Putin's relationship with Trump ... according to him, anyway.

We'll say this ... Nunberg clearly LOVES to talk! And, for what it's worth, he eventually backed down and told AP he will cooperate with Mueller.

Trump's C.O.S. John Kelly God Punished Me with WH Gig

Published | Updated

John Kelly says he's being punished by God ... and that's why he's working as Donald Trump's Chief of Staff.

Gen. Kelly made the joke Thursday at a Homeland Security event, where he was addressing his former colleagues at the department -- which he used to run. He says he must've done something wrong ... and the man upstairs took notice.

He also told his old crew he missed them ... the implication ... working for 45 ain't no walk in the park.

Ya gotta wonder if DT's gonna be pissed over this -- even if Kelly was clearly saying it in jest. Probably ... most definitely.

John Salley to Trump: Don't Arm Teachers ... Give Your Gun $$$ to Schools

KEEP GUNS OFF THE COURT

The only thing Donald Trump should be giving teachers is more school supplies -- so says John Salley, who tells TMZ Sports he ain't down with POTUS' idea to have educators packin' heat in the classroom.

We got Salley at an event at NeueHouse in Hollywood ... and the 4-time NBA champ told us only people trained to protect should carry guns, and no one else.

As for Trump's classroom cop proposition -- "I think teachers should carry books and pencils and pads. You know what, they've been lacking those."

FYI, the Education Market Association says teachers spend hundreds, if not THOUSANDS, of their own money on school supplies every year ... so Spider ain't wrong.

Donald Trump Nobel Peace Prize Nom ... Possibly Fake News!!!

Published | Updated

Donald Trump's been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, the second consecutive year that's happened, but there's a problem -- his nominator might not be on the up and up.

The Prez reportedly got the nom from an anonymous American for his "ideology of peace by force" -- which sounds like an oxymoron -- but Nobel peeps were suspicious. Institute Director Olav Njolstad filed a police report because he thinks there's good reason to believe Trump's nomination is "a fake." He added, that's probably how the Prez got nominated last year, too.

Here's the issue -- the process for nominating Peace Prize candidates is highly restricted and limited to government officials, former laureates and some professors.

Njolstad's concern seems to be that Trump's nom was entered by someone without proper cred ... hence the call for cops to track down the source.

Sounds like 45 is a serious long shot to win.

Dan Rather Trump's School Shooting Bravado Smells Like BS ... He Ducked the Vietnam War!

Published | Updated

Dan Rather's not buying President Trump rushing into the Florida high school to stop the mass shooter -- he says history shows that's just not his style.

We got the legendary CBS anchor in NYC Tuesday, and asked him to assess Trump's claim -- "I really believe I'd run in there, even if I didn't have a weapon." Rather started to say he wants to be respectful of the office of the Presidency ... then dropped a BIG ol' but.

He says Trump had a chance to stand up and show his bravery during the Vietnam War, but "ducked" it. Dan does acknowledge that was a long time ago, and the Prez could have changed.

But, you can hear it in his voice ... Dan ain't got no time for Trump's hypothetical courage, and he doesn't think he's alone.

NO LUCK FOR ME

Lindsey Vonn ain't a Donald Trump fan -- she made it very clear before the Olympics -- so how'd she feel about Ivanka making the trip to S. Korea for the games??

We asked her ... and her reaction says a lot.

FYI -- Vonn went after Trump in December ... saying she would be competing for the people of her country, NOT the President ... because she felt Trump didn't represent the country well.

There's a lot more ... we talked to Lindsey about all sorts of stuff when she touched down at LAX on Monday ... like retirement, whether she got any action in the Olympic Village, the U.S. curling team getting shut down for 1st class seats by Delta Airlines, and where she keeps her new bronze medal!!

Florida Shooting Survivor Trump Jr. Bullied My Bro Why Isn't Melania Going After Him?

Published | Updated

Melania Trump's all bark and no bite, according to a Florida school shooting survivor who says the First Lady whiffed on a chance to denounce cyberbullying from her own own family member ... Donald Trump Jr.

Lauren Hogg tells TMZ ... Melania's failed to step up after Trump Jr. hit the "like" button on a pair of tweets bashing Lauren's brother, David ... who also survived the shooting. The tweets accused David -- who's been very vocal about the need for new gun laws -- of running damage control for the FBI, and being a tool for mainstream media.

Lauren's adamant ... the First Family owes the Hogg family an apology "because (Donald Jr.) in a way kicked a wound that hasn't healed yet." She also finds Melania's silence odd, considering she tours the country talking about the need to stop bullies.

She adds, "I absolutely think it is cowardly for the first family to not condemn the accusations and trolls who are cyber bullying us.”

Trump, Putin, Kim Jong-un Human Rights Ads Banned from D.C.

Published | Updated

Three super provocative ads featuring President Trump, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un won't see the light of day -- at least not in our nation's capital ... TMZ has learned.

Amnesty International USA wanted to place the ads in metro stations in the D.C. area. The org tried making the deal on February 12, but it got nixed 4 days later.

The point of the ad campaign ... "a message of protecting human rights around the world" that coincided with its annual conference in nearby Bethesda, MD.

We had heard the objection to the ads was the unflattering pic of Trump, but upon further digging we were told the ads violate a D.C. ordinance prohibiting political ads on public transit, which is interpreted to include metro stations.

The law specifically prohibits advertisements intended to influence public policy.

Margaret Huang, the Exec Director of Amnesty International USA, is fiercely opposed to banning the ads, telling us the ads are all about upholding human rights, which is neither a partisan nor political.

She says the law is all the more misguided because it makes advocacy ads difficult to post in the most important place ... where policies are made.

Under the category, 'If At First You Don't Succeed' ... the org plans to run ads in other major cities ...

President Trump Makes Move to Ban Bump Stocks Following Vegas/Florida Shootings

Published | Updated

President Trump's doing something about gun control -- he says he's signed paperwork directing Jeff Sessions to get the ball rolling on banning "all devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns."

Trump says this process actually started after the Las Vegas massacre in October, when he told the Attorney General to look into whether the bump stocks used by Stephen Paddock were illegal under current law.

The Prez must have been encouraged by what Sessions reported back, because now -- in the wake of the Florida school shooting by Nikolas Cruz that left 17 people dead -- he's made a big move to propose regulations almost all gun control advocates support.

It's unclear what Sessions will do from here, but steps are clearly being taken to address the gun crisis.

However, don't count on the Florida State House to follow suit. Around the same time Trump made his announcement, state legislators voted down a measure to hear a bill banning assault rifles 71-36.

Baby steps.

'Last Men in Aleppo' Filmmakers Toss Hail Mary for Travel Visas

Published | Updated

Desperate times call for desperate measures -- creators of the Oscar-nominated film, "Last Men in Aleppo," are hoping party invitations will convince feds to approve their travel from Syria to the United States.

If you haven't heard ... producer Kareem Abeed, co-director Hassan Kattan and cinematographers Fadi Al Halabi and Thaer Mohamad are from Syria, and they're barred from coming to the U.S. for the Academy Awards due to President Trump's travel ban.

The filmmakers know exceptions can be made for unusual circumstances, and we're told their Hail Mary consists of securing as many Oscar party invitations as possible. They want to present the documents to local consulates Tuesday in Europe.

Their argument, we're told, will be that they have legitimate business reasons to be in L.A. before, during and after the Oscars.

Two of the guys, Hassan and Fadi, went through this last year when their documentary short, "The White Helmets" won an Oscar. They were not present to accept due to the travel ban.

President Trump Blasts Oprah's '60 Minutes' Report ... Hopes She Runs for Prez

Published | Updated

President Trump is ripping Oprah the journalist -- for her report on his first year in office -- but says he's looking forward to defeating Oprah the candidate.

Trump, apparently, changed the channel on his TV Sunday night just long enough to catch Oprah on "60 Minutes" doing a round table discussion with Michigan voters -- pro and anti-Trump. He wasn't impressed, and dismissed Oprah, who he used to know very well, as "insecure" ... and claimed her "questions were biased and slanted."

Trump added he hopes "Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated." Guessing he hasn't heard Oprah declare repeatedly that she's NOT running for Prez.

As for Oprah's report ... Trump's supporters definitely had their say. Maybe he didn't watch long enough.

Happy President's Day!

Tomi Lahren Yes, Jesus & Prayer Will Stop Mass Shootings

EMPHASIS ON THE PRAYERS

Tomi Lahren doubled down on her stance the Florida school shooting wasn't about guns ... it's about a lunatic who wouldn't have slaughtered 17 people if he had more religion in his life.

We got the FOX News contributor at LAX Sunday and asked her about Trump tweeting that the FBI could have thwarted Nikolas Cruz if it wasn't so focused on him and Russia. Tomi dodged that controversy, and stuck to her own social media crisis.

Tomi's getting a ton of backlash online for calling for Christians to pray more in the wake of the shooting, instead of talking about gun control.

We'll say this ... she's sticking to her story. Backlash be damned.
