Salma Hayek's brother Sami may have gunned his muscle car just before getting into a fatal car crash, and cops are thinking of referring the case to the D.A. for manslaughter prosecution.

LAPD got a search warrant -- obtained by TMZ -- which allowed them to root through the car Sami was driving -- a 2006 Ford GT. Cops were zeroing in on a device called an RCM -- restraint control module, which is like a black box for cars.

Cops believe the RCM will confirm the stories of some eyewitnesses ... that Sami gunned his car and lost control, which then caused him to fishtail over the center line and hit a car coming in the opposite direction.

According to the search warrant, cops reveal they anticipate sending the case to the L.A. County D.A. for possible felony vehicular manslaughter prosecution.

The legal docs don't reveal the results of the RCM analysis.

And, according to the search warrant, Salma and her husband OWN the car and he often drove it when they were out of town. Under California law, if the victim's family sues, the registered owners could also be on the hook.

"Are You the One?" star Chris Tolleson was the one ... who along with a few friends, rescued a guy from a burning car just minutes before it burst into flames.

Tolleson tells TMZ he was in a car with a group of friends in Virginia Beach a few weeks back when they drove up to an accident scene and discovered a car that had just crashed into a tree ... and was ON FIRE.

Tolleson says he and his friends ran out of their car and found a guy unconscious in the passenger seat (there was no driver to be found) but the door was blocked by a tree. He says he and his friends pulled the tree back enough so they could open the door and dragged the guy out of the car.

After Tolleson says they dragged him 50 feet or so, he says they could hear the car starting to crackle, so they dragged him another 50 feet. Tolleson says the car blew up just a few minutes later.

Tolleson says his other two friends suffered first degree burns from the fire, while he got cut up from helping to remove the tree.

The victim suffered serious injuries. No word on his progress.

Dina Lohan has something in common with her daughter Lindsay now ... after she pled guilty this morning to aggravated DWI and speeding in a Long Island courtroom ... TMZ has learned.

According to courtroom sources, Lohan must do 100 hours of community service. She is expected to have her license revoked and an interlock device will be installed in her vehicle.

We're told she must also attend a mandatory drinking and driving program, a victim impact panel and also pay the necessary fines and fees.

As TMZ previously reported, Lohan was busted last September with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit.

Former "CSI" star Jose Zuniga's white SUV is in pieces -- after his car crashed through a bus stop in Hollywood moments ago.

Zuniga -- who has also appeared in pretty much every other TV show you've ever seen -- tells us, he was rear-ended ... and the other car sent him careening through a nearby bus stop. He landed in a construction area. We're told a third car was also involved, but damage to the other cars wasn't as bad.

Thankfully, we're told no one was injured. The fire department responded to the scene shortly afterward.

Justin Bieber is making a habit of making it look like he owns cool stuff, when he really doesn't -- this time he tried to pass off a super famous yacht as his own ... when everyone knows it's not his.

As TMZ first reported, Bieber posted a photo of himself in a Bugatti that he referred to as "my first Bugatti" ... but it was just a loaner from Birdman.

Then on Wednesday, Bieber posted a pic on board a yacht called "Never Say Never" -- which just happens to be the name of his concert film. But TMZ has learned Bieber does NOT own the boat ... not even close. The boat is registered to a family trust based in Coral Cables, FL.

Here's why Justin is particularly stupid for trying to lay claim to the yacht -- it's the same boat Lonely Island used for their LEGENDARY video, "I'm on a Boat."

If you want to make it in the rap game, Justin ... might want to start getting your own stuff instead of borrowing other people's.

Birdman is not as generous as Justin Bieber would have you believe ... the car Biebs posed with on Instagram was NOT a gift -- it's just a loaner from Birdman.

Biebs posted the photo on Instagram Monday with the caption, "Uncle Stunna luv. My first Bugatti ♛ #generosity"

It makes it seem like Birdman bought the car for Bieber, but we've learned that's just not case. Birdman told Biebs he's welcome to drive the car -- reportedly worth nearly $2 million -- whenever he's in Miami.

Here's the thing ... when you lend Bieber a car ... what's the worst that can happen?

There's a bad pattern surfacing in the young life of Austin Mahone.

The singer was rollin' through Miami Friday on a segway with a felonious design ... which now matches a Range Rover that makes Justin Bieber's reflective whip look understated.

BTW .... the segway has speakers.

Brooke Burke Charvet was so afraid her car would veer into oncoming traffic yesterday, that she drove it up a hill and into a fence on purpose ... to avoid a bad accident.

Brooke got into a minor accident yesterday in Malibu and scratched up her sweet Maserati. Cops were suspicious enough that they gave her a field sobriety test.

But Brooke was stone cold sober, explaining the ABS system on her Maserati had failed. She said her only concern was for the safety of the small children in her car ... and that's why she drove it into a fence ... rather than risk hitting another car.

Brooke Burke Charvet walked a thin line with police after her Maserati accident Wednesday AM -- she took a field sobriety test -- and TMZ has obtained the footage showing she's stone cold sober.

As we reported, cops suspected the actress might be under the influence after her Mas crashed up an embankment in Calabasas. She passed the field sobriety test with flying colors, but the video is great.

Brooke Burke Charvet crashed her Maserati early this morning, but TMZ has learned she's blaming the whole thing on a faulty steering wheel.

According to law enforcement sources, Brooke drove her car through a chain link fence in Calabasas early this morning. We're told the accident caused only mild damage to her pricey ride.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they gave Brooke a field sobriety test on the scene ... and she passed with flying colors.

Our sources say she told police there was a problem with the steering, and that's what caused the crash.

Sean Kingston needs a second job ... because we found out not one but TWO of his cars have been repo'd in the last week.

Our repo sources tell us ... Sean's Mercedez Benz G-Wagen was hooked up on a tow at an L.A. shopping center last week. It seems Mr. Kingston fell 3 months behind on payments. He's been radio silent ever since so the car is headed for the auction block.

TMZ broke the story -- which on a level is hilarious -- that he went to the fancy schmancy Mondrian hotel on the Sunset Strip Wednesday night and the same repo company targeted his Bentley right by the front door. Sean and his crew argued in vain and he said sayonara to his whip.

Sean is worth a reported $2 mil. How to say ... Toyota's are nice, right?

Sean Kingston's night out took an unexpected and humiliating turn when his Bentley got REPOSSESSED on Sunset Boulevard -- and TMZ has video of his crew squaring off with the repo man.

According to our sources, Kingston valeted his car at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood last night. The valet kept the car in front 'cause that's what they do with high-profile rides ... and that's when the repo crew struck.

We're told the repo guys backed in their tow truck and hooked up the Bentley in a matter of seconds -- impressive because the hotel has a REALLY small driveway and valet area.

Someone got Sean out of the hotel ... and in the video you can see him arguing with the repo guy, and at one point he yells, "I paid for it already."

Too little too late ... the Bentley got towed. Cops were called for the fight, but no arrests were made.

Sean's rep had no comment.

We're told Sean left the hotel in an Uber ... and sure enough we spotted him later at a different bar -- sans Bentley.

Katy Perry's got an unlikely new BF -- rapper Riff Raff -- at least that's on Riff Raff's wish list ... because he's SMITTEN after the two went on a date last week ... despite his obvious addiction to other women in thong bikinis.

Raff was out in Miami Tuesday when we asked about his date with the "Dark Horse" singer -- Raff says he took Katy out for the Holy Trinity ... sushi, bowling, and drinks ... and he had a blast.

If Katy's down -- Raff says he'd love to see her again ... maybe next week when she's back in the country.

We're a little surprised though -- Katy's a busty woman ... and from this clip, it's pretty clear Raff's an ass man. You gotta see it.

Justin Bieber has joined a very exclusive mile-high club that does not involving banging ... but it does involve body parts and a little prick.

It's true ... TMZ has learned Bieber got fresh ink on a flight to Canada just five days after his infamous Miami Beach arrest. The new tat was done by New York City tattoo artist Bang Bang, who has tatted up the likes of Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and many other big celebs.

Bang Bang tells TMZ the work was done at 40,000 feet (which he thinks might be a record for highest altitude tattoo) and during terrible turbulence. He called it "the most difficult tattoo I’ve ever done for sure."

In case you're wondering ... a rep for the FAA tells TMZ there is nothing illegal about getting a tattoo aboard a plane, as long as it doesn't interfere with the safety of passengers and crew.

As for the significance of the tattoos ... Bang Bang says Bieber sent him a text afterward, explaining, "Forgiveness is powerful, forgive as Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins."

Or strike a plea bargain. Whichever works best.

Ex-NBA superstar Ben Wallace is now a FREE MAN ... after spending 16 hours behind bars for a hit-and-run accident back in February.

Wallace began his stint on Tuesday when he was sentenced to 2 days in the slammer for leaving the scene of an accident when he crashed his SUV through a fence in Virginia and fled on February 8th.

But after 16 grueling hours ... Wallace was released.
