Corey Haim's mother says her son was an open book with her, and while she claims someone did abuse Corey ... she knows it wasn't Charlie Sheen.

Judy Haim spoke to Dr. Oz and told him her son never hid anything from her ... so she would have known about any instances of sexual assault. She's not buying the report claiming 19-year-old Sheen molested or raped a 13-year-old Corey on a movie set in the '80s.

Judy does accuse someone other than Sheen of abusing Corey, but Oz isn't revealing the name.

As we told you, Sheen's ex-fiancee, Brett Rossi, wasn't convinced of Charlie's innocence -- but mama Haim says she's setting the record straight.

John Hillerman -- the co-star on "Magnum, P.I." who played Tom Selleck's condescending landlord -- has died.

A spokeswoman for the family reportedly said he died Thursday at his home in Houston. The cause of death is not known. Hillerman played Jonathan Quayle Higgins III alongside Selleck in the hit 1980s TV series.

Hillerman -- who also appeared on "The Love Boat," "The Betty White Show," "Murder, She Wrote," and "One Day at a Time" -- received 4 Emmy nominations for his "Magnum" role, and won for outstanding supporting actor in a drama series in 1987. He also won a Golden Globe in 1982.

His death comes on the heels of CBS' announcement the network is rebooting the show.

Hillerman was 84.

The day of questioning has arrived for Venus Williams ... the tennis star is about to sit for her deposition in the lawsuit stemming from that fatal car crash back in June.

As we previously reported, the family of Jerome Barson sued Venus -- claiming she's to blame for blocking an intersection and causing Jerome's car to T-bone her in a crash that killed Jerome.

So, what happens today? Barson's lawyers will undoubtedly grill Venus about her driving decisions on that fateful day and try to paint her as negligent.

Venus will most likely fight back and continue to lay the blame on a third unidentified driver who she has claimed cut in front of her -- forcing her car to linger in the intersection.

Roy Halladay appeared to be hot doggin' it in his plane in the moments before his crash -- making extreme and unusual changes in altitude ... this according to multiple witnesses.

TMZ Sports has obtained footage shot by boaters who say the ex-MLB star's plane was going from 100 feet in the air down to 5 feet and then back up again ... repeatedly.

The boaters were so shocked by the flying pattern, they pulled out their cell phones to capture the bizarre dips and rises.

Moments later, the plane crashed into the Gulf of Mexico -- and the boat full of witnesses raced over to the crash scene to see if they could help. Once they arrived, it was clear the pilot was dead.

The responders called 911 and waited for help to arrive.

We spoke with other boaters in the area who told a similar story -- "dramatically increasing and decreasing in elevation."

Another witness says, "He was flying like that all week. Aggressively."

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the crash.

Halladay was 40 years old.

Retired baseball superstar Roy Halladay died in a fatal plane crash Tuesday in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Dept. in Florida is holding a news conference to reveal details of the crash. They confirm Roy was the only person aboard the ICON A5 light-sport aircraft when it went down 10 miles west of St. Petersburg.

The Sheriff's Dept. says Roy did not make a mayday call before he went down, and they've already recovered his body.

40-year-old Halladay proudly purchased an ICON A5 just last month ... the first one of the production line. He posted a video in which his wife expressed concern about the aircraft, but also said she felt more comfortable after flying in it.

Roy was an 8-time All-Star pitcher for the Phillies and the Blue Jays, and a two-time Cy Young Award winner. He's one of only 2 players in MLB history to throw a no-hitter in the playoffs. He also pitched a perfect game for the Phillies in 2010.

The Phillies issued a statement -- "We are numb over the very tragic news about Roy's untimely death. There are no words to describe the sadness that the entire Phillies family is feeling over the loss of one of the most respected human beings to ever play the game."

He's expected to be a first ballot Hall of Famer when he becomes eligible in 2019.

The family of Brad Bufanda -- known for his role on "Veronica Mars" -- received individual letters from Brad the day after he died ... meaning the suicide was well-planned.

Sources close to the family tell TMZ ... Brad wrote letters to family and friends days before he committed suicide Wednesday, and those letters arrived the day after he jumped off a building. We don't know if any of the letters describe why Brad took his life, but at least one was limited to thanking the recipient for various kind deeds over the years.

As we reported ... Brad left a suicide note which cops found on or near his body that gave the names of his parents along with a "thank you" to people in his life.

And Brad left more than letters. He also sent his rep his MacBook laptop as an inside joke ... because the rep preferred PCs.

The family is in shock ... they say there were no signs of distress ... especially because Brad had just wrapped a leading role in "Stan the Man" and had recently auditioned for roles in "Avatar 2," "Black Jesus" and "iZombie."

Brad was 34.

Robert Knight, best known for his 1967 hit "Everlasting Love," is dead.

Knight died over the weekend at his home in Tennessee after fighting a short illness, according to the Tennessean.

Knight never had quite the chart topper he did with "Everlasting Love" but went on to record several other songs like "Blessed are the Lonely," "Isn't it Lonely Together" and "Love on a Mountain Top" in the '60s and '70s.

While you definitely know Knight's biggest hit, it's likely you know some other version more than his. Carl Carlton hit the top 10 with a 1974 cover. Knight topped out at 13 on the charts. Gloria Estefan, U2 and many other artists have covered it as well.

Knight was 72.

Jimmy Fallon won't be hitting the TV airwaves anew this week ... NBC canceled new tapings of "The Tonight Show" following his mother's death.

The network announced Sunday there wouldn't be any new 'Tonight Show' episodes airing this week, and that re-runs would be coming on Monday through Friday instead.

As we reported ... Fallon's mother, Gloria, died Saturday in a NYC hospital with Jimmy and other family by her side. She was reportedly quite ill.

"The Tonight Show" host's mom reportedly died at NYU Langone Medical Center with Jimmy and other family members by her side. The news of her death comes just one day after Friday's taping of Fallon's show was canceled for a family emergency.

Several reports said his mother was very ill.

As we reported ... Questlove expressed sympathy for Jimmy's loss when we got him out earlier Saturday in L.A.

Questlove just suggested to our photog ... Jimmy Fallon's mom has either passed away or it's about to happen.

We got "The Tonight Show" band frontman leaving the Director's Guild in West Hollywood Saturday and asked him how Jimmy's doing after the family emergency that canceled taping of the show Friday -- his answer implies Fallon's lost someone close to him.

Reports out say Jimmy's mom is very ill in the hospital, so he left Friday to join his family and be with her.

Questlove tells our guy he's not sure when 'The Tonight Show' will begin taping again.

The death of "Always and Forever" singer Keith Wilder came as a shock to his family ... because he looked great and was full of energy in the days leading up to it.

Keith's family tells TMZ ... he was dancing, laughing and in great spirits from Thursday through Saturday last week while his niece was in town for her birthday. We're told they hit up a concert Friday night and went out for a late dinner Saturday night ... and everything seemed fine.

The family says Keith woke up Sunday morning like normal but took a nap later on ... and didn't wake up. They're now waiting for autopsy results.

We're told Wilder had a massive stroke 4 years ago that left him with limited mobility on his right side ... but he had regained his health. His wife says despite his passing, the fam's blessed they got 4 extra years with him because the stroke was so bad.

Wilder died last Sunday, leaving behind his wife and 4 kids. He was 65.

10:00 AM PT -- Law enforcement tells TMZ, Bufanda jumped off a building in L.A. and a transient found his body laying on the sidewalk around 1 AM Wednesday. Bufanda left a suicide note that was found on or near his body which gave the names of his parents along with a "thank you" to people in his life.

10:48 AM PT -- Bufanda's manager, Kirsten Solem tells us his suicide comes as a complete shock ... Solem says the actor didn't struggle with substance abuse and never showed any outward signs of an emotional struggle.

Brad Bufanda -- an actor best known for his role on "Veronica Mars" -- has committed suicide ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for Bufanda confirmed with us the actor committed suicide Wednesday. The details of his death are unclear.

Brad had a recurring role as Felix Toombs on "Veronica Mars" during seasons 1 and 2. He also appeared on other TV shows like "CSI: Miami," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Boston Public" and "Days of our Lives" ... and had a part in the 2004 film, "A Cinderella Story."

He was 34.

Bobby Slayton has cut a deal with the caretakers he believes are responsible for his wife's death ... according to new legal docs.

We broke the story ... "The Pitbull of Comedy" and his daughter, Natasha, sued a doctor and a nursing facility for negligence while treating his wife, Teddie Lee Tillett, who died in March 2016.

According to the docs, the sides have reached a settlement -- the Slaytons get $150,000 and in exchange, he'll release the healthcare workers from future claims. A judge still needs to sign off on it ... but both sides have agreed.

Natasha is a member of the girl group G.R.L.

The man who plowed his rental truck into pedestrians and cyclists in Lower Manhattan left behind handwritten letters pledging allegiance to ISIS.

Sayfullo Saipov, the 29-year-old terror suspect, reportedly left notes written in Arabic along with a picture of the ISIS flag in his Home Depot rental that he used to mow down innocent bystanders ... killing 8.

The notes indicate he pledged loyalty to the group, and were found by investigators after his attack.

Earlier Tuesday, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio described Saipov as a terrorist and a coward.

The man who mowed down pedestrians and cyclists in Lower Manhattan was a terrorist and a coward.

That's how NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio described the suspect, who NYPD apprehended Tuesday at the scene. Hizzoner and NYPD Commissioner James P. O'Neill discussed the horrific event that unfolded on a busy bike path in lower Manhattan.

O'Neill said the suspect, now identified as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov, had 2 weapons -- apparently a paintball gun and a pellet gun. He said an officer confronted Saipov and shot him in the abdomen ... he survived and was taken to a hospital.

Eight people were killed -- 6 at the crime scene, and 2 more passed away at a hospital.

Keith Wilder, the lead singer of the '70s funk band Heatwave, has died.

Wilder's had several massive hits, including "Always and Forever," "Boogie Nights" and "The Groove Line."

Wilder had been suffering from serious health problems recently and died in his sleep Sunday, according to his cousin and bandmate, Billy Jones.

"Always and Forever" was the group's biggest hit ... as it went platinum. "Boogie Nights" broke the top 10.

Keith summed up his band simply ... "We just kept it real and kept it pure."

The group was nominated for 2 Grammys but didn't win.

Wilder was 65.
