Hulk Hogan and his family were "really upset" about the death of ex-WWE star Vader -- with Brooke Hogan and Nick telling us the wrestling star was a big part of their childhood.

"He was always a really nice guy," Nick told us at LAX ... "It sucks. My dad had actually wrestled him a couple of times and they had become friends over the years."

"We got up today and we heard the news and it was kind of somber. Everybody was really upset about it."

Brooke added, "My dad was very sad today."

Vader passed away earlier this week from heart complications after a bout with pneumonia. He was 63.

5:30 AM PT -- Police have arrested Dedrick D. Williams for the murder of XXXTentacion. Broward County Sheriff's Dept. took Williams into custody Wednesday evening.

Investigators working on XXXTentacion's murder seem to be homing in on a Florida rapper who posted a pic of himself packing heat Monday, not far from the crime scene.

Soldier Kidd's been widely accused online of having possible involvement in XXX's shooting death -- mostly due to a photo of himself at Hook Fish & Chicken restaurant, which is 7 minutes from where X was killed.

In the pic, you clearly see a handgun in Kidd's lap, right next to his food. It was posted within an hour of X's shooting.

We're told detectives went to Hook Fish & Chicken late Monday to collect surveillance footage -- specifically of the time Soldier Kidd was there.

There's more -- according to the dispatch audio from the shooting, one of the 2 armed men was wearing a red mask. Kidd shared a photo of himself and a friend with a red mask in the front seat of his car.

The "Triple X" isn't necessarily a reference to XXXTentacion ... since Kidd recorded a mixtape with that title.

We're told cops have also collected security footage from the motorcycle shop where the shooting went down. Police haven't named any suspects, and Soldier Kidd has denied any involvement.

XXXTentacion was shot in the neck during an alleged robbery ... and, according to one person on the scene, it appeared he died instantly.

TMZ broke the story, XXX was murdered Monday in South Florida when two armed men approached his car and shot the rapper. An eyewitness tells us a bullet struck XXX in the neck -- and he went immediately limp -- losing all signs of life, including pulse.

The police dispatch also revealed just how dire XXX's situation was ... classifying him as a level 1 trauma patient and describing his state as "comatose." The eyewitness says it was clear to him ... XXX had passed.

The dispatch revealed the alleged shooters made off in a black Dodge Journey.

Ex-WWE superstar Vader has died ... after a two-year battle with congestive heart failure. He was 63.

Vader's son broke the news on social media, saying, "Around a month ago my father was diagnosed with a severe case of Pneumonia. He fought extremely hard and clinically was making progress. Unfortunately, on Monday night his heart had enough and it was his time."

Vader had undergone open-heart surgery back in March and seemed to be doing well -- but his health took a turn for the worse and he wasn't able to recover.

We spoke with Vader just a few months ago -- right after his surgery -- and he told us he was feeling better and looking forward to getting out of the hospital. He was super nice to us.

Before his wrestling career, Vader -- real name Leon White -- was a football star at the University of Colorado where he was a 2-time All-American offensive lineman.

He was drafted by the Rams in the 3rd round of the 1978 NFL Draft and played in Super Bowl XIV against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

As a pro wrestler, Vader was a huge star globally -- he was a 3-time WCW heavyweight champ. In WWE, he famously battled guys like The Undertaker and Kane.

He also made TV appearances on shows like "Baywatch" and "Boy Meets World."

Charlamagne tha God wants new-school rappers to learn one thing from XXXTentacion's murder -- gain better perspective about life, and talk a lot less about dying.

We got the 'Breakfast Club' cohost Tuesday night at NYC's Tribeca Film Center, and talked to him about the tragic death of the 20-year-old rapper ... who was killed by a gunman Monday in South Florida.

Charlamagne recalled the videos XXX posted, openly talking about possibly dying and also his legacy. One of them went viral after he was gunned down. X said, "If I'm gonna die, or ever be a sacrifice, I want to make sure that my life made at least 5 million kids happy."

Charlamagne says he wants to encourage young rappers to have a better point of view.

10:18 PM PT -- Officers have gained control of the situation and the crowd has almost entirely dispersed.

10:00 PM PT -- According to reports, officers fired rubber bullets and pepper bullets into the crowd after participants started to throw rocks.

Hundreds of XXXTentacion fans closed down Melrose Avenue, some risking their lives by jumping off roofs during a tribute to the rapper in Los Angeles.

Fans took to the streets Tuesday night ... climbing on top of vehicles, swarming the streets and sidewalks and scaling buildings. Some fans jumped off of roofs into crowds of people below as chants from the crowd grew louder.

A congregation of several hundred began around 8 PM ... it started peacefully but, as the crowd size grew, so did the chaos. Multiple news crews and L.A. County Sheriff's department helicopters flew above. Officers in riot gear also descended upon the crowd.

Danielle Bregoli is still taking the news of XXXTentacion's murder hard, and pleading for the violence to end.

We got Bregoli downtown L.A. -- on the set of her music video "Trust Me" with Ty Dolla $ign -- where she shed tears over XXX's murder, which Bregoli says needs to be a wake-up call for others like Tekashi69 and Trippie Red who act all big and tough.

Bregoli and XXXTentacion were good friends apparently ... something people didn't really know 'til Danielle shared a video Monday of a phone call she recorded with the late rapper. In the call, XXX apologized about something, although Danielle didn't elaborate on it.

XXXTentacion's tragic death and Rich the Kid getting beat down are reminders to all artists to watch their backs, now more than ever ... according to 6lack.

We got the "Prblms" rapper at LAX and asked him if the latest violent incidents will make up-and-comers in the music industry reconsider getting into the game. 6lack says it's clear rappers need to think twice about their safety.

TMZ broke the story ... XXX was gunned down Monday in South Florida after an apparent robbery. Rich the Kid was beaten and hospitalized after a home invasion robbery.

Fans have been flocking to XXXTentacion's South Florida death scene and lining it with balloons, flowers, candles and stuffed animals.

TMZ has obtained several images taken Tuesday in the same spot XXX was gunned down just the day before while sitting in his car. You can still see the orange markings from the police investigation noting where his car tires had been parked.

Nine passengers who survived Southwest flight 1380 -- the one where shrapnel from a failed engine shattered a cabin window -- are suing the airline.

The passengers say they're all suffering severe PTSD after the tragic flight. Some are also coping with physical injuries, though the lawsuit doesn't specify what those are. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, the passengers say the in-flight emergency forced them to "confront their greatest fear, the overwhelming horror of being trapped in a plane about to crash."

You'll recall, flight 1380 made an emergency landing in Philadelphia back in April ... after the 737's left engine failed and broke apart. The resulting shrapnel destroyed a cabin window, and Jennifer Riordan was partially sucked out of the cabin. She later died from her injuries.

One of the plaintiffs was not onboard the flight, but his wife was. He's suing for loss of consortium.

The woman XXXTentacion allegedly abused while she was pregnant with his child is NOT celebrating his death ... and, instead, says she's devastated.

Geneva Ayala is upset about some of the Internet reaction to her ex-boyfriend's murder ... particularly people who assume she'd dance on XXX's grave. She said, "i didn't lose my life. he did. it's permanent. i'm still here. like how do you think that makes me feel?"

Geneva also called it "disgusting" that anyone would attempt to speak for her.

As we reported, XXX was awaiting trial for the alleged abuse of Geneva, and also for multiple counts of witness tampering in the case. Prosecutors think he coerced Geneva into not testifying against him.

XXXTentacion's music is climbing the charts at warp speed ... following his tragic death.

The rapper -- who was gunned down Monday in Florida -- has the no. 1 and no. 2 albums on Amazon's Movers and Shakers Digital Music list. His album "?" -- which dropped in March -- saw a whopping 41,306% spike in a matter of hours. XXX's "17" album is up nearly 9,000%.

But the success isn't limited to digital music. XXX is garnering plenty of attention in the CDs and vinyl category too. He holds the no. 2 and 3 spots with the LP of "?" jumping a staggering 542,566% and the CD "?" seeing a 54,057% spike in sales.

XXX's also dominating on iTunes ... his "SAD!" track from his latest album is currently the no. 1 song. The track "changes" from the same album sits at no. 5. The album skyrocketed to no. 3 overall on the iTunes charts. The album "17" which debuted back in 2017 is also in the top 10 at no. 5.

As for Spotify ... the streaming service pulled his music following charges filed against him based on the alleged beating of his pregnant GF. But Spotify's reversed course since he was killed in South Florida -- Spotify featured an "RIP XXXTentacion" banner and featured his playlist at the top of its browse carousel.

XXXTentacion was putting the finishing touches on his dream home when he was shot and killed Monday ... something that was supposed to be a crowning moment of achievement.

XXX plunked down $1.4 million in November on the Parkland, Florida mansion located 15 minutes from the shooting. The nearly 6,000 square foot home has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and a pool on more than an acre of land.

Neighbors tell us construction crews had been working to complete the project, installing a security fence on the perimeter. XXX moved in recently and neighbors say he was quiet, but friendly.

TMZ broke the story, XXX was gunned down Monday in what the Broward County Sheriff's Office says appears to be an attempted robbery as he left a local motorcycle store.

Suge Knight's chances of getting out of jail to attend his mother's funeral have dwindled down to about zero ... because rules are rules.

We spoke to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department who tells us Suge can't get his hands on a "get out of jail free" card to attend events ... even if that event happens to be his own mother's funeral. As we reported, Maxine Chatman died Sunday.

The reason's simple ... Suge's an inmate who falls under a category that makes him ineligible to attend funerals -- he's a homicide suspect. Suge's in jail awaiting trial for murder.

That being said, Suge could file a petition with the court, but we're told the likelihood of a court going against the Sheriff's Department is slim.

Claudia Jordan's adamant the criminal justice system has had its faults ... so it's only right Suge Knight get let out of jail at LEAST so he can attend his mother's funeral.

We got the former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Sunday night leaving Delilah in WeHo and asked her if Suge should get a "get out of jail free" card after the passing of his mother. TMZ broke the story ... Suge's mom, Maxine Chatman, died Sunday after suffering a stroke.
