NASCAR legend Tony Stewart just fired a huge shot at Colin Kaepernick -- calling him a "dumbass" and an "idiot" over his National Anthem protest.

"I'm sorry but @Kaepernick7 needs to learn the fact about police before running his dumbass mouth," Stewart said on Twitter.

"He has no clue what they go thru! #idiot."

Stewart is essentially echoing the sentiments of the San Francisco Police Officers Association -- which claimed the QB showed an "incredible lack of knowledge."

So far, Kaepernick has yet to respond to Stewart or the SFPOA.

3:04 PM PT -- Dolphins running back Arian Foster saw Tony's tweet and has responded -- saying, "How about attempting to educate him via your views instead of fueling hatred."

Zac Efron's officially been put on notice ... Simone Biles' BF fired off the warning shot.

Arthur Nory Mariano -- also a stellar gymnast reppin' Brazil at the Olympics -- just tweeted at Zac to back off his gold medal winning GF. He's joking ... we think.

LSU superstar Leonard Fournette is apologizing for the 1-on-1 incident with his teammate Garrett Brumfield -- but insists the incident was NOT a real fight.

"I would like to apologize to everyone, but we were not fighting, just slap boxing," Fournette tweeted.

"But again I would like to apologize to everyone again."

Scottie Pippen and his wife are FURIOUS at Christian Laettner -- claiming he still hasn't paid them back the hundreds of thousands of dollars he owes them ... and they want to collect, NOW.

Around 2007, Pippen invested a ton of money with Laettner and his partners to buy a stake in the Memphis Grizzlies ... but when the deal fizzled, he never got his money back.

Pippen sued Laettner and his partners and was awarded a $2.5 million judgment -- but has NOT received the full amount.

Enter Larsa Pippen ... who took the beef public this week -- tweeting at Laettner, "Hey @laettnerbball are you ever gonna pay us back homie?"

"It's crazy you've been f***ing us around forever @laettnerbball. Homie how do u sleep at night."

Sources connected to the case tell us Laettner still owes at least $600,000 to the Pippens.

Yeah, we'd be pissed too.

MLB legend Gary Sheffield is going to bat for Tim Tebow ... saying he's worked with the aspiring baseball player and the dude is a NATURAL!

"I spent time w @TimTebow in the cages recently," Sheffield tweeted.

"He's a NATURAL. I absolutley believe in his ability to play in the bigs. Tim has IT #focused."

DJ Quik has lawyered up against YG, Stampede Entertainment and Def Jam over what he's saying is his rightful claim to credit on YG's massive hit song, "My Hitta."

DJ Quik tells TMZ he was instrumental in creating the track, but was omitted from the credits and hasn't seen a dime. The West Coast rap legend went on a Twitter rant Sunday calling out YG and his management team.

The song came out in 2013 and and has since gone double platinum. While the track was produced by DJ Mustard, Quik claims he served as the track's engineer, and even contributed vocals.

He says he didn't complain for a long time because he was constantly strung along ... promised he'd get the credit.

He also wants his platinum plaques.

Dina says Lindsay was just trying to get revenge on Egor -- whom she accused of cavorting with a Russian chick -- when she claimed she was pregnant. Things got complicated when these pics surfaced, showing her smoking, drinking and certainly looking like she might be pregnant.

Dina now says Lindsay was distraught and just "overreacted." She's not pregnant and wants some time away from Egor, but is not done with him. We're told Lindsay is still engaged and plans on getting back with him.

"Suicide Squad" director David Ayer got straight gangsta at his movie's premiere with a four-letter assault on the superheroes over at Marvel ... and then walked it back real freakin' quick.

George Harrison's estate is furious "Here Comes the Sun" was used for Ivanka's big entrance. They say, "The unauthorized use of #HereComestheSun at the #RNCinCLE is offensive and against the wishes of the George Harrison Estate."

The statement goes on, "If it had been Beware of Darkness, then we MAY have approved it! #TrumpYourself."

The guy Leslie Jones blamed for sparking a wave of hatred against her absolutely deserves to be silenced because even the First Amendment has limits ... according to Kristen Schaal.

The 'Last Man on Earth' star came out firmly on Leslie's side in her nasty battle with Breitbart writer Milo Yiannopoulos. While many think Twitter went too far in deleting his account after Leslie was inundated by racist trolling -- Kristen says the guy went "over the top" and deserves what he got.

Leslie Jones is in the middle of a social media uproar after Twitter shut down the writer Leslie blames for touching off a storm of racist hate against her.

Milo Yiannopoulos -- a tech editor for the conservative news site Breitbart -- got banned after Leslie went back and forth with him and his followers over a very mean review Milo wrote about "Ghostbusters." We say "mean" because he called Leslie ... "worthy of a minstrel show."

Leslie's exchange with Milo and her followers included several trolls comparing her to a gorilla.

Leslie begged Twitter to step in, and Wednesday morning it apparently did -- but #FreeMilo is now trending because many users think his First Amendment rights are being violated.

Milo spoke about the ban at a Gays for Trump rally in Cleveland.

Jon Jones says he's NOT A CHEATER -- and says he still believes he can clear his good name.

Of course, Jon was yanked from UFC 200 after he tested positive for 2 banned estrogen blockers -- which are typically used in tandem with certain performance-enhancing drugs to limit side effects.

He has been temporarily suspended from fighting in Nevada -- and a hearing is expected for later this year.

But Monday afternoon, Jon went to Twitter to plead his innocence.

"Don't write me off just yet, I know in my heart that I'm not a cheater," Jones said.

"I trust in the system to help me prove it."

Khloe Kardashian not only crossed the line, she's dead wrong about who she thinks she's shaming in the Taylor/Kanye feud.

Chloe Mortez jumped to Taylor Swift's defense Sunday night after Kim posted a video of Kanye on the phone with Taylor, giving her the heads up that his song "Famous" would reference her.
