Sean Avery Gets Sweet Deal In Rock Throwing & Drug Possession Case

Published | Updated

Sean Avery got a sweet deal in his drug possession and criminal mischief case ... and if he keeps his nose clean ... it'll be off his record.

Back in September '15, Avery -- who played 10 seasons in the NHL -- was arrested in Southampton Village, NY after allegedly throwing rocks at speeding cars. Cops said they also found prescription pain medication on him.

The ex-NHL star was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance -- all misdemeanors.

Avery -- who was facing jail time -- caught a break ... accepting a deal that will see the charges dismissed if he can go 45 days without getting in trouble, according to Southhampton PD.

He ain't totally in the clear ... Avery does have to pay $746.25 in damages.

Anne Frank Center Anne Frank Halloween Costume?! Do We Even Need to Say It?

Published | Updated

Some genius thought Holocaust victim Anne Frank would make one helluva Halloween costume for kids -- but the institution named for Anne is just glad the company behind it got a clue. Eventually.

Online retailer HalloweenCostumes.com rightfully caught major flak Monday for selling a "WW2 Anne Frank Girls Costume." The backlash was so swift and severe they pulled the tone-deaf item from their site ... which featured this highly-offensive costume description.

A rep for the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect -- a nonprofit supporting her legacy -- tells TMZ ... HalloweenCostumes.com's gimmick is offensive and trivializes Anne's suffering and the suffering of millions during the Holocaust.

The AFC says there are more appropriate ways to commemorate Anne's legacy, and it's happy the costume was yanked. HalloweenCostumes.com has apologized for the stunt, but c'mon.

BAD FOR EVERYBODY

Bill Bellamy has a soft spot for Harvey Weinstein.

We got Bill at LAX Monday where he said a lot of what the fallen mogul did was good ... he built the empire from which he's now been banished. He says the success of TWC was built off the back of Harvey.

Bill's also got sympathy for the victims and Harvey's kids, but you gotta listen ... he's got Harvey's back in his fight to get his old job at The Weinstein Company.

Kathy Griffin I'm Blacklisted!!! Here's My Proof ...

Published | Updated

Kathy Griffin claims Hollywood's giving her the shaft, and an email exchange about a speaking engagement she was initially offered proves it.

Kathy says The Hollywood Reporter invited her to speak at its annual Women in Entertainment Power 100 event this year. She posted the email they sent on Sept. 26 offering her the gig -- but just last week she was told it's a no-go. Kathy posted that email as well ... including her response, "Offer rescinded. Good times."

The comedian says she's still reeling from her severed Trump head photo shoot. She says, "I just want to make you laugh, even though I don't have one single day of paid work ahead of me in the United States for the rest of my life."

It's unclear if the change is Trump-related -- we've reached out to The Hollywood Reporter.

Worth noting though -- Kathy was notified last Thursday she'd no longer be speaking. That was just 4 days after she entered a fundraising gig while wearing a Trump mask and waving both middle fingers.

Harvey Weinstein to Howard Stern Producers Don't Get Sex with Stars Like the Good Ole Days

IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT

Howard Stern asked Harvey Weinstein a question about having sex with Hollywood actresses that was eerily dead-on ... and Weinstein lied right to his face.

Howard pulled up the 2014 interview Monday morning on his show. In the clip Howard asks Weinstein if he ever got to experience "the mogul aspect" -- meaning having actresses throw themselves at him for a shot at Oscar-winning roles.

Weinstein denied having any such opportunity ... then Howard rephrased, "You can't walk into the room, pull your pants off and say 'Okay, honey let's talk business.'"

It's pretty much exactly the scene dozens of Weinstein's accusers have described. Makes ya think Howard had heard what was Hollywood's worst-kept secret. From Seth MacFarlane's 2013 Oscar nominations joke to Courtney Love ... the allegations were hardly under wraps at that point.

Weinstein claimed he didn't do it, but said others in showbiz were still scoring sexual favors.

James Corden Sorry for the Bad Weinstein Jokes

Published | Updated

James Corden is apologizing for making light of the Harvey Weinstein scandal with tasteless jokes he made onstage ... and after Rose McGowan teared into him online.

Corden issued an apology Sunday saying "To be clear, sexual assault is no laughing matter. I was not trying to make light of Harvey’s inexcusable behavior, but to shame him, the abuser, not his victims. I am truly sorry for anyone offended, that was never my intention."

The "Late Late Show" star caught a ton of flak this weekend for jokes he cracked while hosting the amfAR Gala on Friday in L.A.

Corden's comments were met with a lot of groans and little laughs, but he persisted and kept the offensive Weinstein jokes coming through the night. One of his biggest critics was Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan, who called Corden a "MOTHERF****** PIGLET" on Twitter.

If there's one thing we've learned this week ... it's that Rose knows no filter ... and takes no prisoners on the subject of Weinstein. Seems Corden knows that all too well now.

Lana Del Rey Don't Believe Your Ears ... My Sexy Song's Not About Weinstein

Published | Updated

Lana Del Rey's 2012 track about preferring older men is NOT about Harvey Weinstein ... despite what people's ears are leading them to believe.

Lana's song, "Cola," features the lyrics ... "I got a taste for men who are older / It's always been, so it's no surprise," and is followed by the line, "Harvey's in the sky with diamonds and he's making me crazy" -- or so people think.

Even the top search results for the lyrics back up what people think, that the song references Harvey.

Sources close to Del Rey tell us the song is not linked to Weinstein or any Harvey for that matter. They say the actual lyrics go this way ... "Ah he's in the sky with diamonds." We've checked the album's digital booklet ... and the lyrics reference "Ah he's," not "Harvey."

Listen for yourself ... sure sounds like there's a "v" sound.

Drake Bell Quit Throwing Stuff, Punk Kids ... I Will Stop This Concert!!!

Published | Updated

Drake Bell got totally pissed off at a crowd of high schoolers who hurled balls at him -- then fired back at them with a tongue-lashing worthy of your old homeroom teacher.

The "Drake & Josh" star's band was rocking the Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte when the crowd got restless, and cleaned out a nearby ball pit. Sources at the school tell us Drake opened with songs from his new album which nobody knew. Major party foul for the kids, who started firing the balls onstage.

The video's hysterical ... DB reached his boiling point while playing the "Drake & Josh" theme, and whipped a ball back at the crowd -- then stopped the show to shame them.

Future advice for Drake: play the hits, bro. Just the hits.

Mexican Soap Star Eduardo Yanez Under Criminal Investigation For Slapping Reporter

Published | Updated

Mexican soap star Eduardo Yanez is under criminal investigation for viciously slapping a reporter during a red carpet event ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us, Univision reporter Paco Fuentes filed a police report with the LAPD, claiming assault and battery.

The slap was captured on video. Yanez lost it after Fuentes tried shaming him by saying his son had to set up a GoFundMe account to pay for car repairs because Yanez wouldn't. Yanez and his son have a strained relationship that became very public back in June after Yanez's son accused him on Twitter of being a drug addict, racist and woman abuser.

We're told the investigation is not complete. If charges are filed against Yanez and he's convicted, he would face a maximum of 6 months in jail.

Yanez apologized early Thursday saying, "I want to ask for a sincere apology to the public and to the person affected by my action. It was not right. My private life is not for sale."

NeNe Leakes Dropped from Xscape Tour Over Rape 'Joke' to Heckler

Published | Updated

NeNe Leakes will no longer be hosting the Xscape reunion tour after dropping a disgusting rape clapback at a heckler during one of her stand-up gigs.

Xscape released a statement Thursday morning saying they were "dismayed" by NeNe's remarks. Although NeNe apologized, Xscape emphasized they came to the decision as supporters of all women, and stand by all female rape victims.

They added, "This tour is for and about our fans and we want to provide an entertaining and enjoyable experience for every single person who attends." They also wished NeNe the best as she "navigates this very difficult period."

NeNe got booed last weekend in Oakland when she said she hoped a heckler got raped by their Uber driver.

The 'Real Housewives' star apologized later saying she regretted uttering the words, especially as she is an abuse victim herself.

Ben Affleck 'Groping' Was All On Camera and I Liked It ... Canadian Host Says

Published | Updated

Ben Affleck did NOTHING wrong by holding and caressing a TV host in 2004, 'cause it was nothing but a gag for cameras ... according to the woman herself.

We spoke to Anne-Marie Losique -- who was aggressively snuggled by Ben in the interview that surfaced amid the Harvey Weinstein scandal -- and she has zero gripes. She's aware many people see it as inappropriate, but stresses all of the heavy flirting ONLY happened on camera.

She says it was a thing she and Ben always did when she interviewed him. Anne-Marie adds ... when the camera was off, Ben was totally professional.

As we reported ... Ben apologized Wednesday to ex-'TRL' host Hilarie Burton for groping her breast in 2003. He's said nothing about the Anne-Marie clip, and based on everything she says ... there's no reason for him to do so.

THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY

O.T. Genasis went from 0-100 REAL QUICK after his car got dinged up at the club, and some guy handed him a knife to vent his fury.

We got O.T. Wednesday night leaving Project Club LA where he found his 2018 Rolls-Royce scratched and dented. Understandably, he was HOT as fish grease at the valet for blowing his "one job," and also at everyone in his crew.

And just as he started to calm down, some dude handed O.T. a blade to handle his biz! It's a crazy scene.

BTW ... turns out the scratch wasn't the valet's fault. There was a gunshot scare an hour earlier, and fleeing patrons knocked the doorman's stand into O.T.'s whip. Oops? We're told the club covered the damage.

RUN-IN WITH THE 5-0

Baby Bash fans can chill -- despite a video making it seem like he got pinched for smoking a joint, right in front of a cop ... there was no funny biz. Just show biz.

Baby tells TMZ he got hit up left and right by fans who'd seen him getting patted down
Tuesday night by an officer in L.A. -- but he assures us the scene they saw was all for a music video.

He says he was shooting a scene outside a dispensary for his new song, "Hey Rasta." Gotta love the plot -- a cop searches and arrests him for lighting up in front of 5-0. Baby's response is the best ... "It's just a little herb, Mr. Officer."

Hand that man an Oscar-shaped bong!

COPS CALLED

Harvey Weinstein's daughter called 911 to say her dad was suicidal Wednesday morning, and police responded ... TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement, Weinstein was at his 22-year-old daughter Remy's place when their argument spilled out onto the street. We're told Harvey yelled to her, "You're making it worse" ... and then flagged down a random vehicle driving past, begging for a ride.

We're told Remy convinced her father to go back in the house, and shortly thereafter -- around 10:30 AM -- LAPD and her alarm company showed up.

Law enforcement sources confirm officers responded to a call from Remy, who said her father was "suicidal and depressed." When they arrived ... Harvey had already left the home.

We're told when officers arrived Remy told them no suicidal statements were made, and it was purely a family dispute.

As of now, we're told Weinstein is still in L.A., but planning to fly out of town -- possibly to a rehab center -- before day's end.

Seth MacFarlane 2013 Weinstein Joke was Personal ... I was Angry for My Friend

Published | Updated

Seth MacFarlane says his joke about Harvey Weinstein at the 2013 Oscar Nominations wasn't just meant to be funny ... it was a deliberate shot at the Hollywood honcho on behalf of his friend, Jessica Barth.

MacFarlane claims Barth -- who he's worked with on "Family Guy" and the "Ted" films -- confided in him in 2011 about Weinstein's attempted advances ... and it pissed off Seth so much, he ripped Weinstein at the Oscar noms event.

He says ... "I couldn't resist the opportunity to take a hard swing in his direction. Make no mistake, this came from a place of loathing and anger. There is nothing more abhorrent and indefensible than abuse of power such as this."

As we reported ... MacFarlane joked about Weinstein's sordid reputation for making moves on actresses. Now, like countless other celebs, he's speaking out against Weinstein and commending the women who've come forward.

Tyrese Digs Up Old Rock Video Talking 'Dog S***' About 2015 Album

Published | Updated

Tyrese's doing everything he can to prove The Rock is a piece of s*** ... by posting a 2015 video of The Rock calling his album "dog s***."

The singer posted this video on Instagram Wednesday in which The Rock UNLOADS tons of crap on Tyrese's album, "Black Rose." The 2-year-old video and recent post is just the latest in the insane Tyrese-Rock feud over accusations Rock's a selfish co-star.

Watch ... Rock says he just finished listening to the album and says it's a "big piece of black dog s***" before walking away and calling him a motherf*****.

It reeks of sarcasm, but you never know with these two.
