2/16/2016 12:59 PM PST
Breaking News

Big Ang is fighting stage 4 cancer all on her own, and wants it that way -- she got emotional about ending her marriage during an appearance on 'Dr. Oz.'

The "Mob Wives" star revealed why she was splitting from Neil Murphy, husband of 6 years, and made it clear "it's too late" to repair the relationship.

As TMZ first reported ... Ang has been experiencing severe pain lately as she battles cancer, and her family is trying alternative treatments to manage the pain.

On Tuesday's episode of 'Oz,' she also said doctors have given her a 30 percent chance of survival.

'Mob Wife' Sues My Lawyer's a Screwup Who Cost Me My Jewels

2/16/2016 9:14 AM PST

"Mob Wives" star Ramona Rizzo can't get $154,000 worth of jewelry back from the feds because her lawyer's an "incompetent" idiot ... according to the lawsuit she just filed.

Rizzo says federal agents were gunning for her bf Joseph Sclafani in 2011 when they raided their home and took 42 pieces of her jewelry. Rizzo insists all of her stuff was legally obtained and the feds have no reason to hold it.

She hired Tim Parlatore to help her get the goods back, but says he bungled the mission by turning in paperwork late, and failing to tell her when the feds requested documentation to prove the jewelry wasn't ill gotten.

Rizzo says she could have recovered "a significant portion" of the jewelry had she known.

She's suing Parlatore for the $154k value of her jewelry, plus damages for the "sentimental" loss. BTW ... Sclafani eventually got 15 years for dealing drugs.

Unclear if she's sentimental about that loss.

2/11/2016 10:22 AM PST

The woman who was allegedly attacked by "Mob Wives" star Drita D'Avanzo says her family is now living in fear, terrified of Drita and her husband Lee.

Mary Bratti has provided TMZ with the full video of her and Drita exchanging blows on Tuesday. Bratti tells us the brawl got so heated she later passed out from pain, and a CT scan at the hospital revealed a minor concussion.

We broke the story, Drita was arrested on misdemeanor assault charges.

We're told the fight started over a parking spot -- Bratti says Lee D'Avanzo frequently uses her reserved spot outside her home. She also claims he's been harassing her since the fight. Bratti plans to request an order of protection, and she's having home security cameras installed.

Lee is an alleged mob associate (hence Drita's TV gig) who's done time for bank robberies and other crimes.

We've reached out to Drita, but no word back.

By the time the fight fizzled out, cops were on the scene and arrested the mob wife.

We're told she was cited for misdemeanor assault -- nothing too serious, unless you're the woman who got beat down.

Big Ang Chemo Not Working Trying Cannabis Oil

2/2/2016 4:16 PM PST
Exclusive Details

"Mob Wives" star Big Ang is in dire straits in her fight against stage 4 lung and brain cancer so her family is turning to marijuana as a last resort.

Ang didn't respond to the chemo treatments she started after the New Year, in fact her family says one of the tumors got bigger. Her sister Janine tells us Ang isn't on her deathbed, but her breathing is labored and she's in a lot of pain.

They've decided to try managing her pain with cannabis oil. Some patients believe the alternative treatment can even shrink tumors (that hasn't been scientifically proven) -- but it ain't cheap, going for as much as $60 per gram. The family is raising money via a GoFundMe page.

Ang is too tired to do anything, but Janine is hoping the cannabis oil will at least keep her pain-free.

Big Ang Please, Take My Husband … I’ll Take Your Divorcee

5/18/2015 11:04 AM PDT

Big Ang isn't going to let throat cancer surgery get in the way of her yucking it up with George Hamilton for the new season of "Wife Swap."

We got a pic of the "Mob Wives" star enjoying a polo match with her fellow swapee over the weekend. Weird thing is George is being shipped off by his ex-wife Alana Stewart ... to whom he hasn't been married for nearly 40 years. But reality TV beggars can’t be choosers.

While Big Ang's husband hit up the Big Apple with Alana, George and Ang enjoyed champagne and strawberries in the L.A. area.

As for the polo match ... we're sure Ang tried her best to humor George and learn the sport -- or at least to give a crap for one afternoon.

5/14/2015 4:24 PM PDT

Big Ang hit the Big Apple Wednesday night … a month and some change since having a nasty cancerous tumor removed from her throat.

Despite the intense surgery ... it's hard to see any scar, so it looks like the docs did good by the ‘Mob Wives’ star.

Ang gave our camera guy the low down on her road to cancer-freedom. It also looks like she's trying a new diet -- Ang posted a pic of herself hanging at Wild, a gluten-free Italian joint.

Big Ang ain't afraid of change.

Sources close to Ang tell us she lightened up before the surgery ... because she felt like she just needed a change after getting the cancer diagnosis.

Work it, Ang.

Big Ang Sister Makes Mea Culpa ... Sorry, I Hit Up Fans for Cash

4/17/2015 12:20 AM PDT

The sister of "Mob Wives" star Big Ang thought she was doing a good thing by creating a donation page for medical costs, but quickly had second thoughts ... and is now apologizing to Ang's fans.

Janine Detore says "Mob Wives" fans were reaching out and asking how and where they could make donations to help Ang cover bills for her throat cancer treatment. So, Janine created a GoFundMe page.

But after less than a day a fan wondered why a celeb was asking for money. Detore realized it was a good point. She tells us Ang and the fam can more than handle any expenses insurance doesn't cover -- so, she immediately disabled the page.

Detore says they only got about $150 during the few hours the page was active. She adds, Big Ang had no idea the page was ever up.

As for Ang's condition ... she's resting at home and doing very well -- but Janine says doctors are planning another surgery to remove her right lymph nodes ... as a precaution.

Ang's sister, Janine Detore, tells TMZ ... Ang went under the knife Tuesday for the eight hour procedure. In addition to the large tumor, doctors removed her left lymph nodes as a precaution.

Detore says Ang has been instructed by doctors not to speak for the next three days, but after that her voice should return to normal.

The family is praying the cancer hasn't spread ... they're waiting for the PET scan results.

"Mob Wives" star Big Ang received the news she was dreading -- the tumor on her throat is malignant.

Ang’s sister, Janine Detore, tells TMZ the tumor is on Ang's voicebox and her voice is deteriorating as a result. She says doctors determined the lemon-sized growth was cancerous after looking at it with a scope and running blood tests.

Janine says the family is awaiting results of another test to determine if the cancer has spread.

There's no history of cancer in the family, but Janine says they fear Ang's 42 years of smoking might have contributed. She adds ... doctors have ordered Ang to quit smoking immediately.

None of the ordeal has been filmed for "Mob Wives" ... but Janine says it might be addressed on the show at some point. Ang is scheduled to have surgery next week to remove the tumor.

Janine says, "We are hoping for the best and are focusing on getting through the holiday. We love the fans and want to thank them."

4/2/2015 7:39 AM PDT

According to our sources, earlier this week Ang was admitted to a Staten Island hospital where doctors will soon perform surgery to remove the tumor. We're told it is not yet known whether the tumor is cancerous.

Ang was scheduled to begin shooting for a different reality show, other than "Mob Wives," when she began experiencing the pain.

Ang appeared this past weekend at a reality TV event in New York City where she kept her neck covered up. It's unclear if she was experiencing pain at the time.
