'America's Got Talent' Golden Buzzer Singers Could Bank $1 Mill off Records

Angelica Hale and Angelina Green, the 10 and 13-year-old singers who earned the coveted Golden Buzzer on "America's Got Talent" this season, are both bound for the finals and if either gal wins, they could make $1 million just off records.

We got a hold of the contracts that detail their exclusive recording, publishing and merchandise deals with Syco, the entertainment company owned by Sony and Simon Cowell.

Here's the breakdown ... the winner gets a $100k advance off the bat for their first album. Those advances jump to $100k-$200k for the second album, $100k-$225k for the third, $100k-$250k for the fourth and $100k-$275k if there's a fifth LP made. And that doesn't even include royalties.

They won't be spending it all in one place though ... 15 percent gets stored away in a trust till they turn 18.

Mel B Insists She's Single, But ...

Mel B wanted to tell the world she's single ... but to paraphrase Bill Clinton, "single" doesn't always mean single.

Scary Spice -- in a jumpsuit probably better fitted for an 'X-Men' premiere -- gushed over an Air Force Academy group's performance on Tuesday's live "America's Got Talent" show at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

Check it out ... Mel dished her analysis before blurting out, "And yes ... I am so happy to be single right now."

A couple of things. She's still married to estranged husband Stephen Belafonte. And, as we reported ... Mel's dating a Beverly Hills cop and is head over heels for the guy. He's with her all the time.

It's the new single.

I'M LOVIN' IT
NBC

Mel B Life Imitates Art I'm Dating a Beverly Hills Cop!!!

Mel B is either smitten or paying homage to baby daddy Eddie Murphy, because she's dating the guy he played in one of his iconic movies ... a Beverly Hills cop.

Sources in the know tell us she's been seeing a guy on the Beverly Hills PD for a few months. She's moved at lightening speed ... splitting with husband Stephen only months before she started dating the officer.

They met through mutual friends. She started dating him immediately and it took only a matter of weeks before he was staying at her home 5 - 6 nights a week. She's nuts about him.

This is a little eerie. Our sources say one of the reasons she likes him around so much is that he carries a gun, and she's scared of estranged hubby Stephen Belafonte. TMZ broke the story, Mel B has a restraining order against Belafonte, and one of her concerns is that she says he has a gun he's not allowed to possess because of a prior crime.

They're keeping the relationship "low key" ... both for his sake and hers. We're told his life is "complicated." But that hasn't stopped him, however, for showing up to tapings of "America's Got Talent" -- in plain clothes. He has also accompanied her to a number of social engagements.

Not everyone in Mel B's life thinks it's a swell idea she's dating the guy ... partly because of him and partly because she just got out of a bad relationship.

Still ... there's something symmetrical about Mel B going for a Beverly Hills Cop.

Nick Cannon My Kid's Talent is all in the Genes ... Whose, Exactly?

CANNON KIDS GOT TALENT
TMZ.com

Nick Cannon says his and Mariah Carey's daughter is a natural born star 'cause her musical talent runs deep in her veins ... but it's unclear who he thinks passed it on.

We got Nick Wednesday in NYC, where we asked for his take on Monroe's stage performance next to her mom -- and his baby mama -- Mariah. He's not surprised she killed it ... like he says, it's in the genes.

LIKE MOTHER LIKE DAUGHTER

What he's not totally clear on is whose genes he's talking about. As you know ... Mimi's the singer in the fam. And, while Nick raps, he definitely doesn't have her pipes.

The former 'AGT' host also addresses his replacement, Tyra Banks. He punts on that one, claiming TV blindness.

'AGT' Contestant Dr. Brandon Rogers' Audition Airs After Death

"America's Got Talent" contestant Dr. Brandon Rogers was a gem of a talent before his tragic death ... as you can see in his audition episode, which just aired.

Dr. Rogers' family wanted the audition to run, showing the young doc humbly taking the stage only to wow the crowd and all 4 judges with a fantastic cover of Stevie Wonders' "Ribbon In The Sky."

He gets a standing O from the judges -- even Simon Cowell.

We broke the story ... Rogers was killed in a car accident last month after his friend fell asleep at the wheel and veered off the road.

He was 29. #RIP

'AGT' Winner Landau Murphy Jr. Arrested for Hitting Baby Mama With a Golf Club!

An "America's Got Talent" champ was arrested this week for domestic violence after he allegedly attacked his baby mama with a golf club.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. -- who won season 6 of 'AGT' -- was arrested Monday night in Whitman, West Virginia for misdemeanor domestic battery and domestic assault.

We're told they got into it when he told her he was leaving her ... which escalated into an argument about who would care for their 6-month-old baby. That's when Landau allegedly started slapping her and then struck her under her left eye with a golf club. The brawl spilled outside, where he allegedly slammed her head on the sidewalk.

She was treated at a hospital, and cops later arrested Landau. He was released the same night on a $3,500 bond.

As for Landau's side ... his manager says the fight was sparked when the singer came home and found his home trashed -- he claims by the girlfriend. He says she destroyed the house with a golf club ... then attacked him with the club and a knife. He claims he was only defending himself, and apologized for the incident.

'AGT' Contestant Dr. Rogers Died in Single Car Wreck ... 2 Others Survived

"America's Got Talent" contestant Dr. Brandon Rogers was riding in the front passenger seat of a car when it veered off the road, leading to his death ... TMZ has learned.

According to the Maryland State Troopers, officers responded around 4:30 AM Saturday for a car that had crashed into a tree. Brandon was one of 2 passengers in the vehicle, plus the driver.

Cops say the driver walked away unscathed, but both passengers were hospitalized. As we first reported ... Brandon died Sunday from his injuries.

His audition episode on 'AGT' has yet to air, and producers are undecided on whether they'll release it on schedule next month.

Cops say they're investigating the circumstances of the crash, but we're told drugs and alcohol were not involved.

'America's Got Talent' Standout Contestant Dead Episode Yet to Air

A standout contestant on "America's Got Talent" has died just weeks before his episode was scheduled to air ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the production tell us 29-year-old Dr. Brandon Rogers died over the weekend in a car accident. We're told the crash occurred in Maryland Saturday. Brandon was taken to a hospital where he died Sunday.

Brandon was a fantastic singer who was discovered by 'AGT' producers who saw him on Instagram covering Boyz II Men's hit song, "On Bended Knee." The band even shouted him out on social media, asking fans if they thought they should bring him on tour with them. Sure enough ... they did.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Production sources tell us no decision has been made on whether or not to run the episode. It's scheduled to air next month. The family tells TMZ they would love for the episode to air.

Howie Mandel I Got Your New Nanny, Mel B!

I'LL HELP HER THROUGH
TMZ.com

Howie Mandel thinks it's not too soon to joke about Mel B's divorce drama -- as evidenced by the nanny "news" he broke to us.

We got Howie heading into the Laugh Factory Wednesday night, and he told our photog it will be business as usual when "America's Got Talent" returns because he knows how to keep Mel B cracking up.

We'll see if she digs his nanny material, but if that doesn't work ... Howie says he's got a backup plan.

Btw, Howie was doing stand-up for a benefit last night. He definitely used our guy to warm up.

Tyra Banks Diva Warnings Go Up at 'AGT' and So Far ...

Tyra Banks' first week on the clock as "America's Got Talent" host has been a smooth transition from Nick Cannon ... despite fears her inner diva would be out in force.

Sources close to the show tell us ... TB's already building chemistry with the judges, who seem stoked to be working with her. She officially took over when taping started Monday in L.A., and we're told producers loved her over-the-top approach, which is "way different" from Nick.

That's no diss -- they say it's not that it's better. It's just a change.

The funny part -- we're told production assistants were warned of Tyra's rep as a diva, and told it's best to tread lightly. However, there's been none of that. So far.

1 week down. About 6 months to go.

Regis Philbin I Forgot I Hosted 'AGT'!!!

WISHIN' THE NEW GUY THE BEST
TMZ.com

Regis Philbin has done A LOT of TV over the years, so we gotta cut him a break that he just forgot about one big gig.

We got Rege at LAX Friday and asked about the Nick Cannon replacement for 'AGT'. The 85-year-old hosted Season 1 back in 2006. He was replaced by Jerry Springer who hosted for 2 years and then it was all Nick.

Joy is there with her longtime hubby's CV at the ready!

Tyra Banks New Host of 'AGT' Third Time's a Charm

Tyra Banks will be the new host of "America's Got Talent" ... this after multiple attempts to hire a comedian failed.

Tyra was not on the radar after Nick Cannon quit. The top 3 candidates were Marlon Wayans, Brandon Mychal Smith and Tone Bell. Marlon was asking for more loot than producers would pay, and then Brandon was tapped but we're told some of the honchos just weren't down with it.

Filming was supposed to begin last week, but Mel B had a death in the family ... so it was put on hold, rendering the show hostless.

Howie Mandel posted a video Sunday announcing the news, and Tyra confirmed it as well. She just finished her long-time gig on "America's Next Top Model."

So finally ... someone everyone agreed on. Season 12 is off and running.

WE'RE SUPER STOKED!

Marlon Wayans AGT Replacement Not About Race NBC Wanted 'A Like Smile'

IT'S NOT ABOUT THAT
TMZ.com

Marlon Wayans says NBC's decision to replace Nick Cannon on "America's Got Talent" with another black guy has nothing to do with race, but the question ... is Marlon talking code?

We got the comedian Friday night at Catch, and he tells our camera guy that replacing Nick with someone like Brandon Mychal Smith is strictly a numbers game, and that race isn't even in the equation.

So what did Marlon mean when he says NBC was just looking for someone with "a like smile?"

BTW ... we broke the story, NBC wanted Marlon for the "AGT" gig but they couldn't agree on price.

Brandon Mychal Smith Tapped for 'AGT' After Marlon Wayans Negotiations Fizzle

Brandon Mychal Smith is all but signed to be the next host of "America's Got Talent" ... this after negotiations with Marlon Wayans fell apart over money.

Multiple sources connected with the show tell TMZ, the deal is not done but it will happen soon, possibly in the next day.

We're told Marlon was first choice ... in no small part because he's a major name and has a history with the show as a guest judge. Our sources say reps for both sides went back and forth several days ago but Marlon wanted more than the network was willing to pay.

Brandon -- who's hysterical as a rapper on "You're the Worst" -- will cost way less, but one source said the other advantage is that he will become part of the show in a more seamless way than Marlon, who has an extremely strong brand independent of the show.

One source warns these deals sometimes fall apart at the very end, but it looks like Brandon will get the gig.

As we reported, Nick Cannon quit the show after a dispute with NBC. Nick groused he was reined in and the network tried to homogenize him.

Brandon T. Jackson Taking Nick Cannon's 'AGT' Gig 'That's Sambo Stuff'

I'M NO SELLOUT
TMZ.com

Nick Cannon's 'AGT' replacement will get painted as a "Sambo," as far as Brandon T. Jackson is concerned.

Brandon was leaving La Scala in Bev Hills Tuesday when our photog asked if he'd be interested in taking the gig since Nick has quit. He couldn't be stronger.

Nick and Brandon go way back ... the 'Percy Jackson' star was featured on a season of Nick's "Wild 'N Out."

We broke the story ... 3 black comedians are in line to fill the hosting slot ... Marlon Wayans, Tone Bell and Brandon Mychal Smith.

BTW ... Brandon took a swipe at Ben Carson, whom he apparently thinks is in NBC's sweet spot.

Marlon Wayans 'AGT' Is Great But ... I'm WAY 'Too Black'

I'M ON MY OWN ISH
AKM-GSI

Marlon Wayans seems flattered to be a front-runner for Nick Cannon's old "America's Got Talent" gig, but thinks they'd have to address one BIG, black, elephant in the room first.

We broke the story ... 'AGT' producers have narrowed down their search to Marlon, Tone Bell and Brandon Mychal Smith. Marlon says he's focused on other projects like his TV show, but realizes hosting 'AGT' would be huge.

As for filling Nick's shoes ... Marlon says that would be the easiest part of the job, literally. He's a little worried about exec's concerns that Nick was "too black." Remember, that's why he walked away ... and Marlon says they got the wrong brotha if they think he'll ease those concerns.
