Dez Bryant is getting some major support from one of his former Dallas Cowboys coaches ... who tells TMZ Sports the rumors of an alleged Ray Rice-style tape are complete B.S.

We spoke with Rob Ryan -- the defensive coordinator for the Cowboys in 2011 and 2012 -- who's adamant there's NO tape. Period.

"That's a bunch of bull," Ryan told us ... "Dez is an awesome guy. He's a great competitor and probably the best receiver in football."

Ryan is currently working for the New Orleans Saints -- but he's still very plugged in with the Cowboys.

As for Dez, his family believes someone is trying to sabotage his NFL future by going pubic with rumors of an alleged tape.

Dez Bryant's mom says she's buried the hatchet with her son over the 2012 domestic violence incident and loves him very much -- but says she's convinced someone is trying to use Dez's past to sabotage his NFL future.

TMZ Sports spoke with a rep for Angela Bryant ... who tells us, "Ever since the 2012 incident, they have worked out their issues and they've got a lot of love for each other."

As we previously reported, Dez was arrested for allegedly assaulting his mom during an argument in her Texas home ... though the charge was eventually dismissed.

"Angela and her son have a great relationship and whoever is behind this is using [Dez's past in an] attempt to assassinate Dez's character."

The rep says Dez and his mother have been speaking regularly about the current situation -- and, "They believe it is no coincidence that this is happening around the time that [Dez's] contract is up for renewal."

Angela's rep says she believes ... "It comes down to someone trying to interfere with Dez getting his contract extended from the Cowboys."

Dez Bryant's mom sat in front of a camera and told cops the NFL star roughed her up, threatened her and ripped her shirt during a 2012 incident in Texas ... and TMZ Sports has the interview video.

Dez was arrested for assault following the incident ... but the charge was eventually dropped when Dez cut a deal with prosecutors -- which required the NFL star to stay out of trouble for the following year (he did).

But in the video, Bryant's mother Angela describes a heated exchange between herself and Dez -- which started when Dez "was trying to fight my brother."

Angela says she tried to stop Dez -- and warned him that he was going to get in trouble with the Dallas Cowboys -- but she claims he only got angrier and turned the rage on her.

After allegedly grabbing her, smacking her with his baseball cap and tearing her shirt ... Angela says Dez "started talking about how he's going to knock me out."

Angela says she wanted to contact Jerry Jones to discuss the incident -- so he could help Bryant moving forward.

The cop at the scene said he didn't see any blood or bruising on Angela -- but pics were taken for police records.

We reached out to Dez and Angela for comment -- no word back from either side.

Dez Bryant was questioned by Texas police in 2011 regarding an alleged incident in a Wal-Mart parking lot where a woman was allegedly pulled out of a vehicle by a black male ... but cops determined Dez did not commit a crime ... this according to the police report.

The police report just surfaced ... in the wake of rumors of an alleged video featuring Dez doing something terrible. So far, there is still no video, but Thursday morning a never-before-seen police report finally became public.

The report, from July 11, 2011, shows someone went to Wal-Mart security and said they witnessed a black man drag a woman out of a car around 6 AM. The victim is listed as Ilyne Nash -- Dez Bryant's long-time girlfriend and mother of two of his children.

In the report, first published by NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, cops say a car registered to Bryant was at the scene in the parking lot ... and Dez later arrived to the scene in another car WITH the alleged victim.

In the report, cops say they interviewed several people at the scene, including Bryant, but determined no crime had been committed.

According to the report, Nash did say she got into an argument with another man ... a guy named Alex Penson ... but was adamant she was not assaulted or injured in any way.

The report does not make note of any visible injuries to Nash.

Nash says after the argument, she went to a friend's house ... and contacted Dez to pick her up ... and that's why they were ultimately together when they returned to the Wal-Mart.

In the report cops say, "After speaking with all parties involved, it was determined that there was no offense. All parties were advised they were free to go."

The police report makes NO mention of the video.

Dez Bryant says he's been betrayed ... but he's not saying by whom ... or how.

In the wake of rumblings that a tape exists showing Bryant doing something terrible ... a tape everyone's talking about but no one says they've seen ... Bryant went to Twitter to express his frustration.

"I need to get me a real raw uncut tv show or something ... I can't continue to get betrayed like this."

It's the second time Bryant has addressed the rumors.

Last week, he posted another cryptic statement that reads ... "Just quit with the b.s. … It’s clear as day what's going on… I might need to do a exclusive interview about my life these past 5 years since the world is destined to know."

"I use to let people take advantage of my life now that I’m no longer allowing that to happen it seems to be a problem… I’m not ashamed of none of my past incidents because that’s what made me who I am today."

When the judge announced that Eddie Ray Routh was found guilty of murdering "American Sniper" Chris Kyle Tuesday night ... his wife was comforted in court by a famous friend, ex-NFL star Jay Novacek.

Novacek -- who was a 5-time Pro Bowl tight end for the Dallas Cowboys in the '90s -- has become close with Kyle's family ... and attended the reading of the verdict in the Erath County, TX courtroom.

Jay's wife first met Chris' widow, Taya Kyle, at a gun convention not long after Chris was killed -- and the two have been dear friends ever since. The two families also attend the same church.

Jay's wife has also praised Taya for being there for her after she was injured in a car accident last year.

"The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison tells TMZ Sports he has a job for Dez Bryant next year if the Cowboys don't pay up ... handing out roses to thirsty co-eds as the next "Bachelor"!!

Harrison was freezing his butt off in NYC (we love you, L.A.) when our camera guy asked if there was an ideal pro athlete who could take over the lead role for next season.

It's not a crazy question ... considering the show has featured several athletes in prior seasons including football player Jesse Palmer, soccer stud Juan Pablo Galavis, and baseball pro Josh Murray.

Jerry, dig deep into your wallet ... 'cause this isn't a half bad idea.

Ex-Oklahoma RB Brennan Clay -- who famously accused ex-OU teammate DeMarco Murray of banging his wife -- was arrested for assault after allegedly terrorizing his spouse ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We've learned ... Clay was arrested in Dallas County, TX on January 27th after his estranged wife Gina told cops he kicked down her door and proceeded to beat the crap out of her.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, Gina claimed Clay threw her on the kitchen counter, dragged her downstairs, dragged her through shrubbery and then began to choke her.

Gina says he brought her back into the house and "began punching and throwing her around the residence."

Eventually, Gina was able to call police ... and when they arrived, officers noticed her right leg was bleeding with several cuts. They later located Clay in a nearby alley and arrested him for assault.

Clay filed for divorce a few months ago after accusing Gina of sleeping with Murray ... an allegation that Murray adamantly denied. Clay eventually recanted his accusation and apologized.

Dallas Cowboys star Orlando Scandrick LOVES the team -- but tells us when it comes to his wedding day, he won't be tying the knot in Jerry's World.

Orlando was out in Hollywood Tuesday night with his reality star GF Draya Michele -- the self-proclaimed "sexiest couple ever" -- when we started talking marriage.

But when we asked if a 50-yard line ceremony was in their future -- they both shot the idea down hard ... unlike Steelers legend Hines Ward, who recently got married at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

For the record, weddings at AT&T Stadium in Dallas are super popular ... and they ain't cheap.

In fact, we're told it costs $15,000 to rent the field ... PLUS a $50,000 food and beverage minimum.

One Cowboys source told us when it's all said and done, the average field wedding is about $85,000.

The NFL is exploding in Europe -- and there could be a team there in the next 5 years ... but not everyone in the league is jumping at the chance to work overseas.

Just ask Dallas Cowboys superstar Orlando Scandrick ... who tells TMZ Sports he loves to travel and vacation in Europe, but if it ever came to working there full time -- it's just not for him.

His reality star GF Draya Michele isn't as opposed to it ... in fact, she was pretty pumped at the thought of moving to Paris or Milan!

But Scandrick says if it were up to him, he'd spend the rest of his career in Big D -- telling us he loves everything about the city ... from the fans to the ownership.

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle tried to pay his baby mama $20k to abort their child ... but she turned him down ... so says Randle's ex who's now going after the NFL player for child support.

TMZ Sports has learned ... Dalia Jacobs has filed court docs in Kansas demanding Randle fork over more than $5k-per-month to help pay for their 1-year-old son.

Jacobs says Randle has barely been involved in the kid's life ... and made it clear from the start he was not supportive of the pregnancy.

"When she told him she was pregnant, he offered her $5,000 ... then $10,000 ... followed by $20,000 to have the child aborted," Dalia's attorney Charlie O'Hara tells TMZ Sports.

Dalia obviously rejected the offer ... and says their relationship has a been a nightmare ever since.

In fact, it was Dalia who called police from a hotel in Wichita last weekend claiming Randle had a gun and was in fear for her life. Randle was arrested for marijuana possession (that charge has since been dropped) but cops are still investigating the allegations of domestic violence.

Could Dallas Cowboys star Orlando Scandrick become a bathing suit model???

The answer is "yes" if it's up to his reality star girlfriend Draya Michele ... who tells TMZ Sports she's planning on launching a men's swimsuit line -- and only has ONE guy on her mind when it comes to modeling her stuff.

There's just one problem ... Draya knows Orlando ain't too keen when it comes to off-the-field publicity -- but the "Basketball Wives" star (and fashion designer) says she can be pretty convincing when she wants to be.

Emmitt Smith's accused of being a total asphalt -- and screwing a concrete supply company out of nearly $50k worth of cement ... this according to a new lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports.

Smith -- besides being a NFL legend -- is also the head of Emmitt Smith Enterprises which is the parent company to EJ Smith Supply ... a construction company based in Dallas.

But according to a new lawsuit, EJ Smith ordered $46,448.65 in product from Redi-Mix Concrete last summer -- and never forked over the cash.

Now Redi-Mix is going after the dough ... and they've personally named Emmitt in the lawsuit ... as well as EJ Smith Supply.

9:14 AM PT -- Cops tell TMZ Sports ... the woman who initially called police claimed Randle had a gun in the hotel room and was "being out of control."

However, when cops got to the scene ... we're told no gun was found.

As for the woman, we're told she did not have any injuries -- and Randle was not arrested for any kind of assault.

Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested in Kansas Wednesday morning ... after cops say the 23-year-old had weed in his hotel room.

FYI -- Randle is the same guy who was busted for stealing underwear and cologne from a Dallas department store a few months ago.

According to law enforcement, cops were called to a hotel in Wichita after the mother of Randle's child called police around 3AM to report a domestic incident between them.

When cops arrived, they found weed -- and popped Randle for misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Talk about holding a grudge ... country music superstar Travis Tritt says he REFUSES to root for the Dallas Cowboys ever again -- all because of something that went down 26 years ago.

Tritt was leaving Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills Monday night when he told us he's still bitter at Jerry Jones for the way he axed legendary head coach Tom Landry back in 1989.

FYI -- Jones had JUST bought the team when he rushed in and blew out the entire Cowboys coaching staff ... a move Landry (and scores of Dallas fans) felt was completely disrespectful.

Who says the Cowboys can't close?

DeMarco Murray just popped the question to his longtime GF Heidi Mueller ... and good news for the running back, she said 'Yes.'

Mueller famously portrayed Kay Bennett Crane on "Passions."

DeMarco and Heidi have a daughter together.

It's the first in a series of big moves for the Dallas star -- who's set to become an unrestricted free agent in a couple of weeks and may have to leave Big D if the Cowboys don't come up with a big contract offer.
