A young actor from the party movie, "Project X" just dodged a bullet ... he won't be charged with battery after his arrest for domestic violence ... TMZ has learned.

The L.A. County D.A.'s Office won't file criminal battery charges against Nick Nervies ... because it says there isn't enough evidence to prove he roughed up his girlfriend.

TMZ broke the story ... the 18-year-old actor was cuffed and taken to jail last month after an argument with his girlfriend turned violent. Cops say she had minor injuries ... but nothing serious.

Bruce Jenner is a simple man who likes simple things, and Kris is the exact opposite, which is why, according to a very connected family source, Bruce finally said, "F**k this s**t" and he moved to Malibu.

Several family sources all confirm ... Bruce has always been "a simple man" who likes 3 things -- golf, racing cars and RC helicopters. He has always shunned the "Hollywood life" and it makes him extremely uncomfortable.

Kris -- in case you didn't know -- is ambitious ... some say to a fault. One family source put it this way: "She's on a freight train and Bruce finally wanted off."

We're told Kris wasn't the one who wanted Bruce to move out, because it wasn't good for the show or the Kardashian brand. It was Bruce who just got sick of it. It wasn't that he was bossed around or got into big fights with Kris -- it's just that he wasn't happy around her.

Aside from his hobbies, Bruce is now obsessed with re-establishing a relationship with his sons, Brandon and Brody, who were raised by their mom Linda Thompson and her then hubby David Foster. We're told Bruce and his boys now have "an adult relationship" and are finally getting along -- and that's what is making him happy.

Adam "Pacman" Jones was found not guilty today of punching a woman at an Ohio nightclub ... and surveillance video of the whole confrontation may be what saved his frequently arrested ass.

A judge ruled in Jones' favor in the misdemeanor assault case stemming from the June 5 incident ... where he appeared to punch, or at least slap, the alleged victim as she stood in an outdoor area of the club.

But the attorney for the Cincinnati Bengals cornerback argued Jones was only acting in self-defense because the woman had hit him with a beer bottle.

The surveillance video clearly shows her making the first move -- and although prosecutors claimed Jones started everything by calling the woman and her friends "fat and ugly" ... that wasn't enough to convict.

Translation -- the judge told the woman to follow 3rd grade rules: Sticks and stones ...

The photog Kanye West attacked at LAX is NOT willing to commit to staying away from the rapper, as the judge requested ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... the judge in the criminal battery case told the prosecutor Monday to get in touch with the alleged victim -- Daniel Ramos -- and ask him to stay clear of Kanye and not provoke him. The judge also ordered Kanye to stay 10 yards away from Ramos.

Kanye's lawyer, Blair Berk, told the judge Ramos had been "stalking" and harassing Kanye in the past, and she had great concern he would continue doing it ... and that appears to be why the judge asked the prosecutor to reach out to Ramos.

So we just reached out to Ramos, who told us he had to consult his civil lawyer, Gloria Allred. We called Ramos back a while later and he simply said "no comment."

It's interesting ... because in Ramos' civil suit against Kanye, he claims the attack caused him "physical and nervous pain and suffering."

Doesn't seem that nervous ...

TMZ has obtained video proving Braylon Edwards didn't just attack a man outside of a Detroit nightclub this weekend ... he delivered one of the biggest CHEAP SHOTS we've ever seen.

The video begins with the 6'3", 218-pound unemployed wide receiver chewing out a photog who allegedly shot footage of Braylon pushing someone else around outside the nightclub.

After Braylon screams at the guy, the photog starts to walk away ... but Braylon chased after him, and while the photog had his back turned, Braylon reached down and ripped his ankles out from under him ... sending the photog flying face first into the pavement.

The photog eventually got up and headed to a nearby police station, where he filed a battery report against the 30-year-old.

As for the extent of his injuries, we're told the photog denied medical attention, claiming he only suffered minor injuries.

After the incident, Braylon adamantly denied ANY WRONGDOING ... tweeting, "The reports are blasphemy. Was joking with friends and a guy was filming us. I asked him to delete it, he said no. He wasn't harmed at all."

Braylon's rep initially told TMZ ... the photog concocted the story in a shameless attempt to "take Braylon's money."

The photog tells TMZ ... he's pissed about the situation and plans to pursue his case all the way through.

Kanye West was just ordered to stay 10 yards away from the photog he attacked at LAX, but prosecutors got shut down when they asked that Kanye attend anger management classes ... TMZ has learned.

Blair Berk -- considered one the most effective criminal defense lawyers in the country who reps tons of celebs -- appeared in court on Kanye's behalf to ask the judge to make prosecutors fork over all of the info they have in their criminal battery case.

The judge ordered that the info be turned over, and then told prosecutors they should advise the photog -- Daniel Ramos -- to also stay away from Kanye. The judge said everyone involved should NOT use "self-help" -- aka, inciting and ass-whooping.

But then ... prosecutors asked the judge to order Kanye to attend anger management classes as a condition of bail. The judge scoffed, and rejected the request.

Berk is an interesting selection for Kanye because she's known for getting things done under the radar ... something foreign to his baby mama and her relatives.

Kanye needs a Houdini because sources tell us prosecutors have 7 videos showing the attack from virtually every angle.

As far as lawyers who are up to the task ... he chose right.

NFL free agent Braylon Edwards has been named in a battery report -- after a photog told cops the ex-49er grabbed him by the ankles outside a Detroit nightclub ... and shook him upside down, TMZ has learned.

A rep for the Detroit PD tells us ... the guy who filed the report claims he shot video of Braylon pushing someone outside a club in Downtown Detroit -- and that's when things turned ugly.

Edwards allegedly told the photog he needed to look at the video -- but when he refused ... Braylon flipped him upside down Suge Knight style to the concrete.

The victim refused medical attention because he only had minor injuries ... and luckily, he held onto the phone containing the video.

Olympic hurdler Lashinda Demus -- who won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics -- says her husband tried to strangle her and threatened to kill her ... and she's now desperate for protection ... TMZ has learned.

Demus just got a temporary restraining order against her husband, Jamel Mayrant -- who was arrested and jailed a couple of weeks ago for domestic violence. She claims the attack left her with bruises and a lump on her head.

The restraining order also protects their twin 6-year-old boys and her parents -- because she claims he threatened all of them as well.

Demus also claims her husband is trashing her and damaging her career, saying in court docs, "I'm a professional athlete ... so I need no derogatory emails, pictures, texts, phone calls released about me on the web or to other people."

Kanye West is getting on an airplane right now ... bound for the airport that has triggered multiple run-ins with the paparazzi and 2 criminal prosecutions ... TMZ has learned.

Kanye left Milan early this morning and landed in Newark. He's about to board a plane for LAX and our sources say he will leave the terminal and walk right into the always-present paparazzi frenzy -- by his choice.

Kanye has told friends it's too much of a hassle to fly out of his way to avoid LAX. When he left for Paris, he took a private jet to San Francisco and picked up an international flight. As we reported, his reps wanted him to avoid LAX because they didn't want to give prosecutors in his pending criminal case more ammo, in case another confrontation erupts.

Kanye is determined to remain cool, regardless of how the photogs act. But he's also hedging his bets. He's spending a couple of grand for 3 security people to flank him as he leaves the airport.

11:45 AM PT: The D.A.'s Office says the man never saved the loogie claiming it was a clerical error.

Justin Bieber is in the clear ... the L.A. County District Attorney just REJECTED 2 cases targeting the singer -- the case in which he allegedly SPIT on his neighbor, and the case in which he allegedly was speeding recklessly in his Calabasas neighborhood.

As for the spitting case -- get this. The alleged victim actually SAVED THE LOOGIE. But that wasn't enough for a prosecution. The D.A. says it was one guy's word against another, and Justin denied hawking a big one.

The D.A. says during the altercation, the neighbor told cops Bieber said, "I will beat the s**t out of you and I will f**king kill you." D.A. investigators decided Bieber's actions were "disproportionate and immature, but since the neighbor had entered the property without invitation Bieber's actions did not rise to the level of a criminal threat."

As for the speeding case, it all came down to the video tape ... which shows Justin was not even in the Ferrari in question at the time of the incident. He was riding behind the car on a motorcycle.

The D.A. also notes Tyler, the Creator actually took responsibility on TMZ for driving the car. So case closed.

Lots happened this week ... Kanye West's beef with photogs intensified while Lamar Odom fell even deeper into a dark hole. So we gotta ask ...

Prosecutors in the Kanye West battery case want jurors to see all the videos of Kanye attacking photogs ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected with the case tell TMZ ... the L.A. City Attorney believes Kanye has an M.O. -- when confronted by the paparazzi ... ATTACK. They believe what Kanye did at LAX on July 19th (see video above) -- allegedly battering a photog and trying to steal his camera -- is what he typically does ... and they want the jury to see 4 other incidents to prove their point (see videos below).

-- Friday's 4 AM incident at Kanye's Hollywood Hills home, where he went nuclear on the photogs, whom he claims were trespassing

-- July 12th: Kanye ordered a TMZ photog not to talk to him or anyone he knew, and then grabbed the camera

-- March 10th: Kanye went nuts on a photog shortly after he ran into a metal sign in Bev Hills

-- September 11, 2008: Kanye went postal on a photog at LAX. Criminal charges were filed, but later dropped after Kanye paid for the damage

Kanye West went nuclear again on the paparazzi -- but this time Kanye has good reason to be pissed.

Kanye was at his bachelor pad at 4 AM, when several photogs (not TMZ) approached him as he was getting in his car to leave .... and asked about his feud with Jimmy Kimmel.

It appears Kim is also there. Sources say he and Kim were on their way to the airport with the final stop -- Paris.

Take a look at the video. An infuriated Kanye lunges at the photog but it does not appear there is any physical contact.

It looks as if the photogs are very close to Kanye's driveway -- but the photo agency insists they did not trespass.

Former NFL star and ESPN analyst Hugh Douglas was arrested for the assault of a woman in Connecticut, and TMZ has the mug shot.

The alleged incident went down in a Marriott hotel in Hartford ... and the woman involved claims the former all-pro defensive end "grabbed her by the neck" and slammed her into the walls of the room several times.

Douglas - who played for the Eagles, Jets, and Jaguars during his NFL career -- was arrested on Tuesday and booked for third degree assault and second degree strangulation. He told police the alleged violence was just rough sex.

Kanye West has been instructed to stay clear of the paparazzi at LAX ... to the point of flying hundreds of miles out of his way to avoid fresh confrontations ... TMZ has learned.

Kanye -- who has been flying frequently -- is finding all sorts of round-about ways of getting from L.A. to various destinations.

One thing's clear ... getting into another paparazzi confrontation at LAX will be disastrous for his pending criminal case. TMZ broke the story ... Kanye is being charged with battery and attempted grand theft for allegedly attacking a yappy photog.

So, for example, we found out ... Kanye and Kim Kardashian are going to Paris later this week, but they will be flying to another airport via private jet, where they will pick up a non-stop commercial flight to gay Paree.

We're told the private jet for the first leg will cost Kanye $5,000. We're guessing he can afford it.

Tommy Lee went LIVE WIRE Sunday night in Vegas -- all over Nic Cage's son Weston -- with bloodbath potential.

Nic and Weston were at the Mötley Crüe show at the Hard Rock Sunday night ... hanging out backstage with Vince Neil after the show. We're told when Tommy tried entering his dressing room ... Weston blocked his path -- it appears it was unintentional.

Tommy tried to shove past Weston ... telling him to get the f**k out of his way. Our sources say Weston then went nuclear, screaming and swearing at Tommy and challenging him to a fight.

Tommy then came unhinged ... getting in Weston's face and screaming at ear-piercing levels.

Just before certain violence was about to erupt, Mötley Crüe's security moved in and removed Weston and Nic from the immediate area.

This isn't the first time Weston's been down for a brawl ... the last time.. he got his ass whooped.
