Celebrity dermatologist Dr. Alex Khadavi is under investigation by a governing body of medical professionals ... following his homophobic rant.
A spox for the Medical Board of California tells TMZ ... they're aware of Dr. Khadavi's recent episode and are reviewing it to see if any disciplinary action is warranted.
As for what that punishment could include ... the board wouldn't speak specifically to Khadavi's case, but did say the range of possibilities include everything from public reprimand to license revocation when it comes to violating the standards of patient care. Of course, Khadavi's incident didn't involve patient care, but was disturbing nonetheless.
The Board also pointed out Dr. Khadavi has no record of discipline on his license at this time.
As we reported ... Khadavi was caught on camera having a meltdown in the lobby of his apartment complex -- where he made homophobic comments, including using the f-word. He appeared to be fuming over a couple of neighbors.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
The neighbors -- a gay couple -- filed for a restraining order over this ... claiming they'd been told Khadavi had made mention of wanting to kill them, and that he also allegedly once flashed a gun at the concierge, seemingly to show he was packing and meant business.
Seeing how threats of violence have been alleged -- there's a criminal side to this story too. In the fallout from this rant from earlier this month, law enforcement sources tell TMZ an investigation is already underway, and cops are deciding if charges will be sent to the D.A.

Dua Lipa to DaBaby 'Horrified' By Your Homophobic Rant!!! ... Clothing Line Drops Him
7:00 AM PT -- 7/28 -- The clothing company, Boohoo, has now sent DaBaby packing. Boohoo announced it has cut ties with the rapper following his so-called apology. The clothing company said, again, it condemns the use of homophobic language but this time it confirms it'll no longer be working with DaBaby.
3:59 PM PT -- DaBaby's issued an apology of sorts to people affected by HIV and AIDS, calling his comments "insensitive" but saying he didn't mean to offend anyone ... and that's pretty much where his contrition ends.
The rapper's offering no apology to "any brands, networks, or artists that like to profit off of black rappers influence on the culture," claiming they don't understand "what comes with the position we play in our culture" ... and telling them to keep their money next time.
Earlier, DaBaby tweeted of his controversy, "I tell fans to put a cellphone light in the air y’all start a million man March." He added ... "Now show this same amount of support when a racist cop kill one of our black ass…YA NOT."
He concluded, "Other than that y’all cheer the f**k up & be proud of who you are cuz you can’t make me feel less of myself."
1:37 PM PT -- The clothing company, Boohoo -- which has a collaboration with DaBaby -- is also speaking out against his comments, saying it "condemns the use of homophobic language" and is reviewing its relationship with him.
Boohoo adds that it supports the LGBTQ+ community, saying ... "diversity and inclusion are part of our core values and we pride ourselves on representing the diverse customers we serve across the globe."
Dua Lipa says she's "surprised and horrified" by DaBaby's anti-gay and sexist diatribe during his set at Rolling Loud ... she says it doesn't sound like the artist she thought she knew.
Dua Lipa, who worked on a song with DaBaby last year, just responded to his homophobic rant ... saying she can't believe he's spewing all that hate.
DL says "I don't really recognize this as the person I worked with" ... alluding to their 2020 collab on the song, "Levitating."
7/25/21
As we reported ... DaBaby told folks in the Rolling Loud crowd to put up their cell phone lights, encouraging them to do so in a very disturbing way by telling them ... "If you didn't show up today with HIV/AIDS or other STDs that'll make you die in 2-3 weeks" and "Fellas, if you didn't suck a n**** d*** in the parking lot."
DaBaby tried clearing up the vile comments following tons of backlash, posting a video where he claims the words weren't directed at his gay fans because his gay fans aren't "nasty gay n****s" or "junkies." In other words, he only made things worse.
Dua Lupa makes a clear distinction between her values and DaBaby's rant ... saying she stands "100% with the LGBTQ community" and calling on folks to come together to fight the ignorance and stigma around HIV and AIDS.

DaBaby Tries to Defend Homophobic Rant ... With More Disgusting Comments
DaBaby just attempted to explain why he went on an anti-gay and sexist diatribe during his set at Rolling Loud ... by now saying his gay fans don't have HIV/AIDS because they're not "nasty gay n****s" or "junkies."
ICYMI, the rapper performed at RL over the weekend, and at one point encouraged the crowd to put their cell phone lights up in a very disturbing way ... telling fans to put their phones up, "If you didn't show up today with HIV/AIDS or other STDs that'll make you die in 2-3 weeks" and "Fellas, if you didn't suck a n**** d*** in the parking lot."

The rapper attempted to clear up his vile comments Monday, posting a video and claiming his words weren't directed at his gay fans because they're not "nasty gay n****s" or "junkies" and they take care of themselves.
We reached out to festival organizers, but they've been radio silent.
Earlier in his set at RL ... DaBaby also pissed some fans off -- namely, Megan Thee Stallion fans -- when he revealed his surprise guest was Tory Lanez.
Meg had just performed before DaBaby, and in case you forgot ... Lanez is accused of shooting her in the foot after leaving a party last summer. Clearly, many folks think this was deliberate and abhorrent shade thrown at MTS.
Also getting involved in the controversy is T.I., who seemingly defended DaBaby's homophobic comments online, commenting ... "If Lil Nas X can kick his s**t in peace... so should dababy." He added the #equality hashtag as well.
Later, T.I. attempted to clarify his remark by saying he respects gay people, but doesn't believe homosexuals should have more rights than heterosexuals.
He also said he respects all gay people who are living their truth -- like Lil Nas X -- but added that X's performances and music videos "ain't for me" and said he doesn't want his kids watching them either.
That doesn't sound great, but to be fair ... T.I. says the mature content is what he objects to for the kids, and same goes for vids like Cardi B and Megan's "WAP."

Dr. Alex Khadavi -- a famous cosmetic dermatologist in L.A. -- allegedly went on a homophobic tirade about his neighbors, threatening to "blow their f***ing heads off" ... and his rant was captured on security footage.
The video, obtained by TMZ, is from Khadavi's condo complex in West Hollywood, and it shows him approaching the front desk concierge in a hostile manner while ranting about people who live in the building ... referring to them with the homophobic f-word.
He goes on to say he'll shoot these people and later threatens to kill them ... before taking his dog outside. When Khadavi returns to the lobby, he continues yelling at the front desk guy.

According to legal docs ... this incident went down on July 7, and resulted in one of Khadavi's neighbors -- who is a gay man -- filing for a restraining order against Khadavi for himself and his husband.
In the docs, the neighbor claims the concierge told him Khadavi made threats about killing gay people, and specifically asked about him and his husband and implied he was going to kill them.
The concierge also claims that 2 months before this incident ... Khadavi showed him a handgun he was carrying while taking his dog for a walk. The neighbors say they fear for their lives.
This is not the first time Dr. Khadavi has been in the news for something like this. We broke the story ... the 'Million Dollar Listing' guys got a restraining order against him back in 2016, claiming he made death threats and anti-Semitic, homophobic and racist comments.

Khadavi has had many famous celeb clients over the years, including Scott Disick and Lance Bass.
We reached out to the doctor. No word back, so far.

Luke Prokop -- a third-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft -- just announced he's gay ... saying in a statement Monday, "I am no longer scared to hide who I am."
The 19-year-old Nashville Predators prospect continued, "It has been quite the journey to get to this point in my life, but I could not be happier with my decision to come out."
Prokop -- a 6-foot-4, 217-pound defenseman who currently plays in the Western Hockey League for the Calgary Hitmen -- said he's hopeful coming forward with his truth will help him ultimately reach his goal of making an NHL roster.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
"From a young age I have dreamed of being an NHL player," Prokop said, "and I believe that living my authentic life will allow me to bring my whole self to the rink and improve my chances of fulfilling my dreams."
If Prokop does make it to the NHL show ... he would become the first-ever openly gay player in the league.
"I hope that in sharing who I am I can help other people see that gay people are welcome in the hockey community, as we work to make sure that hockey truly is for everyone," Prokop said.
Both the Predators and the NHL have already released statements in support of Prokop ... with commissioner Gary Bettman saying Monday, "We pledged to do everything possible to ensure that Luke's experience is a welcoming and affirmative one and continue to work to ensure that any current or future NHL player contemplating following in his trailblazing footsteps knows our League is ready to provide full support."

The hockey player's announcement comes less than a month after Las Vegas Raiders star Carl Nassib became the first-ever openly gay player in the NFL.
Since his announcement, Nassib, too, has been embraced fully by his league ... with the NFL releasing a powerful video proclaiming, "Football is gay."
Demi Lovato NBD if You Misgender Me (At First) ... But Plz Do Make an Effort!!!
Demi Lovato says they won't jump down your throat if you accidentally misgender them -- as it's not an easy pivot -- but they do ask folks to make a good faith effort going forward.
The pop singer -- who identifies as nonbinary -- came out with a new IG post that addresses the change so many have been trying to adopt when discussing them ... namely refraining from using she/her pronouns and referring to Demi as they/them -- which is their preference.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Demi writes ... "If you misgender - That's okay. I accidentally misgender myself sometimes! It's a huge transition to change the pronouns I've used for myself my entire life. And it's difficult to remember sometimes!"
They continue, "As long as you keep trying to respect my truth, And as long as I remember my truth, The Shift will come naturally." Demi ended on this note ... "I'm just grateful for your effort in trying to remember what means so much to my healing process."
You'll recall ... Demi came out as nonbinary earlier this year, saying their new pronouns were more in line with how they wanted to express their gender than the ones they used to go by ... allowing them to be their most authentic self.
Of course, many have struggled with the shift -- not necessarily out of malice, but mere custom and grammar. Demi's acknowledging that and saying it's all good, but don't forget it.

San Francsico Gay Men's Chorus We're Standing By Controversial Song ... In Face Of Death Threats
The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus is not backing down from a controversial song in the wake of what they claim is a wave of death threats coming their way.
Here's the deal ... the SFGMC recently posted a song across social media where they satirically sing, "We'll convert your children," but they say it's being taken out of context and they're getting lots of hateful backlash, including violent threats.
The Chorus is laying the blame on "far-right conservative media" ... claiming the song's tongue-in-cheek humor is being lost on folks and instead used to "support a narrative that suits their intolerant and hateful needs."
Their intent with the "convert" line is a double-entendre -- when you hear the full song, they're singing they'll convert children "not to hate."
The SFGMC claims the death threats are coming their way in emails and social media comments, and the group says it won't be threatened and will not back down in the face of violence. The Chorus says it's working with national and local law enforcement to address the alleged threats.
The Chorus is sticking by the song, but they say they're making the video private so it's not easily copied and taken out of context on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other websites.

Lil Nas X BET Awards Kiss ... Draws Whopping 3 FCC Complaints!!!
-
Exclusive
- 2.7K shares
Lil Nas X triggered a wave of online criticism for kissing a male dancer during the BET Awards, but over at the FCC ... it was basically crickets. Sooo, sign of progress?
TMZ's obtained the complaints filed to the Federal Communications Commission and there were merely 3 of them made in after Lil Nas' much-talked about performance of "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" ... which he buttoned with the kiss.
One viewer from the Bronx wrote to the FCC around 1 AM ... "I was very disturbed to see 2 men practically having sexual in the stage when the awards show is supposed to be a family show. It’s ridiculous and children and adults are being forced to endure this. Unacceptable and I will be unsubscribing from BET network. DISGUSTING AND DISTURBING!!!!!!!!"
Another pissed off viewer wrote, "During a performance 2 gay men kissed. Why are you showing this on tv. It is disgusting and wrong for kids to see because it’s unnatural." #Ugh.
The third gripe cam from a guy in Philly, but it was mostly about satanism than the kiss.
That's it. Just the 3. For comparison, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's Grammy performance of "WAP," and J Lo and Shakira's Super Bowl Halftime show each inspired more than 1,000 FCC complaints.
As we reported ... Lil Nas delivered a stunning performance at the BET Awards ... not only with his hit track but also with a tribute to Michael Jackson's "Remember the Time."
Of course, the rapper saw way more than 3 people sounding off on social media -- so many, in fact, that Lil Nas clapped back at the haters ... particularly one who called him out for using "AFRICAN CULTURE FOR S***S LIKE THIS!!!!!!!"
The incredibly low number of FCC complaints might have more to do with a lower number of viewers -- at least compared to the Grammys or a Super Bowl -- but one can hope part of it is also about tolerance.
More than anything, Twitter's the new clearing house for hate ... which the FCC's gotta love.

Derek Carr On Carl Nassib ... 'If You Want To Mess With Him, You Have To Go Through Us'
-
Breaking News

Derek Carr says he doesn't anticipate any issues whatsoever arising from Carl Nassib's gay announcement ... but the QB made it clear, if any do come up, the Raiders will defend their teammate vigorously.
"He's our brother," Las Vegas' star signal-caller said of the pass rusher. "So, if you want to mess with him, you have to go through us."
Carr explained his feelings on Nassib on the "The Cris Collinsworth Podcast featuring Richard Sherman" this week ... and he didn't hold back, speaking very candidly.
6/21/21
The 30-year-old admitted there might be some people in Vegas' locker room that don't agree with Nassib's lifestyle ... but he insisted every single Raider still plans on being there for Carl regardless.
"Our team has been all for having his back," Carr said. "That doesn't mean everyone agrees with the lifestyle or agrees with that."
"But, we live in a country nowadays like people think if you don't agree then you can't love one another and have their back. And, like, that is the farthest thing from the truth."
Carr continued, "And so there are some guys that have raised a question or two. But, they all say without a doubt we have his back."
Carr explained he believes the Raiders are like a family ... and, therefore, everyone in the team's facility "has each other's back at any moment."
"I hope that no one makes it difficult for him, and I'm talking about the outside coming in," Carr said of Nassib. "Because inside of our building, he's going to be loved just like he's always been loved. Just like everyone on our team is always treated."
As we previously reported, Nassib became the first openly gay NFL player EVER with his video announcement last month.
The clip was inspiring ... and prompted the NFL to release a powerful video proclaiming, "Football is gay."
Carr, Nassib and the Raiders are set to open training camp later this month ... before kicking off their season in September.

Koreatown's Wi Spa Trans Protest Leads to Violence ... After Viral Patron Video

A spa in Los Angeles became the site of brutality this weekend after protests took place against a trans person ... who allegedly revealed themselves to women in the female section.
Several people took to the streets of Koreatown Saturday for what you may consider anti-trans demonstrations ... which were met by counter-protesters, with both groups clashing in violent ways -- much of which was filmed and circulated online and made for crazy video.

— Andy Ngô (@MrAndyNgo) July 3, 2021 @MrAndyNgo
Some of the counter-protesters were likened to "Antifa" -- with a handful of them dressed head-to-toe in all black, while also covering their faces -- but it's hard to sort out who's with who. All we know is that the counter-protesters were NOT having the anti-trans sentiments.
In addition to accosting/provoking some of the protesters, they also reportedly tore up signage that they apparently considered bigoted and discriminatory. On the flip side ... some of the anti-trans demonstrators also allegedly threatened and/or committed violence themselves.

One person claims they had a Wi Spa protester pull a gun on them ... and posted video of a man who appears to take a firearm out of a backpack, and then tuck it into his waistband. When asked what it's for, he's heard on camera saying ... "Something to shoot you with."
BREAKING: Just had a gun pulled on us by transphobes at Wi Spa. He reached into a backpack and grabbed it. When I asked him what he grabbed, he said “something to shoot you with” to me. pic.twitter.com/hCcTXtPN7V
— Vishal P. Singh (@VPS_Reports) July 3, 2021 @VPS_Reports
The chaos all stems from a now-viral video from last week that shows a woman confronting the Wi Spa staff over what she claimed was a man who was sitting naked in the women's side of the spa ... allegedly exposing his penis and genitals to adults and children alike.
The Wi Spa staff seems to be fine with it ... explaining to her that they respect trans people's rights -- and that, apparently, includes letting 'em go to the part of the facility they feel most comfortable in. That didn't sit well with this woman -- who essentially said she felt violated.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
She gets into with other patrons ... some of whom tell her to pipe down and to have some respect, but she stands her ground -- repeatedly saying the trans person had a "d***."
Somebody appears to have been ID'd as the trans person in question -- but it looks like folks might've jumped to conclusions, because they've denied being the individual from last week ... but have been attacked and threatened (physically and online, it seems) nonetheless.

Tyler Posey I'm a Member of the LGBTQ Community
Tyler Posey has come out as a member of the LGBTQ community, and he says his girlfriend is the one who inspired the realization.
Tyler says he now identifies as a member of the queer community. The "Teen Wolf" star said in an interview with NME, GF Phem, whom he's been dating since February, opened his eyes that he falls 'under the queer umbrella."
Tyler told the publication, NME, "I’ve been with everybody under the sun, and right now I’m in the best relationship that I’ve ever been in with a woman, and she’s queer too," adding, "She’s helped me realize that I fit under the queer umbrella and that I’m sexually fluid, I guess. No, not 'I guess' ... I don’t want anyone to take this [interview] and be like: 'Well, he was kind of wishy-washy about it.'"
The 29-year-old star went on to say, "Someone asked if I’d been with men [as well as with women], and I said yes."

NFL Releases Powerful Video 'Football Is Gay'

The NFL is making it clear it stands firmly with the LGBTQ+ community ... releasing a powerful video Monday that featured the message, "Football is gay."
The clip, which is 30 seconds in length, added, "Football is lesbian. Football is beautiful. Football is queer. Football is life."
The messages didn't stop there ... they even went on to say, "Football is transgender" and "Football is bisexual" -- before the video ended with, "Football is for everyone."
A league spokesperson confirmed to Outsports on Monday the video was a direct response to Las Vegas Raiders pass-rusher Carl Nassib announcing he's gay last week.
6/21/21
"I am proud of the clear message this spot sends to the NFL’s LGBTQ+ fans: This game is unquestionably for you," another rep for the league, NFL diversity director Sam Rapoport, added to Outsports.
"I will be playing its first line over and over in my head all season."
As part of the video message, the NFL once again encouraged people to donate to The Trevor Project -- an org. established to try to help prevent suicides in the LGBTQ+ community.
Nassib said last week he was donating $100K to the organization during his video announcement ... and the NFL quickly followed suit matching the donation hours later.
"NFL proudly supports The Trevor Project," the league said in Monday's video. "LGBTQ+ youth with at least one accepting adult have 40% lower risk of attempting suicide."
The video is just the latest positive response to Nassib's announcement ... you'll recall, players from all over the league have publicly voiced their support for the 28-year-old -- and even President Joe Biden praised the football player as well.

Lil Nas X Defends Kissing Dancer at BET Awards ... Diddy Calls it 'Fearless'
Lil Nas X delivered a memorable performance at the BET Awards, but at least one person on Twitter hated it ... so the rapper put them in their place.
The "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" singer crushed it on stage Sunday night, not only with his hit track but also with a tribute to Michael Jackson's "Remember the Time."
The stage appearance ended with Lil Nas planting an intense kiss on one of his male backup dancers.
Clearly, a major moment -- especially as Pride Month wraps up -- but one Twitter user was outraged, tweeting ... "DONT USE AFRICAN CULTURE FOR S***S LIKE THIS!!!!!!! RESPECT OUR ANCESTORS."
Never one to ignore criticism, Lil Nas X defended his decision while making a historical point, saying ... "y'all really like to pretend homosexuality didn’t exist in african culture."
Other than the one hater, the rapper received widespread praise for his bold move, including from Diddy ... who applauded him for being fearless.
Fans of Lil Nas X -- who came out on the last day of Pride Month in 2019 -- were initially disappointed when the 2021 BET Awards nominees were announced and he didn't make the list, and some accused the show of being homophobic.
Still, he was there to perform, and certainly made the most of it.

NFL's Bruce Smith There Were Gay Players on '90s Bills Teams ... Didn't Matter to Us
-
Exclusive
- 45.8K shares
Bruce Smith says he has a ton of respect for Carl Nassib for coming out -- but the Hall of Famer tells TMZ Sports gay players in the NFL is nothing new.
"We had a gay player in our locker room," Smith says ... "I think it was the mid to late 90s and I think we might have had 2 but that wasn't what we were focused on."
Remember, Smith's Bills were legendary in the '90s ... making the playoffs 8 times (including 4 Super Bowl appearances).
But, Smith says he never cared about anyone's sexual orientation -- as long as that player could ball out on the field.
"We were focused on winning games and each and every person that was in that locker room contributing to the goal at hand which was winning football games. None of that other stuff mattered. This was about winning football games and trying to be a good person."
6/21/21
Smith says he completely understands the cultural significance of having an openly gay player in the NFL -- and believes Nassib's decision to come out will have a tremendous impact.
"Obviously, we like to see the inclusion part. We like to see folks that understand that the world is changing and you have to embrace those that may be a little bit different and it's okay."
But, ultimately, Smith believes NFL locker rooms have been more inclusive than people think ... and the notion that older players wouldn't have accepted a gay teammate is just wrong.
"Judge me by my character and judge me by the way I treat people. If we show a little bit more love and compassion in the world, this will be a much better place."

Tyler, the Creator Apologizes to Selena Gomez ... For Old, NSFW Tweets
Tyler, the Creator seems to be trying to get ahead of the Twitter outrage machine by apologizing to Selena Gomez (via song) for old tweets that are seriously screwed up.
The rapper addresses messages he posted online back in the early 2010s that were specifically aimed at Selena, Justin Bieber and other female artists ... many of whom he was talking about in incredibly graphic/sexual terms, which are too much for us to re-post here.
The tweets -- some of which are still live, BTW -- are in the vein of sexual fantasies and would-be exploits ... but one touches on SG and JB's former relationship, to which TTC took a sour tone and wrote, "Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Is F****** Dating. F***."
Apparently, Tyler was into Bieber back in those days (in a romantic way, it seems) ... something he touches on in his new track, "Manifesto," where he briefly gets into this.
On Tyler's second verse, he talks about being "canceled" before cancel culture was a thing -- at which point he says he already apologized to Selena for these abhorrent tweets. In the same breath, he gives more context ... "Back when I was tryna f*** Bieber, Just-in"
Tyler and Justin have hung out in the past, and the former has done interviews in which he said he felt Selena didn't like him ... and was always "mean-mugging" when he was around her then-boo. Turns out, it might've been for good reason ... Tyler was apparently out to bang JB.
If that feels like it's coming out of left field for you, it shouldn't -- Tyler has suggested he's part of the LGBTQ+ community, and seems to get down with both guys and gals.
As for the past online behavior ... it looks like he's made amends and put the matter to bed.

Las Vegas Raiders star Darren Waller says he couldn't be happier for his teammate, Carl Nassib ... telling TMZ Sports the whole team will continue to love and support the guy no matter what.
28-year-old Nassib made the groundbreaking decision to come out as gay earlier this week ... becoming the first active NFL player to do so.
Waller says he was pumped for his teammate when he heard the news ... but hopes these sort of announcements aren't such a big deal in the future.
"My initial reaction was like, ‘oh, that’s dope,'" Waller tells us. "I feel like one day, maybe we’ll get to a point where if somebody says they are gay, like it won’t be this huge thing. It’s just like, hey that’s who he is, and he’s being who he is 100%."
"And so, it’s all respect, all love for Carl, but just because Carl came out and announced that doesn’t mean he’s gonna be a different person. He’s gonna be the same person he’s been all along and we love having him on our team."
6/21/21
Waller added he's "super proud" of Nassib ... calling him a pioneer for speaking his truth and making a real impact in the world.
Nassib has received support from friends, teammates and others throughout sports since coming out on Monday ... and even got a shoutout from President Biden!!
As for the organization, Waller says everyone will continue to love Nassib the way they always have ... and will do whatever they can to show support.
"I feel like the people in the building are good people," he said. "And you know, good people show unconditional love and accept people as they are no matter if it's against what you believe or what you’re used to."
"You accept people and you love people for who they are and that’s that. So I feel like our building does a good job in treating people that way and they’ll treat Carl no different."
