Richard Simmons Hospitalized For Gastrointestinal Issues
Richard Simmons went to the hospital Monday for "severe indigestion" ... according to his rep.
Richard had been battling "discomfort while eating" for several days, and finally decided to get treatment at a hospital on Monday.
His rep, Michael Catalano, told ABC News ... Richard was already doing much better and expects to make a full recovery.
Our sources say the "gastrointestinal issue" wasn't serious enough for an ambulance, and Richard's people drove him to the hospital.
This is the second time in the last year Richard's had to leave his home -- where he's been sheltered for years -- for hospital care. Last summer, he was at Cedars-Sinai for 3 days after his housekeeper said he'd become incoherent.
His people said that was a case of dehydration ... which seemed weird for several days of treatment.

United Flight Attendants Dao's Injuries Easily Preventable IF Cops Knew Better
United flight attendants are shocked David Dao was brutalized and bloodied because police could have prevented any injury if they had a clue about the plane they boarded.
We spoke to several United employees who say the officers should have known the armrests on those seats are movable. Remember, Dao's head slammed into the armrest, causing at least some of his injuries.
The flight attendants point out the cops could have effortlessly lifted the armrest before forcibly removing Dao ... who appeared to get hung up on the middle seat armrests before hitting the one on the aisle.
The employees we spoke to made it clear they believe Dao should've been removed, but they're fuming at how it was handled.
United's CEO says they're reviewing its procedures in these situations, but flight attendants think it's the police who need more training.

Burt Bacharach Sued Your Dog Bit My Fingers Off Thank God for My Groin!!!
Burt Bacharach's being sued by a dog sitter who claims the mutt chewed off 2 of his fingers, requiring surgery using a skin graft from his groin.
Joel Gayner says he volunteered to take care of Alfie -- a Portuguese Water Dog like the ones the Obamas have. The 73-year-old sitter says one early morning he woke up to Alfie gasping for air, urinating all over the place with its eyes rolling back.
Joel says he dislodged a plastic bone on which Alfie was choking by pressing on his chest, massaging his esophagus and up the windpipe before broken pieces of a plastic bone came out of Alfie's mouth -- along with thick mucus and saliva.
He says this saved Alfie's life but minutes later, when he went to pet him, Joel says the dog snapped and mauled his left hand. The bite was so bad, Joel says his middle finger needed to be surgically reattached. What's more ... he says his index finger was also bitten off and he needed a skin graft from his groin area to reattach the missing chunks.
Joel says his fingers now have dead zones -- no feeling in multiple areas. He's suing for medical expenses and unspecified damages.
We've reached out to Burt, so far no word back.
