Le'Veon Bell Expected To End Holdout Next Week ... Says Steelers Owner

Published | Updated

The Steelers are expecting Le'Veon Bell to be back with the team next week ... so says owner Art Rooney II.

The Pittsburgh honcho said on SiriusXM NFL Radio Thursday that it's his understanding the superstar tailback will re-join his teammates in just a couple days.

"I have to start by saying, I don't know what his plans are, but I would say that at this point, we expect him to come back next week."

Of course ... Le'Veon has sat out all Steelers practices and games the last few months as he continues to look for a new mega-deal from the team.

Le'Veon's been down in Miami in the meantime -- ridin' jetskis and hittin' nightclubs -- but he tweeted farewell to the city earlier this week and was then spotted at local Pittsburgh gym Tuesday.

The Steelers have hardly missed Bell ... rollin' to a 5-2-1 record, thanks mostly to the play of Le'Veon's backup James Conner.

Pittsburgh plays the Carolina Panthers Thursday night ... perhaps for the last time this season without the Le'Veon?

Antonio Brown Busted Going 100 MPH ... Near Bank Robbery

Published | Updated

Cops responding to a bank robbery in Pittsburgh jumped into action when they saw a car speeding down the road at 100 MPH -- but it turns out the driver wasn't the robber, it was Antonio Brown.

The 30-year-old Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver was cited for driving in excess of 100 miles per hour on Thursday in his black Porsche.

Cops determined Brown was NOT the bank robber -- so they cited him for reckless driving and sent him on his way.

FYI, Brown and the Steelers have a game Thursday night at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh against the Carolina Panthers.

Guessing Brown didn't wanna be late to the field.

The Steelers issued a statement saying, "We are aware of the situation, but we are still gathering information. We won’t have any further comment at this time."

It's the latest in a string of off-the-field issues for Brown -- who's being sued for allegedly throwing furniture off his apartment balcony back in April.

Brown also claims someone stole a bunch of money and a gun from his apartment earlier this year.

Julian Edelman Honors Synagogue Victims With Hat ... 'I'm Behind You'

Published | Updated

Julian Edelman doesn't play for Pittsburgh ... but he's got the city's back regardless -- wearing a Jewish star hat Sunday, and saying last month's synagogue shootings were "uncalled for."

After the Patriots beat the Packers last night, the WR -- who is of Jewish heritage -- wore a Team Israel hat from the World Baseball Classic.

He told reporters he wanted to show the people affected by the anti-Semitic shootings inside the Tree of Life synagogue that they're in his thoughts.

"Just letting the people out in Pittsburgh know I'm thinking about them," Edelman said ... "I'm sending vibes and they're in our prayers. It was a big hit to the community, and it's uncalled for."

"So, I just let them know, 'Hey, I'm behind you and I'm supporting.'"

The Pittsburgh Steelers -- who played in Baltimore on Sunday -- held a moment of a silence for the victims before their win over the Ravens ... while star QB Ben Roethlisberger wore "Stronger Than Hate" cleats.

Members of the team also attended funeral services last week for two brothers, Cecil and David Rosenthal, killed in the tragedy.

Meanwhile ... the Penguins honored the victims with a special patch on their uniforms last week and donated $50,000 to help victims and their families.

Ben Roethlisberger Attends Funeral for Synagogue Victims ... With Steelers Teammates

Published | Updated

Ben Roethlisberger and his wife -- along with several Steelers players -- attended funeral services for two brothers killed in the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting on Tuesday ... in support of a close friend and former team staffer.

Cecil and David Rosenthal -- brothers to ex-Steelers community relations manager Michele Rosenthal -- were murdered when an anti-Semitic shooter opened fire inside the Tree of Life synagogue on Saturday.

Among the guests who attended the services at Rodef Shalom Congregation -- head coach Mike Tomlin, linebacker Ryan Shazier and Steelers legend Troy Polamalu attended the funeral.

The entire city seems to be rallying around the victims and their families. As we previously reported, the Pittsburgh Penguins will honor the victims with a special patch on their uniforms tonight.

The NHL team is also donating $50,000 to help the victims and their families -- and will be hosting various fundraising initiatives including raffles and game-used jersey auctions.

Don't give Tom Brady the brown just yet -- Terry Bradshaw LAUGHED when we suggested the Patriots QB is the greatest football player of all time ... and then named 3 guys he thinks are better.

It's becoming a big debate -- where does Tom fall on the NFL's G.O.A.T. list? Tim Tebow previously told us he thinks TB12 is "probably" #1.

He's got the resume -- 5 Super Bowl rings. 8 AFC championships. 3 NFL MVPs. 4 Super Bowl MVP. 13 Pro Bowls.

But, Bradshaw says it ain't enough to jump 3 offensive legends -- and he didn't mention Lawrence Taylor, who a lot of people argue could easily be the best ever.

"You guys are too quick to anoint someone 'The Greatest,'" Bradshaw told us.

Watch the clip and decide for yourself -- is Terry right?

Antonio Brown Sued Allegedly Nearly Killed Toddler In Furniture Smashing Rage

Published | Updated

Antonio Brown went into a violent rage back in April and threw a bunch of furniture off the balcony of his 14th story apartment nearly killing a 22-month-old toddler ... so says a lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports.

The Pittsburgh Steelers star WR has been sued by Ophir Sternberg -- who claims his 22-month-old son was walking around the pool at a high-end apartment complex with his grandfather when suddenly "large objects started to fall from the building many floors above them."

Sternberg claims the items included 2 very large vases, a heavy ottoman and other pieces of furniture -- which landed within a mere foot or 2 from the toddler and his grandfather.

One of the vases shattered when it hit the ground, the lawsuit says.

Security and police were called to the scene and determined the items came from Brown's place -- and the whole thing was captured on surveillance video.

Sternberg claims "Mr. Brown was extremely agitated, acting aggressively, and yelling at security personnel when [police] arrived to the scene."

Brown also caused extensive damage to his own unit "in a fit of rage," the lawsuit says.

Sternberg claims his child was terrified and traumatized by the incident -- he has night terrors -- and he's lucky he wasn't killed or severely injured.

He's suing for assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress -- claiming Brown acted "without regard for human life."

We've reached out to Brown's rep for comment -- so far, no word back.

Terry Bradshaw Steelers Screwed Up ... They Shoulda Offered Le'Veon More Money!!

Terry Bradshaw says Pittsburgh REALLY crapped the bed when it came to Le'Veon Bell ... telling TMZ Sports the Steelers shoulda offered him WAY MORE MONEY!!!

The Steelers reportedly gave their All-Pro running back a three-year, $47 million deal -- and Bradshaw says it's no wonder why Bell spit on that offer.

"He's worth a lot. He's worth a lot more," Bradshaw tells us. "There's nobody like him in the NFL."

Don't worry too much, Steelers fans ... Terry says Pitt should still make the playoffs without the RB. But, even if they don't ... Terry tells us don't blame it on Le'Veon!!!

We also asked if Ben Roethlisberger should get involved to help both sides hammer out a deal -- Terry told us, when it comes to the QB, "You stay out of contracts! Stay out of it."

TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN
TMZSports.com

Terrell Davis respectfully disagrees with the way Le'Veon Bell's dealing with the Steelers -- telling TMZ Sports, "If it were me, I woulda signed the franchise tag."

The Hall of Fame running back isn't trying to diss Bell ... and he understands why Le'Veon is holding out -- he just doesn't see eye to eye on the business side of it.

"I never thought he should've held out," Davis said at LAX ... "That's just me though. But, he's gotta do what he's gotta do."

"I can't fault anybody for trying to get more money and doing what they feel is right."

Bell is holding out for a longterm deal with guaranteed money -- despite the fact Pittsburgh hit him with the franchise tag which would have paid him roughly $15 mil this season.

There are reports Bell could end the holdout and report to camp by Week 7 -- and Davis says if that happens, all he needs to do is BALL OUT to win his teammates back over.

Steelers Don't Need Le'Veon To Win Super Bowl ... Says Pittsburgh Mayor

THE PITTSBURGH WAY
TMZSports.com

Here's a sign Le'Veon Bell's holdout has probably gone on too long ...

Bill Peduto -- the mayor of Pittsburgh and a longtime Le'Veon supporter -- tells TMZ Sports he's beginning to think the Steelers don't need the RB to make a Super Bowl run.

"James Conner's proving to be a worthy back and it's a team sport," Bill says. "It's beyond one player."

It's a bit of a surprising claim ... considering Bell has nearly 8,000 yards from scrimmage in 62 career games ... but Bill -- like some of Bell's own teammates -- seems to be fed up with the holdout.

"He's, I think, getting very bad advice from his manager," Peduto tells us.

"It's getting to the point of a certain tipping point when you can still come back and your teammates and the fans will want to have you back."

As for Bell ... probably doesn't care what Peduto has to say -- he still wants to get paid. Plus, it's hard to hear the critics above the roars of a jet ski!!!!!!

Stormy Daniels Ben Roethlisberger 'Terrified' Me ... Tried to Kiss Me

Published | Updated

Stormy Daniels claims she was "terrified" when Ben Roethlisberger tried to kiss her during an incident in Lake Tahoe back in 2006 ... insisting she shot the QB down cold.

It's all in her book, "Full Disclosure" -- where she primarily talks about her sexual encounter with Donald Trump.

The day after she allegedly banged "The Apprentice" star, she met the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback at a VIP section of a golf course ... where Ben had been talking with Trump.

At the end of the night, Stormy claims Trump asked Ben to walk the porn star back to her hotel room -- and when they got there, he allegedly asked for a "good night kiss."

Stormy claims she turned him down -- but he pushed lightly on the door while they both stood outside and said, "Come on."

Stormy says she eventually went inside her room alone -- while Ben continued to knock on the door for several minutes before giving up and walking away.

"I was terrified," Stormy says in the book (via CNN) ... "I am rarely terrified."

We reached out to Ben's camp for comment -- so far, no word back.

It's not the first time Big Ben allegedly acted inappropriately with women in Lake Tahoe -- in 2008, a woman claimed the NFL player raped her at the Harrah's Hotel during a celebrity golf tournament.

Roethlisberger was never prosecuted criminally -- but the accuser sued Ben ... and he eventually struck a settlement with her in 2012.

Antonio Brown I Don't Wanna Be Traded

Published | Updated

Antonio Brown says he does NOT want to be traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers ... just days after saying the opposite on Twitter.

Brown spoke with reporters on Thursday about his now-infamous tweet ... saying he "obviously" doesn't actually want to leave the Steelers after clapping back at a tweet suggesting Ben Roethlisberger is responsible for his success.

AB84 explained he fired back at the guy who sent the tweet -- a former Steelers PR guy -- because he thought it was a personal shot.

"I'm still grateful to put on my uniform, grateful to be a part of this organization," Brown said. "I don't take that for granted. Obviously it was a stupid remark."

Brown also said he's pissed the Steelers haven't won a game yet ... but wouldn't reveal why he missed practice on Monday.

Snoop Dogg ain't panicking about the Steelers' rough start ... but he does have a message for his favorite winless squad -- STOP PLAYIN' AND PAY LE'VEON!!

Of course ... James Conner -- Bell's backup -- was hardly the reason the Steelers couldn't beat the Browns and were mopped by the Chiefs on Sunday.

But, clearly -- Snoop thinks Bell being on jet skis in Miami rather than being on the roster ain't helping matters.

Still ... Snoop ain't ready to hit the eject button on the season yet -- telling TMZ Sports you'll know when that time comes 'cause there will be some classic rants up on his social media.

As for Antonio Brown -- who took to Twitter on Monday and said the team should trade him if they want to find out if he's a product of Ben Roethlisberger's success -- Snoop says A.B. ain't going anywhere.

"We just lost, so we're frustrated," Snoop tells us. "We'll be alright."

By the way ... Snoop also revealed to us which squad he rolls with in Madden -- and let's just say Pittsburgh fans ain't gonna like it.

Sorry, Patrick Mahomes ... you might be the NFL's top QB at the moment -- but Chiefs legend Tamba Hali tells TMZ Sports it ain't enough for him to write a song about you!!

ICYMI ... Tamba's working on going from NFL superstar to music icon -- having just released a legit album.

And, with Mahomes tearing up the league -- he had more TDs (6) than incompletions (5) against the Steelers -- we figured it'd be a match made in Chiefs heaven to hear a Hali-Mahomes song.

BUT ... Tamba tells us that just ain't happening -- at least not yet.

"That's too political!" Tamba says with a laugh.

"I love Patrick, but I can't write him into my music life! I might hurt myself or I might do something that wouldn't make sense in the long run."

Tamba still thinks Mahomes' start has been "ridiculous" -- but it seems it'll take a little more than two games for Patrick to get some Tamba Juice.

But, don't feel too bad for Mahomes ... Hali's already got a Chiefs tune Patrick can rock out to in the meantime.

Le'Veon Bell can still put on a show during his holdout ... taking the stage for his rap project release party ... and TMZ Sports has the video!!

The NFL superstar is staying busy during his time away from the Steelers ... hitting up Rockwell Nightclub in South Beach to celebrate his "My Side of Things" EP, right after getting in some jet ski cruising earlier in the day.

Not only does the whole club vibe out to his songs, Juice gave a live performance for the crowd (something NFL fans might not see for a while).

Bell -- who seems to be a frequent visitor at Rockwell -- even took a shot at his haters, dedicating his song, "Sayonara," to the people who have been talking about his contract situation.

Safe to assume Bell put on a hell of a show ... the dude even got props from singer/rapper Tory Lanez, who showed Bell some love.

Still can't be fun for Steelers fans to see.

Le'Veon Bell is stayin' afloat during his holdout -- zippin' around Miami on a jet ski ... and TMZ Sports has the video.

Bell was chillin' on a yacht on Monday -- living it up -- when he decided to take one of the jet skis out for a spin.

Another rider in the area started chattin' Bell up -- and the running back agreed to make a short video with the guy.

"You already know what it is man, we out here coolin' on the jet skis," Bell said.

At one point, the other jet skier says, "Give my man his f**kin money" -- to which Bell smiles and replies, "You already know! You already know!"

Interesting to see Bell so happy considering his Steelers lost on Sunday, leaving them winless with an 0-1-1 record after 2 games.

Of course, Bell is pissed the Steelers won't pony up and give him a fat longterm contract -- and refuses to show up to practice until they do.

In meantime, at least he's wearing his life jacket!
