Check out the photos, 'cause anyone who's ever been in this sitch knows this NEVER ends well for the car owner. Yet, the Fall Out Boy bassist somehow did just that.

We simply can't relate. Either the tow truck driver's a huge FOB fan, or Wentz is just that charming.

Everclear's lead singer got into a car wreck ... and he's blaming his Ford's crappy brakes.

Art Alexakis tells TMZ he was driving the speed limit (35 mph) in Pasadena last Friday night just before sunset when traffic in front of him started to slow down. Art says he tried punching the brakes on his 2013 Ford Flex but they just didn't bite ... causing him to rear end the car he was trailing.

We're told cops and EMS responded to the scene to check everyone out and gave the all clear. Art says all he suffered was a scratch on his leg.

As for the Ford, Art says it was a goner ... but the good news? Insurance is picking up the tab on a new ride and everything is wonderful now.

Swimsuit model Samantha Hoopes fell victim to some punk burglarizing her car ... and she's telling friends the suspect could be the same guy who's been harassing her for years.

Sources close to the model tell TMZ her Maserati was broken into while it sat in her driveway last month. The thief smashed a window and made off with her designer purse and wallet. No one's been arrested yet, but TMZ has learned Samantha has an obsessed fan who has bothered her for years.

We're told the guy constantly shows up at events and begs for dates. She's never reported him to cops before, but our source says Samantha told cops the guy should be their prime suspect in the burglary ... and now they're investigating.

"Real World: Skeletons" star Tony Raines narrowly avoided a DUI, but still got busted for boozing in public after a crazy night in Charleston, South Carolina.

Witnesses told cops Raines was driving his truck in a motel parking lot Wednesday night when he almost struck a pedestrian -- and then backed the truck into a parked moped. Someone called the cops and an officer spoke with Tony, but he was not arrested since the moped owner wasn't there at the time to file a complaint.

Tony wasn't done -- an hour later he was in a Burger King parking lot and almost hit another vehicle. This time police responded and found him sitting in his truck with an open can of Budweiser.

He was booked for drinking in public, and had his car towed. Since the car was parked, he dodged a DUI.

'O.C. Housewives' Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney were way worse off than we initially thought after they rolled an ATV while taping on Saturday.

TMZ obtained these photos and video from the crash scene in Glamis, CA ... where Vicki had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Witnesses on scene tell us she was puking after the accident, and couldn't feel her fingers. Both women complained of neck and back pain, and you can tell from these images ... everyone on scene was concerned about the severity of the injuries.

We're also told Tamra, who was driving the Polaris RZR, had been warned several times by the people training her to slow down.

TMZ broke the story ... both women had to be hospitalized after the accident, which happened while they were shooting for the show.

Both have been released, and we're told they're recovering well.

A used Fiat just sold for $300,000 -- and, no, this is not an April Fools' joke.

Auction site Charitybuzz just sold one of the Fiat 500 Lounge hatchbacks that Pope Francis cruised around in during his trip to NYC and D.C. last year.

Its new owner, ironically, is a Jewish businessman named Miles Nadal.

Nadal tells TMZ he won't actually be driving the car -- it'll go in his personal automotive museum along with the other 130 cars and motorcycles he's got in there.

Nida -- who is in the can serving 8 years for money laundering and bank fraud -- already got his 2014 Ducati and Yamaha Raptor ATV seized.

A '64 Skylark in mint condition fetches $25k ... which is barely a dent in that debt.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson just got tagged for an accident their son, Chet Haze, had while driving mom and dad's car.

According to a new lawsuit filed against the celebs ... Chet rear-ended a guy named Terry Moogan in February 2015, while driving Tom and Rita's Chevy. Moogan accuses Chet of driving recklessly and being "under the influence of drugs and or alcohol at the time."

Moogan says Chet's parents should be responsible since they negligently handed him the keys.

As for the drugs and alcohol allegation ... Chet didn't get a DUI for this accident, in fact cops weren't even on scene. Moogan's attorneys claim Chet begged him not to call the police at the time.

In the suit, Moogan says he suffered injuries ... though he's not specific. His attorneys claim Moogan got whiplash and a brain injury from hitting his head on the dashboard.

Seems Draymond Green is off the hook for that whole 118 mph video -- with the California Highway Patrol telling us "We can’t investigate an infraction that wasn’t committed in our presence."

As we previously reported, Green posted a video of a car hitting 118 mph on a NorCal highway on his Snapchat ... and in what might have been a confession, he later called the whole thing "bad judgment."

We spoke with the California Highway Patrol to find out if they're investigating the situation and they told us straight up -- no.

"The CHP is not investigating this video because it’s not at the level of reckless driving," CHP public information officer Daniel Hill tells us.

"Driving over 100, though dangerous, is not necessarily reckless. It would just be an infraction and we can’t investigate an infraction that wasn’t committed in our presence."
