The mystery surrounding the death of Floyd Mayweather's ex, Josie Harris, continues -- with no evidence of drugs or suicide at the scene, law enforcement sources tell us.

We broke the story ... Harris -- who has 3 kids with Floyd -- was found in her car in front of her family home Tuesday evening in Valencia, CA.

We're told one of her kids noticed Josie was unresponsive in the vehicle and made the call to 911. Lifesaving measures were taken -- including an attempt at CPR -- but it was too late.

Mayweather had publicly accused Harris of having a drug problem in the past -- but we're told officials did NOT find any drugs or evidence of drug use when they looked through Josie's car.

We're also told there was no suicide note. It does not appear she intentionally took her own life.

Now, the case is in the hands of the medical examiner who will evaluate the results from the autopsy -- along with toxicology -- to determine the cause of death.

Harris dated Mayweather from 1995 until 2010, when Floyd attacked Harris in front of their children at her Las Vegas home.

In recent years, we're told Josie was working on a book to help survivors of domestic violence.

Michael Jordan Man Convicted Of Killing NBA Legend's Dad ... Up For Parole

Published | Updated

One of the men convicted in the 1993 shooting death of Michael Jordan's father is up for parole ... despite being sentenced to life in prison.

MJ's dad James Jordan Sr. was shot to death in July 1993 while sleeping in his car at a rest stop in North Carolina. His body was dumped off a bridge in South Carolina and recovered 11 days later.

Two men -- Larry Demery and Daniel Andre Green -- were arrested for the murder. Both were convicted of 1st-degree murder and armed robbery and each got life sentences.

But, the North Carolina Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission says 44-year-old Demery is now being considered for parole by way of the Mutual Agreement Parole Program.

The MAPP is "designed to prepare selected inmates for release through structured activities, scheduled progression in custody levels, participation in community based programs and established parole dates," according to the NC Dept. of Public Safety.

No word on when Demery could be released. Also, unclear if Green is eligible for the same program.

'Good Times' Star Ja'Net DuBois Fam Claims Secret Dad Was Jazz Icon Cab Calloway!!!

Published | Updated

Ja'Net DuBois' family is revealing an amazing hidden fact about the "Good Times" star -- her biological father was none other than jazz legend Cab Calloway ... or so they believe.

It's turning into quite a showbiz mystery, actually ... one that started when Ja'Net's death certificate was released this week by L.A. County. The document, obtained by TMZ, lists her father as Cab -- and says she was also known as Jeannette T. Calloway-DuBois.

It's interesting because, in addition to acting, Ja'Net was a singer. She co-wrote and sang the theme song to "The Jeffersons" ... which makes ya think the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

If you don't know, Calloway's swing era, singing and dancing, helped put Harlem's famed Cotton Club on the map in the 1930s.

However, before anyone starts rewriting history ... there's a dispute. Every online bio for Ja'Net lists her dad was Gordon Dubois and her mother was Lillian Gouedy. Her mom's name is the same on the death certificate, but Mr. Dubois is nowhere on the document.

Ja'Net's daughter provided the info for the death certificate, and when we asked her to clarify, she would only say Gordon was married to Lillian and "instrumental" in raising Ja'Net. Basically, a stepfather.

Now, Cab died in 1994, but his estate has no clue about the alleged connection. The estate tells TMZ .. "While we have a great appreciation for Ja'Net DuBois' long and successful career, the Calloway Estate has nothing to add to this single document that has numerous mistakes and no verification."

For instance, the estate points out there are multiple birthplaces and birth dates listed online for Ja'Net. We're told they'd be open to a conversation with her family if there were any "compelling facts to substantiate" their claim.

Translation: Ball's in the Dubois family's court now.

Ja'Net DuBois Died of Cardiac Arrest

Published | Updated

Beloved "Good Times" star Ja'Net DuBois died from cardiac arrest ... according to her death certificate.

Ja'Net was suffering, silently apparently, from peripheral vascular disease and chronic kidney disease for years, according to the document. It also says hypertension was a contributing factor in her death.

TMZ broke the story ... Ja'Net died unexpectedly in her sleep last month. She was found unresponsive at her daughter's home in Glendale, CA. According to the death certificate, she was cremated. Some of her ashes were scattered at sea and the family is keeping the rest.

As we first told you, Ja'Net was in good spirits and seemed healthy during a "Good Times" meet-and-greet in early February, where she looked happy next to costars Johnny Brown, Ralph Carter, Bern Nadette Stanis and Jimmie Walker. Looks can be deceiving.

Ja'Net's family also said she had no known ailments or illnesses before her passing -- but the coroner's autopsy clearly showed otherwise.

Ja'Net was famous for playing the Evans family's sassy neighbor Willona Woods on the classic '70s TV series. She also composed and sang the theme song, "Movin' On Up," for "The Jeffersons."

She was 74.

Floyd Mayweather Ex-GF Josie Harris Dies ... Found Dead In Car

Published | Updated

Josie Harris -- who has 3 children with Floyd Mayweather -- was found dead at her home in Valencia, CA on Tuesday night ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... officials were called to the home around 9:30 PM and when they arrived, they found 40-year-old Harris unresponsive in her car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. We're told there does not appear to be any foul play and the case is being treated as a death investigation as opposed to a homicide probe.

Josie had a tumultuous relationship with Mayweather. He was convicted of attacking her back in a 2010 domestic violence incident and later served 2 months behind bars.

Harris claims she was abused on 6 different occasions. But, the criminal case was centered around a Sept. 2010 incident when Harris claimed Floyd entered her Vegas home while she slept, pulled her hair and then attacked her in front of their children.

Harris claimed their oldest son, Koraun, snuck out of the home and alerted a security guard to call police.

Years later, Mayweather denied the violent allegations during an interview with Katie Couric ... saying, "Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did. So if they say that’s domestic violence, then, you know what? I’m guilty. I’m guilty of restraining someone."

Harris was outraged by the interview and later sued Mayweather for more than $20 MILLION for defamation. The case is still ongoing.

Harris reportedly dated Mayweather from 1995 to 2010 and was an aspiring actress. She was also in the process of writing a book to help survivors of domestic violence.

Chris Childs There Was No Beef W/ Kobe After Fight ...We Were Cool!!!

Published | Updated

Ex-Knicks player Chris Childs says ever since Kobe Bryant's death, fans have been bringing up their fight from back in the day ... but those fans need to chill --- 'cause Chris says he and Kobe were cool!!!

"Nah, it was never a beef," Childs says, "It was just something that happened. We let bygones be bygones."

If you don't remember this epic fight ... back in April 2000, Childs and Bryant threw hands during a Knicks vs. Lakers game --- and Childs got the best of Kobe with a 2-piece to the grill.

Since Bryant's death on Jan 26, Childs tells us Mamba fans have been going at him on social media about the fight ...  but he just tries to stay calm and hit 'em back with some positive vibes!

"I just told them let's just pray for the family. Let's not get into the that part of the basketball side. Let that rest right now."

"Let's not be ignorant and continue to talk about something that at that moment, doesn't matter."

In fact, Childs says he and Bryant were fine after that fight -- they would run into each other at UCLA during workouts and there's was NEVER any smoke.

"We always gave each other the head nod, ya know, acknowledging the other person."

That said, Childs tells us there IS beef with another NBA star -- Tim Hardaway -- and ya gotta hear what Chris has to say about that!

Vanessa Bryant Pic of Natalia w/ Kobe & Gigi Mural ... '💖 My Babies'

Published | Updated

Of all the murals dedicated to Kobe Bryant and Gianna, Vanessa Bryant seems to have found one she adores ... 'cause she just snapped a pic of her oldest daughter in front of it.

Vanessa posted a sweet tribute Sunday to her late husband and daughter, showing off 17-year-old Natalia in front of a gorgeous piece of art depicting Kobe and Gigi. Natalia is beaming in a beautiful dress -- apparently, her high school winter formal is upon us.

VB captioned the post, "💖 my babies. Natalia. #winterformal." The artwork behind Natalia is stunning -- it shows Kobe kissing Gigi on the head with a halo above. They're both drawn in with black and white against a sky blue backdrop. Looks to be in a public space too.

We did a little digging and weren't able to locate this specific mural among the many that have popped up over the past two months since Kobe and G's tragic deaths.

Perhaps Vanessa and co. are keeping this one their little secret. In the meantime, take a gander at the others made in KB and GB's honor -- they'll probably leave you in tears all over again.

Marnie the Dog Dies at 18

Published | Updated

Marnie the Dog -- the Internet-famous pooch who was known for her tongue-out expression -- has died.

The Shih Tzu's owner, Shirley Braha, announced the tragic news Saturday on Instagram, writing ... "It is with much grief I share the news that Marnie passed away painlessly & peacefully in my home on Thursday afternoon at the age of 18."

She continued, "Her comfort had been notably declining over the past few days with little hope for improvement and she let me know she had had enough. She enjoyed her chicken until the very end." Braha goes on to thank everyone for embracing Marnie, explaining how her dog put her on the journey of a lifetime and how grateful she was for the love.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Braha ends her tribute post with a bit of info, and somewhat of a forewarning too ... saying Marnie will be buried at a pet cemetery in L.A., adding there'll hopefully be a public memorial for her whenever it's safe to hold one, in light of the coronavirus and all.

Marnie was adopted from an animal shelter in 2012 at the ripe age of 11 years old. Soon after, she went on to achieve viral fame because of her freakishly long (but super cute) tongue, which inexplicably hung out of her mouth at almost all times.

Marnie has posed with countless celebs over the years, including Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, Demi Lovato, James Franco, Betty White, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Larry King, Aaron Paul, Usher, Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Riff Raff, Jason Schwartzman and more.

She once shot down an invitation to the "Wolrd Dog Awards" because, apparently, Marnie and co. felt she was too big for it. She might've been right -- Marnie got her own book deal at one point.

The doggo was 18 years old.

RIP, Marnie.

'Ride Along' Director Tim Story Sued for Child's Death in Hot Tub

Published | Updated

Tim Story, the successful director of the 'Ride Along' franchise, is facing a lawsuit over a tragedy in his backyard ... the death of a 2-year-old boy in his hot tub.

The child's father, Miguel Raygoza-Castillo, is suing over what went down Nov. 18 at Story's L.A. home. According to docs, obtained by TMZ, Miguel's son, named I'M, fell onto an un-fenced spa tub and suffered fatal injuries.

The boy's father says Story's hot tub not only lacked proper fencing, but it was also missing warnings and alarms. In the suit, he also claims there was no alarm to detect someone falling into the water. He claims Story -- who's also directed "Barbershop" and the 'Think Like a Man' flicks -- didn't have an exit alarm on his home's back door to the hot tub area.

According to a GoFundMe page started for I'M ... the child was hospitalized for 4 days before his family made the difficult decision to turn off life support.

Raygoza-Castillo is suing Story and his wife for damages including medical, funeral and burial expenses ... as well as pain, suffering and the emotional distress from losing a child.

We've reached out to Story's reps. No word back yet.

NASCAR's Daniel Suarez Auctions Kobe Race Gear for Charity ...'Give Back Like Him!!!'

Published

NASCAR driver Daniel Suarez felt the best way to honor Kobe Bryant was to give back ... so he's auctioning his personalized Kobe racing gear and donating the money to all the victims of the tragic accident.

"I became a Kobe Bryant fan not for everything he did in the basketball world, but for everything he did on the outside," Suarez tells us.

The 28-year-old says he admired the work Kobe did for the community and other athletes ... so when the tragedy happened on Jan. 26, he decided to honor him the way Mamba would want.

"I really wanted to do something to honor him," Suarez says, "in a way to give back, like how he used to do it."

Suarez hit up artist Salvador Amezcua to make the one-of-a-kind race gear ... and Amezcua tells us it only took 4 1/2 hours to make 'em that AWESOME!

Suarez put the gloves and shoes up for auction after the Auto Club 400 race Sunday in California ... and the bids started rackin' up, with almost $5,000 in 48 hours!!!

"I think the gloves and shoes were the perfect toast to do it and it's really great," Suarez added.

"The auction is still going on, we still have a few more days and it's doing amazing. Way better than what we were expecting!"

FYI -- the names of the nine victims were also displayed on his No. 96 Toyota Camry.

After the auction ends on March 6, all the money will go to MambaOnThree -- a fund for all the victims' families.

Suarez says that the #MambaMentality has set a higher standard for the athletes to get to the most elite level ... and he says he's striving for that success.
