Donald Trump Muslim Ban Throws TV Shows into Chaos

Published | Updated

President Trump's immigration order has Hollywood execs and actors freaking out ... because Muslim and Middle Eastern roles are pivotal for a bunch of TV shows.

Casting sources tell us ... the 2 networks hit the hardest by Trump's order are NBC and Netflix. "For God and Country" -- produced by the "Homeland" folks -- have a pilot order from NBC which calls for a number of Middle Eastern actors.

We're told Netflix has a show in the works which also features numerous Middle Eastern characters.

Marc Cherry has an untitled pilot for ABC as well that’s set to star a late 20's Middle Eastern man ... alongside Reba McEntire.

Here's the prob -- casting agents rely heavily on people from the 7 countries on Trump's ban list. One big casting agent says it's always been difficult to cast these roles, but now it's "super f***** up."

Prez Trump to Mexico Clean Up Your Act Or I'll Send Troops Down There!

Published | Updated

President Trump is reportedly willing to lend Mexico a hand with all its "bad hombres" ... by sending U.S. troops down there.

According to the AP ... Trump told Mexican Prez Pena Nieto he wasn't doing enough to stop criminals and added, "I think your military is scared. Our military isn't, so I just might send them down to take care of it."

The clear threat came during a Friday phone call ... according to the AP, which says it has a transcript of the call. The report says nothing about Nieto's reaction. A Mexican media outlet also reported about the call, and said it was humiliating to Nieto.

Mexico's Foreign Affairs dept. is denying the report.

Falso news?

Kristin Davis Breaks Down on 'Muslim Ban' ... I'm with Sen. Schumer

Published | Updated

Kristin Davis couldn't hold back tears while discussing potential fallout for refugees in the wake of President Trump's immigration ban.

Davis is a Global Ambassador for Oxfam and works with refugees, mainly in Africa. She broke down when we asked what people overseas think about the shift in America's policy on refugees.

The "Sex and the City" star firmly believes the American dream is dying for millions of people around the world. It's clearly hitting her hard.

WE'RE ALL IN DANGER

Akon is really scared ... because he travels abroad a lot and thinks Donald Trump has put a big fat target on his head.

The singer thinks it's not just Americans whom Trump has put in danger, it's Canadians too, because foreigners lump us both together. That means Justin Bieber and Drake are also vulnerable.

The silver lining ... Akon thinks Trump didn't fully understand the power of the word and the pen, but maybe now he does.

ARE YOU REALLY SURPRISED?

President Trump is pushing America to the brink of war ... with Mexico, according to George Lopez.

Okay, George was probably exaggerating about the war part, but he did go off about POTUS pushing forward with plans to build the wall. In George's eyes it will solve nothing, especially because America's got bigger fish to fry.

He suggests Trump bone up on a few other facts. We can't find the stats to back up George's immigration theory, but he clearly believes it. Strongly.

Donald Trump How To Build a Wall

Published | Updated

Donald Trump can't just call the dude who builds his hotel when it comes to constructing a 2,000 mile-long wall, so we did some digging of our own to find out about the hoops that have to be jumped through.

Now that Trump has signed an Executive Order to build the wall, the Secretary of the Dept. of Homeland Security must do a comprehensive study of the Southern U.S. border to determine what fortification is lacking. There are areas that already have fencing and other barricades. The Army Corp of Engineers will most likely be tasked with doing a survey, which then goes to Homeland Security.

The survey must be completed within 180 days under the terms of the Executive Order.

At that point, Homeland Security then solicits bids from private companies to design and build the wall. The bids will be evaluated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection -- a division of Dept. of Homeland Security.

The Secretary of Homeland Security can't just write a check. He'll have to go to Congress for funding. It's estimated the wall would cost somewhere between $10 billion and $20 billion.

There is no time limit imposed on DHS to finish construction.

THE ALLEGED ASSAULT

Shia LaBeouf's arrest and heated exchanges with protesters aren't scaring off the museum hosting his web cam ... but it has a warning for the actor.

A rep for The Museum of the Moving Image says they consider the protest site more of an art exhibit -- and they expect people who show up there to act with common decency and respect, and that means not assaulting visitors. That goes for Shia, too. We're told the museum will continue to monitor the live stream.

As we reported, NYPD cops busted Shia early Thursday morning after he allegedly got physical and scratched a guy in the face.

The museum's sticking to the plan to run the live stream through President Trump's term.

ABC News Busted for Fake News Image ... Used Phony Trump Pic

Published | Updated

ABC News used a mocked up pic of Donald Trump in the Oval Office to promote its first TV interview with the prez, and the image was ripped from The New Yorker! Oops.

The network ran the phony image Tuesday night to promote an interview with Trump -- the first since he took office -- for Wednesday's nightly news, and apparently didn't realize it was photoshopped or another outlet's work.

We're told the photo did in fact see air time Tuesday, but has since been replaced. ABC has apologized, and copped to its marketing team screwing up.

Side note: Shout-out to The New Yorker's art department. Ya fooled ABC.

Chelsea Handler Shames, Bullies Melania Trump

Published | Updated

Chelsea Handler insulted Melania Trump ... and it's backfiring.

Chelsea says she wouldn't interview the First Lady because "she can barely speak English."

Handler failed to mention Melania speaks 5 languages ... French, Italian, German, Slovene and, of course, English.

Chelsea, speaking to Variety, then unleashed on Melania, saying she wouldn't book the First Lady or President Donald Trump for her Netflix show because "I don't respect either one of those people."

It's unclear what grudge she has against Melania, other than proximity.

Handler's comments are essentially shaming immigrants who try to adapt to American culture, and when people bully them by making fun of their level of skill in mastering the English language it inhibits them from speaking altogether.

Choose your battles wisely.

Pacman Jones 'Deeply Embarrassed' Over Arrest Video ... 'Anger Management'

Published | Updated

Pacman Jones says he's seeking counseling and anger management after telling a Cincinnati police officer to "suck my d**k" and "die" during an arrest earlier this month.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... the Cincinnati Bengals star went insane after cops were called on him for allegedly getting physical with a security guard at a local hotel.

When cops arrived, the guy went berserk -- screaming obscenities, dropping n-bombs, threatening the officer's job and telling the cop "I hope you die."

Now, Jones has issued a statement through his lawyers saying he is "deeply embarrassed and remorseful for his conduct and language."

"Mr. Jones has the utmost respect for law-enforcement and the difficulties police encounter on a daily basis."

The lawyers add, "Mr. Jones is committed to the process of counseling and anger management, in order to ensure that such situations never occur in the future."

The Bengals have also apologized for Pacman's behavior -- but haven't said if they plan to cut the player.

'A Dog's Purpose' PETA Shipping Protest Flyers To Anyone Willing to Picket

Published | Updated

PETA's first official protest poster against "A Dog's Purpose" barks out its mission statement ... "For Dog's Sake, Don't See This Movie."

We got our hands on the literature PETA just created for its planned nationwide picketing of theaters where the movie will play, starting Friday. Sources close to the org tell TMZ they'll be sending out as many boxes of the

as needed, to anyone who wants to help spread the word ... free of charge.

We're told more than 1,000 people in at least 25 cities have already requested the posters, which include a discussion about the video TMZ posted, showing Hercules, the German Shepherd, distressed while filming a scene.

The filmmakers have told TMZ ... this one video clip doesn't represent their treatment of animals on the set, and ultimately Hercules was not harmed. We've done a lot of checking, and no one's mentioned any other indiscretions during shoots.

'A Dog's Purpose' Picketed by PETA We Will Shame the Audience

Published | Updated

People who want to see "A Dog's Purpose" will be greeted by animal rights activists and taunted if they buy tickets and enter the theater.

PETA organizers tell TMZ they have plans to hit theaters across the country ... protesting the treatment of the animal actors in the flick. As you know, the controversy erupted after TMZ posted video of a German Shepherd in distress when a handler tried to pull the canine into the water.

The studio says the dog was treated humanely throughout the filming and the 40 second incident was harmless ... the dog was willing to go in the water but got freaked out because producers changed the point of entry.

We're told the picketers will be reminiscent of striking union workers, protesting scabs who attempt to cross the picket line.

The studio already canceled the Hollywood premiere and press junkets for fear of violence by animal rights groups.

The movie opens Friday.

UF Bass Fishing Team EJECTED FROM BOAT ... Crazy, Crazy, Video

Published | Updated

Here's the most incredible video you'll see today ... the University of Florida Bass fishing team (we didn't know either) EJECTED FROM A SPEEDING MOTORBOAT at 57 mph.

The guys in the boat -- Hunter Bland and Conner Young -- were cruising along as usual when the steering system on their boat malfunctioned ... sending the men flying into the water.

Fortunately, the guys were wearing life jackets and kill switches -- which stopped the boat dead in its tracks.

You can see in the video the men are shaken up but not badly injured. One guy says, "I just need to breathe for a second."

We've reached out to the guys for more on this ... it's a fisherman's story actually worth hearing.

Steve Harvey My Bad Apologizes to Asian Men

Published | Updated

Steve Harvey caved and apologized after joking that Asian men are not attractive.

The "Family Feud" host mocked Asian men on the 'Steve Harvey' show last week during a segment in which he poked fun at some self-help books ... including one titled "How to Date a White Woman: A Practical Guide for Asian Men."

The comedian tweeted an apology Tuesday, saying, "I offer my humblest apology for offending anyone, particularly those in the Asian community, last week. It was not my intention and the humor was not meant with any malice or disrespect whatsoever."

It's interesting -- Steve said on Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" ... comics cave when sponsors are on the line.

'Bachelor' Contestant Corinne Whipped Cream on the Boobs Trick ... Total Fail!!!

"The Bachelor" star/villain Corinne Olympios was at it again Monday, wearing a flasher-style trench coat while trying to seduce Nick Viall with whipped cream on her cleavage ... it didn't work at all.

Nick gets all, "I-gotta-respect-the-other-girls" on her ... totally humiliating. She was so pissed she skipped the whole rose thing.

Corinne may have a "platinum vagine" ... but still, she might wanna play a little less aggressively.

Dana White could not be clearer ... Floyd Mayweather has stupid written on his forehead for dismissing his $25 million offer to fight Conor McGregor.

Dana thinks Floyd should be grateful to him for offering him enough to pay Uncle Sam and Pristine Jewelers.

What's more ... the UFC honcho thinks its ridiculous that Floyd is under the delusion he's worth more than Conor.

We got Floyd out earlier Friday, and he scoffed at Dana's offer.
