Devastating health update from Dick Vitale ... the college hoops legend revealed he's been diagnosed with cancer in his lung and liver cavity -- but Dickie V says he'll again kick the disease's ass!

Vitale, 86, shared the bad news Monday afternoon through ESPN public relations.

"Today, my oncologist, Dr. Brown, informed me that my biopsy results confirmed a diagnosis of melanoma in my lung and liver cavity. I will be starting immunotherapy shortly and I plan on winning this battle."

Disturbing new twist in Anna Kepner's death aboard a Carnival Cruise ... the feds say her 16-year-old stepbrother raped her before murdering her on their family vacation.

Anna's stepbrother has been indicted as an adult by a federal grand jury and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated sexual abuse ... according to federal prosecutors in Florida.

The feds only identify Anna's stepbrother by his initials T.H., and say he's facing a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted.

Kevin Federline is weighing in on Britney Spears entering rehab ... and he's backing the move -- with one key caveat.

K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, tells TMZ ... "Kevin is aware of the reports that she has checked into rehab and that if she needs help, he is happy that she is getting help and that the decision appears to be one that she made and not one imposed upon her by others if it was."

Kaplan adds ... "The key is that whatever the recommended treatment plan is that she follows it and completes it."

Lindsie Chrisley wants a judge to order her ex-boyfriend, David Landsman, to stay 500 yards away from her after his recent arrest for allegedly choking her ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Lindsie asked the court to order David to stop harassing, abusing, and intimidating her.

Lindsie says she dated David for two years, and they stayed at each other’s homes. In her filing, she says the relationship ended after his recent arrest on April 10. In the filing, Lindsie said she went to dinner with David the night before his arrest and claims he saw a photo on her phone that he thought was a photo of another man.

She alleged that he became verbally aggressive until she was able to explain that the photo was of him, not another man. She said David apologized once he realized he was wrong.

California Congressman Eric Swalwell says he’s stepping down from Capitol Hill -- and he’s owning up to past mistakes while blasting what he calls a rush to judgment in Washington.

In a statement announcing his resignation he posted to X, Swalwell apologized to his family, staff, and constituents for what he described as “mistakes in judgment” -- but made it clear he’s not backing down from a separate allegation he insists is flat-out false.

Swalwell says he plans to fight that accusation head-on … but at the same time, he admitted the controversy has become a distraction he doesn’t want hanging over the people he represents.

'Real Housewives of Miami' star Lisa Hochstein is facing a felony charge down in Florida ... with prosecutors alleging she was illegally keeping tabs on her ex-husband, famed plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Lisa is facing one count of interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications.

Prosecutors claim Lisa "unlawfully and intentionally" intercepted, tried to intercept, or tried to have someone else intercept "oral statements by Leonard Hochstein and those Leonard Hochstein spoke with."

Documents obtained by TMZ show Bug was charged in Ohio with failure to appear for a court date from December 31, 2024. He had previously been hit with a traffic citation on October 29, 2024 for not having liability insurance.

Jenelle told Dr. Rachel Mason on "La Femme Talk" that when we've seen her and David out together, that's just them being good parents. According to Jenelle, co-parenting is the most important thing for them right now because her kids witnessed so much drama in the past. She's now focused on trying to "create new memories" to counter the bad ones.
