NFL's Josh Gordon Wanted Man ... Arrest Warrant Issued

Published | Updated

6:00 PM PT -- According to Cleveland.com, Gordon submitted a DNA test this afternoon and settled the warrant. His attorney said he was unaware of the case and didn't realize he was supposed to be in court.

An arrest warrant has been issued for NFL star Josh Gordon, 'cause the 25-year-old blew off a judge several times in a paternity case.

According to court docs, an Ohio woman claims Gordon is the father of her 1-year-old daughter ... and filed a lawsuit against him last year seeking child support. She said the child was born on 5/14/2015.

A judge ordered the Cleveland Browns wide receiver to provide a DNA sample and attend hearings -- but Gordon failed to comply with any of the orders -- so a warrant was issued for his arrest on August 31.

When he turns himself in, his bond will be set at $500. The warrant can be recalled if he submits a DNA test.

The Browns issued a statement, saying, "We are aware of the situation. Josh and his attorney are working with the Cuyahoga County Courts to resolve this matter. We have no further comment at this time."

Cleveland.com was the first to report the story.

JonBenet Ramsey Brother to File Defamation Suit Against CBS

Published | Updated

CBS is about to be sued by JonBenet Ramsey's older brother, two days after the network aired a documentary in which experts concluded the brother killed her.

Burke Ramsey's lawyer, L. Lin Wood, tells TMZ, "You damn betcha I'm gonna sue CBS, the phony experts and everyone else that put this thing together."

The documentary concludes Burke, then 9, killed his little sister by hitting her on the head with a heavy flashlight, while John and Patsy Ramsey covered up the kill to protect him.

The theory flies in the face of autopsy findings, which concluded JonBenet died from "asphyxia strangulation" associated with head trauma. There were scores of theories ... the most prominent being someone struck the 6-year-old with a flashlight and one of the parents used a garrote to finish her off. The theory -- the parents allegedly killed JonBenet to then make it seem that an intruder murdered her.

The theory was never pursued by prosecutors.

CBS tells TMZ, the network "stands by the broadcast and will do so in court."

If it goes to court this could become a de facto murder trial.

Derrick Rose Rape Accuser Must Reveal Identity ... Judge Rules

Published | Updated

The woman suing Derrick Rose for allegedly gang raping her with his friends may no longer use a pseudonym and MUST reveal her identity when the case moves forward ... a judge has ruled.

The woman filed her lawsuit under the name "Jane Doe" in an effort to stay anonymous and protect her privacy.

Typically, the law allows someone who claims to be the victim of a sex crime to file a lawsuit under a pseudonym to protect their privacy rights.

But Rose filed court documents saying Doe has abused the privilege by going on a "nationwide pretrial media blitz" over the past week ... which included phone interviews and a news conference.

Now, it seems the judge agrees ... with U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald ruling that she must disclose her real name when the case goes to trial.

Jim Carrey Sued for Supplying Ex with Fatal Drugs ... Then Covering It Up

Published | Updated

Jim Carrey is being accused of facilitating his ex-girlfriend's death by providing the pills that killed her ... so claims the woman's estranged husband in a new lawsuit.

Cathriona White died September 24, 2015, after OD'ing on Ambien, Propranolol and Percocet. The suit claims all 3 drugs were found in pill bottles bearing the name Arthur King ... the pseudonym for Jim.

BTW ... it's illegal in California to get prescriptions by misrepresenting who you are.

The suit claims 3 or 4 days before White died Carrey gave her the pills in question. The suit also alleges Carrey tried to cover his tracks after her death, texting her he either misplaced the drugs or she may have taken them without his knowledge.

According to the suit, Carrey knew White was prone to depression and even tried to commit suicide in the past, which makes it more egregious if he supplied her with drugs.

'Making a Murderer' Brendan Dassey You're Not Getting Out Without a Fight

Published | Updated

Brendan Dassey will not get out of prison, despite a federal judge throwing out his conviction ... if prosecutors have their way.

The Wisconsin Attorney General is appealing the decision to overturn the conviction, on grounds authorities violated his rights by interrogating the then 16-year-old without an adult present.

Dassey was convicted of murdering Teresa Halbach, along with his uncle, Steven Avery. The saga was chronicled on "Making a Murderer," which triggered outrage and almost certainly helped in the appeal.

As of now, Dassey will get out in November, but prosecutors now want a federal appeals court to overturn the lower court's reversal.
