Al Sharpton is hellbent on getting Meek Mill another shot at freedom, and says there's proof he can do it because he also came through for Tupac ... when he was doing hard time.

Al tells TMZ his Monday visit with Meek -- and Meek's attorney Joe Tacopina -- will be just the beginning of his work on the case. Al's hoping to get Judge Genece Brinkley replaced, and pressure Pennsylvania authorities on what he thinks is too stiff a punishment for Meek.

Al says he helped negotiate with the warden at NY's Clinton Correctional Facility in the 90s .... to get Tupac released from solitary confinement. He believes that experience will be key to helping Meek in PA.

The Philly rapper had been in solitary due to his celebrity status, but as TMZ first reported ... he was removed at his request.

Al says job one will be making it clear to PA authorities Meek's 2-4 year prison sentence is harsh and unjust ... considering the cases behind his probation violation.

1:08 PM PST -- The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ the couple had been arguing over their child, and that the victim, Naya's husband, Ryan, did not require any medical attention.

Naya Rivera is facing a domestic battery charge after allegedly attacking her husband, Ryan Dorsey, in West Virginia.

Rivera was arrested Saturday night in Chesapeake, WV after Dorsey called cops to report her for hitting him. According to Dorsey, Rivera hit him in the head and the face -- his bottom lip, to be exact -- while they were on a walk with their 2-year-old son.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Dept ... Ryan gave the responding deputies a video of the attack, and Naya was taken into custody around 9:30 PM ET.

The "Glee" star appeared before the judge early Sunday morning to be arraigned. She was released on $1,000 bond, and her father-in-law reportedly picked her up from jail.

The couple was in WV to spend Thanksgiving weekend with Ryan's family.

Rob Kardashian did not make criminal threats against one of Blac Chyna's alleged side pieces -- or at least there's not enough proof he did ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us the L.A. County D.A. rejected Pilot Jones' criminal complaint against Rob. Pilot claimed Rob sent him threatening texts when photos surfaced of Chyna and Pilot kissing.

We're told the case lacked sufficient evidence to move forward. As we reported, law enforcement sources told us the alleged threats, made last October, were "murky and general."

Wisconsin State Patrol tells us Kendricks was not actually cited for marijuana during the stop. WSP says marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia charges have been "referred to the Outagamie County DA’s Office" who will decide whether to charge Kendricks.

Cops tell us they confiscated weed from LK's vehicle, however, he left the scene without a citation.

Green Bay Packers tight end Lance Kendricks was cited for having weed in his car back in September after getting pulled over for speeding ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Here's what we know ... Kendricks was clocked going 81 in a 70 mph zone when he was on his way home from the Wisconsin Badgers football game on Sept. 2. According to the police report, the cop "could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle."

Cops say Kendricks apologized for the smell ... and after initially denying there were any drugs in the car, he later 'fessed up to having weed in the glove box.

Cops say they say also found a Louis Vuitton bag with a black glass container with a "green leafy substance," 2 packs of rolling papers, and a blue grinder.

Kendricks is facing 2 charges for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and was given a warning for speeding. The case is now in the hands of the Outagamie County District Attorney.

He isn't the first Packers player to have legal trouble fly under the radar ... running back Aaron Jones was arrested on October 1, which wasn't reported until this week.

Before Bre Tiesi said "yes" to Johnny Manziel ... she was engaged to another man -- and the backstory involves everything from money to diamonds to the FBI.

Bre's ex-fiance is Chris Anzalone -- who was a BALLER in Southern California until he was arrested and convicted for running a $16 million investment fraud scheme.

But before he was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison, Anzalone showered Bre in riches -- including cars, designer purses, Rolex watches and a 10-carat diamond engagement ring.

Their relationship went sour when Chris was locked up -- and Anzalone claims Bre embezzled more than $1.3 MILLION in cash and expensive property.

Chris has lawyered up and demanded his stuff back -- but there's one problem ... Bre says he's lying and she doesn't have it anymore.

TMZ Sports spoke with Bre's attorney who says Tiesi met with FBI agents and surrendered every item she was asked to give up ... items the feds claim she received from Anzalone's ill-gotten fortune.

Bre says none of it was embezzled -- everything she had was given to her as a gift.

Bre's lawyers also provided documents to TMZ Sports showing a list of the surrendered items which include Louis Vuitton backpacks, designer luggage, watches and rings.

Bre's attorneys say Anzalone also accused Tiesi of letting Manziel propose to her with the ring HE used back in the day. But Bre's team provided receipts showing Johnny's ring was purchased in February.

Anzalone has fired off legal letters to Bre's team threatening a lawsuit. Bre's lawyers deny any wrongdoing and have this message for Anzalone ... BRING IT ON.

Guess Bre has a thing for bad boys ...

Ethan Cutkosky -- who plays Carl Gallagher on "Shameless" -- has officially been charged with DUI ... but it doesn't look like the kid was boozing.

The Burbank City Attorney filed charges against Cutkosky this week. He's facing one count of misdemeanor DUI -- which is only tied to drugs, not alcohol. He also faces charges for traffic violations related to his driving the night he was busted.

We broke the story ... Cutkosky was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of DUI. Cops told us they smelled weed on him, and that he even fessed up to smoking.

Sources say Cutkosky, who's only 18, is facing up to 6 months in jail, a $1,000 fine and the loss of his license if convicted.

If we know Carl ... he's already looking at his legal options.

Some dude has started a GoFundMe account to pay for Charles Manson's funeral expenses ... and some people actually bit.

We don't know who the guy is, but he's raised $949. He tells a sob story to get some measure of sympathy and shockingly, it seemed to have worked.

TMZ broke the story ... if no one claims the body within 10 days of Manson's death, his remains will be cremated and any expenses incurred in the cremation will be taken from Manson's assets.

Nigel Lythgoe is troubled by misconduct allegations made by Ryan Seacrest's stylist ... especially because she allegedly wanted $15 million in return for her silence.

We got the brainchild behind "American Idol" Wednesday at the Grove, and asked about the stylist who says Seacrest crossed the line with her between 2007 and 2010 -- right at the time "A.I." was huge. Nigel says the money demand is troubling.

TMZ broke the story ... the woman's lawyer asked for $15 million and threatened to send a press release -- which he had prepared -- to the media unless he got paid ... this according to multiple sources. The lawyer denies he demanded $15 mil but does not deny making a money demand.

Ryan Phillippe is firing back at an ex-girlfriend who claims he brutalized her, throwing her down a flight of stairs.

Phillippe just filed legal docs answering Elsie Hewitt's lawsuit, outright denying her allegations. She claims on July 4 he got violent during an argument and claims he inflicted various injuries.

Phillippe says not only is she lying, he says her claims are defamatory, although he is not countersuing for defamation.

He says her motivation is simple ... "an unjustified attempt to extort money from Phillipe, and to gain publicity for herself and her modeling career."

He insists he "was raised by women in a household where women's rights, feminism, and advocacy were very much at the forefront, and he is sickened to be falsely accused of domestic violence."

Imagine finding out Philadelphia Eagles superstar Fletcher Cox nailed your smokin' hot wife and wanted her to have his baby.

Pretty cool if you're a die-hard Eagles fan ... not cool if you're North Carolina resident Joshua Jeffords.

Josh claims he's got hardcore proof that the 6'4", 310 pound defensive tackle seduced and banged his wife behind his back while she was on a work trip to Pennsylvania back in April.

Jeffords claims Cox continued the relationship via text messages -- which Josh now has -- and he says it's smoking gun proof that Cox is liable for "alienation of affection" ... which you can sue for in N.C.

According to North Carolina state law, to win an A.O.A. case, one must prove 3 things ...

1) You and and your spouse had a genuine love and affection

2) The love and affection was alienated and destroyed

3) Malicious acts of a 3rd party produced the alienation of affection. Malicious is presumed if there's proof of sexual intercourse.

In his lawsuit, filed on Nov. 22, Jeffords claims Cox sent her a photo of his penis on Snapchat and followed up with text messages telling her he wanted to knock her up.

He provided copies of the alleged texts that read, "I want to get you pregnant" and "I'm dead ass serious." Another text says, "You ain't gone be no damn single mom."

Jeffords says his marriage has completely crumbled -- his wife has blocked him on Instagram -- and he blames Fletcher for everything.

He's suing Fletcher for more than $25,000.

Meek Mill is tossing The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, under the bus in an effort to get dropped from a wrongful death lawsuit.

Meek filed new docs in the suit brought by the families of 2 men killed last December outside a show he did in Connecticut. As we reported, 4 people were shot ... and the plaintiffs blame Meek and the venue for negligent security -- and also Meek's violent lyrics for inciting the shooting.

In Meek's docs, obtained by TMZ, he says it's ridiculous to blame an artist or an artist's lyrics for random incidents that go down outside their concerts -- and then drags Springsteen into the argument. He theorizes, what if a woman was injured by a drunk driver outside Bruce's show -- "Could she sue Springsteen because his songs contain lyrics like, 'Well, I got some beer and the highway's free'?"

The line is from "Sherry Darling."

Meek also points out he had no control over the security at the venue, and had nothing to do with the fatal incident. He's asking the judge to drop him from the lawsuit.

That being said -- shout-out to "Sherry Darling" ...

Nick Carter is denying he raped former DREAM singer Melissa Schuman, and claims they only had consensual sex.

Nick says, "I am shocked and saddened by Ms. Schuman’s accusations. Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual. We went on to record a song and perform together, and I was always respectful and supportive of Melissa both personally and professionally.”

Carter added, "This is the first that I am hearing about these accusations, nearly two decades later. It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm.”

Dr. Larry Nassar just pled guilty to multiple counts of sexually assaulting multiple girls while working as a doctor for Team USA gymnastics and Michigan State University.

Nassar appeared in a Michigan courtroom early Wednesday morning dressed in his jailhouse orange jumpsuit where he entered the plea.

He now faces 25 to 40 years in prison.

Nassar was accused of molesting dozens of high profile athletes -- including Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney -- while telling the women he was simply performing routine physical exams.

Aly Raisman was not happy with the proceedings -- tweeting, "Court referring to Larry as DOCTOR Nassar. I AM DISGUSTED. I am very disappointed. He does NOT deserve that. Larry is digusting. Larry is a MONSTER not a doctor."

The bourbon company bearing Ray Lewis' name is accused of putting the "stiff" in stiff drink -- allegedly bailing on a $50k sponsorship deal involving one of the most famous racehorses alive.

The ex-NFL star is being sued -- along with the folks behind Ray's Reserve bourbon -- by Leverage Agency, which sells sponsorships at sports events.

Long story short, the company behind Ray's Reserve allegedly agreed to pay $50k to sponsor California Chrome at the 2017 Pegasus World Cup Invitational Race in Florida back in January.

The deal was that RR would pay $25k in cash and $25k in Ray's Reserve bourbon -- 100 bottles at $250 apiece.

FYI, California Chrome is a legend -- he won the 2014 Kentucky Derby and the 2014 Preakness.

When race day came, California Chrome's famed jockey Victor Espinoza rocked pants with the Ray's Reserve logo on them ... as part of the deal.

But when Legacy sent the bill to the Ray's Reserve people, the company claims they never got the cash or the bourbon -- and now they're suing for the money.

Ray's attorney tells TMZ Sports ... Ray had no involvement in the deal and has no ownership in the Ray's Reserve brand. He licensed his name for the product and nothing more.

"There's no justification for Ray to be named personally in the lawsuit."

Xzibit and his wife are gunning for the guys they hired to build them a luxurious backyard oasis ... claiming they screwed it all up, and didn't even finish the job.

Xzibit says the folks at Edge Water Construction were supposed to install a brand new pool, outdoor spa, fire and water feature wine bar, backyard cabana and a bunch of other sweet items. Total cost was supposed to be $397k.

But according to a lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Edge Water took much longer than initially scheduled to do the job ... and much of what they got done was defective. For instance, X-to-the-Z says the pool had sharp edges which cut his 8-year-old son's feet.

In the suit, he says parts of the pool and spa weren't properly waterproofed -- which seems like job #1 when building a pool.

Xzibit and the missus are suing for $250k. For its part, Edge Water tells us they only stopped working because Xzibit told them he wasn't going to pay them the $178k he still owed. They say he demanded to see their receipts, and when they refused he cut off the funding ... and they walked.

Edge Water says they stand by their work, and say an independent inspector also signed off on it.

Daivd Otunga just won a big legal victory in his custody battle with Jennifer Hudson ... he gets their son for Thanksgiving.

TMZ has learned both sides squared off in court Tuesday and David made his case to spend the holiday with 8-year-old David Jr. TMZ broke the story, cops threw David out of the family home after Jennifer got an order of protection claiming she was afraid David would hurt her and her son. David says she's lying and vengeful because they were at an impasse over custody.

We've learned, according to the new order, David Jr. will be with his dad from Thanksgiving day at 3 PM to 7 PM the following day.

There's a hearing set for Monday where David will ask the judge to vacate the order of protection.

We're told David will also ask the judge on Monday to give him temporary custody of David Jr., claiming he's the primary caregiver. He also wants possession of the residence -- where he pays rent -- during the 2 weeks she'll be traveling for work -- between November 26 and December 8.
