Bella Thorne's bf is leaping to defend what might seem indefensible, and demanding Rob Lowe back off his girl ... despite her totally tone deaf comment about the deadly Montecito mudslides.

Bella's dating rapper Mod Sun, the guy she was trying to get to when she ignorantly tweeted about being inconvenienced by the mudslides blocking the 101 freeway. Rob subsequently called her out because she clearly knew nothing about the 17 people who'd been killed in the disaster.

Mod thinks Rob is guilty of shaming Bella, and went after the actor.

Ricky Martin is officially off the market -- he says he's married to Jwan Yosef, but a big celebration is still to come.

The 'Assassination of Gianni Versace' star says he and Yosef -- who announced their engagement in November 2016 -- have taken all the required steps to make their marriage official ... and he's now a husband.

Martin told E! News they exchanged vows and signed all the paperwork -- including prenups -- so all that's left now is the party, which he says is coming soon.

Huma Abedin and convicted sex offender Anthony Weiner signed docs to call off their divorce -- but they're still done ... they're just taking a quieter approach.

Hillary Clinton's trusted aide, Huma, had a divorce hearing scheduled Wednesday morning, but instead submitted docs to nix the divorce case. Both Huma and Weiner signed the docs.

Huma's attorney, Charles Miller, tells TMZ ... “In order to reduce any impact of these proceedings on their child, the parties have decided to reach a settlement swiftly and privately.”

In other words ... they're going to avoid feuding -- in court or in public -- and hammer out a divorce settlement privately. They'll still need a judge to sign off eventually.

As we reported ... Huma filed for divorce back in May 2017 following Weiner's guilty plea for sexting a 15-year-old girl. He's currently serving a 21-month prison sentence.

Kumail Nanjiani's movie, "The Big Sick," wasn't a Golden Globes winner, but he was still feeling sentimental about the project Monday morning ... thanks to one family memento.

Kumail shared a shot of his phone number scribbled on the back of a hospital visitor pass. It's the pass his mother-in-law used when Kumail's wife, Emily V. Gordon, was sick in the hospital. If you haven't seen the movie, it's essentially the premise of the entire thing since the hospitalization is a catalyst for them getting back together.

The flick came out last year to critical acclaim, but Kumail says Emily's mom only just found the pass.

French Montana clearly harbors no ill will or hard feelings after his breakup with Khloe Kardashian, because he couldn't be happier she's having a baby.

We got French Thursday night in West Hollywood at Poppy, and he didn't hesitate to express his joy over Khloe's pregnancy.

French and Khloe started dating in May 2014 and it lasted only a few months. It looks like he's starting to date Evelyn Lozada.
