'Ugly Betty' Actor: I 'Killed the Demon Inside' My Mom

Published | Updated

Michael Brea -- the small-time actor who once appeared on "Ugly Betty" -- has an explanation for (allegedly) killing his mother with a sword: "I didn't kill her. I killed the demon inside her."

In a frightening interview with the NY Daily News, from the prison ward at Bellevue Hospital, Brea explained how God came to him in his sleep and told him it was to be his last day on Earth.

He recalls how he left his apartment because a man was trying to put a curse on him, and while riding the train to Brooklyn, he explains, "I felt like Neo from 'The Matrix.' I began hearing voices and feeling powerful ... They were asking about the difference between mom and mother. It was a sign."

By the time Michael returned home he knew he was going to kill his mother. When she asked him to pour water from a pot in which she was cooking chicken, Michael attacked her with a sword, believing a demon had taken hold of her soul.

Michael says, "I was slashing my mom and I heard the police knocking on the door yelling, 'Michael, open up, Michael, open up,' but I knew they wouldn't open the door and stop me because the spirits were protecting me ... I just kept cutting her. No one could stop me. I was doing the work of God."

Brea has been charged with 2nd degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Paris Hilton filed a bristling countersuit against a company that claims she signed a multi-million dollar contract to promote a hair-extension product and then blew the company off.

Indeed, she notes in her docs that the head honcho wrote her an email after a shoot, saying, "Hey Paris. I know it was a long day, but baby you 'Rocked.' Just from the takes I saw this is going to be one hellava commercial, you were genuinely amazing."

In it's lawsuit, Hairtech claims Paris was a hair heretic, showing up for interviews wearing competitive products. The company also says by going to jail in 2007, Paris breached an implied term to obey the law.

Paris -- who was sued by the company for $35 million -- is asking for $3 million plus punitive damages in her countersuit.

Kanye -- Comparing Matt Lauer to a Child Abuser????

Published | Updated

Kanye West went on another trademark rant last night -- unleashing about everything from Taylor Swift to George W. Bush ... and even took what seemed to be a serious shot at Matt Lauer.

During his concert in New York last night, Kanye brought up the "Today" show drama again (and his allegations that Lauer ran a clip from his interview with Kanye out of context) -- and made the following comment:

"Matt Lauer's not a bad guy I'm sure ... but if you are a child that's being abused by your parent ... or you are a girl being abused by your boyfriend ... the greatest win that you could ever have is for that person to hit you in public. You SEE! YOU SEE! I TOLD YOU!"

For the record -- Matt and the "Today" show insist they did NOTHING wrong.

As for Kanye, he also ranted about the infamous Taylor Swift moment at the VMAs -- saying, "If I wasn't drunk, I woulda been on stage longer."

He continued, "Taylor never came to my defense in any interview .. and rode it and rode it."

Check out the clip -- pretty crazy stuff.

Oksana's Manager: She 'Pushed Mel's Buttons'

The man Mel Gibson hired to manage Oksana Grigorieva's singing career claims she's a two-faced opportunist who was constantly "pushing [Mel's] buttons" ... this according to legal docs obtained by TMZ.

Michael Lustig submitted a declaration for Mel in the child custody case -- in which Lustig claims despite Mel's efforts, Oksana never showed an ounce of gratitude.

In the document, Lustig states, "In my experience, Ms. Grigorieva's disposition is generally anxious, depressed and uneasy, and she constantly 'digs' at Mr. Gibson and pushes his buttons."

Lustig adds, Oksana would become a "dark" person when she would argue with Mel ... noting he could often hear her yell at him ... and her words were "sharp, pointed and nasty."

As for little Lucia -- Lustig claims he once advised Oksana to cancel a trip to Moscow because of a terrorist attack in the city ... but she left Lucia behind and traveled anyway.

Oksana survived the trip. As for the custody case ....

Charlie Sheen Sues Capri Anderson for Extortion

Published | Updated

Charlie Sheen has just filed a lawsuit against Capri Anderson, aka, Christina Walsh, claiming she tried to extort him to the tune of $1 million.

According to the lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, in the wake of The Plaza Hotel incident, Capri demanded "at least One Million Dollars" and if she didn't get the money she allegedly threatened to go to prosecutors in Aspen to get Charlie's probation violated.

The suit claims Capri also threatened "to embarrass him and attempt to damage his career by going to the media with her false tale."

The suit says, "At no time did Sheen assault, batter or threaten Walsh." Charlie also alleges Capri admitted to third parties after the incident she had not been battered or held against her will. And, according to the suit, Capri told the NYPD Sheen acted "like a total gentleman."

The suit, filed by legal pit bull Marty Singer, also accuses Capri of stealing his $165,000 Patek Philippe watch.

In classic, Singer-esque language, the suit describes Capri as "an opportunistic pornographic film star and publicity hungry scam-artist."

Sheen is asking for unspecified damages, but nothing less than the $165,000 for his watch.

Sources connected with the show tell us extra security will be on hand tonight for the show. And, if Bristol and Mark head to New York, execs are talking about breaking format and not doing their interview outside in Times Square -- but rather in the studio, where it's more secure.

TMZ broke the story ... a staffer on the show opened a "fan letter" to Bristol on Friday and white powder fell out. Turns out it was talcum powder, but the FBI is investigating nonetheless.

As one source said, "Everyone is genuinely worried. This is a dance competition, and it's just gotten crazy."
