"Dancing with the Stars" producers are taking a HUUUGE gamble, because they just signed Andy Dick to join the cast ... a notorious loose cannon whose last stint in TV was "Celebrity Rehab."

Sources close to the production tell us ... Andy was on the set today ... along with Lisa Vanderpump, and D.L. Hughley (who are also believed to have signed contracts to compete on the show).

We're told Andy has been paired up with one of the new dancers ... and one connected source tells us, "He's more for comedy ... nobody expects much from him."

Still, one source insists Andy is taking the competition very seriously and wants to prove that he's for real.

Andy's a risky cast choice for LIVE TV -- to say the least -- considering the troubled actor's been in and out of rehab, has been arrested a whole bunch of times ... and has a reputation for being unpredictable.

1:39 PM PT -- The picture was taken Monday night at AV Club in Los Angeles.

Sources tell TMZ ... Snoop had performed at the club that night ... and Suge showed up to see the performance.

After the show, we're told Suge walked over to Snoop's VIP table and the two hit it off like old times ... hugging, laughing and taking pictures.

It's the reunion that NOBODY saw coming ... Snoop Dogg hanging out in a nightclub with former Death Row Records honcho Suge Knight ... smiling and partying together during a recent night out.

Snoop just posted the photo to his Instagram page ... with the caption, "N d club wit Suge miss those death row days!"

It's unclear when and where the photo was taken.

Snoop -- a former Death Row rapper -- hasn't been friendly with Suge since the '90s.

Snoop has previously explained that Suge and Tupac got pissed at him because they felt he didn't have their back when Death Row was beefin' with Bad Boy Records.

Cops say the man never entered Rihanna's home ... but, in fact, entered the home next door believing it was Rihanna's home.

He was arrested outside of that property ... not Rihanna's home.

A man was arrested outside of Rihanna's Southern California home in the Pacific Palisades ... after neighbors saw the guy snooping around and apprehended him Thursday night ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... the suspect has told police someone emailed him instructions on how to get into the home ... so he rolled over to the property and followed the directions.

We're told the instructions worked ... because the man was able to get inside the home ... where he allegedly snooped around for a while before neighbors noticed something was up.

Our sources tell us ... neighbors went over to the home and confronted the man -- and eventually detained him when they realized he didn't belong there. Police were called to the scene and took the man into custody.

LAPD officers rushed to the Playboy Mansion earlier today in response to a bogus 911 call reporting an assault inside the home -- but we're told ... cops do NOT believe it was a "swatting" prank.

When cops arrived at the scene, the LAPD says there was no evidence a crime had been committed on the property.

After an initial investigation showed no signs of an assault, an LAPD spokesman told the media, "It could be one of those swatting calls."

But law enforcement sources tell us, police have since been able to identify the caller and no longer believe it was a "swatting" prank. We're told the call wasn't intended to garner a SWAT response ... which is the whole point of "swatting" pranks. In fact, only two squad cars responded to the home.

We're told cops believe there's a possibility the caller was convinced an assault had actually occurred. Law enforcement is still investigating the situation.

It's not surprising cops initially jumped to the "swatting" conclusion -- Hollywood's been besieged with "swatting" pranks in recent months ... reporting fake crimes at celebrities' homes in the hopes SWAT teams will be called in on false pretenses.

Recent victims include Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Simon Cowell, Tom Cruise, the Kardashians, and Chris Brown.

As we reported, a 12-year-old was charged earlier this month in connection with the "swatting" calls ... specifically for the Kutcher incident and another incident involving an L.A. bank.

If Tila Tequila wants her old Louis Vuitton purse back ... it's too damn bad ... 'cause one of the stars of "Storage Wars" officially took ownership of the bag, along with a bunch of Tila crap, after winning a storage auction in L.A. ... TMZ has learned.

The person who bought the storage unit is Nabila Haniss -- who bid just under $3k for the unit after only getting a few minutes to scope it out (the same way it happens on the show).

Once she took ownership, Haniss says she was convinced the unit belonged to Tila based on all of the stuff inside ... including self-portraits, a personal diary, racks of clothes, pictures, Louis Vuitton bags, and personal memoirs about TT's engagement to heiress Casey Johnson, who passed away in 2010.

Haniss says she reached out to Tila about the purchase -- but never heard back -- and now believes the troubled reality star's not even aware her unit was foreclosed on.

Haniss says her next move is to sell the contents on eBay.

FUN STORAGE FACT: Haniss bought Paris Hilton's foreclosed storage unit back in 2004 -- and later sold it all off for a small fortune to the person who created the site Parisexposed.com.

The Beverly Hills Police Department is on the hunt for a gang of gun-toting bad guys who robbed a jewelry store featured on several reality shows, including "Basketball Wives" ... TMZ has learned.

According to the Beverly Hills Police Department ... the robbery went down on January 25 at the Jason of Beverly Hills jewelry store -- a shop featured on "Basketball Wives L.A." a few seasons ago because cast member Malaysia was friends with the owner ... and the store sold several pieces from her jewelry line.

The store has also been featured on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

Cops say when a man and a woman posing as customers entered the shop around 6:50 PM that night ... and asked the staff to see several pieces of jewelry.

After some browsing, cops say a third man -- working with the couple -- entered the store, pulled out a gun and "removed several pieces of jewelry from the display case which had been opened by the store clerk."

Officials believe the 3rd suspect may have been wearing a fake beard.

According to police, all three suspects fled in the same car ... fairly new white Kia Optima.

Cops are begging the public for help in hunting down the bad guys -- and have even offered a $50k reward.

Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton was arrested for DUI this morning -- and TMZ has the mug shot.

According to the police report, 39-year-old Helton was busted at 2:39 AM on 3 counts of drunk driving just outside of Denver.

Cops say Helton was cooperative.

A rep for the Rockies released a statement saying the MLB superstar "clearly understands the seriousness of his poor decision."

Helton -- a former All-Star -- was once considered one of the best hitters in baseball.

Helton just released a statement saying, "Last evening I exercised poor judgment and was charged with drinking and driving after driving to a gas station near my house. I am very sorry and embarrassed by my actions."

"I hold myself to a high standard and take my responsibility as a public figure very seriously. My entire career I have worked to set a positive example for my family and in our community and I fell far short of this standard."

Kim showed up at Wasser's office today, and we're told the two of them are gearing up for a divorce trial against Kris Humphries.

Our sources say Kim isn't even thinking about settling anymore, because Kris has made it clear he wants the case to drag on endlessly, so she spent hours with Wasser going over trial strategy.

As for when the trial will take place ... there's a trial setting conference set for Feb 15, and Wasser has made it clear she wants a trial in March.

If history repeats itself, Kris' lawyer will appear and say Kris needs more time to prepare. By our count this will be the 4th time Kris' lawyer made the delay argument. The judge has bought it 3 times, but we're guessing this time a trial date will be set.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Brown was pulled over for going 60mph in a 35mph zone. We're told the officer ticketed Brown for speeding and let him go on his way.

As TMZ first reported, following his altercation with singer Frank Ocean, our sources say CB has been itching to tell cops his side of the story.

Justin Bieber oughta think twice before loaning his car out ... because it was involved in yet another run-in with cops.

Bieber wasn't driving. The guy behind the wheel -- Lil Za -- was pulled over in West Hollywood -- apparently for tinted windows -- today at around 1:30 AM. The driver didn't have a license, so deputies put him in the back of the squad car and it looked like he was under arrest. Driving without having a license is an arrestable offense.

But deputies cut the dude a break, and he was cited and released.

You'll recall, a month ago to the day ... another one of Bieber's friends -- Lil Twist -- took Bieber's car for a high-speed ride, was pulled over by cops and a photog was struck and killed by another car while shooting the traffic stop.

As for the latest incident ... Bieber's friend flipped photogs off while sitting in the back of the cop car.

Kelly Clarkson doesn't compare to Beyonce -- because Kelly actually sang her song LIVE yesterday at the Presidential Inauguration ... TMZ has learned ... unlike Beyonce, who lip-synced to a pre-recorded track.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Marine Corp Band -- which provides the music for the Inauguration -- tells TMZ, Beyonce mouthed the words to a pre-recorded studio version of "The Star-Spangled Banner."

But the rep added, Kelly sang "My Country 'Tis of Thee" WITHOUT the help of a backing track.

The rep added, "We all know Beyonce can sing ... We don't know why she chose to use the pre-recorded track."

Robert F. Chew -- best known for playing Proposition Joe on "The Wire" -- was found dead yesterday in his apartment in Baltimore ... TMZ has learned.

According to the coroner in Baltimore, Chew died of cardiovascular disease. "Morbid obesity" was listed as a contributing factor.

Chew had very little acting experience before "The Wire" or after. He was on the cult HBO show -- which took place in Baltimore -- for five seasons.

Kourtney Kardashian says she's super excited her sister Kim is with child ... because Kim will be able to use her mom boobs to feed Kourtney's kids ... in addition to her own.

Kourt appeared on the "Today" show this morning with Kim and said she's not weirded out by the idea of letting her kids suckle from multiple Kardashian teats.

Kourt explains, "That's what they did back in the day."

TMZ spoke with a rep for the La Leche League -- an international breastfeeding awareness group -- who says, while it's true wet nurses were used in the past, it's less common today "due to awareness of pathogens that can be transmitted in milk."

Fun Fact -- Salma Hayek used her mom boobs to feed a bunch of random babies in Africa a few years ago ... and didn't receive one single complaint from the babies.

Justin Bieber beat the crap out of one of his Israeli bodyguards ... and berated the former soldier after a disagreement ... this according to a new lawsuit.

Biebs -- who's 5'7" and MAYBE 130 lbs -- is being sued by Moshe Benabou, an ex-member of the Israeli army.

According to Benabou -- who claims he worked for the singer from March 2011 to Oct. 2012 -- JB berated him and punched him in the chest multiple times during a disagreement about how to handle a member of Bieber's entourage.

Benabou is seeking unspecified damages for assault and battery -- and more than $420,000 in unpaid overtime.

But sources in Bieber's camp tell TMZ ... Moshe is nothing more than a "disgruntled employee looking for money." They say the claim that Bieber struck him is "absurd."

As for why Moshe was fired, our sources say he told multiple lies including a big one -- that he had worked closely with Justin Timberlake before being hired by Bieber.

Our sources say it was discovered that he never worked for JT a day in his life.

You may recall, Benabou was the guy who got into a physical confrontation with a photog at LAX back in February. After a brief struggle, both men fell to the ground ... and Benabou landed a pretty solid punch while the pap was being restrained by another person.
