6:18 PM PT -- Aziz has responded saying he believed the sexual activity he engaged in with the anonymous woman was completely consensual. He says the day after the incident he got a text from her saying, "it may have seemed okay" but, after further reflection she felt uncomfortable. He says, "It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned."

Aziz says he "took her words to heart and responded privately." He says he continues to support the #MeToo and Time's Up movements as well.

Aziz Ansari has been accused of sexual assault by a woman who claims he repeatedly got sexually aggressive with her despite her protestations.

The woman -- who remains anonymous -- claims she went on a date with him last year and ended up in his Tribeca apartment. She claims he almost immediately began kissing, fondling and undressing her and then said he was going to grab a condom. The woman says she asked him to slow down, but he continued and performed oral sex on her.

She says when he started sticking his fingers in her throat, she used "verbal and non-verbal cues" to indicate her discomfort.

The woman says she doesn't know if Ansari got the message at first, but when it eventually registered, she says he told her, "Of course, it's only fun if we're both having fun."

Still, she says Ansari continued to push himself on her. She says she eventually left in tears.

The woman, who first told her story to Babe.net, texted Ansari the next day, "Last night might have been fun for you it wasn't for me. When we got back to your place, you ignored clear, non-verbal cues; you kept going with advances. You had to have noticed I was uncomfortable." She then described part of the encounter.

The woman says she decided to come forward after she saw Ansari wearing a Time's Up pin at the Golden Globes, where he won Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy TV Series for his lead role on "Master of None."

Gayle King is doubling down ... trying to clarify Stedman Graham's comment about Oprah running for President, and throwing in her own 2 cents too.

We got Gayle leaving CBS Tuesday in NYC, after she went on the air and offered a tightrope answer as to whether Oprah was serious about a presidential bid in 2020.

The co-anchor said Oprah was intrigued, but probably not actively considering it at this point -- despite folks already hitting her up to run a campaign.

Gayle got direct with us, insisting while SHE personally thinks President Winfrey is easy on the ears ... Oprah is not convinced, and is not seriously considering a run.

The best movies are often never nominated for awards ... according to Sean Gunn, who plays Kraglin in the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' films.

We got Gunn on Rodeo drive Monday after Globes and asked him about awards shows always dissing superhero films like "GotG 2," which his brother, James, wrote and directed.

'GotG 2', "Wonder Woman" and "Spider-man: Homecoming" were some of the top grossing films in 2017 but didn't get Best Picture nods, something the Internet has been sounding off on lately.

Frances McDormand's Golden Globes speech was mistakenly bleeped because staff working the show thought for sure she was about to curse ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the Globes tell TMZ ... McDormand was bleeped three times during the live broadcast because the production team was on "high-alert" and anticipating swear words that would violate FCC rules. We're told the show errs on the conservative side when it comes to bleeping live award shows because of the family audience.

So, what did you miss? The show ended up censoring words like "Fox Searchlight" and "tectonic shift" ... however you clearly heard Frances say "shite" on the live East coast feed.

When the show was rebroadcast for the West coast, "shite" was bleeped and the 3 other censors were removed.

Senator Orrin Hatch gave us a big surprise Monday ... he said he'd like to sit down with Oprah and help her if she decides to run for President in 2020.

We got the Utah Senator -- who's retiring this year -- at Reagan National Airport in D.C., and he seemed gleeful about the Presidential buzz following Oprah's Golden Globes speech.

Mind you ... Hatch is the longest-serving Republican in the Senate, who has been super conservative over the years.

Hatch goes as far as to say she'd be a serious candidate if she handles things properly. It's interesting ... he was more overtly supportive of Oprah running than Elizabeth Warren, who deflected the question.

Drake and Zoë Kravitz partied like it's 2013, getting all handsy and rekindling an old flame ... or so it seems.

OVO and Zoë were together at Netflix's Golden Globes party Sunday night, and it wasn't hard to tell they have some history. They had their arms around each other at one point. When they weren't chatting ... Drake was doing his thing behind the turntables as Zoë danced along to Wizkid's "Show You The Money."

Drake and Zoë were rumored to be an item back in 2013 and you'll recall she posted this pic in 2014 wishing him happy birthday. Zoë told Andy Cohen last year she used to hang out with Drake, and we all know what that means.

We're told they remain longtime friends, but where there's smoke ...

Senator Elizabeth Warren loves Oprah Winfrey for sure, but it's apparent she's not ready to throw her support behind O for a 2020 Presidential run.

We got the Massachusetts Senator Monday at Reagan National Airport in D.C. and gave her several openings to echo the sentiment held by a number of people after Oprah's historic Golden Globes speech, but she wouldn't go there.

Lee Daniels is clearly not on the same page as Stedman Graham, because Lee is convinced Oprah will NOT run for Prez in 2020.

We got the brainchild behind "Empire" Monday leaving Equinox on the Sunset Strip, and he was amused at all the talk of an Oprah run, but says it's not going to happen ... and he's emphatic.

Stedman said after Oprah's stirring Golden Globes speech that Oprah would "absolutely" run if people want her to, but Lee -- who's tight with O -- says it's not gonna happen.

Lenny Kravitz is dating Brazilian model Barbara Fialho and she has something in common with his own daughter ... they're practically the same age!

Kravitz and the Victoria's Secret model, who's 30, packed on the PDA Sunday while taking a stroll in Miami. They met up with friends for lunch.

Kravitz's own daughter is 29 and now stars on a Golden Globe winning TV show, "Big Little Lies," alongside Lenny's ex-fiancee, Nicole Kidman, so really nothing weird about this.

Kumail Nanjiani's movie, "The Big Sick," wasn't a Golden Globes winner, but he was still feeling sentimental about the project Monday morning ... thanks to one family memento.

Kumail shared a shot of his phone number scribbled on the back of a hospital visitor pass. It's the pass his mother-in-law used when Kumail's wife, Emily V. Gordon, was sick in the hospital. If you haven't seen the movie, it's essentially the premise of the entire thing since the hospitalization is a catalyst for them getting back together.

It also took place in Chicago ... hence the 773 area code.

The flick came out last year to critical acclaim, but Kumail says Emily's mom only just found the pass.

He also added, "Certain objects have the power to pull you back. Wow."

7:57 AM PT -- The network just released a statement about the tweet, saying, "Yesterday a tweet about the Golden Globes and Oprah Winfrey was sent by a third party agency for NBC Entertainment in real time during the broadcast. It is in reference to a joke made during the monologue and not meant to be a political statement. We have since removed the tweet."

Oprah's potential run for President is already on Trump's radar, and it's pissing him off ... Donald Trump Jr., that is.

The eldest son of POTUS is blasting NBC for gushing over Oprah Sunday night, and referring to her as "OUR future president." The network tweeted the comment shortly after Oprah's rousing speech at the Golden Globes, which aired on NBC.

Donald Jr. says, "In case anyone had any doubts about where the media stands this should take care of it. The bias against @realDonaldTrump is now so obvious they have simply given up hiding it."

Trump Jr. added, "Can you trust anything they say at this point? Americans see the truth in job #s & in their wallets!" His rant comes on the heels of Steadman Graham saying O would "absolutely" run for President in 2020, if the people convinced her.

Prez Trump has not reacted. Yet.

Tonya Harding and director Tommy Wiseau walk into a Golden Globes party ... nope, not the start of a one-liner, but something that actually happened.

The duo took this pic at a party Sunday, after the award show where both were thanked by actors who portrayed them in movies about their lives.

James Franco invited Tommy onstage after winning best actor in a comedy for his role in "The Disaster Artist" ... a movie based on Tommy making "The Room" -- largely considered the best worst movie ever made.

Kinda funny ... Tommy tried grabbing the mic as James started his thank-you speech.

Not to be outdone, Tonya also got a shout-out from Allison Janney after she won best supporting actress for playing Tonya's mom in "I, Tonya." See ... well deserved.

Aziz Ansari didn't settle for winning a Golden Globe, he immediately followed that up with another trophy -- a fresh bag of In-N-Out!

The "Master of None" star was double-fisting Sunday night -- his statuette in one hand, and his bag of burgers and fries in the other. He gave them equal billing, btw, holding up both at the same time for photogs as he and co-star Eric Wareheim strolled into the after-party at Poppy.

Gotta love their style!

Liev Schreiber knows the pressure points to make an airline find a passenger's lost luggage ... go on national TV and do a little shaming!!!

Delta Airlines has found the piece of luggage that never showed up at LAX ... a piece of luggage that clearly had significance to the "Ray Donovan" star.

Liev revealed his common plight during the red carpet pre-show on NBC, making it clear he'd do just about anything if Delta could find the bag. A Delta official tells TMZ, the airline worked directly with Liev and the bag was personally delivered to him overnight.

Liev said on social media he bought a really expensive bathing suit to go with his winter sweater to recover from the loss ... pretty funny.

It sounds like the bag contained his tux for the show and he got a new one in L.A.

Mariah Carey had a huge "oops" moment at the Golden Globes ... and no one was more understanding than Meryl Streep.

We got Mariah leaving Poppy in WeHo Sunday night and asked her about stealing Meryl's seat at one point during the show ... plopping down next to Steven Spielberg before realizing what she had just done.

Mariah felt terrible about it right after ... apologizing profusely. And it's obvious she still felt bad way after the show ended.

You know it's a movement when Oprah rocks the house with an historically powerful speech about #MeToo at the Golden Globe Awards ... which it is, 'cause she did.

Oprah delivered one hell of an acceptance speech after receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award -- with O being the first black woman to ever receive the honor ... a milestone in itself.

She touched on everything from race to gender inequality and lots of stuff in between -- but it wasn't until she rounded out her comments with a take on #MeToo that everyone got on their feet in applause.

Trying to explain this one won't do it justice ... ya really just gotta hear it for yourself.
