YG's gonna be a modern-day Jack Sparrow ... now that's he's commandeered a yacht for his new album listening party, and there's only one way fans can climb aboard.

The rapper's teaming with Postmates delivery service for his yacht party presented by WAV ... fans will vie for 400 spots on the boat by competing in a tech treasure hunt.

It starts by entering "Stay Dangerous" -- the title of YG's album -- on the Postmates app. That unlocks the exact location and time for the yacht pop-up party. The first 400 get a ticket. All we know is the party goes down Thursday, somewhere in the San Francisco area. Oh, and it's 21 and over.

Ben Trinh, head of entertainment and influencer marketing for Postmates, tells TMZ no artist has ever thrown an album listening pop up on a yacht before, so they brought the idea to YG and created an intimate experience that is exclusive to the postmates audience.

YG's album doesn't drop 'til August 3, and features artists like 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and Nicki Minaj, so those that do get a lucky spot aboard YG's yacht party are getting a helluva preview.

Big Sean's got big plans to get his pad just right for summer pool parties ... and that means making sure his kitchen's on point, too.

The rapper's obtained a building permit for his 7-bed, 8-bath, 11,000 sq. ft. Beverly Hills mansion -- which was formerly Slash's -- to remove and enlarge the window facing the swimming pool ... according to L.A. City docs.

There's also a permit for Sean's home to re-plaster the pool and add some new lighting.

But Big Sean's biggest project -- according to the docs -- is pumping around $22k into a remodeling job to his kitchen and bathroom.

Barack and Michelle Obama have decided 2 summers without a swimming pool were enough ... so with another summer around the corner, they are finally gonna build one.

Obama's post-presidential pad in Washington, D.C. -- the one they first rented back in 2016 and then plunked down $8.1 million to buy last year -- is undergoing construction for a new swimming pool.

According to building permits, obtained by TMZ, work includes construction for a brand spankin' new residential swimming pool ... an in-ground pool, of course. Barack was the 44th prez, after all. The pool will also feature a terrace of sorts.

Barack and Michelle got the permit application process going in January ... and there has been a series of reviews in the months that followed -- from plumbing and electrical to several mechanical corrections.

Von Miller's fishing expedition in Florida has ignited an investigation after PETA accused the NFL star of illegally catching a hammerhead shark ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Miller and some friends went fishing in Miami last week and reeled in the 9-and-a-half foot shark -- which they later threw back in the ocean.

PETA -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals -- went berserk over the footage ... accusing Von's group of illegally catching and killing the animal.

PETA vowed to follow up with wildlife officials and said they would "ensure Miller is held accountable."

The complaint got all the way to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission -- a government law enforcement agency that regulates hunting and fishing.

We spoke with FWC Public Information Coordinator Rob Klepper who tells us, "FWC has received the images and video and is looking into whether or not a violation occurred in this incident."

Unclear what the punishment would be if officials found Miller broke any laws -- we're looking into it.
