Cardi B and Offset took spontaneity to a whole new level -- they got married on a whim ... as in, the day he asked her to marry him.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ ... the Migos rapper woke up one September morning, looked at the "Bodak Yellow" rapper in the eye and straight-up said, "Marry me." She obviously said yes but, believe it or not, that impulse was only the beginning.

We're told, that same day Offset and Cardi -- who at this point, we're told was not pregnant -- hired an officiant to come to the house and marry them in their bedroom. The only person besides the officiant to witness the nuptials was Cardi's cousin.

It was such a spur-of-the-moment decision, there was obviously no time for an engagement ring, much less a wedding band. That brings us to the "public engagement" back in October. We're told that was NOT Offset proposing to Cardi. It was Offset keeping his promise to Cardi and getting her a ring. As we first reported ... at that point they had been married for at least a month.

As for why Offset ain't flaunting a wedding band ... our sources say he'll get one and wear it once there's an official wedding ceremony, which we're told will happen after Cardi pops.

1:22 PM PT -- Cardi just opened up about the wedding, saying, "There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are moments that I want to keep for myself! Getting married was one of those moments! Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn't want to lose each other."

She continues, "I said I do, with no dress no make up and no ring! I appreciate and love my husband so much for still wanting for me to have that special moment that every girl dreams of when he got down on his knee and put a ring on my finger and he did that for me!!

Cardi B and Offset are already married, and documents show they actually tied the knot MONTHS ago -- which explains why he's now calling her his "wife" in public.

We did some digging and found out they got a marriage certificate in Fulton County, GA on Sept. 20, 2017. For you single folks ... the marriage certificate is filed with the court AFTER a couple does the deed as proof the marriage really happened.

When Migos won Best Group Sunday at the BET Awards, Offset said excitedly, "I thank my wife. You should thank yours."

The secret marriage puts a new perspective on their big public engagement. You'll recall, Offset got down on one knee back in October during their performance in Philly.

Turns out ... Offset and Cardi are a true showbiz couple 'cause that was all for show. Now, we know they were already husband and wife for a month at that point.

The smiles on Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande say it all ... they're ecstatic together, and anyone hating on that, well, Pete's got a special message for ya too.

Pete and Ariana were hanging out in NYC over the weekend ... and they're practically inseparable at this point. The happily-engaged couple were all smiles and Pete had a little fun with paps ... cheerily flipping 'em the bird.

Kit Harington, aka Jon Snow from "Game of Thrones," married Rose Leslie, aka Jon Snow's former wildling lover Ygritte, in a ceremony Saturday at Kirkton of Rayne church in Scotland. Leslie's dad -- rocking a kilt -- walked her down the aisle.

The wedding was attended by several other 'GoT' stars -- like Peter Dinklage, Emlia Clarke, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams ... and the celebration's continuing at Rose's family castle.

That's right -- she's a descendant of King Charles II ... and her family owns a castle.

Kit and Rose quietly began dating after meeting on set of the show years ago, and got engaged in 2017.

Sources close to the Biebs tell TMZ ... Justin wanted to play a prank on paps by slipping a band on his left ring finger. He figured he'd sit back and watch the internet explode -- and that's pretty much what happened. Fans who posed with him wondered if he'd gotten hitched to Hailey Baldwin.

Tommy Lee is getting married on Valentine's Day 2019 and wants everyone to feel the love, even his estranged son, Brandon, who he still wants at his wedding.

Sources close to Tommy tell us he's planning on sending an invite to his eldest despite their drama over Father's Day. Y'know, Tommy called his sons "a**holes" and said they didn't value things ... then Brandon called Tommy an absentee father, and posted a vid of Tommy knocked out in March after their fight.

We're told Tommy's hoping time heals all wounds, with his wedding to Brittany Furlan still months away.

Our sources say Tommy thought he and Brandon put the KO behind them when he decided not to press charges. We're told Tommy only resorted to airing out their feud on social media because Brandon's blocked his number and emails.

All that said, we're told Tommy still tells friends he loves Brandon, and wants him at the wedding.

Pete Davidson is clearly over the moon to be engaged to Ariana Grande -- and he let Jimmy Fallon know it.

Davidson was on 'The Tonight Show' Wednesday and was asked straight-up about his engagement. Pete held nothing back, saying "it's f***in' lit."

It's the first time either Pete or Ariana has spoken publicly about their engagement ... and, given the way Pete opened up, we're guessing it won't be the last.

Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't officially said he's engaged to baby mama Georgina Rodriguez ... but her diamond ring was doing A LOT of talking at the Portugal game Wednesday in Russia!

There's been a lot of talk CR7 proposed to her back in April -- just months after she gave birth to their daughter, Alana Martina, back in November.

Cleveland Cavs player Larry Nance Jr. got married at an Ohio courthouse Tuesday and the dress code was as casual as it gets -- Yeezy shoes and Lululemon pants!

There's a story here ... the 25-year-old NBA player and his fiancee, Hailey Pince, were celebrating their 4-year anniversary and decided ... why not get married?

So, they hit the courthouse and made it happen!

"No makeup, hair in a quick ugly pony, Larry in some lulu lemon pants and yeezy’s," Hailey said in an IG post.

But this ain't about saving a buck or two ... Hailey says there's a big destination celebration coming down the pike.

"We needed to get the legal marriage done before our destination wedding and today just seemed like the best day to do it! Happy Four Years! Can't wait for our real wedding!"

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have been moving fast since they hooked up, and now it's onward and upward in the form of a super deluxe apartment in the sky.

The newly engaged couple just moved into a $16 MILLION apartment in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood ... it's a new luxury complex designed by famed architect Zaha Hadid.

Their unit is more than 4,000 sq. ft. with 5 beds and 4.5 baths, and features amazing views of the city and the Empire State Building. The complex has a fitness center, a 75-foot sky lit pool, a private IMAX theater ... and Sting as their neighbor.

It's unclear if Pete and Ariana dropped a ton of cash to buy the place or if they're just renting, but all signs point to a move over the weekend when she shared a SpongeBob meme with the caption, "Us in our new apartment with no furniture 1 speaker and red vines."

As we reported ... they were arm-in-arm Monday in NYC while out furniture shopping for their new digs, as she flaunted a huge rock on her finger.

Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande are battling over who's better at showing off -- Pete proudly parading around his smoking hot fiancée, or Ariana flaunting her massive engagement ring.

Pete and Ariana were arm-in-arm Monday in NYC -- shopping for furniture, btw -- and she made sure to keep her hand at the perfect tilt for photogs. Pretty obvious, she's thrilled with Pete's choice of ring.

Prince Harry wanted his future father-in-law to give Donald Trump a chance ... so claims Meghan Markle's father.

Thomas Markle gave a wide-ranging interview on "Good Morning Britain" and revealed Harry once tried talking him off the ledge over the Prez. Thomas said he had been in a bad mood about something Trump had just done when he got on the horn with Harry.

Thomas said, "I always have a bad attitude about Donald Trump and that's never gonna change. I have to apologize to the rest of the world for my president. All Harry actually said -- because Trump was new -- 'Give him a chance.' I think Harry's probably changed his mind by now. I certainly hope he has."

That's a stunning revelation given members of the Royal family are supposed to remain apolitical ... and especially interesting since Harry's boys with President Obama.

Thomas also said Brexit was loosely discussed ... Thomas says Harry told him he was "open to" the experiment of Britain leaving the European Union.

But lighter topics were also discussed ... Thomas dished on talking to Harry for the first time, and he also shared how Harry asked for his daughter's hand.

Pete Davidson was technically single when he started dating Ariana Grande ... TECHNICALLY, but "Friends" fans might not agree.

Sources close to the newly engaged couple say Pete and his ex-gf, Cazzie David, were "on a break" in early May -- but not necessarily broken up for good -- when his relationship with Ariana sparked. But they hit if off, and it quickly became clear Pete was serious about moving on with Ariana.

The good news -- it seems all parties involved are happy with the end result. As we reported, Cazzie's not upset or dwelling on her ex's quick rebound. Hey, if it's good enough for Ross and Rachel.

As for Ariana and Pete -- they're still in full PDA mode with Davidson posting a pic wrapped up with his fiancee, captioned ... "u know what you’d dream it be like ? it’s better than that."

Pete Davidson's ex isn't moping after their breakup and his lightning fast rebound/engagement to Ariana Grande.

Multiple sources tell TMZ ... Cazzie David is already moving on post-breakup from the 'SNL' comedian. We're told she's not dwelling on the drama surrounding Pete and Ariana's instant engagement -- namely the timeline of his breakup from Cazzie and his hookup with the singer.

Cazzie took off for Africa shortly after she and Pete split in early May, but we're told the trip had been booked with friends long before -- and was in no way a spur-of-the-moment distraction from the breakup.

Oh, and that June 1 IG post -- after getting home -- saying, "what'd I miss ??"

It seems to be dripping in sarcasm aimed at Pete, but our sources say that ain't so. We're told she was fully aware about Ariana at that point, but the post was a genuine shout-out to friends ... letting them know she was back from a safari, where she'd had no Internet.

Brody Jenner and his bride are back in L.A. after their kick-ass destination wedding ... but they're obviously still kinda salty about Caitlyn deciding NOT to attend.

We got Brody and Mrs. Kaitlynn Carter Jenner Wednesday evening at LAX as they returned from tying the knot on an exotic Indonesian island. We asked Brody if there were any plans to send a video of their magical day to anyone (*cough, cough* Caitlyn) who might have missed the wedding.

Brody scoffed at the idea but you have to see what the missus stepped in and said -- a barely subtle jab.
