The timer has gone off on the marriage between TV chef Giada de Laurentiis and her fashion designer husband Todd Thompson.

Giada -- who's been with Thompson since 2003 -- announced their split with a flowery Facebook post that makes it sound like this will be the most amicable break-up ever. In her post, Giada says they're moving forward separately, but doing what's best for their "family's happiness."

Giada and Todd have a 6-year-old daughter, Jade Marie.

No word on if either has filed divorce papers yet. They first separated back in July.

Chris Rock wants to make sure his now estranged wife doesn't punish him for divorcing her ... by keeping their kids away from him.

In his divorce docs, filed in NJ last Tuesday -- and obtained by TMZ -- Rock complains that Malaak has been preventing him from seeing their 2 daughters on a regular basis. He is asking for shared legal and physical custody of 12-year-old Lola and 10-year-old Zahra.

As for finances ... Rock acknowledges they had a prenup when they married in 1996 -- but says it's expired because they've been together for just over 18 years.

The split has been in the works for at least a month. In the docs, Rock says back in November they identified all the community property to be split up once they divorce.

Interestingly ... Rock points out Malaak has the "ability to work and contribute to her own support" -- which sounds like he's angling to reduce any spousal support payments.

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton spent Christmas Eve partying together -- and even though they're not reuniting -- based on pics from the bash ... some of her family wishes they would.

Robin looked like the most popular guy at the holiday fest thrown at Paula's house -- and her cousin posted photos of the singer all buddy-buddy with everyone in the fam. Except Paula.

A source close to Robin tells us it was totally normal for Paula to invite Robin because of their kid, Julian. But c'mon -- look at the photos -- it's not normal for her family to show him so much love.

Khloe Kardashian isn't bailing on her divorce -- she fully intends to follow through one year after filing -- the problem is she can't schedule a sit down with Lamar Odom.

Sources close to the Kardashian's tell us Khloe has been unable to meet with her estranged husband to finalize terms of the divorce with their lawyers ... despite numerous attempts.

We're told the ex-basketball star isn't responding to calls from Khloe or her attorney -- and he's very rarely popped up in public. Certainly not long enough to make things official. Our camera guys spotted LO 3 weeks ago ... and he seemed more than fine leaving the divorce/marriage in limbo.

Remember, Lamar once said he wasn't convinced Khloe would see the divorce through.

However, KK definitely wants to cut the cord for good. We're told her best case scenario is meeting Lamar to settle up -- but worst case ... she will file a default judgment if he doesn't respond soon.

Chris Rock's marriage is kaput -- he's filed to divorce his wife of nearly 20 years.

Malaak Compton-Rock released a statement Sunday to People saying, "After much contemplation and 19 years of marriage, Chris and I have decided to go our separate ways."

She adds, "While recognizing that this is a significant change, my children remain at the center of my life and their well-being is my top priority."

Chris' lawyer confirmed he's already filed docs. TMZ broke the story ... back in 2006 Chris had divorce papers drawn up, but never filed once he and Malaak worked things out.

The 49-year-old comedian and his wife got married in 1996. They have two daughters -- 12-year-old Lola Simone and 10-year-old Zahra Savannah.

Mally Mall dropped one on us at LAX Wednesday ... saying he's doing an album with Nick Cannon next year and there are references to Mariah Carey ... some of which are NOT flattering.

The mega hip-hop producer first made it sound like Nick played nice in describing his relationship, but then he half took it back and said Nick's comments will be "controversial."

From all we've heard, Nick's trying to put a good face on his current relationship with Mariah, making it appear they're getting along much better as friends than as husband and wife.

Clint Eastwood is officially a single man ... his divorce from wife Dina is final.

According to docs filed in Monterey County Superior Court, the marriage of Clint and Dina ended Monday. The couple struck a property settlement and custody agreement, but details are thin.

As TMZ previously reported, Clint attempted to block Dina from getting spousal support ... claiming money to which she was entitled was covered by their prenup. It's unclear if the terms of the prenup were honored in the settlement, but typically there's give and take in these divorce agreements.

Dina requested primary physical custody of their daughter, but she's 18 now so the issue is moot.

The couple separated in June 2012 and Dina filed for divorce last December.

Kris and Bruce Jenner have settled their divorced ... TMZ has learned, and the goodies have been divided, with Bruce scoring several million from his ex.

A L.A. County judge has signed the legal docs.

It's about as clean a divorce as possible. As we previously reported, they did not sign a prenup. Kris gets the family house and they divided up various bank accounts and other assets.

We're told based on the settlement agreement ... neither Kris nor Bruce will get spousal support. As for 17-year-old Kylie, she's so close to becoming an adult they share joint custody and each parent will foot the bill while she's with them.

Under the agreement, Kris has to pay Bruce $2.5 million to equalize things.

Kris gets a 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost, a 2014 Bentley and a 2014 Land Rover. Bruce gets a 2011 Porsche 997 Coupe, a 2013 Cadillac Escalade and a 2007 Harley motorcycle.

Kris filed for divorce in September, citing irreconcilable differences. She listed the date of separation as June 1, 2013.

They each get to keep their airline miles.

It looks like the actual date they are legally allowed to tie the knot with someone else is March 23, 2015 ... but the fat lady has sung.

They're on the market folks.

Actress Tasha Smith has jumped from filing a restraining order against her estranged husband ... to slapping him with divorce papers ... and right off the bat it's costing her a bundle of cash.

The "Why Did I Get Married?" star sought the split after she and Keith Douglas filed dueling TROs against each other -- and since she's the bread winner in the family ... the judge is making her pay him $50k in spousal support up front.

We broke the stories ... a judge ordered Smith to stay a bizarre 2 yards away from Douglas -- while they were estranged, but still shacking up in the same house. A week later she filed similar docs to get protection from him.

They'll be back in court next month for the restraining orders. As for the $50k payment -- we're told that's just to hold Douglas over until a permanent support agreement is hammered out in divorce court.

Tyler Perry and his 'WDIGM?' writers should be taking notes.

Deion Sanders' ex-wife was sentenced to seven days behind bars today for failing to return their kids in a timely manner ... as they agreed to do in their divorce agreement.

Pilar Sanders was found in contempt, and immediately taken into custody. The judge ruled she did not bring their 3 children back to do Deion on time after a visit last July -- and also took them when it wasn't her turn.

According to local reports, Pilar did not have an attorney with her ... and at one point told the court, “I am not a part of the United States corporation." As we first told you ... Pilar now believes she can only be judged by the Moroccan Empire (which does not exist).

Astrid McGuire can handle celebrity asses, but she's done with her husband's -- the famed trainer is calling it quits on her marriage.

McGuire filed papers in L.A. last month after ten very healthy -- on her end at least -- years of marriage to husband, Michael Heier McGuire.

Whipping stars like Christina Applegate and Julianne Hough into shape at Barry's Bootcamp has put her in high demand -- and she's modeled since she was 15.

According to the divorce docs ... divvying up of their property will be handled by a written agreement -- so, should be a clean split.

Brandon Jay MClaren, who used to kick ass as the Red Ranger, ain't feeling so mighty right now -- his wife has filed for legal separation.

According to court docs, MClaren's estranged wife, Mieka Tennant, is seeking a split after nearly 3 years. They don't have any kids, but Mieka -- a big time Hollywood publicist -- is demanding spousal support during the separation.

MClaren's "Power Rangers S.P.D." days are long gone, but he's nabbed roles on "The Killing," "Falling Skies" and "Graceland."

Tennant will disagree, but BJ's still Zord of the Manor to us.

Terrence Howard just got busted making too much cash ... according to his ex, who says even though he's getting big paychecks for a new TV show -- he still refuses to pay up the $500k he owes.

Michelle Howard says she filed a subpoena to get Terrence's contract for his new series "Empire" -- and found out he's making $125k per filmed episode. Then she went to imdb.com and found out he's shot 3 so far ... did the math ... and figured he's got a cool $375,000 to put toward his tab with her.

In the docs, Michelle says Terrence owes the cash to her, her attorneys, and also for late fees since he continues to stiff her. As we previously reported ... Terrence filed docs back in July, claiming he was broke as a joke and couldn't make the payments.

Scott Stapp's downward spiral continues ... he has lost custody of his 3 kids.

A Florida judge has ruled ... the former Creed frontman's soon-to-be ex-wife Jaclyn will have sole legal and physical custody of their 3 kids. There's no indication from the ruling that Scott even gets visitation.

The judge also ruled Scott has no right to stay in the family home -- it's exclusively for Jaclyn and the kids.

Scott has been off the rails for a while ... Jaclyn says he's delusional because he's taking a pharmacy of drugs, including coke, weed and meth. She's trying to get him involuntarily committed for 60 days.

"Dukes of Hazzard" star John Schneider is headed for divorce court ... and it's all his wife's doing.

Elvira Schneider filed legal docs citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple married in July, 1993. They have 2 adult kids.

Elvira is asking for spousal support.

As for John ... it will be his second divorce. He was previously married to former L.A. news anchor and Miss America Tawny Little.

Ex-NFL great Keyshawn Johnson is caught in the middle of a model's break-up with her husband -- who thinks she's been cheating with Johnson ... and has filled his court papers with lurid messages.

Alicia Tarry's husband just filed docs seeking an annulment of their 6-month marriage based on fraud. The docs include scores of Twitter direct messages Johnson and Tarry allegedly sent to each other.

The DMs include some racy language about arranging possible hook-ups between Alicia and Johnson. One DM says, "Send me a p**** shot." The response, "I'll get one in a few sorry have a guest over."

It appears Tarry's husband got hold of her phone or her Twitter account ... because one of the alleged DMs to Keyshawn -- says, "Please leave my wife Alicia alone."

Alicia tells us she did not cheat with Keyshawn, and further ... she says the DMs "appear suspicious" and were illegally obtained.
