Grand Jury Indicts Nick Prugo

Published | Updated

TMZ has learned Nick Prugo has been indicted by the L.A. County Grand Jury -- in connection with his alleged role in the Burglar Bunch crime spree.

It's unclear why the D.A. took the case to the Grand Jury, since prosecutors have already charged Prugo with numerous felonies, in connection with the burglaries of Audrina Patridge, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Brian Austin Green, and Megan Fox.

An L.A. County Superior Court judge will formally receive the Grand Jury indictment this morning. The judge will then set bail.

As for why the D.A. went to the Grand Jury, there are a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that there will be no preliminary hearing. At a prelim, the celeb victims might be forced to testify, and this is a way to avoid that spectacle.

We're also told the D.A. goes to the Grand Jury when the scope of the case and the charges expand.

UPDATE: Another Burglar Bunch Defendant, Courtney Ames, just showed up in court. We do not know if the Grand Jury also indicted her.

UPDATE 12:15 PM PT: The whole BB crew -- Nick Prugo, Rachel Lee, Diana Tamayo, Courtney Ames, and Roy Lopez Jr. -- all pled not guilty today.

Eddie Cibrian's Love Nest Emptied ... Officially

Published | Updated

Eddie Cibrian just ditched the last tangible trace of his marriage to Brandi Glanville -- the multi-million dollar house they used to share just outside Los Angeles.

A private buyer snapped up the former Casa de Cibrian for about $2.2 million. Clearly, Brandi meant it when she told us Calabasas wasn't big enough for her, Eddie and his new GF LeAnn Rimes.

By the way, the title transfer -- filed last month with the L.A. County Recorder -- still lists Brandi and Eddie as husband and wife. Their divorce isn't final yet.

Great time for Eddie to sell though -- he just got dropped from "CSI: Miami."

Burglar Bunch Dude I Got Screwed

Published | Updated

Nick Prugo -- an alleged member of The Burglar Bunch -- claims in new legal docs police and prosecutors betrayed him by using information he gave them to throw the book at him.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Prugo claims he provided assistance in cracking the case -- assistance cops even said was "nothing short of remarkable."

Prugo says he had an "implied contract" with prosecutors -- in return for his cooperation, he'd get a plea bargain. But Prugo says "the prosecution has chosen to exploit Nick Prugo's cooperation" -- instead of offering a plea bargain, Prugo claims prosecutors used the info he gave them to file additional charges against him.

Prugo and other alleged members of the BB have been charged with burglarizing the homes of various celebs, including Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Orlando Bloom.

Prugo also says in the docs he's received death threats from Jonathan Ajar -- aka Johnny Dangerous.

Brittny 'Shocked' She Was Burglar Bunch Target

Published | Updated

Brittny Gastineau was scared to learn she was a possible target for the Burglar Bunch -- and she's even more horrified about the whole thing "being glorified for reality television." Or at least a show she isn't in.

As we first reported, Gastineau was among the celebrity names police said Nick Prugo and the gang scoped out for possible burglaries. Brittny tells us, "I was shocked to learn I was on this supposed burglary list -- it is a horrible, invasive feeling to think someone was planning something so horrific. Even more disappointing is that something as serious as this is being glorified for reality television."

Alleged Burglar Bunch member Alexis Neiers -- who has an E! show premiering tonight -- fired back, telling us, "First of all, Brittny who? I have no idea who she is. It's sad that she would say something without hearing my side of the story. I feel really bad that society has judged me when I haven't had a chance to present a defense. It will all come out on my show."

Lamar Odom's House -- Now with Furniture!

Lamar Odom hasn't been able to move his $2.39 million pad, so he gave it a makeover to help sell it.

We're told Lamar wants to move the Manhattan Beach house ASAP, so he cut the realtor a check to get the staging done it to make it more presentable. Lamar and his new wife, Khloe, just threw down a chunk of change on a place in Tarzana -- a cool $3.995 million.

BTW -- the furniture doesn't even come with the house. For $2.39 mil, you'd think he'd throw in a sofa at least.
