Nate Bargatze has pulled off some pretty impressive achievements in his comedy career -- like hosting the 2025 Emmy Awards ceremony -- and we're thinking he's had some pretty solid backing along the way ... especially from his wife Laura.

The comedian and his longtime partner have been together ever since their days back in Nate's home state of Tennessee -- she's from Alabama -- and she's seen him go from his early days in stand-up comedy to gracing some of the most glitzy stages out there.

We're going to take a look into the background of the performer's spouse and see how she's taken an active role in furthering her husband's success.

Laura's professional career started at Applebee's, where she worked as a server and later as a marketing coordinator ... we'll touch on this again in a little bit.

The comedian's wife -- who earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Middle Tennessee State University, according to her LinkedIn -- became a corporate event planner after she moved to New York City.

Laura remained in the role for a decade before she began working with her husband in 2019, when she started serving as an executive producer on his podcast.

In addition, she works as a talent manager at Bargatze Enterprises.

Remember how we said Laura worked at Applebee's when she was younger? Well, it turns out she met Nate while they were employed at the same Nashville location.

The two dated for several years before the comedian popped the big question in 2005, and they married the following year -- on Friday the 13th.

Nate and Laura started a family in 2012 when they welcomed a daughter named Harper, who's since shown up in several of her father's stand-up specials.

Although the Bargatzes lived in both New York and Los Angeles at the start of the performer's career, they eventually decided to move back to Tennessee, where they currently reside.

Nate's been pretty open about how Laura's been a good sport about their personal life being the subject of his routines ... hey, being in a relationship with a comedian has its perks.

He spoke about their dynamic in an interview with People, and claimed he follows a rule -- if he makes jokes about her habits, he then has "to make fun of me times two."

The comedian admitted he had to figure out how to make the jokes about his relationship not come off as overly critical at the start of his career, and said he had to learn to make his lines about Laura seem as if they were coming "from a place of love."

Madison later began an on-off relationship with Zack Bia, and although they called time on their romance in 2019, he described her as part of his "family" in an interview with GQ.

She eventually ended up with social media personality Nick Austin, although their fans began speculating about the state of their romance after they unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Madison and Herbert first sparked dating rumors in August 2025, when he was spotted on the set of what appeared to be one of the singer's music video shoots.

We actually saw them when they arrived at a friend's house in Redondo Beach, California, the same month ... and they looked pretty cozy together, to be honest.

"American Pickers" star Mike Wolfe may be on the mend after a scary car crash ... but his girlfriend, Leticia, has a long road to recovery, according to Wolfe's reps.

Spokespeople for the reality star tell TMZ ... Mike has been discharged from the hospital, but is remaining by Leticia's side as she recovers from a serious car accident they were involved in over the weekend. Mike was transported by ambulance and treated for a broken nose, injured knee, and facial lacerations that required stitches.

Leticia wasn't as fortunate, with reps telling us Mike's GF is set to have multiple surgeries next week after breaking her jaw, ribs, and sternum in the collision. She also suffered a partially collapsed lung and was airlifted from the scene.

The rapper and the singer have been together for several years, and she was by his side while he was going through an extended legal battle ... in other words, she's a real one!

Her debut record, titled "Master," was released the following year, and its follow-up, "Ry Ry World," came out in 2021.

Mariah released two more records, "To Be Eaten Alive" and "Hearts Sold Separately" in 2023 and 2025, respectively.

She's also been a featured artist on various tracks, and she's worked with performers like NBA YoungBoy and Tee Grizzley over the course of her career.

Mariah's past hasn't always been the cleanest, however, as she was arrested following an altercation in Atlanta in May 2025.

The alleged victim in the incident told authorities the singer launched an unprovoked attack on her at a bar-restaurant, during which the singer reportedly ripped off the victim's wig and dragged her on the floor.

The alleged victim went on to claim she'd never interacted with Mariah or the performer's friends.

Mariah ended up booked on a simple battery charge, and she bonded out of jail.

Mariah and Young Thug were first linked back in 2021, when he was a featured artist on her track "Walked In" on "Ry Ry World."

The pair eventually started dating, and they went on to collaborate on the 2023 track "Ride," which she described as a "love song" in an interview with Complex.

Mariah served as a source of support for her boyfriend over the length of the YSL racketeering trial, and she remained close to him during his time in jail.

Akon's seen plenty of ups and downs throughout his career as a singer, and it looks like he's going to be dealing with some pretty big changes in his personal life in the near future ... because his wife Tomeka Thiam filed for divorce in September 2025.

What makes the split all the more shocking is the performer and his estranged wife had been together for a really, really long time before she decided she wanted out of the marriage.

We're going to take a look into the personal and professional lives of the songwriter's soon-to-be ex-wife and see what led up to the end of their relationship.

Akon's not the only musically inclined person in his family, as his estranged wife's been releasing music under the name Amirror for several years.

Her first single on Spotify, titled "Real Love," made its debut in 2020, and she released two more singles, "Move" and "Far Away," in 2021 and 2023, respectively.

Thiam's debut album as Amirror, "REFLXNS," was released in 2024, and it was preceded by the release of a track titled "Run It," which was included on the album.

Akon served as the record's executive producer, and he was also listed as a featured artist on "Far Away."

Thiam and Akon had been together for nearly three decades prior to their breakup, as she listed their wedding date as September 15, 1996.

It's worth noting Akon's marital history could be a bit complicated, as he's reportedly a fan of polygamy, although it didn't seem to be a problem for Thiam, as she claimed his partners "don’t have to see each other" on an episode of "Rie Wit the Tea."

She offered further insight into her marriage in an interview with Us Weekly, where she described "loyalty and commitment" as the keys to success in her relationship with the singer.

Thiam and Akon became parents over the course of their marriage, as they share a 17-year-old daughter named Journey, according to People.

The end of Akon and Thiam's relationship is a bit murky, as she listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind their split.
