Executive Producer Marc Fiore tells TMZ ... he has ended negotiations with Lindsay's team because, "It just didn't work for me." Sources involved on both sides tell TMZ ... money was an issue, but the various demands of her management team just got out of control.

Fiore wanted Lindsay to play Victoria Gotti, but says "I will only ride a merry-go-round with my kids," suggesting Lindsay's team was just too tough to deal with.

But this is interesting. Fiore tells us the door has not been slammed shut: "Maybe if Lindsay calls me up, we can talk about it."

Hudson was out in L.A. last night ... where he told us he's heard the rumors ... but he has NOT received an official offer for "G3" ... and says he has "no idea" if it's ever going to happen.

Sources intimately familiar with production tell TMZ, Florence was chosen because "it's young, walkable, fashionable, and beautiful in springtime" ... and, BTW, riddled with alcohol-guzzling clubgoers.

But we're told the cast ain't doing the city like your average tourists -- according to sources, they won't be living at a normal house ... or a normal hotel ... but our sources are mum on exactly where they will be staying.

TMZ has obtained documents filed by Paul Michael Glaser -- in which the actor begs a judge to slap a restraining order against the woman who used to run his official website.

In the docs, filed last week in L.A. County Superior Court, 68-year-old Paul claims the woman is so obsessed with him -- she followed him to England three years ago to watch him perform in a play ... a play she attended 23 TIMES!

Paul also claims she's fired off more than 500 emails to him over the past two years in which she exhibits "both a rational and very irrational side."

Glaser adds, "I am about to start a tour with my book, and given [the woman's] behavior, I fear for my safety."

A rep for the Italian interest group -- called UNICO National -- took no mercy on the new show ... telling TMZ, "Mob Wives" is "trash TV like 'Jersey Shore.' I hope it dies because no one watches it."

The rep adds, "We were mobsters and mafiosos with 'The Sopranos,' bimbos and buffoons with 'Jersey Shore,' and now we're back where we started. It's a disgrace."

It's been in the works for a while -- and an hour ago, the deal was sealed.

Pia's performance signifies a borderline incestuous cross-pollination between the two biggest shows on TV ... "American Idol" and "Dancing."

And if that's not enough -- Pia will be back on "Idol" tomorrow for a special cast-off reunion.

TMZ spoke to the man who CREATED the terminator, James Cameron ... and to commemorate the fact that we're all still alive, he gave us the following statement:

"Kyle Reese said in the first film that it was only 'one possible future.' Clearly, not the one we're in. Maybe Kyle, Sarah, John and the T-800 changed things enough to steer us away from that possible future."

Cameron adds, "Now instead of nuclear war and the machines taking over, we need to worry about global climate change. And the machines taking over. With everybody going through their lives bent over their Blackberries all day long, you could even argue the machines have already won."

Paz just appeared in criminal court in Manhattan -- where the D.A. filed 5 misdemeanor charges against de la Huerta ... including two counts of 3rd degree assault, 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon, attempted assault, and harassment.

The judge also granted a temporary restraining order against Paz -- which even prohibits Paz from contacting Samantha on Facebook.

As we first reported, Paz allegedly threw a drinking glass at Samantha and punched her in the face during a party at the Standard Hotel on March 22.

Paz is due back in court on May 19.

UPDATE: Prosecutors told the judge Paz trashed Samantha during her stint in the police station on the night of the incident ... saying, "I'm a REAL actress -- HBO! She's a publicity seeker, a FAKE actress."

TMZ has learned ... Charlie's lawyer, Mark Gross, will ask L.A. County Superior Court Judge Hank Goldberg to allow his client to take full custody of Bob and Max. Gross wants the judge to let Charlie do what other performers are allowed to do -- take their kids with them on the road during the last two weeks of the tour.

TMZ broke the story -- Harrison was arrested in Big Bear, CA for battery and resisting arrest after a drunken confrontation with a local biker.

Now, officials at the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office tell us ... prosecutors have reviewed the Sheriff's report and decided there wasn't enough evidence to convict Harrison ... so they dropped the case.

A rep for the film, "Medallion" tells us production on the flick has NOT been "affected in any way" because of Cage's sloppy domestic violence arrest early Saturday morning ... and today, things seemed "completely normal."

According to sources close to the production of "Gotti: Three Generations" ... Executive Producer Marc Fiore released Cassavetes because of scheduling conflicts with another film he was shooting.

We're told the hunt has already begun for a new director.

TMZ broke the story ... Cage was busted by New Orleans police after arguing with his wife and allegedly taunting cops. According to the NOPD, Cage and his wife were arguing over the location of the apartment they were renting -- as in, Nic didn't have a clue where he was.

According to eye witnesses ... before Cage was popped, he stopped by a tattoo parlor and began throwing his clothes around, demanding to get inked up.

In case you forgot, Sheen was VERY outspoken about his belief that 9/11 was a conspiracy -- and famously remarked how the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings looked like a "controlled demolition."

Now, Mark Dice, a prominent member of The 9/11 Truth Movement, tells us his fellow conspiracy theorists are pissed -- because they feel Charlie has abandoned their cause.

Mark tells us Charlie should be "asking hard questions about what happened on 9/11 and the resulting wars ... not bragging about smoking crack and sleeping with hookers."

As TMZ first reported, Cage was arrested this morning in New Orleans on charges of domestic violence and disturbing the peace after an alleged argument with his wife Alice.

Sources tell TMZ they were the ones who helped get Nic out of jail -- he was being held on $11,000 bond.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Nic was "very drunk" on the streets of N.O. when a cab driver saw him loudly arguing with his wife Alice.

We're told the cabbie called the police and said in addition to the screaming and yelling ... he saw Nic grab her.

We're told the police came and told Nic and his wife to just go home. That's when Nic allegedly told cops, "Why don't you just arrest me?" The cops then reiterated that he and his wife should just go home. Cage then repeated his dare to cops.

At that point, police took Nic into custody and charged him with ...domestic abuse and disturbing the peace.

We're also told Nic's wife is not a complaining witness and does not want him charged -- and says there was no physical contact.

UPDATE 10:27 AM PT -- A bond has been set at $11,000.

UPDATE 11:20 AM PT -- Cage has been released.
