The NFL Hall of Famer says MJ was VERY smart about growing his business -- appealing to women -- and it paid off huge. He thinks MJ has too big of a lead for LeBron to catch up.
Even Wright -- captain of the LeBron James fan club -- admits Carter has a solid point ... but couldn't leave without taking one last dig at the original #23.

Chris 'Big Black' Boykin's clothing line was in the midst of a comeback ... but his untimely death brought those plans to a screeching halt.
Chris' personal manager, Mark Shin, tells TMZ ... Big Black clothing was strongly considering a relaunch fueled by continuing popularity and demand. The brand had stopped licensing and sales over the last year while strategizing their next business deal.
We're told that effort was put on pause following Chris' death Tuesday. Mark says he was the heart and soul of the brand and there were questions whether it could continue without him.
However, Mark tells us the brand's now considering a small launch with the sole purpose of having proceeds benefit Chris' daughter, Isis.
As we reported ... Chris was smart about investing his money to help set up Isis financially.

Carolina Herrera Nephew Murdered After Abduction in Venezuela
8:15 AM PT -- Carolina just issued a statement, saying ... "The family and I appreciate your kindness. Our only hope is that the tragic assassination of our young nephew, Reinaldo and his colleague, Fabrizio will serve to mitigate the terrible carnage and murders that are committed against our youth in Venezuela. The Electoral Results must be respected. The Communist Dictatorship must go."
The nephew of international fashion designer Carolina Herrera -- who's famously dressed First Ladies for decades -- was found dead in a truck in Venezeula after a violent kidnapping gone wrong.
Herrera's 34-year-old nephew, Reinaldo, was reportedly abducted from a restaurant in Caracas on Thursday night. The attackers also took his 31-year-old business partner, Fabrizio Mendoza, hostage.
Officials say a ransom was paid, but the gang killed the men anyway and left their bodies in a truck on a highway just outside the city.
Carolina is a Venezuelan-American designer known for dressing various First Ladies ... including Jackie Onassis, Laura Bush, Michelle Obama and Melania Trump.
She's scheduled to receive the 2017 Designer of Excellence Award in Chicago on Monday. We're told the event will still take place, but the president of Herrera's company will accept the award on her behalf due to the tragedy.
'Big Little Lies' Twins Score Modeling Gig ... TV Wardrobe Pays Off Big Time
Two of the youngest stars of "Big Little Lies" are still riding the HBO miniseries' wave of success ... and they have the show's stylist to thank for their latest gig.
Twins Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti just wrapped their debut modeling campaign for Ralph Lauren. We're told they shot last week in L.A. and this week in NYC, and we can expect to see their work in the winter.
Sources close to the bros tell us ... a Ralph Lauren honcho was a fan of the show and took notice of their wardrobe -- the boys were always decked out in RL. We're told it was just a coincidence -- not a pre-arranged deal with HBO. The RL exec just like how the kids rocked their clothes.
Our sources say Cam and Nic enjoyed being first-time models and want to do it again ... along with acting. Good to have options at 9.

Zach Randolph Rocks Trailblazers Hat to the Club
It was Way Back Wednesday for Zach Randolph -- who rocked a Portland Trail Blazers hat to the club last night ... despite the fact he's still technically on the Memphis Grizzlies.
Randolph becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season -- and there's a buzz he could head to Miami or Denver ... or maybe even strike a new deal with the Grizzlies.
So, is the Trail Blazers hat he rocked to Warwick in Hollywood on Wednesday a clue ... or a throwback?
Remember, he played with Portland from 2001 to 2007 and became a superstar there while playing with guys like Rasheed Wallace, Bonzi Wells and Damon Stoudamire ('memba the Jail Blazers?).
Or maybe he just liked the hat with his outfit.
We'll see ...

Barack Obama Goes Vogue in Milan
Barack Obama couldn't just lose his signature tie during a speech in Milan -- he decided put some skin in the game.
Obama sported a straight-up trendy look during his keynote speech at the Seeds&Chips: Global Food Innovation Summit Monday in one of the biggest fashion capitals in the world. We gotta say ... he pulled it off.
The ex-prez talked climate change, post-presidency life and even took a shot at Trump, saying, "You get the politicians you deserve" when people don't vote.
The discussion seemed to be all business, even if the attire was all casual.
Gianni Versace Murder Scene Recreated For 'American Crime Story'
It looks as real as it gets ... a gunman aiming at a man who's the spitting image of Gianni Versace on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion and seemingly firing twice.
Darren Criss is the man with the gun, shooting for "Versace: American Crime Story" as he aims at Edgar Ramirez.
It's interesting ... the mansion is right on the boardwalk, so secrecy in filming is not an option. Still, everyone knows how it ends, but sounds like this one will be gripping.

Future College Hoops Superstars We'll Wear Lonzo's Shoe ... But We Ain't Paying $500
Some huge basketball stars say they'll happily rock Lonzo Ball's new shoe ... and are willing to pay the special price of free 99 ... 'cause the whole $500 dollar thing ain't happening, ever.
We were out at LAX and ran into Mo Bamba & Kris Wilkes ... two 5-star basketball recruits according to Rivals, and asked them if they'd play in Lonzo's shoe.
It's an especially good question for Wilkes, he's actually headed to UCLA next year, where he'll be hooping alongside one of the younger Ball brothers ... LiAngelo.
Good news and bad news for LaVar ... both kids said they'd play in the shoe, but NEITHER said they'd be willing to pay the insane $500 price tag.
Looks like the youth are finally wising up.

Warriors Coach Mike Brown Laughs Hysterically At Lonzo's $500 Shoe
It's safe to say Mike Brown will NOT be shelling out $500 for Lonzo Ball's sneakers.
The Golden State Warriors assistant coach was asked about the ex-UCLA star's debut ZO2 shoes before Thursday night's win over the Jazz ... and his reaction is absolutely priceless.
The reporter asks: “Would you buy your kids a pair of shoes for $500 from an unproven NBA player after college?”
Mike Brown says he won't be buying LaVar Ball's $500 signature LO2's...or his $200 pair of flip flops pic.twitter.com/HZwhGchwBA
@KNBR
Brown lets out a great laugh before shooting down the idea. And he's not alone ... Shaq also scoffed at the expensive kicks on Twitter, saying "Real Big Baller Brands don't over charge kids for shoes."
Lonzo's dad, Lavar, responded to the haters on Twitter last night, saying "Big Baller's loose! If you can't afford the ZO2'S, you're NOT a BIG BALLER!"

Danielle Bregoli Takes On Walmart! Cash Me Outside If You Use My Slogan
Danielle Bregoli is going after Walmart for ripping off her catchphrase, and plastering it all over its merchandise without paying her a cent.
The "Cash Me Outside" girl's legal team -- yes, she has one -- fired a letter off to the retail giant demanding it pull all 15 articles of clothing -- including tees, tank tops and hoodies -- from its online store in the next 5 days.
If Walmart fails to do so, Danielle's team says it can expect to catch a lawsuit.
Danielle's lawyers also want to know how much dough Walmart's already made off the apparel -- presumably to get a cut. They're serious about protecting her slogan ... which, believe it or not, just earned her an MTV Movie Award nom in the "Trending" category.
A Walmart rep says they haven't seen Danielle's letter yet, but it takes her claim seriously and will investigate.
