Birdman's legal war with Lil Wayne is back to square one, because Weezy continues to drop major disrespect on his ex-mentor's name.

Sources close to the situation tell us ... lawyers for the 2 camps were close to reaching a deal -- one meeting away, in fact -- when Wayne publicly dissed Birdman by changing the lyrics in "I'm Me" from a Cash Money shout-out to a Jay Z shout-out.

We're told Birdman has his own beef with Jay, which made Wayne's diss sting even more. Lil Wayne's "Suck my d***!" at that same show didn't help either -- so he pulled the plug on negotiations.

The bottom line, we're told, is if they're ever gonna settle the $51 million lawsuit ... both sides need to stop jawing in public.

Jason Derulo was right in the middle of a nightclub brawl that stopped only after sheriff's deputies brandished their weapons.

It's unclear what started the fight around closing at 2:00 AM in WeHo outside Bootsy Bellows. You see Jason fully jump into a circle of guys with one on the ground getting punched and kicked.

L.A. County sheriff's deputies swarmed the area ... some carrying stun bag rifles, which deploy little bags with beads. It appears no shots were fired, but just the presence of cops was enough to end things.

The NFL legend teamed up with Bellator, Spike and Veterans Operation Wellness to do some MMA training with U.S. Army veterans at the Smash Gym in Northern California on Tuesday ... and actually looked pretty good.

At one point, he squared off with J.T. Roswell -- who's fighting at Bellator 165 on Saturday -- and even though he got his hands near Roswell's face, things changed quickly ... and it was tap city.

Jake Harris was found battered and bloodied on the side of the road after getting tossed from a vehicle ... according to law enforcement.

Cops tell TMZ ... the former "Deadliest Catch" star got in an SUV Saturday night with 2 to 3 other people after leaving a casino in Washington state, but got into a fight and was thrown out of the vehicle.

Sources close to the situation tell us Jake's ID, wallet and cash were stolen before he got 86'd from the car. Cops found him on the side of the road and took him home. Jake decided later to go to a hospital for a head wound, and we're told he's still in ICU.

Cops haven't identified any suspects. Jake's brother, Josh, posted a video about the attack.

Tim Adams, the man attacked says he does not plan to go forward with charges. The suspect's mother informed a local news outlet her son suffers form Asperger Syndrome.

An anti-Donald Trump protest at Ohio State University turned violent in one scary instant when one student attacked another on a flight of stairs.

Several OSU students marched across campus Monday night to protest Trump's Presidency, and ended up at the Student Union. One speaker was addressing the crowd from the stairs when he got tackled from behind, and smashed to the ground ... and then all hell broke loose.

A spokesperson for the university tells us the attacker was arrested for assault. The victim walked away without serious injuries.

Tyron Woodley says he's done Twitter beefin' with Conor McGregor -- and if the UFC superstar really wants to settle their score with their fists, Ty has a message -- "I'll be your huckleberry."

Woodley appeared on the "TMZ Sports" show (airs Monday night on FS1) -- and told the guys he knows McGregor doesn't want "real beef" ... he just acts like it for the cameras.

Lindsay Lohan got dragged into a brutal mess allegedly involving 2 Russians and a major ass whooping in one of the most outlandish Las Vegas tales we've ever heard.

A 24-year-old man told Vegas Metro cops ... 2 men came into his room at the Excalibur last month, took him in the bathroom and asked if he'd been talking smack on LiLo ... this according to a police report obtained by TMZ.

The man says he denied saying a peep about Lindsay, but the Russians beat him to a pulp anyway. That's his story and he's sticking to it. So, what's his connection to Lindsay?

The alleged victim tells us he met her at Coachella back in April. As for why 2 random Russian dudes tracked him down 6 months later in a different state -- he thinks they recognized him from Coachella.

For the record, Lindsay's camp says she doesn't know this guy from a hole in the ground, and cops say he refused to cooperate with their investigation. So, case closed.

Conor McGregor is barking up the wrong tree by picking a fight with Tyron Woodley -- because if they really did throw down, the Irishman would get BEAT THE HELL UP ... so say 2 fellow UFC stars.

As you know ... McGregor and Woodley went at it on Friday -- it started with an icy interaction at the weigh-in ... escalated on Twitter ... and got even nastier when they faced off in person Friday night.

Now, both Anthony Pettis and Aljamain Sterling are warning McGregor to think twice ... Woodley's no bitch.

A former NFL defensive lineman wound up in cuffs Tuesday night after allegedly attacking a bar patron and a security guard during Donald Trump's victory speech ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The man at the center of the incident is Shane Burton -- a solid DE who played 8 seasons in the NFL (Dolphins, Bears, Jets, Panthers) and even tackled Tom Brady in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

But according to law enforcement, Burton went berserk at Barney's Beanery in Burbank just before midnight on Nov. 8th ... allegedly pulling a man off a barstool and battering a security guard.

Officials says 42-year-old Burton then walked out of the bar -- but didn't get far. Officers found him nearby a short time later and say he was drunk and initially refused to cooperate.

Burton was eventually handcuffed -- placed under citizen's arrest by the security guard -- and hauled to a nearby jail.

Cops say the alleged victims suffered "scratches, minor abrasions and a torn shirt."
