Dr. H From 'Biggest Loser' Drops $5.5 Mil On Phat Pad ... Non-Fatties Welcome

Published | Updated

Dr. H from "Biggest Loser" doesn't just help fat people with their problems -- he dropped $5.5 million on a sick mansion in Malibu ... to help folks of all sizes change their lives!!!

The good doc -- Robert Huizenga -- purchased the 9,750-square-foot casa at auction in July. But we're told the place isn't for him ... Dr. H will be using it as a wellness retreat where people (with fat wallets) can focus on making lifestyle changes through fitness, meditation and yoga.

FYI: He owns another mansion-based retreat -- located in the Hollywood Hills -- focused on weight loss. We're told the Malibu site is NOT strictly about shedding lbs.

As for the primo pad -- five separate buildings, 10.2 acres, 7 bedrooms, 7 baths, 360-degree views of the Cali coastline, outdoor cabana, pond, and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, according to our friends at Trulia.

FUN FACTS: Before "Loser" Dr. H was the team physician for the L.A. Raiders and once wrote a book that inspired Oliver Stone's flick "Any Given Sunday."

And now you know.

Jake the Snake I Lost 70 Lbs Doing Yoga & I'm Ready to Rumble!

Published | Updated

Jake the Snake has downward-dogged his way to a better life ... the wrestling legend sweated off nearly 70lbs doing an intense yoga program ... and now he's hoping to get back in the ring.

The program Jake's been on was created by fellow wrestler Diamond Dallas Page -- called DDP Yoga -- and we're told Jake's been doing it for about 9 months now.

Diamond Dallas tells us ... a year ago when he met Jake he was "over 300lbs, on the booze, pain pills and crack." FYI -- it's well known that Jake suffered from substance abuse for years.

DDP tells us, he started Jake on the program, doing 1 or 2 sessions a day and eating clean. He says Jake not only shed the weight ... but it helped keep him clean and sober for months.

DDP says Jake now has a new goal (other than acting) -- doing one more Royal Rumble.

Jake tells TMZ ... he's making that goal a reality, explaining, "I will never give up ... I want a life again and I am pursuing that. The Rumble will define it."

Now check out Jake transforming ...

'Biggest Loser' Star Sued By Fitness Company You Can't Get Fat Again!!!

Published | Updated

As if re-gaining a bunch of weight wasn't bad enough, former "Biggest Loser" star Tara Costa is now being SUED for porking up again ... and it could cost her a lot of money, TMZ has learned.

FC Online Marketing -- which owns ILoveKickboxing.com -- has filed a lawsuit against Costa claiming it entered into a fitness promotional agreement with the reality star ... but she didn't hold up her end of the bargain.

The deal breaker ... FCOM says Costa -- who famously lost 155 POUNDS on "The Biggest Loser: Couples 2" back in 2009 -- had re-gained "far too much weight" in 2011 to represent the brand in photo shoots and public appearances.

FCOM says it paid Costa's foundation $45,000 in exchange for her image and likeness ... but since she got fat again, her image has lost all value to the company.

FCOM is now suing Costa for breaching the don't-get-fat agreement, demanding unspecified damages.

For what it's worth ... from Costa's recent Twitter pics, it appears she's back down to her fighting weight (or close to it) but FCOM insists the damage is already done. Attempts to reach Costa were not successful.

Disgraced chef Paula Deen has committed a far worse crime than using the N-word: she's committed MURDER ... of sorts ... according to Kid 'n Play rapper Chris Reed.

Chris is surprisingly forgiving of Paula's blunder -- he explains why (although, our guess is he hasn't seen THIS GEM yet).

But what Chris can't forgive ... what he calls her "greatest crime" ... is the very thing she's famous for. Think fried Twinkies. On second thought, just think of butter ... lots of butter.

Lady Gaga BACK in Bikini Shape

Published | Updated

Less than a year after gaining 30 pounds, Lady Gaga is back down to her fighting weight -- surfacing south of the border in Mexico this week with some friends ... in a sexy floral bikini.

You'll recall, Gaga struggled with her weight last year, telling Stylist Magazine, "I don't really care if [people] think I'm fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds."

Gaga also underwent serious hip surgery a few months ago ... so that probably helped with the weight loss too.

Too bad she had to give up that golden wheelchair.

Jenny Craig Gave Me 1,000 Gallstones ... Says L.A. Comic in Lawsuit

Published | Updated

A popular L.A. comic says she had to have 1,000 gallstones removed from her body all thanks to a Jenny Craig diet ... and now she's suing the weight loss giant claiming they knew their products were dangerous and did nothing to warn their customers.

Mara Shapshay -- who regularly performs at the Laugh Factory and writes for Glamour Magazine -- filed a lawsuit against J.C. this week, claiming she started Jenny in 2011 hoping to shed some lbs ... but developed serious medical problems about a year later.

In fact, Shapshay claims she was hospitalized with severe abdominal pain ... and doctors ultimately discovered roughly 1,000 gallstones in her body.

Mara says she was forced to undergo multiple surgeries and now suffers from fatigue, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting ... and blames J.C. for a recent miscarriage.

But the worst part, according to Shapshay ... Jenny Craig KNEW its program could lead to gallbladder disease ... but failed to inform their customers of the risks.

Shapshay is seeking unspecified damage$$$.

Multiple calls and emails to Jenny Craig have not been returned.

It's the most famous crash diet in history ... the Master Cleanse ... but according to celebrity super-trainer Jillian Michaels ... it's dangerous for your body.

Michaels was out in Malibu this weekend, when we asked about rumors that Beyonce dropped the baby weight by going on a Master Cleanse ... a 10-day program where people are only allowed to consume tea and lemonade mixed with maple syrup and cayenne pepper.

"Don't do the Master Cleanse," Michaels told us bluntly ... "It's bad for you."

Back in 2006, Beyonce told Oprah she shed a TON of poundage by using the program for 14 days ... but now, Michaels insinuates Beyonce is more educated about the dangers of the Cleanse ... and HIGHLY DOUBTS the singer would ever do it again.

But fear not ... Michaels DID offer some healthy weight-loss advice that's sure to work every time ... so watch the clip ... and then get off your ass and work out.

Weight Watchers: 9-Year-Olds Personae Non Gratin

Published | Updated

"Big Love" star Ginnifer Goodwin -- once a 9-year-old Weight Watchers member -- would be unwelcome today, because the diet co. tells TMZ, "Under no circumstances whatsoever" can kids under 10 enroll.

Goodwin claimed yesterday she started WW 23 years ago, back when she was 9 -- but there was a big policy change in 2003 ... The company line now is that it's potentially dangerous for kids under 10 to join the program.

Dr. Suparna Jain -- a pediatric endocrinologist -- tells us WW is wise not to give its stamp of approval to anyone under 10, because the diet does not provide enough calcium and protein for a growing body. The Weight Watchers program is predicated on calories, fiber and fat, not fundamental nutrients.

WW puts the onus on a child's doctor, saying, "Between the 10th and 17th birthday, a doctor's permission note is needed and the doctor is responsible for recommending a healthy weight goal."

Snooki Gets Diet Offer After 'South Park' Portrayal

Published | Updated

Snooki just scored a lucrative offer from a diet company after her gremlin-esque depiction on "South Park" this week ... but the company may not be doing her any favors.

AcaiSupply.com -- a diet company -- claims it's outraged the show mocked Snooki's issues with obesity ... so they've offered Snooks a cut of the profits and a free year's supply in exchange for a "glowing testimonial."

Here's the rub -- the company's letter to Snooki essentially calls her overweight ... and as you may know, she's had serious weight issues ... claiming she "almost died" from anorexia a few years back.

We're guessing Snooks is gonna 86 the deal anyway -- 'cause she's been telling everyone she likes the way she looks on the show.

Jillian Michaels Sued 'Potentially Lethal' Diet Product

Published | Updated

"Biggest Loser" star Jillian Michaels was just slapped with another multi-million dollar lawsuit over her weight loss products -- and this time, it's about a detox supplement that allegedly "might kill you."

The class action lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, was filed today in L.A. County Superior Court by a woman who only wants to be known by her initials -- R.D. -- due to her "very real fear of retaliation OR harassment by Defendants."

In the lawsuit, R.D. claims Jillian's "Triple Process Total Body Detox & Cleanse" diet supplement contains a "potentially lethal combination of toxic ingredients" ... and it "might kill you."

In the suit, R.D. lays out what she considers to be the risks associated with various ingredients in Jillian's product, including:

-- Irish Moss Powder ... "causes gastrointestinal ulcers" and is "so toxic that it is the gel commonly applied to aircraft wings to dissolve ice"
-- Bearberry ... "known to cause nausea and vomiting"
-- Yarrow ... "a toxic lawn weed that causes dermatitis"
-- Chinese Rhubarb ... "a harsh laxative and dangerous diuretic that can cause sever dehydration and may cause irreversible liver damage"
-- Fenugreek Seed ... "interferes with digestion and causes both diarrhea and gas"

R.D. is suing Jillian and Thin Care International for more than $10 million for "actively and fraudulently" conspiring to hide the alleged dangers of their product.

If this story sounds familiar, it's not the first ... second ... or even the third time Jillian has been sued by people who claim her diet products are potentially toxic.

No comment from Jillian Michaels' camp.

Jillian Michaels Sues Over Chocolate Cake

Published | Updated

Jillian Michaels is taking the pig by the snout, filing her own lawsuit in what has become a bitter battle over Maximum Strength Calorie Control.

Michaels has filed a defamation lawsuit against a lawyer for comments the attorney made to TMZ. The attorney, Melissa Harnett, filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of some women who claim Calorie Control -- the product for which Michaels is the spokesperson -- is bogus and doesn't make you lose weight.

TMZ spoke with Harnett after the class action suit was filed and the attorney told us, "Telling people you take two magic pills and then eat chocolate cake all day is a deception."

In her defamation lawsuit, Michaels claims the Calorie Control people never claimed the product was a chocolate cake buster.

Michaels is suing for unspecified damages.
