Officer-Involved Shooting in MN Protesters Make Big Leap, Backtrack ... Armed Carjacker Killed

Published | Updated

There was another officer-involved shooting in Minnesota this weekend, but it wasn't at all the kind that people have been protesting over ... not even close.

Burnsville Police say their officers first encountered a suspected car thief Sunday driving a vehicle with stolen plates, which he crashed. BPD says they were notified this same individual allegedly went on to carjack a female at gunpoint later in the day ... and then led police on a wild chase, all while he fired at officers who were in hot pursuit -- so claim the cops.

Part of that incident was captured by a bystander ... who filmed the suspect jumping out of the vehicle, and proceeding to run toward a highway with cruisers hot on his tail. In the clip, it appears the man attempts to carjack yet another vehicle on the road.

The white SUV ended up swerving out of the way, and police units finally caught up to him. The video freezes at that point ... presumably, that's when he was shot. BPD says the suspect was shooting at cops and officers returned fire, and the suspect ended up dead.

The officers involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave, and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating ... standard operating procedure.

Now, here's where things get interesting ... a local reporter for FOX9 -- who was covering protests at the Governor's mansion in St. Paul Sunday -- posted video of a group of demonstrators taking a knee in silence, this after they'd apparently heard there was another officer-involved shooting. Not just that ... but she says they planned to head down there too.

Later, she followed-up ... tweeting, "Just an update on this, protestors said later they're heading back to Brooklyn Center because they need more information about what happened in Burnsville first." In other words ... it doesn't look like they had any real info from the jump -- kneeling for a guy cops say was going full GTA.

Of course, people saw this and were critical ... saying protesters need to be mindful of the facts of any given incident, and not just react to a headline they hear in passing.

Marc Anthony Virtual Worldwide Concert Crashes and Burns

Published

Marc Anthony fans just learned a hard lesson about virtual concerts ... they're just not the same as the OG.

Marc's fans were none too pleased when they paid for such a concert Saturday, but there were massive technical problems. Some of them waited 3 hours before Marc finally pulled the plug.

The concert was supposed to stream out to folks in 85 countries, but there wasn't a frame of video to show for it.

Marc posted his apology ... “I am deeply sorry for this technology failure that unfortunately was out of our control. You can rest assured that I am doing everything in my power to make sure that the people that spent their hard-earned money have the opportunity to see the show as soon as possible and will make it right for you all.”

Counting down till the resurrection of in-person concerts.

'Passion of the Christ' Star Pushes Adrenochrome Conspiracy ... At Right-Wing Convention

Published

The guy who played Jesus in 'Passion of the Christ' is leaning into a QAnon conspiracy theory ... which believes children are being blood-drained for a chemical in their body.

Jim Caviezel made a guest appearance Friday at a right-wing convention called Clay Clark’s Health and Freedom Conference near Tulsa, OK ... where organizers griped about COVID restrictions and what they consider to the government's overreach in applying said rules.

For some reason, they beamed Caviezel in through a screen ... this while addressing the issue of child trafficking (a real thing that deserves serious discussion), but which dove completely into sketchy QAnon territory once Jim started talking adrenochrome.

Jim -- who was plugging a new movie he's in about child trafficking -- started out fine, but then said this about author Tim Ballard, whom he portrays in the flick ... "He's down there saving children as we speak, because they're pulling kids out of the darkest recesses of hell right now, in dumps and all kinds of places. The adrenochrome-ing of children, look ..."

He moved on from that point, but an MC asked him to circle back on it and explain further. Jim gave a very bare-bones description of what adrenochrome is and what he's heard (but says he hasn't seen) people do to get it ... namely allegedly gutting kids alive to yank it out.

Not to go too far down the rabbit hole ... but this is a cornerstone of QAnon dogma, a false one at that. They believe the world is run by an evil cabal of devil-worshipping cannibals -- including some of the most powerful people in the world -- who go around and do this.

The idea -- according to these QAnon believers -- is that the adrenochrome halts and/or reverses the aging process, and that it's plentiful and most fruitful in children. Yes, it 1000% is bat-s*** crazy -- evidenced in that fact it was lampooned in a recent "South Park" episode.

Pair that with the fact that Jewish people throughout history have been falsely accused of partaking in this practice -- and subsequently persecuted for it since the Middle Ages -- and a lot of people aren't all too surprised the adrenochrome BS is being embraced by Caviezel.

Of course, he was Mel Gibson's lead man for 'POTC' -- which was widely considered anti-Semitic in its portrayal of Jews. In light of this, some say the acorn hasn't fallen far from the tree in that regard.

Peloton Treadmill Deemed Dangerous by U.S. Regulator ... Keep Kids & Pets Away!!!

Published | Updated

Peloton's state-of-the-art treadmill is dangerous for kids and pets, and folks should refrain from using it immediately -- so says a U.S. regulator, who's got video evidence of the perils.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission -- formed in the '70s to help American consumers know which products can cause harm -- has come out strongly against Peloton and its Tread+ machine ... telling people with vulnerable loved ones to stop using it.

The agency says in light of a recent child death and "dozens" of reported instances of small children and pets getting sucked under the back roller of the conveyer belt -- and getting seriously injured in the process -- they're advising the Tread+ get temporarily unplugged.

The CPSC says it's aware of at least 39 injuries and one death related to the Tread+, and even says leaving the machine turned off can still pose a risk if the turn-on key is still accessible. They attached a graphic video that shows a toddler being pinned under the roller as it's in use by his older sister, who walks away ... with the kid left unattended.

We must warn you ... this is difficult to watch, but fortunately, the child appears to get himself out of the Peloton's clutches and gets up afterward. CPSC says this is just one example of the danger.

As for Peloton, they're playing down the CPSC's report ... calling it "inaccurate and misleading." They add, "The Tread+ is safe for Members to use in their homes and comes with safety instructions and warnings to ensure its safe use. Like all motorized exercise equipment, the Tread+ can pose hazards if the warnings and safety instructions are not followed. The Tread+ is not for children under 16. Peloton warns Members not to let children use the Tread+ and to keep children, pets, and objects away from the Tread+ at all times."

The CPSC notes that even when an adult is present, accidents still happen. Sounds like anything short of keeping the little ones completely clear of the machine is a gamble ... so the CPSC, for now, is telling folks who are parents of any kind to hold off for a bit.

Tree Creature Mystery Beast Scares Residents ... DOUGH!!! Just a Croissant

Published

A Polish woman's gotta be feeling pretty flaky about the panicked phone call she made to animal control to report a strange creature lurking in a tree ... that turned out to be a pastry!!!

Okay, before ya toast the concerned lady too much ... take a look at the mystery beast in a Krakow neighborhood.

Waiting for your permission to load the Facebook Post.

If ya didn't know better, it could be a GIANT caterpillar-ish thing or something of that ilk. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The woman told animal welfare officers people were afraid to open their windows for fear the big puffy creature might scurry into their homes. After all, she said it had been stalking them, just sitting there -- all brown and buttery -- for 2 whole days!

When asked to described the "animal" ... she said it looked like an iguana. The officers were skeptical, but went to check it out, only to discover ... they shoulda brought coffee or a cup of tea. It was just a croissant.

The belief is someone threw it out of their window to feed the birds and it got stuck, setting off the hilarious chain of events. Animal control said it was a funny false alarm, but encouraged the public to err on the side of caution and report anything suspicious. Y'know, like a shady scone.

Also, what's up with birds in Krakow?? That thing looks delicious!!!

Texas Middle School 11-Yr-Old Suspended for Hairdo ... Mom Says Braid Battle Brewing

Published | Updated

A Texas mother claims her 11-year-old son is being isolated and disciplined at school, simply because his hair is braided ... and now she's gearing up for a legal battle.

Hope Cozart says her son, Maddox, and his sisters expressed interest in learning more about their African heritage -- their father is Black -- and she's encouraged them to "explore their culture."

So, she says her son asked to have a braid in his hair like his father, but when he wore it to school earlier this month in Troy, TX ... she claims he got in-school suspension, and not just once.

According to the law firm working with the Cozart family, Maddox was first suspended on April 5 "based on his hairstyle," and has since been given in-school suspension every day for the same reason.

It says, "This action has denied Maddox an education equal to that of the other students at Raymond Mays Middle School."

Maddox's hairstyle reportedly violates the student handbook, which states hair "May not be worn in a ponytail, top knot, bun, or similar styles." His mother says this is an outdated policy that needs to be changed, adding ... "Kids should be able to express themselves and hair does not affect your education."

According to Love B. Scott, the school has reportedly declined to comment on the situation citing its student confidentiality policy, but the family's legal team is threatening legal action if Maddox is not returned to his class immediately.

Insane Video Shirtless Golfer Attacks Man With Flagstick ... In Golf Course Throwdown

Published

Two men beat the hell out of each other on a golf course last week -- with one of the dudes even swinging a flagstick at the other -- and the insane fight was all caught on video!

The wild scene went down on April 9 at a golf club in South Africa ... when two men got into a fistfight on the course at a local school's fundraiser event.

According to the club's general manager, Leon Kruger, the two had apparently been in a dispute over a lost phone before the melee erupted.

"There were two groups, one behind the other, on the course," Kruger said of the tiff to News24. "Someone in the first group lost their phone."

"When they asked the second group if they had seen the phone, they denied having it. That's when things then got out of hand."

You can see in the footage, one of the men began attacking the other, throwing haymakers and eventually ripping off the guy's shirt.

That's when the shirtless man grabbed a nearby flagstick, and swung it at the other dude's head repeatedly!!

The stick struck the guy with such force, it broke over his body ... but the fight still continued.

Eventually, after several more punches were thrown ... the guys calmed down and the fracas was over. It does not appear authorities were involved.

Kruger said the golf club would look into ways to deter this kind of action on the course going forward ... adding, "People should behave themselves."

Miles Teller ArcLight Cinemas, Pacific Theatres Closing Sucks ... But Movie Theater Industry Won't Die

Published | Updated

Miles Teller is nowhere close to predicting the end of the movie theater industry on the heels of ArcLight Cinemas and Pacific Theatres announcing they're shutting their doors ... he says theaters will still exist, but it would sure be nice if someone would come to the rescue.

We got the "Top Gun: Maverick" star out Thursday in L.A. and asked about the mega-chains announcing earlier this week they're closing nearly 300 screens ... obviously the result of financial hemorrhaging during the pandemic.

Miles recalled some fond memories at the Cinerama Dome on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood ... where his films "Project X" and "The Spectacular Now" premiered.

Miles thinks ArcLight and the Cinerama could borrow a page from Netflix and find someone who will underwrite the pivot. He has a name in mind, and it's a big one.

ICYMI ... Netflix bought Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre in L.A. last year, so its original movies can qualify for the Oscars.

Army Sgt. Suspended Military Taking Action ... After Aggressive Confrontation of Black Man

"YOU'RE IN THE WRONG NEIGHBORHOOD"
UPDATE

1:49 PM PT -- 4/15 -- Pentland has been suspended from his instructor duties at Fort Jackson, pending the completion of the investigation and outcome of the criminal charges against him ... honchos at Fort Jackson tell TMZ.

A white man who is a U.S. Army sergeant saw a Black man he didn't recognize strolling through his neighborhood, and decided to get in his face about it ... but we've learned the sergeant's been arrested over the incident.

42-year-old Jonathan Pentland -- reportedly based at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC -- was recorded aggressively confronting the young Black man, and even shoving him around in the suburb of Summit Monday evening.

The Black guy kept his cool, and said he was just passing through ... doing nothing else but walking. Pentland and others recording the altercation continued to press him -- accusing him of lingering around their home and surrounding streets for 15 minutes.

As for what triggered this altercation ... the Richland County Sheriff's Office says calls initially came in describing an altercation going down. Once officers arrived and did a preliminary investigation, RCSO says they learned the alleged victim here was supposedly going around and approaching different neighbors in what they described as a threatening manner. Eventually, they say someone asked Pentland to step in ... and things picked up there.

RCSO notes that when officers first responded, they were not aware of nor did they see this video. However, after the clip eventually went viral ... the agency says they passed their findings to a judge, who found sufficient evidence to bring Pentland in on an arrest warrant.

The Sheriff's Office also says this of the alleged victim ... he apparently has an underlying medical condition that might've affected his behavior that day, and the authorities are working to get him the help he needs, while trying to keep him out of the criminal justice system.

The young man claimed to live near this area ... but no word yet if that's, in fact, the case.

In any event, Pentland ended up getting arrested early Wednesday morning over the altercation. We've confirmed he was booked on assault and battery charges. It's unclear if he's still in custody.

Fort Jackson officials also commented on the widely-circulated video, saying ... "This type of behavior is not consistent with our Army values and will not be condoned. We have begun our own investigation and are working with the local authorities."

Canadian Lawmaker Drops Trou During Virtual Meeting ... Major Ooops!!! (In French)

Published

A Canadian lawmaker put on one helluva show when he got buck naked during a virtual Parliament meeting. As they'd say in French ... super awkward!!!

Member of Parliament William Amos virtually joined a House of Commons meeting Wednesday, but had just gotten home from a jog ... and needed to change into work clothes.

Makes sense, but as you can tell from this screenshot... ol' Wilie forgot to turn off his camera and ended up freeing his willy in front of his fellow lawmakers!

He managed to censor his frank and beans with what looks like his cell phone, and was flanked by the Canadian and Quebec flags. Keeping it patriotic, don't ya know!

Amos, who's rocking some washboard abs, shouldn't be too embarrassed, but he did apologize ... telling CTV News it was an "unfortunate error."

He added, "I sincerely apologize to my colleagues in the House of Commons for this unintentional distraction."

BTW, the meeting continued and party whip Claude DeBellefeuille playfully jabbed at Amos, saying ... "It may be necessary to remind the members, especially the male ones, that a tie and jacket are obligatory, but so are a shirt, boxer shorts or pants."

She did have a compliment for him, though, as she added, "We have seen that the member is in great physical shape"

Seems like a win for Wilie, if ya ask us.

Jacob Blake's Family Pissed Over Cop's Return Atty. Wants Reform, Not Just Protest

Published

The cop who shot Jacob Blake seven times is back on the job -- something JB's family can't comprehend ... but also something that won't get fixed with protesting alone ... so says Jacob's lawyer.

B'Ivory LaMarr, who's repping Jacob and his family, tells us the Blakes are incredibly disappointed that Officer Rusten Sheskey rejoined the Kenosha PD without punishment.

ICYMI ... KPD announced Tuesday Sheskey had been cleared of wrongdoing after an internal affairs investigation and several outside investigations as well. The conclusions were that the officer broke no laws and violated no police policy regarding use of force.

As such, they say he's gonna get back to work and not face any further discipline -- with the Chief going on to say this ... "I know that some will not be pleased with the outcome; however, given the facts, the only lawful and appropriate decision was made."

SHOCKING AND BRUTAL

That's certainly not how the Blake family sees it ... especially Jacob's uncle, Justin, who ominously told us Kenosha's crazy if they think Officer Sheskey's going to be allowed back onto the streets, or to patrol in Black neighborhoods -- saying "we" aren't going to stand by and let it happen.

Unclear exactly what he meant, but he also believes all the local agencies involved in investigating Sheskey are complicit ... insisting the cop would have been charged if the DOJ had gotten involved on a civil rights level. Remember, Sheskey's shots left Jacob paralyzed from the waist down.

JACOB'S MESSAGE

There's also this note from Jacob's attorney, B'Ivory, who says as disheartening as it is to see this result come to pass -- and in light of yet another officer-involved shooting in Minnesota -- more protesting alone will NOT solve the issue of police brutality and social justice.

B'Ivory tells us that instead of just taking to the streets, folks need to start pushing for reform ... both locally and on a national level, as he says that's the only way to truly affect the change he and everyone else wants right now.

TEMPERS FLARE

Of course, there have been numerous demonstrations in Brooklyn Center after Daunte Wright was shot and killed by ex-cop Kim Potter ... with protesters clashing with police for 3 straight nights now. Speaking of Wright, we're told the Blake family sends his family their condolences.

Coincidentally, there actually IS federal legislation addressing this precise issue -- the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act ... which is currently winding its way through Congress. If passed, it would implement sweeping changes on policing in this country at the federal level, and would become the new standard for states to adopt as well.

Boston's Kevan Miller Obliterates Tage Thompson ... In Violent Hockey Fight

Published | Updated

Kevan Miller was feeling VIOLENT on Tuesday -- the Boston Bruins player unleashed the fury all over multiple Buffalo Sabres players ... culminating with a KO in a mid-game fight!

The brutality began in the 2nd period when Miller came flying across the ice to smash Sabres' forward Rasmus Asplund into the boards at breakneck speed. Asplund went crumpling to the ground.

Asplund's teammates took issue with the shot because it looked like an illegal blindside hit -- even though it wasn't called for a penalty.

That's when Sabres' player Tage Thompson squared up with Miller looking to avenge Asplund ... but he quickly learned Miller was all about the smoke.

The gloves came off ... and Miller immediately opened up a can of whoop-ass all over Tage's face -- beating him down onto the ice in a one-sided mauling.

Eventually, the refs stepped in and put a stop to the fight when it became clear Thompson had no chance.

FYI, Miller is a very experienced fighter -- with 20 scraps under his belt since 2013.

Thompson, on the other hand, has only fought once in the NHL since joining the league a few years ago.

It's almost like Thompson didn't realize what he was getting himself into ...

As for the game, the Bruins ended up securing the "W" in an overtime shootout.

Bad night for Thompson and the Sabres. Ice that jaw, bro.

The "Shark Tank" star was out Tuesday in Union Square in NYC, and she made it clear ... she couldn't care less about Bitcoin's price, Dogecoin surging again or any of the other cryptos ... she's all about property, baby.

Barbara says she's investing every spare dollar she has this year into real estate, because she says it's still very much a buyer's market ... and she plans to get even richer the old-fashioned way. BTW ... it may be a buyer's market in NYC, but it's the opposite in other cities like L.A.

There's a caution -- Barbara suggests striking while the iron's hot, because the market could be totally different by the end of the year.

As for the crypto market, Barbara says the trick is knowing when to get out. She thinks just as many people are losing $$$ investing in cryptocurrency as those who are cashing in.

Corcoran was out promoting her new advice podcast, "888-Barbara," but tells us there's a certain billionaire who doesn't need her guidance. She also offers some free advice from her own mother.

Sylvester Stallone Not a Member at Mar-a-Lago ... Just a Dinner Guest!!!

Published | Updated

Sylvester Stallone has hung his hat in Florida, but a recent report saying he's become a member of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago is flat out wrong ... TMZ has learned.

A story ran earlier this week claiming Sly was a newly-minted member of the club, having recently been spotted inside Mar-a-Lago's walls.

Sly's reps, however, say Sly is not, and has never been, a member at Mar-a-Lago. The rep tells us he was recently an invited dinner guest at the club, but does not own a residence on the golf course, nor has he paid for a membership.

While he isn't a member at Mar-a-Lago, we're told Sly remains a member of The Breakers Club, also located in Palm Beach.

Sly and his fam recently left Cali for the Sunshine State ... following in the footsteps of a slew of celebs.

Black High School Football Player Forced In Locker with Banana Peels ... Cops Investigate

Published
UPDATE

12:02 PM PT -- The player targeted in the locker room incident has issued a statement, through the Rock Island County State's Attorney's Office ... saying, "I want to make it known that I'm fine."

UPDATE

"Everyone is worried about me and showing concern for me and I really appreciate it."

UPDATE

"Second, can everyone please stop talking about the incident and video? I understand everyone wants justice for me and they want what they think is right to be done, but I already made my feelings known to the police and my friends about how I feel about everything."

UPDATE

"I love the football team I'm on and they're good guys. I know that personally. I talked to the people involved individually and they apologized. We had a heartfelt talk about it and I told them how I felt. So please don't harass, bully, or threaten them at all."

UPDATE

"Lastly, I want to get my life back together, and my student-athlete life back on track, so if you do ever see me or know who I am, treat me as a human first, not a victim."

A black high school football player in Moline, Illinois was forced to sit in a locker stuffed with banana peels -- while a fellow player threatened to break both of his knees if he refused.

The incident was captured on video and published on social media platforms -- and now, the cops are involved.

The 11-second video was reportedly shot on Thursday night -- but in less than 24 hours, the footage had already made its way to the Moline Police Dept.

And, when the team returned from an away game on Friday evening, the cops were waiting at Moline High School to interview everyone who had a role in the disturbing incident.

"On the evening of April 9, 2021 the Moline Police Department became aware of a shocking viral video circulating on social media," Moline Police Chief Darren Gault said in a statement.

"The video depicted a disturbing racist scene involving a Moline High School football player in a locker room."

Chief Gault says detectives have identified "all athletes who were involved in the incident and the circumstances surrounding the video" -- and confirmed they are "fellow high school football teammates."

Cops note the players involved "are also individuals of both different and similar races to the victim."

"The students directly involved in the video are all friends."

"Regardless of these facts, we all agree that this is a disgusting way to treat a fellow teammate, a fellow human and most certainly a friend."

The MPD says the investigation is complete and the case has been submitted to the State's Attorney for review.

The Moline-Coal Valley School District has also been looped in. District officials slammed the "vile behavior depicted in the video" -- insisting it "does not represent our core values and has no place in our learning community."

The District also vowed to take "decisive action" following an internal investigation.

YFN Lucci Murder Case Prosecutors Want Him Back In Jail ... Strip Club Was Off Limits

Published
UPDATE

12:13 PM PT -- YFN's attorney, Drew Findling, tells TMZ ... "This attempt to revoke his bond is without merit and is replete with factual and legal inaccuracies. We will zealously fight this motion as we will with every aspect of this legally flawed prosecution."

YFN Lucci violated his strict bond conditions when he hit up a recording studio and a strip club as his murder case looms ... at least according to prosecutors, who want him back in jail.

According to new legal docs, prosecutors in Georgia claim the rapper violated the conditions of his $500,000 bond the first day after getting sprung from jail as he awaits trial for murder.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, prosecutors claim YFN Lucci spent his first day on the outside hitting up an Atlanta recording studio, which they say is a violation of his monitored release.

Prosecutors also claim YFN Lucci went to an Atlanta strip club the same day, and they say it's the same club at the center of an investigation into a gang-related shooting.

TMZ broke the story ... Lucci was released from jail back in February, but his bond came with a long list of conditions he must obey until his next hearing.

Prosecutors claim YFN Lucci's ankle monitor was tampered with, because they say there's lots of missing and irregular data regarding his whereabouts for extended periods of time.

Prosecutors also claim YFN Lucci tested positive for marijuana and opiates in a drug test, which they say is yet another bond violation. They want a judge to revoke his bond so they can keep him in custody until the end of his murder case.
