Rep. Dan Crenshaw Accosted at TX Convention 'Eyepatch McCain'!!!
Rep. Dan Crenshaw was confronted and heckled by a group of people who don't seem to like his positions within the Republican party -- stooping to hurling nasty insults at the guy.
The U.S. congressman appeared Saturday at the 2022 Texas State Republican Convention within the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston ... and at one point, he was accosted by a rowdy bunch of protesters as he ascended an escalator onto the main floor.
Check it out ... Alex Stein -- who's a right-wing media personality -- tries to bum-rush Crenshaw, whose staff pushes him back. All the while, he's screaming "eyepatch McCain!"
Stein is filming the entire encounter, which becomes very hectic, and it appears he gets into a bit of a scuffle with one of Crenshaw's people. The Representative himself never appears to be touched, and simply carries on along his path ... smirking at Stein and the others.

— Alex Rosen (@football_56OL) June 18, 2022 @football_56OL
Aside from the "eyepatch" barb, another man films him as well ... calling him a globalist, a RINO and a sellout. When Dan vanishes from the scene, you can see yet another guy come into frame, who appears to shout something to the effect of, "Dan Crenshaw is a traitor, he needs to be hung for treason."
Reports say some of these guys ran into law enforcement eventually as they were being asked to leave and ushered out, but it's unclear if any arrests were made in the end.
This is what happens when angry little boys like @alexstein99 don’t grow up and can’t get girlfriends…

Meanwhile, Crenshaw himself took it all in stride ... later taking to social media to write, "This is what happens when angry little boys like @alexstein99 don't grow up and can't get girlfriends."
DC has been outspoken, of late, about many of his colleagues in the Republican Party -- saying a good amount of them are nothing more than provocateurs who aren't actually interested in serving the American people. A lot of Trumpers have turned on him as a result.

President Biden Falls Off Bicycle ... In Front of Crowd
President Biden took a tumble off of his bike during a weekend getaway in his home city -- but it wasn't even while the thing was in motion ... he toppled over during a complete stop.
JB was out riding with Dr. Jill Biden and a bunch of Secret Service agents Saturday in Rehoboth Beach, DE -- near his vacation home there -- and while he was turning a corner on the path and coming toward a group of admirers/reporters ... he pumped the brakes.
It didn't seem like anything was wrong, that is ... until POTUS tried dismounting himself from the bicycle, which is where things started to look a bit clunky.
Apparently, Joe got his foot awkwardly caught in the pedal on the right side -- and before he and everyone else knew it ... 46 was going down. He plopped down (sorta hard) right in front of the group of people, where cameras were rolling and folks audibly gasped in shock.
Ain't every day that the Commander in Chief cruises by, and it's even rarer when the dude falls like a chopped tree. As you can imagine ... Secret Service swarmed in and helped their boss up.
Seems he was able to get to his feet pretty quickly, and when someone asked if he was okay -- Joe reportedly responded, "I'm good." The White House backed that with an official statement, saying the Prez had an accident, but that no medical attention was needed.
All's well that ends well ... even though Joe absorbed what looked to be the opposite of a soft landing, he continued on his way. So yes, back on the horse two-wheeler.
Also of note, Joe's almost 80 (his birthday is in November) and you'd think a spill like this might put him out of commission for the day. Not the case ... the President is tough as nails.

Bill Clinton Yep, I Sent Officials to Area 51 in Search of Aliens
Former President Bill Clinton made a pretty stunning and important revelation ... he said during his time in office he sent federal agents to Area 51 in Nevada to find if aliens were among us.
Clinton told James Corden on 'Late Late Show' ... he and Chief of Staff John Podesta "sent people to Area 51 to make sure there were no aliens." He also said he wanted a full briefing on Roswell.
Among the folks, Clinton sent to the Nevada site which has been shrouded in mystery for decades ... National Security Advisor Sandy Berger.
The ex-Prez said, "I said we got to find out how we're going to deal with this because that's where we do a lot of our invisibility research in terms of technology, like how we fly airplanes that aren't picked up by radar and all that. So that's why they're so secretive."
And, then he gave his conclusion, with an asterisk ... "But there's no aliens that I know [of]."
But, there's this ... he says he's been told by credible astronomers there's up to a 95% chance there's life outside our solar system.
Here's the thing ... the Pentagon has finally cracked open the door and admitted there are more than 140 sightings they've analyzed and cannot explain, and some of them defy human technology. Congress has held hearings, although the effort was anemic and lots of people still believe our government is hiding vital information that, at the very least, could be a national security risk to our military planes and warships.
BTW ... TMZ produced a special on UFOs that is available on Hulu. Some of the folks featured in the doc are former government and military officials with some pretty startling information.

Reza Farahan Drag Shows Are Art, Non-Issue for Kids ... TX & FL Should Focus on School Shootings

Reza Farahan says politicians have screwed up priorities, and clearly have no clue what goes on at drag shows since they're trying to make laws blocking kids from attending them.
We caught up with the former "Shahs of Sunset" star in L.A. and asked what his thoughts were about the new potential legislation in Texas and Florida ... which would make it a crime for parents to bring their children with them to drag revues.
Reza says it's not just misguided, it's heartbreaking -- he doesn't understand why drag shows are being sexualized by folks who know nothing about them. He says, these shows are nothing but a group of people who are expressing themselves and entertaining people in their own way.
This didn’t happen in California.
— APP Texas (@AppTexas) June 6, 2022 @AppTexas
It didn’t happen in Portland, Oregon.
It happened right here in the state of Texas.
The question: What are our state’s “Republican” leaders going to do about it?
pic.twitter.com/aZdT0tYT1B
He adds, the shows are a form of art ... all about folks living their best lives and expressing love and happiness. Reza insisted, politicians simply love to sensationalize anything related to the LGBTQ+ community.
Texas State Rep. Bryan Slaton recently said he was filing the potential bill after recent footage went viral of kids in Dallas attending a drag show.
Reza's especially incensed Texas leaders are picking this fight so soon after the horrific mass shooting in Uvalde, TX -- and says gun violence is an actual issue they should focus on to protect children.

6:58 PM PT -- Reps for CBS tell TMZ ... "On Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was on-site at the Capitol with a production team to record interviews for a comedy segment on behalf of 'The Late Show.'"
"Their interviews at the Capitol were authorized and pre-arranged through Congressional aides of the members interviewed."
"After leaving the members’ offices on their last interview of the day, the production team stayed to film stand-ups and other final comedy elements in the halls when they were detained by Capitol Police."
Several staffers from Stephen Colbert's late night CBS talk show got busted at the U.S. Capitol ... after they allegedly made an unlawful entry into the building.
Robert Smigel, the voice of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, was among the 9 people arrested by U.S. Capitol Police and charged with illegal entry ... according to Fox News.
The "Late Show With Stephen Colbert" staffers were arrested after taking pictures and videos near the offices of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Lauren Boebert.
Capitol police say the building was closed to visitors Thursday night, and the staffers were there without the proper ID and were on their own.
What's more, USCP says the same group was booted from Capitol earlier in the day during the Jan. 6 committee hearings.
The incident remains under investigations and USCP says the 'Colbert' staffers could face additional criminal charges.

Terrence J Make Juneteenth A Paid Day Off ... Only Holiday I Care About!!!
Actor and TV host Terrence J wants businesses across the country to get with the times and finally count Juneteenth as a day out of the office.
Terrence was at a Juneteenth Foundation ceremony in D.C. Thursday, and says he thinks the companies that are lacking need to step up to the plate -- noting the new federal holiday is a big part of American culture.
He says companies need to take a step back to see where society's at right now to understand why it's so crucial ... June 19th will mark the 2nd year it's federally recognized, but not every company is counting it as a day off.
As for other holidays, the guy thinks there are some we give a little too much attention to ... won't say which, but he's always got Juneteenth on his mind.
He's got his thoughts about the recent tone-deaf marketing in stores, too ... Terrence is gung-ho for the recognition of Juneteenth, but hopes companies can learn to rep the day more respectfully.
As we reported, Walmart had to pull their "Celebration Edition" of ice cream and issue an apology after the Twitter mob came for them ... the Indianapolis Children's Museum also got in hot water after offering up a "Juneteenth Watermelon Salad."

Jan 6th Committee Trump to Pence: Wouldn't It Be Cool if You Overturned Election
The January 6th House Committee recounted a passage from a book on the insurrection, in which Donald Trump told Mike Pence how cool it would be for one person -- the Veep -- to overturn the will of the people.
The story came out in the book, "Peril," but the exchange between Trump and Pence was shocking enough to make its way to the hearing. After Pence told Trump he did not have the power to ignore the electoral results, Trump responded, "If these [Trump's] people say you have the power, wouldn't you want to?" Pence responded, "I wouldn't want any one person to have that authority."
Trump's response is shocking ... "But wouldn't it almost be cool to have that power?" When you break that down, it's almost as if Trump is saying forget about whether you ACTUALLY have that power ... it would be cool to do it anyway. That's pretty close to saying in spite of not having authority, why not just undermine democracy and do it anyway -- and that could show the kind of intent the Dept. of Justice is investigating.
The capper is equally shocking ... when Pence persisted that he had tried to find legit ways to challenge the election results, this was a line he would not cross, and Trump responded, "No no no. You don't understand Mike. You can do this. I don't want to be your friend anymore if you don't do this."

Prince William Sends letter to GF of Fallen Jan 6th Cop ... She Slams Trump as Uncaring
Prince William may be thousands of miles away from the United States, but his empathy for one of the victims of January 6th knows no borders.
Turns out the 2nd in line for the throne sent a heartfelt letter to the girlfriend of Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick, who died from injuries he suffered trying to protect the U.S. Capitol.
Sandra Garza received the letter recently, which read in part, "Please forgive me if I am intruding but I wanted to write and let you know how sorry I am about the death of your partner, Brian" adding ... "Having recently watched documentary footage of the harrowing events that took place at the Capitol building I wanted to acknowledge the patriotism and selflessness of Brian."
The letter went on to praise Brian for his patriotism in protecting the Capitol, saying he hopes Sandra can "take some comfort from knowing that it is thanks to law enforcement officers like Brian that the situation did not escalate further and democracy was upheld."
Sandra told CNN she received zip former President Donald Trump, blasting him ... "Trump does not give two craps about law enforcement or Brian."
FEBRUARY 2021
Brian was one of the 5 Capitol officers to die as a result of the insurrection. Brian died the following day after suffering multiple strokes.
President Biden and First lady Jill Biden were among the dignitaries who paid respect to Brian last year ... arriving unannounced at the Capitol Rotunda where they prayed by his casket.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is getting the full rock star treatment from a group of civic-minded kids in D.C. ... which the Congresswoman sees as a great sign for America's future.
We got AOC Thursday on Capitol Hill as she was bombarded by future voters on a class trip, and the love for her was written all over some of their faces. Some of 'em were even in tears about what they clearly saw as a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Whereas adults tend to be pretty jaded about politicians ... AOC didn't try to hide her enthusiasm about this scene with the kids. As she sees it, the future's looking bright if young people are engaging in the political process.
Ya gotta imagine she sees a bit of herself in them -- Rep. Ocasio-Cortez got started at a pretty young age, jumping into office at 29, which made her the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.
As we reported, the U.S. Rep's also excited about the news she shared last month -- that she's engaged to Riley Roberts.
She confirmed the buzz -- which started when she wore a ring on THAT finger -- by tweeting, "It's true. Thank you all for the well wishes."

Mike Pence New Photo Shows Him Hiding Out As Jan. 6th Rioters Chant 'Hang Mike Pence'
A new photo has emerged from the January 6th insurrection, one that shows then-VP Mike Pence hiding away as rioters stormed the Capitol, chanting about killing him.
The pic shows Pence and his family seeking refuge in his ceremonial office -- not far from the Senate floor -- second lady Karen Pence shuts the curtains as they shelter in place.
The photo was snapped just a few minutes after the Capitol was breached ... and as many started chanting "Hang Mike Pence." The Pence family was taken to a loading dock under the building not long after.
Pence and his daughter, Charlotte, eventually returned to the Capitol when the dust settled, and continued to work on his speech for when Congress reconvened.
As we reported, former President Donald Trump seemingly defended the insurrectionists that had it out for his VP, claiming they were understandably angry.
He claimed he wasn't worried about the Veep's safety at the time, telling ABC's Jonathan Karl, "I thought he was well-protected and I had heard he was in good shape."
1/6/21
Trump chalked the "Hang Mike Pence" stuff to common sense -- calling the guy out for passing what he believed was a fraudulent vote to Congress, AKA certifying Biden.
The House select committee continues its hearings Thursday ... looking to prove Trump was at the center of the attack on January 6th.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has contracted COVID-19 -- but like many people who have gotten their shots -- he's expected to come out the other side just fine.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, for which Fauci serves as top dog, made the announcement Wednesday, saying Doc had tested positive during a rapid antigen test ... and as a result, was sent home to recover. He'll be back to work when he's negative.
BREAKING: Fully-vaxxed and twice-boosted Fauci tests positive for COVID-19 pic.twitter.com/6qByWjk6dY
— Mia Cathell (@MiaCathell) June 15, 2022 @MiaCathell
The NIH agency notes he's experiencing mild symptoms, and attributes that to the fact he's fully vaccinated and has also received two booster shots.
Also of note ... Fauci has not been in close contact with President Biden of late, so says NIAID, or any other top government official for that matter. So it seems JB and co. are in the clear on his end -- good news, especially since they've already had close calls.
Several people in Biden's cabinet have caught the virus in recent months -- including former Press Secretary Jen Psaki, and even Vice President Kamala Harris ... ditto for her hubby. Of course, there've been some high-profile Congress members who've gotten sick too.
Thus far, POTUS has been able to avoid coming down with 'rona ... unlike his predecessor.

U.S. Senate New Bipartisan Deal for Gun Reform ... In Wake of Mass Shootings
-
Breaking News
After two mass shootings in the past month, it seems our elected leaders are finally doing something ... because a new bipartisan framework for gun reform has been reached.
20 U.S. senators announced they'd struck a deal for the bones of would-be legislation that they hope to draft up soon and present to the Senate floor for a vote -- consisting of 10 Dems and 10 Republicans, who've outlined key provisions they wanna address.
Today’s announcement of a gun-safety framework is a good first step toward ending inaction on the gun violence epidemic plaguing our country.
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) June 12, 2022 @SenSchumer
I will put this bill on the floor as soon as possible so the Senate can act quickly to advance gun-safety legislation.
My statement: pic.twitter.com/ae0HD0Zrvl
Here are the big takeaways of their proposed package ... stricter background checks and extra scrutiny for gun buyers under 21, more money for states to impose renewed red flag laws and additional funding for mental health treatment. Also, beefed up school security.
The background checks for those under 21 would include delving into their juvenile criminal records, if any, and health records. The red flag laws would give state-ran law enforcement the authority to temporarily strip guns from those that pose a risk to themselves or others. Unclear what the criteria for that might be, but based on the name ... anything that stands out as a red flag might presumably be used to step in and stop unusual behavior.
McConnell touts support of 'bipartisan product' after Senate gun proposal announced https://t.co/MFbWIiTprR (The Hill)
— U.S. Senate News (@SenateNews) June 12, 2022 @SenateNews
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Sunday applauded a group of 20 senators who announced earlier in the day that they had reached a framework d…
There's more ... their framework also seeks to close the "boyfriend loophole," meaning those who've been found to abuse their SOs can't get their hands on a gun. Plus, they're looking to crack down on straw gun purchasers as well as illegal unlicensed firearm dealers.
It's not everything President Biden has said he wants in new gun control reform, but it's a major first step -- and the fact that this many Republicans are on board means it has a real chance of passing the Senate without a filibuster, assuming they maintain their positions.
Enhanced background check of juvenile court, police, and mental health records likely would have disclosed what everyone in the community knew. The shooter was a ticking time bomb. https://t.co/q1EPPWLmxw
— Senator John Cornyn (@JohnCornyn) June 12, 2022 @JohnCornyn
Among the four Senators who led the charge ... Chris Murphy (D), John Cornyn (R), Kyrsten Sinema (D) and Thom Tillis (R). The other Republicans include Romney, Portman, Toomey, Blunt, Graham, Cassidy, Collins and Burr. A handful of them are retiring this year.
Again, it's not the assault weapons ban many have been calling for ... but it's something for now. There's an even bigger committee in Congress working on more potential legislation.
The news comes after the Uvalde school shooting -- where 21 people were gunned down, 19 of whom were children -- and the Buffalo shooting ... where another young man went out of his way to target Black people. In both instances, an AR-15 style weapon was used.
At last ... a little bit of progress.

Rep. Ilhan Omar's experience during the January 6th storming of the Capitol was traumatic -- and something she believes was sparked by Trump -- as the country gears up for one of the most important hearings in history.
We got the U.S. Congresswoman from Minnesota Thursday at the Capitol, and she says the upcoming hearing regarding last year's insurrection is going to be very eye-opening -- and she's prepared for the testimonies to be pretty triggering.
The Rep tells us the whole day was a really traumatizing experience for her and her colleagues. She was one of the many that were whisked away from the Capitol and taken off-site -- cops believed her life was in danger no matter where she was in the building.

She even tells us about the heartbreaking last-minute texts she sent to her family, just in case things took a turn for the worse.
As you know, the House select committee starts their hearings tonight ... they plan to bring to light unseen footage and evidence that proves former President Trump was at the center of the attack.

President Biden Cop Body Slams Protester ... Secret Service Swoops in to Protect L.A. Motorcade
A woman armed with a bullhorn got dangerously close to President Biden's motorcade until cops and Secret Service agents took her down ... HARD!!!
The protester marched right into the closed L.A. street Wednesday as POTUS was arriving at the Summit of the Americas. She managed to scream at the fleet of passing vehicles for about 10 seconds before the violent takedown.
Law enforcement pulled off to the side of the street, and then slammed her to the ground ... which stirred an uproar among some people observing from the sidewalk. You can also see a Secret Service agent swoop in, attempting to control the situation.
Unclear what she was shouting into her megaphone, but there were a group of protesters in the area, unhappy Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua were not invited to the summit.
The State Dept. says President Biden kept those countries off the guest list because they don't have a shared respect for democracy. The Summit continues through Friday, so we could see more scenes like this.

President Zelensky Millions Could Starve Around the World!!! Russia Needs to Lift Blockade
The world is on the brink of a terrible food crisis if Russia doesn't lift the blockade of Ukraine's Black Sea ports ... so says Ukrainian President Zelensky.
Zelensky made a televised announcement Thursday, warning dozens of countries may face a physical food shortage because Ukraine is unable to export a huge amount of products including wheat, corn and vegetable oil.
Zelensky says these products and many others play a stabilizing role in the global market. And, as a result, millions of people may starve. For now, he says, he's currently talking to PM Boris Johnson and other world leaders to figure out how to lift the Russian blockade.
In the message, Zelensky took a jab at Putin -- saying he's trying to blackmail the world with hunger. He says, "While we are looking for ways to protect freedom, another person is destroying it."
Before Russia's invasion in February, Ukraine reportedly exported up to 6 million tonnes of grain a month -- now that number is down to about 1 million tonnes, which is being transported through smaller ports.
