Sylvester Stallone turned 72 years old this week, and got proper action hero birthday wishes from some of the best in the biz.

Sly made an appearance Friday at London's O2 arena -- the same day he hit the big 7-2. While answering questions from the crowd, a video message was played to honor his born day ... with well-wishes from A LOT of his old action flick buddies.

Guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Michael B. Jordan, Al Pacino and Dolph Lundgren (the Russian in 'Rocky IV') all gave a shout out to Rocky Balboa for hitting a new milestone in his life ... and continuing to punch back.

You'd think this would be the greatest gift ever ... but, apparently, not for Sly. He told the audience that the best present he'd ever gotten was his three daughters, who were present.

Kim Kardashian doesn't seem to have the word awkward in her vocabulary, 'cause she asked the guy who cheated on her sister to unblock her on social media ... right to his face.

Kim was celebrating Khloe Kardashian's 34th birthday Wednesday evening in L.A., with none other than Tristan Thompson in attendance. As you'll recall, Khloe and the NBA star seem to have moved past his cheating scandal while she was pregnant with their kid.

Same goes for Kim too, actually. She straight-up asked Tristan to unblock her on Instagram ... and recorded him doing it as well. Talk about Queen of Confrontation, sheesh.

Carmelo and La La Anthony spent part of La La's birthday Monday visiting the home of a slain 15-year-old boy to provide condolences and gifts to the murdered child's family.

Lesandro Guzman-Feliz was brutally stabbed to death after being dragged out of a corner store last week.

When La La was contacted by the boy's sister and informed he was a huge Melo fan ... she brought the NBA superstar right to his fam's doorstep.

"This is what I wanted to do for my birthday today," La La said of the trip.

"Thank you to the gram for connecting me to this family. I wanted to offer our love and support to Lesandro 'Junior’s' family. His sister reached out and told me he loved Melo."

"So I asked Mel to go with me. I can’t imagine this type of pain and sadness. His family is strong and may God bless them forever."

In addition to signed jerseys and sneakers ... La La says she and Carmelo did far more than that for the family -- and urged others to donate.

Move over Marilyn Monroe -- okay, not really -- but you gotta hand it to Dennis Rodman for breaking out in song as a fun surprise for a guy on his 60th bday.

The man's name is Bobby, and his family tells TMZ ... they were celebrating at Casa Machado Restaurant in San Diego Saturday afternoon when they noticed the NBA legend was there, too.

We're told they asked Rodman if he'd take a pic with Bobby, but he told them he could do better than that ... and so he did.

Charlize Theron surprised a boxing champ on his birthday -- threw punches at him and then kissed his face ... and we've got footage of the whole thing!

The man on the receiving end is Chris van Heerden -- a former IBO Welterweight champ who's a BIG fan of the actress (they're both from South Africa).

Peter Berg -- the mega-producer who owns the gym -- wanted to surprise Chris on his birthday so he got Charlize to swing by for a sparring session ... and Chris LOVED IT, Peter Kahn, van Heerden's manager tells us.

Charlize not only got in the ring and threw hands -- she jumped on the fighter, wrapped her legs around the guy ... and capped it off with a big, fat kiss on his face.

Oh, and Mark Wahlberg also stopped by. Best birthday ever?!

By the way, Theron's not a regular at the gym ... but she wasn't bad on the mitts for an amateur.

It's Tupac Shakur's born day, and rather than dwell on the sad fact we lost him nearly 22 years ago ... we're gonna celebrate the good times he had.

North didn't look thrilled about turning 5 on Friday -- not at first, anyway -- but Kanye and Kim Kardashian West carried on with her party in NYC. Dad carried her out to the car, and through what looked like a brief tantrum.

She eventually settled down -- in her super cute traditional Chinese dress -- as the fam and some friends hit up the Polo Bar for dinner, and more importantly ... killer birthday dessert from Sugar Factory!

Now, we know serving up cakes is nothing new for Kim -- she's been doing it for years -- but, the multi-layered one she sliced into for her daughter's party was spectacular ... complete with candy in the center! Just watch. (Diabetics might wanna look away)

Kanye and Kim Kardashian West celebrated North's birthday Friday ... and, while she came back from birthday present shopping with something pink, it wasn't a tutu or a stuffed animal.

Kanye and fam are in the Big Apple for Nas' album release party, but Friday morning the rapper was back on daddy duty with North -- who's celebrating her 5th birthday -- and one of her pals.

North dropped her usual "no pictures, please" line on their way back into their hotel in Midtown, but Kanye scored some major points on the gift ... a cool pink fighting fish.

O.T. Genasis says he has no clue why cops crashed his birthday party with shotguns out, 'cause there was no sign of trouble inside the event ... just lots of bottles.

We asked O.T. if anyone drew a weapon Wednesday night, as it was reported to cops -- and he said he knows nothing about anything like that.

He does have a funny theory though. The rapper thinks cops caught wind of his poppin' party, and simply wanted to join in on the fun. Not sure if we buy that, but it's a nice thought.

Either way, the whole thing resolved itself. Cops weren't able to find any evidence of guns at the party ... and nobody was arrested.

O.T. Genasis' birthday celebrations this week started out as a bowling party and ended full of police officers with their guns drawn after a reported gun threat.

O.T. was celebrating the big 3-1 a few days early Wednesday night at Pinz in Studio City, with friends like Miguel, Tamar Braxton and Nelly. Law enforcement sources tell us someone called police late in the night to report two people at the party were flashing guns and threatening each other. That got cops to the alley in a hurry, locked and loaded.

As you can see, officers came prepared with shotguns and a massive police presence. A helicopter was even called in for the potential threat. We're told police searched the premises and even detained a few people still inside ... but no weapons were found.

As for the scene inside, it appeared to be relatively peaceful and joyous, with people singing "Happy Birthday" to O.T. and having a good time. One party attendee tells us they didn't even notice the cops until the party started to wrap up.

Chris Brown and his baby mama, Nia Guzman, have called a truce in their never-ending custody war ... deciding for the sake of Royalty that they'll throw a joint 4th birthday party.

Royalty turns 4 on Sunday and we're told there's only gonna be one bash this year. In the past, Chris and Nia have each thrown their own parties for Royalty because they weren't speaking to one another, but we're told they're actually on good terms now ... trying to co-parent.

Royalty wanted a princess ball for her birthday and Chris and Nia are planning to go all out by dropping well north of $30k on the party. We're told every Disney princess from Cinderella to Jasmine will be there along with a fairy godmother. They're having a horse and carriage with a grand duke and coachman.

On the menu ... crab cakes, California rolls, shrimp tempura, as well as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, mac and cheese and burgers for the kids.

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, slid right into her new title and looked like she's always been in the Royal Fam as they gathered to celebrate her father-in-law's birthday.

Prince Harry and his bride had a prime spot Tuesday at the Buckingham Palace celebration for Prince Charles' 70th birthday kickoff event. Charles' actual bday isn't until November but, y'know the Royals ... it's going to be a whole 6-month jubilee with multiple parties.

The royal family's clearly welcomed Meghan into the fold. Aside from Charles stepping up to walk her down the aisle after her dad's emergency heart surgery -- Megs was front and center next to Camilla during the Palace event.

Janet Jackson's celebrated her 52nd birthday Wednesday, and she's getting a huge honor this weekend ... so, it's the perfect time to remember where it all started.

Janet was just 8 years old when she marched onto a stage with Carol Burnett and her big brother, Randy Jackson. The Jackson 5 were the scheduled guests, but Janet stole the show with this rendition of Sonny and Cher's "The Beat Goes On."

She's come a long way since this January 25, 1975 appearance -- her first with the fam -- and this weekend she's getting the Billboard Icon Award. Best moment, besides the singing and dancing, is when Carol asks her name.

Rob Gronkowski turns 29 today -- only 40 more years until his favorite number -- and he's celebrating with an insane trip to Jamaica with his bikini model girlfriend.

Gronk and Camille Kostek have been living it up at some super fancy resort -- eating fruit, hiking to waterfalls and busting out some sexy bikini dances (thanks for that, btw).

Gronk seems to be in a good place -- as you can see at the end of the dancing video.

The two have been connected for years -- they were serious, then took some time apart ... but now they seem to be in full swing.

No word if a ring is in Camille's future ... but it sure seems to be headed in that direction.

The rapper celebrated turning 31 Sunday in Miami surrounded by friends, including David Grutman, at Komodo. We're told he was in town recording new music, but made sure to live it up a little, in honor of his bday.

Conor McGregor brought Cinco de Mayo to Ireland on Saturday -- throwing a massive Mexican-themed party to celebrate his son's 1st birthday!

The UFC star took over the fancy Kildare Hotel just outside of Dublin -- one of the nicest hotels in the country.

The party for Conor McGregor Jr. had everything from a live band to a balloon animal guy ... and, of course, the best food money can buy -- including lobster.

Conor's entire family showed up -- his mom, sisters and girlfriend Dee Devlin. Everyone appeared to have a great time ... not at all bothered by the looming assault case in NYC.

Speaking of which, several of Conor's fighting buddies were reportedly at the birthday party, too ... but don't worry -- no one got hit with a steel dolly.
