Nas needs to open his fat wallet a lot more now to support his kid ... at least that's what Kelis is gunning for.
Kelis just filed legal docs saying $8k a month ain't cuttin' it anymore in the child support department. She says 8-year-old Knight has needs he didn't have 5 years ago when the order was put in place.
She says Nas is doing way better now than he was when the judge ordered him to cough up the $8k monthly support, so he's more than able to foot the bill for various expenses.
She's not specific as to how much more she wants, but whatever she gets, she wants add-ons to the base ... namely, 50% of school-related costs, 50% of any child care Kelis needs, and 50% of unreimbursed health care.
The judge has yet to rule.

John Schneider Gets Reprieve From Judge ... Over Delinquent Spousal Support
John Schneider got a big break from the judge presiding over his divorce war ... he has a month to make good on a ton of delinquent spousal support, but the clock is ticking.
John is behind more than $150,000 in support, and Elvira's pissed. She was trying to hold him in contempt of court, which could have landed him behind bars, but the judge has postponed judgment day until March 14.
The judge said John must transfer his property in Apple Valley to Elvira to satisfy the delinquency. He must also resolve his tax liens on that property before the March deadline.
John told the judge, "I'm sorry, embarrassed and humiliated to be in this financial situation."
The judge put the screws to John, saying he must be totally transparent about his finances.
One of the things that came out during the hearing ... John did a concert last Friday and pulled in $2,580.
Elvira had complained John was in the red because he's been making crappy TV shows and movies.
As we reported ... he was ordered to pay $18,911 per month back in September 2016.

Disso Queen Laura Wasser Launches Do-It-Yourself Divorce Website
Laura Wasser, one of the most prominent divorce lawyers in the country, is firing up a website today which allows couples who want to end their marriage a way of doing it on their own for a super reasonable cost, with a little help from a lawyer.
The site, itsovereasy.com, guides couples through the process of filling out forms and dealing with issues such as child custody, child and spousal support as well as property division.
The cost is way cheaper than hiring a lawyer ... $750 plus court costs. Add another $750 for a half hour call with a lawyer who can serve as a mediator to explain the process and help resolve conflicts. Lawyers are available for longer mediations for an additional cost.
The site also has YouTube videos to walk people through the process if they're not into reading instructions.
And there's more ... a bunch of contributors give accounts of their divorces and how they navigated them. There are also referrals to co-parenting counselors, financial planners and even personal trainers who focus on life after divorce.
It's interesting ... Wasser reps just about every big celeb who gets divorced, so why the whole do-it-yourself thing? She says lawyers are often beyond the financial reach of couples who end up going through the process without assistance or vital information. Plus the site avoids a big pitfall ... hiring certain divorce lawyers who fuel conflict to rack up fees.

Jesse Williams' Ex He Introduced Kids to His New GF ... Started Cupcake War, Too!!
Jesse Williams' estranged wife has several new beefs with him -- the biggest being introducing the kids to his new girlfriend, and showing a complete lack of cupcake etiquette ... according to new legal docs.
First, the gf issues. Aryn Drake-Lee says the "Grey's Anatomy" star has been taking their 2 kids to his new chick's house since October -- and the kids even call her "Mama C." She also claims he took them on a mini-vacay to Big Bear Mtn. with the unnamed gf.
Aryn says this is a clear violation of the custody agreement which requires both of them to wait 6 months into a new relationship before introducing the children.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Jesse also broke a golden rule at their daughter's school last month. Aryn says Jesse brought cupcakes to celebrate 4-year-old Sadie's birthday -- a big no-no because the school picks one day each month to celebrate all students' bdays together.
She claims Jesse also screwed her with Sadie. In the docs, Aryn says Sadie tearfully said "she was mad at me for not attending her birthday party" at school.
She says there are other issues ... mostly caused by Jesse's erratic schedule, and lack of notice before he picks up the kids. Aryn's asking the judge to set a more rigid and consistent schedule for his visits.
A source close to the former couple claims Aryn is making up lies because she's obsessed with being seen as a victim, and she can't do that if people see Jesse as the fun, caring, good person he is.
