NFL's Josh Gordon Yes I Boozed But I'm Not An Alcoholic

Published | Updated

Cleveland Browns superstar Josh Gordon admits he chugged 4 drinks on a private jet to Vegas after the team's final loss this season ... but insists he's NOT an alcoholic.

Gordon just spilled his guts in an open letter to several high profile media members including Charles Barkley, Cris Carter and Stephen A. Smith -- blasting them for taking him to task over his reported substance abuse.

In the letter, posted on The Cauldron, Gordon is adamant he's not an alcoholic or a pothead ... but admits he's been making bad decisions over the past few years.

Gordon says he hasn't smoked weed in years -- and when he tested positive for the green stuff during an NFL drug test, it was due to "inadvertently inhaling second-hand marijuana smoke last offseason."

"Truth is, I have not smoked marijuana since before I was drafted by the Browns in 2012  -- and there are years worth of drug tests to prove it."

As for testing positive for alcohol earlier this month after an NFL-imposed ban from booze (following his DWI) ... Gordon says he imbibed with teammates on a private jet to Vegas on January 2.

"Just days after our season ended earlier than we all had hoped  -- and yes, my actions during the prior offseason definitely contributed to our failure to make the playoffs; it killed me seeing our guys fight so hard when I wasn’t out there with them — I boarded a private flight to Las Vegas with several teammates. During the flight, I had two beers and two drinks."

Gordon says, "It was the first time I had consumed so much as a drop of alcohol since July 4, 2014, the day of the DWI."

Gordon admits "I failed myself" -- but concludes with a message to his celebrity critics:

"If you see me someday, Chuck, Stephen A., Cris, or any other well-intentioned person to whom this letter is directed, please come on over, shake my hand, and say hello. I won’t be holding a grudge, but I will expect you to admit you were wrong about me."

Jimmy Fallon Had Him a Blast With ... Drunken 'Grease' Sing-Along

Published | Updated

Jimmy Fallon relived his famous send-off from "SNL" -- singing a "Grease" classic -- but this time he had a barroom full of hammered backup singers ... which just made it more awesome.

Fallon was at NYC's Marie's Crisis Cafe last weekend when most of the bar started singing "Summer Nights" ... with Jimmy leading the chorus. But check out the video -- it wasn't easy keeping the buzzed crowd on the beat ... or the right verse.

Jimmy still managed to bring down the house, just like in his final "SNL" in 2004 -- where we're guessing there was slightly less drinking than in the bar.

JaMarcus Russell Poppin Bottles With Rick Ross

Published | Updated

JaMarcus Russell might've finally given up on his NFL dreams, but his dreams of living like a boss look very alive 'cause TMZ Sports has a pic of the former #1 overall pick hanging with one of the biggest stars in rap ... Rick Ross.

The two hung out on January 16th after Ross performed the same day at the Nightown nightclub in Destin, Florida. We're told Russell -- a HUGE fan -- heard about the show and drove all the way in to chop it up with Rozay.

Judging from the pic, the two seemed to hit it off -- and had a great time while partying with several bottles of Ross' Luc Belaire Rare Rose.

Here's the thing ... Russell has struggled with substance abuse in the past (sizzurp) ... and also had a close call with foreclosure -- so it's interesting to see him balling out with booze and a fancy piece of jewelry on his wrist.

On a more hilarious note -- the reason why Russell is partly cropped out of the picture is because the woman who took the photo is Julia Beverly -- the founder of Ozone Magazine and Pimp C's biographer -- and she didn't know who he was.

Oops.

Josh Gordon Welcomed Back to Sling Cars ... Again

Published | Updated

They say when God closes a door, he opens a window -- and for Josh Gordon, that door is being an NFL star receiver ... but the window is selling Fords in Randolph, Ohio.

Gordon is facing a possible one-year suspension for allegedly failing another drug and alcohol test.

But TMZ Sports has learned he's already got a plan B, if he wants it -- his old job hawking cars and SUVs for Sarchione Auto Group is once again available. If you remember, Gordon worked there in 2014 during his 10 game suspension ... and Senior Sales Associate Mike Sabatine says the dealership would love to have him back.

Despite Josh's repeated troubles with pot and booze -- Sabatine says he never saw Josh drink or smoke, and says the guy he knew busted his ass on the job "just like the rest of us."

Gordon's suspension is not official yet. He can still appeal, but chances are ... he should start brushing up on Ford's 2015 models.

Three-Boobed Woman Busted for DUI Twice the Legal Limit!

Published | Updated

Jasmine Tridevil -- aka the woman who went around claiming she had three boobs -- was busted early Monday morning for suspicion of DUI, but her BAC wasn't three times the legal limit ... JUST TWO!

Tridevil (real name Alicia Hessler) was popped by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department in Tampa, FL at 3:47 AM. She was booked into the Orient Road Jail a short time later. The strip search must have been awfully interesting.

According to the booking info, Hessler's blood alcohol content was .180 and .178 in two tests ... each more than twice the legal limit in Florida.

She is currently still in custody and being held on $500 bail.

Tridevil made the rounds last September when she went around claiming to have a third breast. To the surprise of no one ... she turned out to be a fake.

Hope Solo Husband Driving U.S. Team Van ... During DUI Arrest [Update]

Published | Updated

12:20 PM PT -- Multiple law enforcement sources tell us Stevens' blood alcohol level was around 4 TIMES the legal limit ... which would put it somewhere in the neighborhood of .32.

Hope Solo's husband Jerramy Stevens was driving a U.S. Soccer team van at the time of his DUI arrest Monday morning ... and we're told it was the main reason Hope was suspended from the team.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Stevens -- a former NFL tight end -- was pulled over in front of a Manhattan Beach hotel around 1:49 AM while Hope was in the vehicle ... and both appeared to be hammered.

As we first reported, Hope was belligerent with the arresting officers -- and now we've learned cops went out of their way to try to keep Hope out of cuffs ... despite the fact she was being a "major pain."

We're told cops asked hotel staffers to take Hope inside the hotel and keep her away from the situation while they arrested her husband in order to keep her from doing something stupid.

The U.S. National Soccer Team later suspended Hope for 30 days -- and we're told soccer officials were especially upset that Hope allowed her husband to drive the team van ... potentially leaving the team liable had there been an accident.

We reached out to team officials for comment -- so far, no word back.

Amanda Bynes Wins DUI Battle But Could Lose the War

Published | Updated

Good news/bad news for Amanda Bynes -- she won't be prosecuted for DUI ... but the arrest could still get her thrown in jail.

We've learned the L.A. City Attorney has decided not to prosecute Bynes for her September 2014 DUI bust ... for driving under the influence of Adderall.

We're told the City Attorney doesn't think he can sell the case to a jury because she had a relatively low level of the drug in her bloodstream.

Now the bad news. The City Attorney has referred the matter to the D.A., because driving with ANY Adderall in her system could constitute a probation violation. You'll recall ... the D.A. scored a DUI conviction against Bynes back in 2012 for driving under the influence.

The D.A. could try to revoke her probation, and she could be thrown in jail as a result. But here's the reality ... Amanda has serious mental health issues, and it's unlikely the D.A. will go after her if it gets in the way of her treatment.

This morning, Solo was out and about in L.A. -- and as she returned back to her hotel (sans Stevens) she told us she had a "great weightlifting session" ... but wouldn't talk about the arrest.

Published | Updated

Former "One Life To Live" star Brandon Buddy's already made a few bad choices in real life this year -- which is kinda written all over his face in this mug shot -- he got busted for DWI in Texas.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... cops were alerted on Sunday when a seemingly intoxicated Buddy -- covered in scratches -- was seen taking off in his car after grabbing beer at an Austin gas station.

After being stopped, an allegedly semi-conscious Buddy was evaluated at a nearby hospital and arrested for DWI.

Buddy's also being investigated for possessing dangerous drugs. Cops say they found prescription meds in his car on Jan. 4th.

He's still in jail for the DWI.

Hope Solo's Husband BUSTED FOR DUI 'Don't You Know Who We Are?'

Published | Updated

9:23 AM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell us ... Hope Solo was in the car with Stevens when he was pulled over for allegedly swerving on the road.

We're told Solo was "acting belligerent" in the car ... and pulled out her cell phone to record officers during the stop.

One source says "they were a major pain" ... and cops were thiiis close to arresting Solo for disorderly conduct.

We're told both Solo and Stevens were trying to play the dreaded, "Don't you know who we are?" card.

As for Stevens, we're told he refused to submit to a breath test -- so cops got a warrant to take him to a hospital to test his blood. Ultimately, cops were convinced he was wasted and arrested him for DUI.

The timing is interesting ... considering Solo was JUST let off the hook in a domestic violence case against her nephew and sister in which she was accused of going on a drunken violent tirade.

Former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens -- who's married to USA soccer star Hope Solo -- was arrested for DUI in Los Angeles this week ... TMZ Sports has learned.

According to officials, the 35-year-old was popped for driving under the influence around 1:49 AM on Monday morning. Police say he was initially pulled over because his headlights were off.

Bail was set at $5,000.

According to his booking sheet, Stevens is listed at 6'7", 245 pounds.

This isn't Stevens' first arrest -- he was busted in 2012 for assault after allegedly getting violent with Solo ... though the case was eventually dropped for lack of evidence.

Stevens -- a former 1st round draft pick -- played in the NFL for 9 seasons ... and was part of Seattle's 2005 squad that lost in the Super Bowl to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dustin Johnson I DON'T HAVE A COKE PROBLEM ... But I Boozed Too Much

Published | Updated

PGA stud Dustin Johnson -- who's engaged to Paulina Gretzky -- says he's NOT a cokehead ... but admits he has struggled with alcohol abuse in recent years.

Johnson has been away from pro golf for the past few months ... ever since he reportedly tested positive for cocaine TWICE -- though Dustin denies the reports.

In fact, when he was asked specifically about cocaine use in a new interview with Golf.com, Johnson said, "I did not have a problem. It’s just something I’m not going to get into. I have issues. But that’s not the issue.”

So, what WAS the issue? Sounds like booze played a role ... with Dustin saying he's cut back on the alcohol and is trying to learn how to drink in moderation.

"I don’t miss waking up with a hangover, and I didn’t drink very often. It was just when I did it was a little too much."

DJ says he even had a $1,000 bet with Wayne Gretzky and eight other pals to see who could go into January without drinking.

Dustin is also adamant he never entered a rehab center -- but says he did hire a team of experts, including a life coach, to help him get his life back on track.

He's expected to return to the PGA circuit next month.

Marshawn Lynch RB Honored With NEW Weed Strain ... Beastmode 2.0

Published | Updated

Marshawn Lynch is getting one of the highest honors one can receive in Seattle -- a SECOND strain of weed has been named after the NFL star ... and we're told it's as strong as Beastmode himself.

We spoke with Nate "Diggity" Johnson -- owner of the Queen Anne Cannabis Club in Seattle -- who tells us that after the original "Beastmode" strain sold so well last year, growers wanted to up the ante with a more powerful strain in the hopes the Seahawks would get back to the Super Bowl.

The bet paid off ... and "Diggity" says the new stuff (called Beastmode 2.0) has 5% more THC than last year's Beastmode weed -- which flew off the shelves.

"It's a super pain reliever," Diggity says ... "And hits you just like Marshawn -- hard and fast."

Then after you smoke it ... FeastMode?

Scott Disick Turning Over a New Leaf ... For a Price

Published | Updated

Scott Disick finally may be ready to get sober and clean up his act in the name of family ... but you better believe he's gonna make a buck off of it.

Disick (or more likely his assistant) posted an obviously-sponsored tweet Monday, writing, "It's 2015, get up! Perfect start to the year. My @BooteaUK teatox from Bootea.com. Time for a cleanse!"

Considering Disick's recent bender in Aspen just a month after baby mama Kourtney Kardashian gave birth ... you have to wonder if it's too little too late.
