Quinton Aaron from "The Blind Side" got in trouble last night with police, but he tells us it's simply a case of cops being "dicks."

Quinton was pulled over on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and cops impounded the SUV because the registration had expired.

So Quinton was stuck in the rain and ended up calling an Uber to hitch a ride home.

The actor is bitter, telling us he HAD paid the registration but got lazy and didn't have the vehicle smog checked. He says he tried explaining it to the deputies but, he says, "They were dicks and wouldn't listen."

FUN FACT FOR QUINTON: Your car is not registered until you complete a smog check. That's why you have expired tags.

8:21 AM PT -- The judge has THROWN OUT the attempted murder charges against Silva, claiming there isn't enough evidence to prove the UFC fighter ever intended to kill his wife, despite allegedly pulling a gun on her on multiple occasions and sending threatening text messages to her.

The judge explained, "It just seems if he wanted to shoot Mrs. Silva, he would've done it. He didn't do it."

Instead, Silva was hit with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm ... and the judge has decided to hold him in custody without bond.

Silva was not only deemed a flight risk, due to his connections in Brazil -- but the judge says there's a high risk he'll commit violence against his wife.

Thiago's lawyer had argued that his fighter was being unfairly judged because of his occupation as a UFC fighter -- saying, "There's an overreaction [with the charges] simply because the man, what he does for a living."

During the hearing, Silva's lawyer said the fighter is dead broke ... and desperately needs the paycheck he'll receive for his scheduled fight in Dallas at UFC 171.

However, UFC honcho Dana White tells TMZ Sports ... "This guy will never fight in the UFC again."

THE ALLEGATIONS -- Silva's wife told police Thiago went nuclear because he suspected his wife was having an affair with MMA instructor Pablo Popovitch, who runs a jiu-jitsu center in South Florida.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, Thiago pulled up to Pablo's training center Thursday night ... pulled out a GLOCK and pointed it at his wife.

Thiago allegedly told his wife, "You have ten seconds to bring Pablo outside and if he does not come out, I will go in the gym and start shooting everyone."

Cops say the class was filled with 25 students at the time of the altercation.

Thiago's wife told cops Pablo raced out of the center to protect Silva's wife -- and that's when Thiago threatened to kill them both. Pablo then raced inside the gym to call 911. That's when Silva drove back to his home.

There's more ... cops say there was ANOTHER violent incident between Thiago and his wife on January 30 -- when he accused her of cheating on him.

Thiago's wife says he got so angry, he pulled out a silver revolver and shoved it into her mouth -- while threatening to shoot her. Thiago's wife eventually got free and obtained a restraining order against the UFC fighter.

THE ARREST -- UFC fighter Thiago Silva was arrested Thursday night for attempted murder following a standoff with a SWAT team after he allegedly threatened people at a jiu-jitsu school and barricaded himself inside his home -- and we have footage showing the moment he was finally captured.

Cops in Broward County, FL say the incident began just before 8 PM, when Silva went to the school owned by famed instructor Pablo Popovitch. Silva -- sporting blue board shorts -- allegedly threatened people there and then went back to his home.

According to police, Silva barricaded himself inside the home. The SWAT team arrived a short time later and surrounded the place as officials tried to get him to surrender. Silva finally gave himself up around 11:15 PM.

TMZ Sports has obtained video of Silva in the back of the cop car. The photog asked him if he pulled a gun on his wife. Silva responded no, adding, "She wants my house, she wants my money." And then he says, "Just don't report this. Can you do that for me?"

Once in the police station, Silva flipped off photogs as officers booked the fighter on 4 criminal charges -- 2 counts of attempted felony murder, one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of resisting arrest.

The 31-year-old Brazilian-born fighter is 16-3 in the UFC -- and was expected to fight at UFC 171 in March. We're guessing that ain't gonna happen now.

Justin Bieber is not only out of control ... he's hard-core stupid. He knew last week -- before he took off for New Jersey -- his plane would get searched by U.S. Customs yet he and his friends still hotboxed on the private jet.

TMZ has confirmed .... the pilot radioed in the air Justin and his gang were smoking weed on the plane and the flight attendant couldn't get them to stop. The pilot complained the smoke in the cabin was thick. NBC News says the pilot actually had to don a gas mask because it was so bad.

Now here's what's incredible ... TMZ has previously reported Justin is on a Homeland Security watch list because of 2 pending criminal cases.

Multiple sources connected with Bieber tell TMZ ... Justin's people called federal officials before the plane took off and they were informed Justin was on the list. Justin's people told him before he got on the jet that he would be searched in New Jersey and interrogated, yet Bieber STILL smoked up the aircraft.

We're also told Bieber and his buds were abusive to the flight attendant because she ordered them to stop smoking ... in vain.

And to add icing to the cake ... Bieber's father was on the plane.

By the time the plane landed the weed was gone, but drug-sniffing dogs detected trace amounts.

One person who was on the plane 3 hours after it landed says it continued to reek of marijuana.

Chris Brown made a little pit stop on his way back to rehab Sunday -- after visiting his lawyer -- he dropped by Trey Songz' blowout Super Bowl party ... filled with girls and booze ... and it's possible the shindig could land Chris in some hot water.

Brown was given a pass out of rehab Sunday specifically to meet with his attorney, Mark Geragos, for the singer's court hearing the next day.

After the meeting, Chris decided it would be fun to enjoy a few Super Bowl moments with his pal Trey Songz. There was nothing in the rehab pass indicating partying with chicks and booze was ok.

Sources close to Chris tell TMZ, he was only there for around 10 minutes ... and only because he thought the party was for charity. We can't help but call BS. There's no evidence there was any fundraising going on, and even if there was ... it's irrelevant.

Our Chris sources say he didn't drink and was monitored by a rehab worker at the party.

Calls to Chris' reps weren't returned.

Selena Gomez went to rehab last month ... and sources connected with the singer say she blames Justin Bieber for her predicament.

We've learned Gomez went to The Meadows in Arizona for 2 weeks of treatment.

Sources say Selena went for a combination of problems, including alcohol, pot and prescription Ambien. She's also addicted to Justin Bieber.

We're told Selena's decision was largely based on "that crazy boy" -- aka Bieber. Selena blames a lot of her problems on the excesses she was exposed to by being around Bieber and his buddies.

Sources close to Gomez tell us ... people in Selena's camp went ballistic when they found out she was hanging out again with Justin ... and saw photos of her joyriding with him on Segways. We're told that was the final straw -- she checked into rehab immediately after that.

The 2-week treatment was part of a program called DAWN at The Meadows ... specifically designed for people between 18 and 26. DAWN specializes in substance dependence, trauma, family dynamics, mental health and relapse prevention.

We're told Selena is not getting outpatient help now nor is she in therapy.

George Foreman's 23-year-old son -- George Edward Foreman the 5th -- was arrested in Texas this weekend after cops say he assaulted his wife.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, officials say George the 5th choked Ashley McVea-Figueroa during an altercation on February 2.

The documents say George attacked Ashley by "impeding the normal breathing and circulation of the blood ... by applying pressure to [her] throat and [her] neck."

We're told Ashley was the person who called 911 ... and during the call, George threatened to leave the house with their child.

George was eventually arrested and booked for felony assault. Court docs show Foreman was released on $10,000 bond.

G5 is one of Foreman's 12 children -- his five sons are all legally named "George" ... but they all go by various nicknames.

Nick Cannon got fired up about Google's Black History Month tribute featuring Harriet Tubman -- and sparked some outrage on the Internet -- but the company doesn't think it did anything wrong ... TMZ has learned.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was clearly prepping to use heroin for the long haul before he died, because we now know ... cops found approximately 50 heroin bags in the NYC apartment.

Law enforcement sources initially put the number of bags at 10 ... but now we know the number is 5 times that. Our sources say a number of the bags were full ... along with a number of unused needles. The upshot ... Hoffman was ready for a heroin binge.

Oklahoma State University basketball star Stevie Clark is in trouble again ... this time the 19-year-old freshman was arrested for allegedly peeing out of the window of a moving vehicle, TMZ Sports has learned.

Law enforcement tells us ... Clark was arrested at 12:46 AM on Sunday in Stillwater, OK after cops observed a man busting a #1 outside of a car window.

The Stillwater PD tells TMZ Sports ... Clark appeared to be "extremely intoxicated" at the time of the arrest.

Clark was arrested for "outraging public decency" and was hauled to a nearby jail. He was released a short time later after posting bond.

FYI -- if convicted, Clark will NOT be forced to register as a sex offender.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead Sunday in a New York City apartment of an apparent drug overdose ... TMZ has learned authorities found a needle in his arm.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the actor was found Sunday morning inside a Greenwich apartment ... and they're still on scene investigating.

Our sources say ... Hoffman was found in his bathroom in his boxer shorts, with a needle sticking out of his left arm. We're told police found 10 glassine envelopes -- 2 of the envelopes had heroin ... the others presumably were empty.

One of the envelopes had "Ace of Spades" written on it, and another had an ace of hearts symbol -- such symbols and words are often markers from people who make heroin -- to brand it.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Hoffman was supposed to pick up his kids at 9 AM Sunday but didn't show -- which was unusual for him. A playwright and a friend became concerned, came over and found the actor alone in the apartment.

Details surrounding his death are unclear ... but the actor had struggled with drug problems ... most recently checking himself into a rehab facility for heroin back in May.

TMZ broke the story of Hoffman going to rehab. We were told he did it as a preventative measure because he was getting close to a major relapse. A source involved in Hoffman's treatment now tells TMZ ... the actor said at the time he was on the brink of becoming a heroin IV user and wanted to nip it in the bud before that happened.

As we previously reported ... Hoffman had been clean for 23 years but fell off the wagon in 2012.

It appears Hoffman's last interview was at the Sundance Film Festival with XiXi Yang from PopStopTV for his movie "A Wanted Man."

Hoffman's family released a statement saying, "We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support."

Law enforcement sources tell us his autopsy will take place Monday.

5:45 PM PT We're told Bieber has just been released.

5:03 PM PT -- We were just told Bieber is still being questioned -- and everyone has ordered out for pizza. Cops tell us ... it's gonna be a while.

2:55 PM PT -- TMZ has learned Justin is now being held and questioned by U.S. Customs officials.

12:59 PM PT -- We're told all passengers were released. No drugs were found.

Justin Bieber's private jet touched down outside NYC for the Super Bowl -- and authorities immediately held him for questioning ... because of a strong odor of pot coming from his plane ... TMZ has learned.

We're told ... the plane was stopped after it arrived at Teterboro airport in New Jersey. As we told you ... Justin, his dad and some friends were traveling there for Super Bowl parties.

Sources tell us law enforcement is holding the plane ... because they think there may be marijuana on board. We're told the plane and the passengers are currently being searched ... but so far no pot has been found.

A source close to Bieber tells us, the passengers knew they'd be searched ... since they were flying into the U.S. from Canada.

The Miami Beach PD is investigating its own ... after a female cop tried to take a pic of Justin Bieber behind bars ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... while Justin was in jail last week in Miami Beach -- being processed for DUI and resisting arrest -- a patrol officer showed up and made her way to the area where Bieber was being held.

We're told the officer had no business being in the area ... and had no connection to the arrest.

Our sources say ... a Sgt. noticed her pulling out her cell phone, attempting to take a pic of Bieber. We're told the Sgt. jumped in front of the officer and blocked the shot.

The Sgt. ordered the officer out of the area and she left.

The Sgt. wrote the officer up for "conduct unbecoming an officer" -- which triggered an internal affairs investigation.

Lindsay Lohan has no problem collecting a paycheck from convicted cocaine smugglers ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Lindsay tell us ... it's inconceivable that she'd bail out of the film, "Inconceivable" ... despite reports the money men -- who've backed several Hollywood movies, including "Lone Survivor" with Mark Wahlberg -- were convicted of coke trafficking.

L.A. Weekly reported the men -- Remington Chase and Stepan Martirosyan -- were convicted in 1993. There were even allegations they put a hit out on a guy in Moscow.

Our Lindsay source tells us ... she was in the dark about the guys until recently ... but she's never run from coke before ... so she's doing the movie -- period.

Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman threw down the challenge, offering George money to step in the ring. Now here's the kicker ... the opponent has NOT been selected.

"Real Housewives of New York" star Ramona Singer has filed for divorce ... and judging from her legal docs she's out for blood in the wake of rumors her hubby cheated on her.

According to legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Ramona wants ALL of their houses -- an apartment in NYC and a house in the ritzy Hamptons.

Earlier this week Ramona called 911 for a domestic dispute after she claimed to have found Mario -- her husband of more than 2 decades -- in the house with another woman.

Ramona says the marriage is irretrievably broken ... and says it's been that way for at least 6 months.

The couple has one daughter ... who is 18.

Ex-Detroit Lions RB Jahvid Best says the NFL should NEVER have allowed him to enter the 2010 Draft ... because he had a well-documented history of concussions in college that made it UNSAFE for him to compete as a pro.

Best -- who was forced to end his NFL career in 2012 after suffering multiple concussions -- is suing the league ... and in the docs, he says the NFL should have saved him from himself.

In the docs, Best points out that during his college career at UC Berkeley ... he suffered at least 2 concussions, one of which made national news.

In fact, Best says the famous hit he took against Oregon State in 2009 became a viral video sensation because the play was so ferocious, many people thought he was killed on impact.

Best went on to declare for the NFL Draft and was cleared by the league. He was selected by the Lions in the 1st Round ... and during his brief pro career, suffered at least 2 more concussions that eventually ended his career in 2013.

In his lawsuit, Best pins the blame for his compromised health on the league ... saying, "The [NFL] allowed Best to be drafted and play despite his history of brain injury.”

Best says because of the NFL's actions ... he suffered "permanent and severe injuries to his brain."

He's suing the NFL and others for unspecified damages -- but it's clear he wants a fortune.
